Definitions
- the present invention relates to a sanitary component with a coating and a method for coating a sanitary component.
- the sanitary component can in particular be a component for a sanitary fitting, by means of which a liquid can be delivered to a washbasin, a shower, a bathtub and/or a toilet.
- Sanitary fittings regularly have sanitary components in the form of operating elements, such as operating levers, operating switches and/or operating buttons, which are contacted by a user when they are used.
- operating elements such as operating levers, operating switches and/or operating buttons
- Bacteria and/or viruses that can cause illnesses can collect on the operating elements.
- the operating elements In order to prevent the bacteria and/or viruses from being transmitted to different users, the operating elements often have to be disinfected in a complex manner. This is particularly the case when the plumbing fixtures are installed in hospitals or senior living facilities.
- the object of the invention is therefore to at least partially solve the problems described with reference to the prior art and, in particular, to specify a sanitary component through which the cost of disinfection can be at least partially reduced.
- a method for coating a sanitary component should also be specified, through which the effort required to disinfect the sanitary component can at least be reduced.
- a sanitary component that has a coating with an outer layer contributes to this, the outer layer consisting at least partially of copper or a copper alloy.
- the sanitary component is in particular a sanitary component for a sanitary fitting.
- a sanitary fitting serves in particular to provide a liquid, in particular water, as required at a washbasin, kitchen sink, shower, bathtub and/or toilet.
- such sanitary fittings can be used for mixing cold water and hot water to form mixed water with a desired mixed water temperature and/or for dosing the mixed water.
- the mixed water can be routed from a mixing valve, for example via at least one liquid channel in a housing of the sanitary fitting, to an outlet opening of the housing.
- the sanitary component can be used, for example, to set the mixed water temperature and/or to set a delivery volume of the water or mixed water.

Description
- 45 % bis 90 % Kupfer;
Fig. 1: eine Sanitärkomponente in einer Schnittdarstellung.
