Abstract

Concrete having high density, which can be used, in particular, as a ballast, counterweight or balancing (compensating) material, is obtained by mixing of blasting sand (grit), haematite, cement, a water-reducing synthetic resin binder and a setting accelerator. In this way it is possible to produce concrete having an accurate density between 3,200 and 6,300 kg/m<3>.
