Definitions
- the present invention relates to the technical field of garment storage systems, for example, for a jacket, allowing the garment to be stored when not in use.
- the invention specifically relates to storage systems that can be worn around the waist by a user. These systems are particularly useful during hiking, where hikers regularly need to put on or take off protective clothing, such as a jacket or rain pants, depending on the weather conditions.
- One aim of the present invention is to provide a storage system that remedies the aforementioned drawbacks.
- the invention relates to a garment storage system, for example a jacket, around the waist of a user, the storage system comprising a pocket including a first pocket part having at least one opening and a second pocket part connected to the first pocket part, said second pocket part having an end part cooperating with a fastener configured to be connected to said garment, said second pocket part being able to take a retracted position in which it extends at least partially inside the first pocket part, and a deployed position in which it extends out of the first pocket part, in line with said first pocket part, so as to define with said first pocket part an internal volume for the pocket, the storage system further comprising a pull device cooperating with the end part of the second pocket part, the pull device enabling the said end part of the second pocket part to be pulled so as to turn the second pocket part over on itself and to bring the second pocket part from the retracted position to the deployed position, whereby the said second pocket part draws the said garment into the inner volume of the pocket, via the said opening of the first pocket part.
- the storage system according to the invention is particularly suitable for storing all types of clothing, including jackets, trousers, or jerseys, around a user's waist.
- This storage system is also suitable for being worn by the user at waist level, for example, mounted on a belt or attached to another garment worn by the user at waist level.
- the first and second pocket sections preferably each have the shape of a sleeve.
- the first pocket section advantageously extends along a longitudinal direction.
- the end portion of the second pocket part may include an opening.
- the first pocket section and the second pocket section form two separate pieces joined together, for example by stitching.
- the first pocket section advantageously includes a first connecting edge
- the second pocket section includes a second connecting edge.
- the first connecting edge is then advantageously joined to the second connecting edge. so as to form the pocket.
- the first connecting edge of the first part of the pocket is advantageously opposite the opening.
- first pocket part and the second pocket part can form a single piece.
- the pulling device includes a handle and a cord connecting said handle to the end part of the second pocket part.
- the second pocket section advantageously comprises a wall having a first face and a second face.
- first face advantageously extends outwards from the second pocket section, while the second face extends inwards from the second pocket section.
- second pocket section advantageously extends inwards, while in the deployed position, it extends upright.
- the drawing device is connected to the end part of the second pocket part.
- the pulling device may be attached to the end portion of the second pocket section.
- the pulling device may cooperate with the end portion of the second pocket section without being attached to it.
- the pulling device may be slidably mounted to the end portion of the second pocket section.
- the drawing device is advantageously connected to the second face of said wall of the second part of the pocket.
- the second pocket section advantageously extends inside the first pocket section for more than half its length, preferably almost entirely inside the first pocket section. Furthermore, when the second pocket section is retracted, it advantageously extends through the opening of the first pocket section so that its end portion advantageously extends beyond the first pocket section.
- the said attachment is advantageously connected to the first face of the said wall of the second pocket section.
- the said attachment advantageously extends out of the second pocket section when the said second pocket section is in the retracted position.
- the end part of the second pocket part is equipped with the fastener.
- the fastener is configured to be connected to said garment in order to secure said garment to the second part of the pocket.
- said fastener may be attached to the end portion of the second pocket section.
- said fastener may cooperate with the end portion of the second pocket section without being attached to said end portion of the second pocket section.
- said fastener may be slidably mounted to the end portion of the second pocket section.
- the second pocket section when the garment is outside the pocket, particularly when worn, the second pocket section, in its retracted position, extends inside the first pocket section, significantly reducing the bulk of the pocket and therefore the storage system. Consequently, the storage system can be easily worn by the user at waist level, for example, attached to a belt, without causing any discomfort.
- This storage system is especially useful for hiking, where the bulk of the equipment carried must be minimal.
- the user removes the garment and then applies a pulling force to the end of the second pocket section using the draw device.
- This pulling force is advantageously directed in the opposite direction to the opening of the first pocket section.
- This pulling force is advantageously directed along the longitudinal direction of the first pocket section.
- This force is advantageously directed substantially horizontally.
- This pulling force is, for example, applied by pulling on a handle of the draw device.
- This pulling force causes the second pocket section to move along the same longitudinal direction as the first pocket section.
- the second pocket section is pulled out of the first pocket section and simultaneously folded back on itself.
- the garment is pulled and guided into the pocket through the opening of the first pocket section. The garment then expands within the pocket's interior volume.
- Said attachment is preferably configured to pass through said opening of the first pocket part when the second pocket part is brought from the retracted position to the deployed position.
- the garment when the second pocket section is in the deployed position, the garment extends partly inside the first pocket section and partly inside the second pocket section.
- said garment could extend entirely inside the second part of the pocket.
- the internal volume of the pocket corresponds to the internal volume of the first part of the pocket plus the internal volume of the second part of the pocket in the deployed position.
- the second part of the pocket therefore acts as a guide to bring the garment into the pocket, but also as a housing to receive the garment.
- the first face of the wall of the second pocket section advantageously extends inwards while the second face of said wall extends outwards.
- the second pocket section extends in its upright position when deployed.
- the second pocket section protrudes from one side of the first pocket section opposite the opening.
- the deployment of the second pocket section guides the garment into the pocket's interior.
- the garment is then easily and quickly placed inside the pocket with a single pulling motion using the pull mechanism.
- the user does not need to directly manipulate the garment to place it inside the pocket, as it is guided inward during the deployment of the second pocket section.
- the invention eliminates the particularly tedious step of stuffing the garment into a pocket. Consequently, the garment stored in the pocket of the system according to the invention is less wrinkled, and the risk of damage to the garment is reduced.
- the user is also not required to hold the pocket in their hands to store the garment, allowing the pocket to be left attached at the user's waist, for example on a belt, behind the user's back. Storing the garment is further simplified.
- the internal volume of the pocket when the second part of the pocket is in the deployed position is greater than its volume when the second part of the pocket is in the retracted position, allowing it to accommodate the entire garment, regardless of its size.
- the garment stored in the pocket is then positioned at the user's waist.
- the pocket can be rolled, at least partially, around the user's waist.
- this pulling force on the garment causes the second pocket section to move inside the first pocket section, into the retracted position.
- the second pocket section folds back on itself when moving from the deployed to the retracted position.
- the storage system further includes a belt configured to encircle the user's waist, with the first part of the pocket being mounted on this belt.
- the pocket is advantageously mounted on a rear portion of the belt configured to extend into the user's back, whereby the said pocket extends into the user's back when the belt is worn.
- the said pocket is advantageously mounted in a removable manner on the said belt.
- the storage system further comprises a belt portion extending between a first end and a second end of said first pocket portion and configured to encircle the user's waist.
- This belt portion is advantageously attached to said first and second ends of the first pocket portion. This belt portion allows said pocket to be held in place around the user's waist.
- the end portion of the second pocket part in the deployed position is configured to be connected to the first pocket part so that said pocket forms a loop encircling the user's waist.
- One advantage is the ability to wrap the pouch around the user's waist and hold it in that position, reducing its bulk and making it easier to carry when the second part of the pouch is deployed and the garment is stored inside. It follows that the garment stored in the pouch also extends around the user's waist.
- the end part of the second pocket part can be connected directly or indirectly to the first pocket part.
- the user wraps the pouch around their waist, for example by continuing to pull on the end part of the second part pocket. He can then connect said end part to the first pocket part to form the loop and secure the pocket around his waist.
- the first pocket part, the belt or the portion of the belt includes a connection means, the end part of the second pocket part being provided with a linking member configured to cooperate with said connection means when said second pocket part is in the deployed position, in order to connect the end part of the second pocket part to the first pocket part.
- connection device can be located on the first pocket section, on the belt if the storage system includes one, or on the belt portion if the storage system includes one.
- the connection device is preferably located near the opening of the first pocket section.
- the end portion of the second pocket section is directly connected to the first pocket section.
- the end portion of the second pocket section is indirectly connected to the first pocket section.
- connection cooperating with the linking organ allows the pouch to be kept wrapped around the user's waist.
- the connecting means may include, but are not limited to, a hook, a connecting tab, a portion of a quick-release buckle, or a portion of hook-and-loop fastener.
- the connecting element may also include, but is not limited to, a hook, a connecting tab, a portion of a quick-release buckle, or a portion of hook-and-loop fastener.
- the pulling device includes said linking member, by means of which the pulling device makes it possible to bring the second part of the pocket into the deployed position but also to connect the end part of the second part of the pocket to the first part of the pocket.
- One advantage is that it allows the user to more easily connect the end of the second pocket section to the first pocket section to form the loop around their waist. Holding the pull device with one hand, the user can pull the garment into the pocket and then continue pulling to engage the connecting element with the connecting means.
- the handle of the pull device can, for example, incorporate the connecting element and be configured to work with the connecting means.
- the storage system comprises a belt configured to encircle the user's waist, the first pocket portion being mounted on the belt, the belt comprising a connecting means, the end portion of the second pocket portion being provided with a linking member configured to cooperate with the connecting means when the second pocket portion is in the deployed position.
- the connecting means is disposed in a front portion of the belt configured to extend in front of the user, thereby extending the connecting means in front of the user when the belt is worn.
- the pulling device includes said connecting element.
- the second pocket section when deployed, is designed to fold over the first pocket section before connecting the linking device.
- the second pocket section also extends down the user's back and does not interfere with their movement. This also reduces the pocket's bulk when the garment is stored.
- the first and second pocket sections are made of different materials.
- the first pocket section is preferably made of a waterproof material, for example, a woven membrane material.
- the second pocket section is preferably made of a stretch material, for example, stretch fabric.
- the second pocket section is elastically deformable, so its volume in the extended position is greater than its volume in the retracted position.
- One benefit is that the second pocket section deforms elastically when brought from the retracted to the extended position, due to the pulling force exerted by the draw device on its end. This deformation allows the garment to be drawn deeper into the pocket. Furthermore, when not being pulled, for example, when the garment is being worn, the second pocket section retracts, thus reducing its bulk.
- the second part of the pocket advantageously exhibits greater elasticity than the first part of the pocket.
- said opening is made on a first side of the first part of the pocket, so that said garment is brought into said inner volume of the pocket by said first side of said first part of the pocket.
- Said opening is advantageously formed in said first side of the first part of pocket.
- the garment is therefore not brought into the pocket from the top or bottom, but laterally.
- the garment is advantageously moved into the pocket along the longitudinal direction of the first part of the pocket.
- the end of the second pocket section is horn-shaped.
- One advantage is that it reduces the bulk of the second pocket section.
- the second pocket section has a pointed or tapered shape.
- said attachment extends inside said second pocket part when the latter is in the deployed position.
- said attachment extends outside said second part of pocket when the latter is in the retracted position.
- the pulling device comprises a handle and a cord connecting said handle to the end of the second pocket section.
- a handle and a cord connecting said handle to the end of the second pocket section.
- One advantage is that it facilitates deploying the second pocket section by allowing easy application of a pulling force by pulling on the handle. The pulling force applied to the handle is transmitted to the end of the second pocket section via the cord.
- the cord When the second pocket section is in the retracted position, the cord preferably extends at least partially inside the second pocket section, and even more preferably over more than half of its length.
- the said cord is advantageously elastically deformable.
- the pull device is slidably mounted on the end portion of the second pocket section.
- the pull device is not fixed to said end portion of the second pocket section.
- an opening is provided in the end part of the second part of the pocket, the drawing device further comprising a locking member cooperating with the cord, the cord of the drawing device passing through the opening so that said handle and said locking member extend on either side of the opening.
- the cord slides inside the opening until the locking mechanism presses against the end of the second pocket section, at the opening.
- the handle causes the locking mechanism to pull on the end of the second pocket section, turning the second pocket section inside out. and to bring the second part of the pocket from the retracted position to the deployed position.
- the cord slides through the opening, it can be more easily routed inside the second pocket section when it is in the retracted position, thus reducing the bulk of the pull device and preventing the cord and handle from dangling at the user's side. Another advantage is the ability to shorten the cord.
- said opening may be provided with an eyelet to facilitate the sliding of the cord.
- the locking mechanism when the second pocket section is in the retracted position, the locking mechanism extends out of both the first and second pocket sections.
- the locking mechanism when the second pocket section is in the deployed position, the locking mechanism extends inside the second pocket section.
- the locking device is preferably connected to the cord, or even more preferably, attached to the cord.
- the locking device may be in the form of a cord stop, a ring connected to the cord, or a knot formed on the cord.
- the fastener is slidably mounted on the end of the second pocket section.
- One benefit is that the fastener can be retracted more easily and efficiently inside the second pocket section when it is in the deployed position.
- an opening is provided in the end part of the second pocket part, the attachment comprising a strap and a locking piece cooperating with said strap, said strap passing through said opening so that the locking piece extends out of the second pocket part when the latter is in the deployed position.
- the strap By pulling on the garment, the strap slides inside the opening until the locking piece rests against the end of the second pocket section, at the level of the opening. By continuing to pull on the garment, the locking piece pulls on the end of the second pocket section, turning the second pocket section in on itself and bringing it from the deployed to the retracted position.
- the garment can be pulled deeper into the pocket. portion of said strap extending out of the second part of pocket, when the second part of pocket is in the deployed position.
- the locking piece preferably extends inside the second part of the pocket when the latter is in the retracted position.
- the fastener advantageously includes a loop portion connected to said strap.
- said attachment and said pulling device together form a pulling element which is mounted to slide relative to the end part of the second pocket part.
- an opening is provided in the end portion of the second pocket section, and the traction element comprises a slender element that slides through said opening.
- the fastening strap and the cord of the traction device together form the slender element of the traction element.
- the slender element slides advantageously within said opening.
- the locking piece and the locking mechanism extend on either side of the orifice.
- the locking piece and the locking mechanism are spaced apart.
- the invention also relates to a clothing set comprising a garment, for example a jacket, and a storage system as described above, said fastener being connected to a portion of the garment for securing it.
- the fastening portion includes a fastening element configured to cooperate with the fastener.
- the fastening element may, for example, include a quick-release buckle or a hook-and-loop fastener.
- this fastener is connected to the securing portion in a removable manner.
- One advantage is the ability to disconnect the garment from the storage system when it is desired to use or store them separately.
- the garment is a jacket.
- the user To put the jacket in the pocket, the user first unfastens the jacket so that it hangs from the pocket, before using the pull mechanism to bring it into said pocket.
- the garment could be trousers or a jersey.
- said garment fastening portion is located between a shoulder portion and a waist portion of the jacket. Said fastening portion is advantageously arranged on one side of the jacket.

- the second pocket portion is then progressively turned back on itself and extracted from the first pocket portion 22, as can be seen in figure 4 .
- the jacket 12, which is integral with said end part 24a, is pulled and guided inside the first pocket part via the opening 26.
- Said fastener 40 also passes through the opening 26.
- This pulling force also elastically deforms the second part of pocket 24, increasing its volume compared to its volume in the retracted position.
- One advantage is that it provides a larger volume for the garment, and also allows the jacket to be inserted deeper into pocket 20.
- the pulling force on the end part 24a is continued until the second pocket part 24 is brought into the deployed position, illustrated in figure 5 in which it extends in line with the first pocket section and out of the first pocket section.
- the first pocket section 22 and the second pocket section 24 then define an internal volume V for the pocket 20, into which the jacket 12 is brought.
- the jacket advantageously extends partly inside the first pocket section and partly inside the second pocket section.
- the second pocket section 24 is folded back on itself, so that in the deployed position the first face 28a of the wall of the second pocket section 24 extends towards the inside of said second pocket section while the second face 28b extends outwards.
- the fastener 40 then also extends inside the pocket.
- the pull device 30, and in particular the cord 34 and the handle 32, then extend out of the second pocket section 24 and out of the pocket 20.
- the user can continue pulling on the handle 32 of the pulling device 30 and wrap the pouch 20 around their waist to form a loop 52 encircling their waist.
- the user connects the handle 32 to the connecting means 33 and thus to the hook 33, so as to hold the pouch 20 around their waist.
- the end portion 24a of the second pouch portion 24 is then connected to the first pouch portion.
- the handle 32 forms a connecting element configured to cooperate with the connecting means 33.
- the pulling device 30 includes the connecting element.
- the connecting element could be separate from the connecting device.
- the aforementioned pocket 20 containing the jacket 12, then extends along the belt 16, around the user's waist.
- the jacket extends partly inside the first part of the pocket and partly inside the second part of the pocket.
- the pocket 20 is therefore compact and does not hinder the user's movements.
- the user disconnects the handle 32 from the connecting means 33. They then grasp the jacket 12 by reaching through the opening 26. They then pull the jacket out of the pocket 20 through the opening 26.
- the second pocket section 24 is drawn inside the first pocket section 22 and folds back on itself, returning to the retracted position illustrated in figures 2 and 3 .
- the jacket 12 can be detached from the second part of the pocket 24 by disconnecting the second loop section 48 and the first loop section 42 from the fastener 40.
- the jacket 12 can then be removed, for example, for storage or drying.
- the storage system 14 can be held at the user's waist, independently of the jacket.
- FIG. 8 illustrates a garment set 10 comprising a second embodiment of a storage system 14 according to the invention.
- the fastener 40 and the pull device 30 together form a pull element 60 which is mounted to slide relative to the end portion of the second pocket portion.
- the cord 34 of the pull device 30 and the first strap 44 of the fastener 40 together form a A long element for the traction element 60.
- an opening 54 is provided in the end portion 24a of the second pocket section 24. The long element of the traction element 60, and therefore the first strap 44 and the cord 34, pass through said opening 54. The long element slides inside said opening 54.
- the traction element 60 is thus mounted to slide relative to the end portion 24a of the second pocket section 24.
- the pulling device 30 includes a locking member 56 cooperating with the cord 34 and therefore with the long element of the pulling element 60.
- the locking member 56 and the handle 32 of the pulling device 30 extend on either side of the orifice 54.
- the pull device 30 is slidably mounted on the end portion 24a of the second pocket section 24 without being fixed to it.
- the fastener 40 is slidably mounted on the end portion 24a of the second pocket section 24 without being fixed to it.
- the fastener 40 includes a locking piece 58 cooperating with the first strap 44 and thus with the longitudinal element of the traction element 60.
- the locking member 56 and the locking piece 58 are fixed to the longitudinal element and thus to the traction element 60.
- the locking piece 58 and the locking member 56 extend on either side of the orifice 54.
- the pulling element 60 slides relative to the end portion of the second pocket section. More specifically, the elongated element of the pulling element 60 slides in the opening 54 until the locking member 56 comes to rest against the end portion 24a of the second pocket section, at the level of the opening 54. By continuing to pull, the locking member 56 pulls on the end portion 24a of the second pocket section 24 , and the latter is folded back on itself and brought from the retracted position to the deployed position.
- the user When the user wants to stow the garment, they pull on it, which in turn pulls on the long element of the traction element 60.
- the traction element then slides relative to the second pocket section. More precisely, the long element of the traction element 60 slides in the opening 54 until the locking piece 58 rests against the end portion 24a of the second pocket section, at the opening 54.
- the locking piece 58 pulls on the end portion of the second pocket section 24 , which is folded back on itself and brought inside the first pocket section 22. The second pocket section 24 is thus brought from the deployed position to the retracted position.
- connection means 33 is mounted on a front portion 16a of the belt 16, this front portion extending in front of the user.
- the pouch 20 is not wrapped around the user's waist to form a loop. Instead, after being placed in the deployed position, the second pouch section 24 is folded over the first pouch section 22 before connecting the handle 32 via the connection 33. The second pouch section 24 then covers the first pouch section 22. The second pouch section then extends essentially across the user's back.
