Abstract
Una cubierta protectora del pie que comprende un par de hojas planas superior e inferior superpuestas, que poseen bordes periféricos curvados, los cuales definen una superficie superior en aproximadamente 30 a 100 por ciento a la definida por el perfil del pie del usuario; estando formada dicha hoja superior en un elastómero esencialmente no poroso y de alto grado de alargamiento, siendo éste de por lo menos un 300 por ciento, y estando formada dicha hoja inferior en un material tenaz, poroso y resistente a la humedad; soldándose herméticamente entre si las partes de los bordes periféricas de dichas hojas, para definir un espacio entre dichas hojas, a fin de recibir el pie del usuario; presentando dicha hoja superior una abertura para la inserción del pie del usuario dentro de dicho espacio; presentando la citada abertura cuando dicha hoja superior no se halla sujeta a tensión una superficie inferior a una décima parte de la superficie definida por el perfil de las referidas hojas superpuestas.
