Description

DESCRIPTION DESCRIPTION
TITRE : Conteneur pliable notamment pour le transport de fruits et légumes TITLE: Collapsible container especially for the transport of fruits and vegetables
Domaine technique de l’invention Technical field of the invention
The invention relates to a collapsible container for the transport of products and more particularly for the transport of fruit and vegetables, especially in plastic material, consisting of a container bottom and four side walls hinged thereto.
Arrière-plan technologique de l’invention Technological background of the invention
Containers of this type are well known, the side walls of which are connected to the bottom of the container either by articulated and spaced hinges, arranged on the circumference of the bottom, or by hinges in molded film in one piece in the form of a fold line. The side walls can thus be folded inwards on the bottom after use of the container, which reduces the space required for the return transport and storage of empty containers. Hinges in the form of folding lines have the advantage of being easy to clean and easy to manufacture.
De tels conteneurs sont décrits notamment dans les demandes de brevet WO 96/11144, EP1060999, EP1480887, EP2419344, EP2477902 et EP2548809. Such containers are described in particular in patent applications WO 96/11144, EP1060999, EP1480887, EP2419344, EP2477902 and EP2548809.

The container further comprises a mechanism for locking the side walls of said collapsible plastic container. Each side wall, which folds inward first, has a hook extension at each of its top corners. The hook extension comprises a capture web which points in the direction of the adjacent side wall and which is capable of cooperating with a lock provided with a release handle at each of the ends of the side panel.
Document EP1060999 describes a container, in particular for transporting fruit and vegetables, comprising a bottom and four side walls which can be folded down on the bottom. The side walls are connected to the bottom by hinges which are designed as plug-in connection elements, so that the side walls can be plugged with their hinges arranged on their lower edge into the corresponding openings of the bottom of the container and locked therein. ci by locking elements.
The document EP1480887 describes a container, in particular reusable, comprising collapsible side walls and a bottom on which said side walls are hinged. Said container comprises snap closure means comprising a pressure lever which can be pressed inwards and which interacts with a positioning pin which is configured on the adjacent side wall, arranged diagonally therethrough.
The document EP2419344 describes a collapsible box with a bottom and each time two folding outer walls with respect to the bottom of the longitudinal side and the transverse side, opposite in pairs, each of the outer walls of the longitudinal side having, at at least one end of the transverse side , a protrusion extending, in the folded state upwards, in the direction of the side walls of the transverse side which limits the outward folding ability of the outer walls of the transverse side. Each of the transverse side outer walls has a spring pre-tensioned locking mechanism disposed on the outer side of the transverse side outer wall which, in the folded-up state, has a latching element movable in the direction vertical to the bottom surface. EP2477902 discloses a flexibly usable crate comprising a bottom and four pairwise opposing side walls which extend in a vertical direction from the bottom upwards. One of the four side walls is configured as an opening wall which completely covers a side surface region when closed and is movable when open, the opening wall covering only part of the side surface region , so that the opening wall covers at least in part, when it is open, one of the adjacent side walls or the bottom of the body.
Document EP2548809 is also known, which describes a collapsible container comprising a base, a first pair of opposed walls and a second pair of opposed walls, the first pair of opposed walls and the second pair of opposed walls defining an opening in the top of the container , wherein the container further comprises at least one stacking member which, when the container is erected, is movable between a stacking position in which the stacking member is positioned to support the base of another container thereon and a filling position in which the stacking element is substantially withdrawn from the opening in the top of the container, and in which the container further comprises at least one locking element (20) for securing the at least one stacking element to the container.
All these collapsible containers for transporting fruit or vegetables or the like have the drawback of being heavy, each side, longitudinal and bottom wall being made of injected plastic, and of being expensive to produce. Furthermore, these containers also have the disadvantage of providing too much space when they are stacked in the folded position.
Divulgation de l’invention Disclosure of Invention
One of the aims of the invention is therefore to remedy these drawbacks by proposing a collapsible container comprising a bottom wall, two opposite side walls hinged to the bottom wall, two opposite longitudinal walls hinged to said bottom wall, said lateral and longitudinal walls defining an opening in the upper part of the container and being hinged towards the bottom wall, characterized in that it consists of a blank in a rigid sheet material comprising a central flap of substantially rectangular shape, two side flaps forming the side walls of the container, said side flaps being connected to the central flap by a first fold line respectively, and said side flaps comprising respectively two side flaps extending on either side of each side flap and being connected to said side flap by a second fold line respectively, two longitudinal flaps forming the longitudinal walls, said longitudinal flaps being connected to the central flap by a third fold line respectively and comprising fixing means capable of cooperating with complementary fixing means secured to the side flaps.
According to one characteristic of the invention, the rigid sheet is made of plastic.
According to one characteristic of the invention, the rigid sheet is a substantially planar molding.
Thus, the container is easy to manufacture because it is formed by a single cutout, that is to say in a single substantially flat piece.
The fold lines are formed by a film molded in one piece with the cutout. Thus, the fold lines are formed in the same material as the cutout. Bend lines can be bent 90° or 180°.
When the container is in the position of use, the side flaps come into contact with the longitudinal flaps. The side flaps then extend in the plane in which the longitudinal flaps extend. The side flaps are therefore in a plane perpendicular to the plane in which the side flaps extend. The side flaps keep the container in position for use.
In the folded position, the longitudinal flaps are folded towards the bottom wall so that the longitudinal flaps extend in the same plane as the bottom wall.
In the folded position, the container has a low total height, between four and ten thicknesses of the blank, preferably six. Indeed, the total height is formed by at least the thickness of the central flap, the side flap, the side flap, and the longitudinal flap.
According to one characteristic of the invention, each side flap has at its distal end a side tab connected to the side flap by a fourth fold line. The fourth fold line forms an axis of rotation between the side flap and the side tab. There is therefore a degree of freedom between the side flap and the side tab. In this way, it is possible to fold the side flap over the side tab in the folded position.
According to a feature of the invention, the fourth fold line forms an angle of 45° with the second and third fold lines.
Thus, placing the container in the folded position is facilitated.
According to one characteristic of the invention, the complementary fastening means are secured to the side tongues of the side flaps.
Thus, a passage between a folded position and a position of use is facilitated. Indeed, the side tongue is fixed to the longitudinal flap and remains fixed to the longitudinal flap when placed in the folded position.
When opening the container, that is to say when passing from a folded position to a use position, a user pulls on each side flap which causes the side flap then the side tab and finally the flap longitudinal by the play of the different folding lines.
According to a characteristic of the invention, the complementary fastening means extend from an inner face of the side flaps.
The inner face of the flaps, flaps or tabs of the container are the faces coming into contact with the central flap in the folded position.
The outer face of the flaps, flaps or tabs of the container are the faces opposite the faces coming into contact with the central flap in the folded position.
Thus the side flaps are fixed on an outer face, that is to say the face opposite to the face coming into contact with the central flap in the folded position, of the side flaps. The side flap comes into contact with the central flap in the folded position.
According to one characteristic of the invention, the complementary fastening means extend from an outer face of the side flaps.
Thus the side flaps are fixed on an inner face, that is to say the face coming into contact with the central flap in the folded position, of the side flaps. The side flap is spaced from the central flap by the side flap, in the folded position. According to one characteristic of the invention, the means for fixing the longitudinal flaps consist of oblong openings and in that the complementary means for fixing the side flaps consist of two diametrically opposed lugs extending from one of the faces of said flaps side and whose ends are provided with hooks extending outwards, said hooks being able to cooperate by plastic deformation with the inner edge of the oblong slots.
Thus the legs are clipped into the oblong slots.
According to one characteristic of the invention, the means for fixing the longitudinal flaps consist of openings provided with a central element and in that the complementary means for fixing the side flaps consist of two opposite lugs extending from one of the faces of said side flaps. Thus the lugs are clipped on either side of the central element of the light.
According to one characteristic of the invention, the longitudinal flaps have the shape of an isosceles trapezium, the sides of which form an angle of 45° with the third folding lines.
Thus the side flap completes, in the position of use, the longitudinal flap so as to form a complete longitudinal wall between the two side walls. The fourth fold line comes into contact with the sides of the longitudinal flap forming an angle of 45° and only the lateral tongue comes in extra thickness on the longitudinal flap so as to stiffen the container in the position of use.
According to a characteristic of the invention, the isosceles trapezium has sides which form an angle of 45° with the third folding lines.
According to a characteristic of the invention, the side flaps respectively comprise at least a first recess along its proximal edge with the central flap.
Thus, the recess forms on the one hand a gripping handle and on the other hand frees up space for a stacking block.
Thus it is easy to manually move the container.
According to one characteristic of the invention, the side flaps respectively comprise a second recess along its distal edge, said second recess forming a clearance zone.
Thus, it is possible to limit the use of material during the manufacture of the container and to allow objects positioned in the container to partly come out of it through the second recess.
According to one characteristic of the invention, the central flap comprises a stacking stud extending from the inner face of the central flap and provided with a recess from the outer face of the central flap, said recess of the stud being adapted to receive the upper end of a stacking stud for a second container stacked under the first container.
Ainsi, l’empilement des conteneurs est facilité. Thus, the stacking of containers is facilitated.
According to a characteristic of the invention, the central pane comprises slots, extending to the right of the slots of the longitudinal panes when the latter are folded over the central pane.
Thus, the openings of the central flap allow the passage of the tabs and the hooks of the side flaps or the lugs when the longitudinal and lateral flaps are folded over the central flap.
According to a characteristic of the invention, the distal edges of the side flaps comprise hooks extending from the inner face of said side flaps and capable of cooperating with slots made in the central flap. Thus, it is possible to ensure the fixing of the side flaps on the central flap when the container is in the folded position.
According to one characteristic of the invention, the longitudinal flaps and/or the side flaps comprise ribs.
Thus it is possible to stiffen the longitudinal and/or lateral walls respectively.
According to one characteristic of the invention, at least one side flap comprises at least one hook able to hold the side flap against the central flap and able to hold a second container positioned on said container.
The hook has two distinct functions, on the one hand it keeps the side flap against the central flap in the folded position, and on the other hand, it keeps a second container positioned on said first container in the position of use.
According to one characteristic of the invention, a distal edge of at least one side flap comprises at least one fastener capable of cooperating with a loop positioned on a distal edge of at least one longitudinal wall.
In this way, in the position of use, the side flap is perfectly held against the longitudinal wall.
According to one characteristic of the invention, the loop comprises a recess in its center.
Thus, the loop has characteristics of flexibility and rigidity allowing a deformation of the latter adapted to facilitate cooperation with the fastener.
According to one characteristic of the invention, the attachment has a T shape. Seen in section, the fastener has a T shape. Thus, a first part of the T is intended to cooperate with the loop while a second part of the T makes it possible to maintain a second container positioned on said first container in the position of use.

Said container consists of a cutout 5 obtained in a rigid plastic sheet material comprising a so-called central flap 6 of substantially rectangular shape, forming the bottom wall 1, two side flaps 7 forming the side walls 2 of the container, said side flaps 7 being connected to the central flap 6 by a first folding line 8 respectively, and said flaps 7 respectively comprising two side flaps 9 extending on either side of each side flap 7 and being connected to said side flap 7 by a second fold line 10 respectively, two longitudinal flaps 11 forming the longitudinal walls 3, said flaps longitudinal 11 being connected to the central flap 6 by a third fold line 12 respectively and comprising fixing means 13 capable of cooperating with complementary fixing means 14 integral with the side flaps 9. It will be observed that the cutout 5 can be obtained in any rigid plastic or composite material well known to those skilled in the art.
Each side flap 9 has at its distal end a side tab 15 connected to the side flap 9 by a fourth fold line 16 forming an angle of 45° with the second 10 and third 12 fold lines. Furthermore, the complementary fixing means 14 are secured to the side tabs 15 of the side flaps 9. With reference to Figures 1, 2 and 7, said complementary fixing means 14 of the side flaps 9 consist of two diametrically opposed tabs 17 extending from one of the faces of said side flaps 9, in this case the so-called inner face of the side flaps 9, and whose ends are provided with hooks 18 extending outwards, said hooks 18 being capable of cooperating by deformation plastic with the inner edge of the fastening means 13 of the longitudinal flaps 11 which consist of oblong slots 19.
It is obvious that the oblong slots 19 could be substituted by circular slots without departing from the scope of the invention.
Furthermore, in this particular embodiment, the major axis of the oblong slots 19 forms an angle with the third fold lines 12 of between 30 and 40°. In addition, the longitudinal flaps 11 have the shape of an isosceles trapezium whose sides form an angle of 45° with the third folding lines 12.
Advantageously, the side flaps 7 respectively comprise a first recess 20 along its proximal edge with the central flap 6, said first recesses 20 forming a grip handle. Each pane side 7 also includes a second recess 21 along its distal edge, said second recesses 21 forming a clearance zone.
In addition, the central flap 6 comprises along the first folding lines 8, in the middle part, respectively a so-called stacking stud 22 in the general shape of a prism and extending from the inner face of the central flap 6 and provided with a recess 23 from the outer face of the central flap 6, said recess 23 of the stacking block 22 being capable of receiving the upper end of a stacking block 22 of a second container stacked under the first container as can be seen in Figure 10.
Advantageously, in order to limit the height of the container in the folded position, the central flap 6 comprises second oblong slots 24, extending to the right of the oblong slots 19 of the longitudinal flaps 11 when the latter are folded on the central flap 6, and of dimensions greater than the dimensions of the oblong slots 19 of the longitudinal flaps 11 in order to allow the passage of the tabs 17 and the hooks 18 of the side flaps 7 when the longitudinal flaps 11 and side flaps 7 are folded over the central flap 6.
Furthermore, in order to maintain the side flaps 7 and the longitudinal flaps 11 against the central flap 6 in the folded position, the distal edges of the side flaps 7 comprise hooks 25 extending from the inner face of said side flaps 7 and capable of cooperating with rectangular openings made in the central flap 6 to ensure the fixing of the side flaps 7 on the central flap 6 when the container is in the folded position.
Incidentally, the longitudinal flaps 11 and the side flaps 7 comprise ribs 27 in order to stiffen the longitudinal 11 and lateral walls 7 respectively, said ribs 27 forming stiffeners.
We will now explain the operation, and more particularly the assembly, of the following container with reference to Figures 2 to 10.
With reference to Figures 1 and 2, the lugs 17 and the hooks 18 of the complementary fixing means 14 of the side flaps 9 of the side flaps 7 are introduced into the oblong slots 19 of the fastening means 13 of the longitudinal flaps 11 until the hooks 18 cooperate with the inner edge, by elastic deformation, of the oblong slots 19 (FIG. 7). The side flaps 7 are then hinged to the longitudinal flaps 11 around the folding lines 16 thus forming an accordion bellows and allowing deployment from a folded position to an unfolded position (FIGS. 1 and 6).
The unfolded containers can then easily be stacked as can be seen in Figure 8, and the folded containers, the containers being held in the folded position thanks to the hooks 25 of the side flaps cooperating with the rectangular openings made in the central flap 6, can also be stacked as can be seen in Figure 10, the recesses 23 of the stacking studs 22 receiving the upper end of a stacking stud 22 of a second container stacked on the first container.
According to a variant embodiment of the container according to the invention, with reference to FIGS. 11 to 14, the container according to the invention comprises, in the same way as above, a bottom wall 1, two opposite side walls 2 hinged to the wall bottom 1, two opposite longitudinal walls 3 hinged to said bottom wall 1, said side walls 2 and longitudinal walls 3 defining an opening 4 in the upper part of the container and being hinged towards the bottom wall 1 . Said container consists of a cutout 5 obtained in a rigid plastic sheet material comprising a so-called central flap 6 of substantially rectangular shape, forming the bottom wall 1, two side flaps 7 forming the side walls 2 of the container, said side flaps 7 being connected to the central flap 6 by a first fold line 8 respectively, and said side flaps 7 respectively comprising two side flaps 9 extending on either side of each side flap 7 and being connected to said side flap 7 by a second fold line 10 respectively, two longitudinal flaps 11 forming the longitudinal walls 3, said longitudinal flaps 11 being connected to the central flap 6 by a third fold line 12 respectively and comprising fixing means 13 capable of cooperating with fixing means complementary 14 attached to the side flaps 7. Each side flap 9 has at its distal end a side tab 15 connected to the side flap 9 by a fourth fold line 16 forming an angle of 45° with the second 10 and third 12 fold lines. Furthermore, the complementary fastening means 14 are secured to the side tabs 15 of the side flaps. Said complementary fixing means 14 of the side flaps 9 consist of two diametrically opposite tabs 17 extending from one of the faces of said side flaps 9 and whose ends are provided with hooks 18 extending outwards, said hooks 18 being able to cooperate by plastic deformation with the inner edge of the fixing means 13 of the longitudinal flaps 11 which consist of slots 19.
This alternative embodiment differs from that previously described in that the tabs 17 extend from the outer face of the side flaps 9, and not from the inner face of the side flaps 9, and that the slots 19 have a circular shape. and not oblong.
According to this construction, the longitudinal flaps 11 are folded towards the bottom wall 1 towards the outside of the container so that, in the folded position, the longitudinal flaps extend in the same plane as the bottom wall on each side of the latter. and not above the bottom wall as in the previous variant.
This alternative embodiment differs from that previously described in that the fixing means 13' are capable of cooperating with complementary fixing means 14'. Said complementary fastening means 14' of the side flaps 9 consist of two opposite lugs extending from the inner face of the side flaps 9. The lugs are capable of cooperating by plastic deformation with the fixing means 13' of the longitudinal flaps 11 which consist of substantially rectangular slots provided with a central element. The lugs are introduced on either side of the central element of the fixing means 13'.
The hooks 25 also make it possible to maintain a second container positioned on said first container in the position of use as can be seen in FIG. 20. In this case, the hook 25 cooperates with the side wall 2 of the second container thanks to a recess made between the bottom wall 1 and the side wall 2 of the second container.
A distal edge of a side flap 9 also comprises a fastener 100 having a T shape which allows on the one hand to cooperate with a loop 101 positioned on a distal edge of a longitudinal wall 3 so as to hold the side flap 9 against the longitudinal wall 3 in the use position, and secondly to maintain a second container positioned on said first container in the use position as can be seen in Figure 20. In this case, the fastener 100 cooperates with the longitudinal wall 3 of the second container through a recess formed between the bottom wall 1 and the longitudinal wall 3 of the second container.
Finally, it is quite obvious that the examples which have just been given are only particular illustrations in no way limiting as to the fields of application of the invention.
