Definitions
- the present invention relates to a consumable product packaging provided with a substantially flat wall and provided with an orifice. It relates more particularly to a device for opening and closing such a package.
- This package is for example a bobbin, which denotes a substantially cylindrical container, usually double-reduction steel or aluminum; intended to contain a consumable product such as a liquid drink.
- a bobbin denotes a substantially cylindrical container, usually double-reduction steel or aluminum; intended to contain a consumable product such as a liquid drink.
- the terms “inner” and “outer” respectively refer to parts of a part directed towards or located inside the package, and directed towards or located outside the package.
- An example of packaging for the prior art and the invention is a bobbin.
- An example of a consumable product is a liquid drink.
- the lower end of the bobbin is closed, and its upper face is a cup whose flat portion comprises a cap, and a tab which is attached to the cup by a point of attachment located near the lid.
- This tongue by a lever movement relative to this point of attachment, presses on the lid so as to tear a pre-cut portion of the periphery of the lid.
- the lid by tearing, thus creates an orifice through which the liquid contained in the can can flow outside, for example to be consumed.
- the lid is thus folded inside the bobbin, held attached to the cup by the not torn part of its periphery.
- Such a can has the disadvantage that it can not be closed once opened. Liquid can escape from the bobbin if it is spilled. Foreign objects (insects, dusts) can also contaminate the liquid by penetrating through the hole of the cup. In addition, if the liquid is gaseous, there is no more gas present in the drink after a few hours. These disadvantages in particular require the user to consume the entire contents of the can in a short time after opening.
- Document D1 describes a package according to the preamble of claim 1.
- the invention aims to provide a package equipped with an opening and closing device that allows to open and close at will this package, which is perfectly sealed, and is easily maneuverable by the user.
- the consumable packaging which is provided with a substantially flat wall and provided with an orifice, is equipped with an opening and closing device comprising a body of a single holding, of molded material, fixed on said wall, said body comprising a plate provided with a hole placed opposite said orifice and fixed on the edge of said wall orifice in a sealed manner, and a hatch articulated to this opening plate towards the inside of the package and able to close this hole in a sealed manner, the device further comprising an arm connected to said trapdoor, said arm cooperating with locking means in a position such that it keeps said trap in position shut-off valve, and releasing said flap inwardly pivoting said package when disengaged from said blocking means, the package further comprising a cap (80) separate from said body (2) and said arm (50) , and who is equipped with a safety cap (100, 104) to be broken when the hatch (40) is first opened, so that if said safety cap is intact, it is ensured that the package has never been opened before,
- the package can be opened, closed and opened again as many times as desired.
- the fact that the arm is kept locked in the closed position by locking means further allows to lock the door sealingly.
- the plate is fixed on the edge of the orifice of the wall by snapping.
- the plate bears essentially on the inner face of the wall.
- any package provided with a substantially flat wall and provided with an orifice may be the subject of the present invention.
- the Figures 1 to 4 show the device 1 for opening and closing according to the invention mounted on a cup 10 of a can (not shown).
- the cup 10 is substantially circular, with a flat wall 15 surrounded by a peripheral rim 12.
- the peripheral rim 12 of the cup is for example identical to the rim of a standard bobbin cup, so that the cup 10, once equipped with the device 1, can be mounted during manufacture on any bobbin.
- the flat wall 15 of the cup 10 has an orifice 13 delimited by an inner edge 19.
- the orifice 13 has an oblong shape and extends radially from the center of the cup to near the rim 12.
- the figure 1 and the figure 2 show the device 1 in the partially open position.
- the device 1 comprises a body 2, which comprises a plate 20 which has in its center a hole 30 delimited by an edge 25 of the plate 20.
- the body 2 is also shown in FIG. figures 7 and 8 .
- the body 2 also comprises a hatch 40, the body 2 being in one piece, that is to say that the hatch 40 forms a continuous assembly with the plate 20.
- the body 2 is manufactured by molding in one piece. only block, which is a faster industrial solution and less expensive than if the hatch 40 was manufactured separately from the plate 20.
- the body 2 is for example made of polymer.
- the hatch 40 is hinged to the plate 20 by a flexible web 41 molded, located on the circumference of the plate 20.
- the sail 41 thus forms a hinge.
- the hatch 40 comprises a base 42 of periphery 47, at the center of which is mounted a cylindrical wall 45.
- the figure 4 shows the hatch 40 in the closed position.
- the veil 41 is then completely folded.
- the radially outer face of the cylindrical wall 45 conforms to the radially inner face of the edge 25 of the plate 20, so that the cylindrical wall 45 engages substantially without play in the hole 30.
- a seal is formed which contributes to prevent the liquid in the bobbin from flowing out.
- the figure 5 is an enlargement of part of the figure 4 , which details the interlocking of the hatch 40 and the plate 20.
- the periphery 47 of the hatch 40 bears against the lower face 27 (directed towards the inside of the bobbin) of the plate 20 which around the hole 30.
- the periphery 47 actually bears on a first seal 91 housed in a first groove 291 of the lower face 27.
- the contact zone between the periphery 47 and the seal 91 completely surrounds the hole 30.
- the content of the can is a gaseous liquid
- the gas tends to press the hatch 40 against the plate 20.
- the pressure exerted by the periphery 47 on the first seal 91 then increases, which tends to improve the seal between the hatch 40 and the plate 20.
- the first seal 91 covers the first groove 291 and the edge 25 of the plate 20 which surrounds the hole 30.
- the first seal 91 is extended on the radially inner face of the edge 25 of so as to cover, on a portion of its height, all the periphery of this radially internal face.
- the first seal 91 fills the bottom and the sides of the first groove 291 by not completely filling the central region of this first groove 291, so that the upper face of the first seal 91 has an annular depression 915 around its entire circumference.
- This annular depression 915 is bordered radially externally by an outer wall 916 of the first seal 91 whose apex is substantially flush with the lower face 27, and radially internally by an inner wall 914 which is formed by the part of the first seal 91 which covers the edge 25 of the plate 20.
- this annular depression 915 forms a groove in which is housed the periphery 47 of the hatch 40, which allows a better seal between the hatch 40 and the plate 20.
- the annular region of the hatch 40 located between the cylindrical wall 45 and the periphery 47, and which faces the edge 25 of the plate 20 when the hatch 40 is closed, is formed so that it marries a part of the first gasket 91 which covers the edge 25 of the plate 20.
- the part of the first gasket 91 which covers the edge 25 is pinched between the cylindrical wall 45 and the periphery 47 when the cylindrical wall 45 engages in the hole 30, which strengthens the seal between the hatch 40 and the plate 20.
- the hatch 40 is then in contact with the first seal 91 over a large area, the hatch 40 is deformed less torsion under the effect of the pressure of the gas contained in the can.
- the plate 20 comprises, on its upper face 26, first lugs 29, which are located around the hole 30 and which extend perpendicularly to the upper face 26.
- the first lugs 29 lie along a path of identical shape at the orifice 13 and slightly smaller dimension, so that when the plate 20 is positioned on the flat wall 15 of the cup 10, the first tabs 29 fit into the orifice 13.
- Each of the first legs 29 has, on its radially outermost face, a bead 295 which extends circumferentially along these first legs 29.
- the positioning of the first legs 29 and the thickness (in the radial direction) of the beads 295 is such that when these first lugs 29 are pressed into the orifice 13, the first lugs 29 deform radially towards the center of the orifice 13 when the internal edge 19 of the flat wall 15 pushes the beads 295.
- the plate 20 is fixed on the cup 10 by snap-fitting by means of the first legs 29.
- the first lugs 29 are distributed over the plate 20 over the entire circumference of the orifice 13, so that this latching is distributed substantially uniformly over the entire circumference.
- the distance between the upper face 26 (opposite to the lower face 27) of the plate 20 and the beads 295 is equal to the thickness of the plane wall 15, so that after this snapping, the upper face 26 is maintained resting on the inner face 17 of the flat wall 15 by the beads 295.
- the upper face 26 has, over its entire circumference, a second groove 292, which surrounds the first legs 29.
- a second seal 92 is housed in the second groove 292 of the upper face 26 and a portion 925 of this second seal 92 protrudes outside the second groove, so that the portion 925 comes into contact with the inner face 17 when the plate 20 is fixed on the cup 10.
- the contact zone between the inner face 17 and the seal 92 which abuts against this face, completely surrounds the orifice 13.
- it is formed between the wall 15 and the plate 20 a seal that helps prevent the liquid in the bobbin from flowing out.
- the contents of the can is a gaseous liquid, the gas tends to press the plate 20 against the inner face 17 of the flat wall 15.
- the pressure exerted by the inner face 17 on the second seal 92 then increases, which tends to improve the seal between the plate 20 and the flat wall 15.
- the part 925 of the second seal 92 is for example two circumferential protuberances which extend on the (upper) face of the second seal 92 which is opposite the inner face 17, as visible on the figures 5 and 6 . These protrusions crush against the inner face 17 when the plate 20 is fixed on the cup 10, thus sealing.
- the second seal 92 may be a ring whose cross section has substantially the shape of a V.
- the ends of the two branches of the V form each a lip (first lip 921 and second lip 922), these two lips constituting the part 925 of the second seal 92 which protrudes from the groove 292.
- the second seal 92 is also visible on the figure 13 .
- the groove 292, without the second seal 92, is visible on the figure 11 .
- An annular seal as described above having a V-shaped cross-section with two lips able to act as a suction cup when said annular seal is pressed against a flat surface, can also be used to seal a sealing system. reclosing different from the system object of the present invention, even not including a cap as described below.
- the assembly consisting of the body 2, the first seal 91, and the second seal 92 may be manufactured by bi-injection of a rigid polymer constituting the body 2 and a softer elastomer constituting these seals 91 and 92 .
- the device 1 also comprises an arm 50, visible on the Figures 1, 2 , 3, 4 , 9, and 10 .
- the arm 50 comprises a bar 54 which terminates at one end by a handle 56 and has at the other end a circular rod 53.
- the hatch 40 comprises a clamp 43 which extends perpendicularly from the base 42 of the hatch 40 and is surrounded by the cylindrical wall 45.
- the rod 53 snaps into the clamp 43 so as to form a pivot joint along an axis parallel to the axis of pivoting of the hinge formed by the web 41.
- the width of the bar 54 the arm 50 (dimension in the direction of this axis) is smaller than the width of the hole 30 of the plate 20, so that the bar 54 can pass freely through the hole 30.
- the width of the handle 56 is greater than the width of the hole 30.
- the arm 50 is for example made of polymer, by molding, which minimizes the cost of production per unit.
- the device 1 also comprises a cap 80, which is distinct from the body 2 and the arm 50.
- the cap 80 has a curved shell shape, with a concave face 85 and a convex face 86.
- the cap 80 is bordered by a rim 87 and has tabs 88 extending from the concave face 85 substantially perpendicular to it.
- the cover 80 is positioned on the outer face 16 of the flat wall 15 of the cup 10 and assembles on the plate 20 by means of the tabs 88 which snap onto second tabs 28 of the plate 20, which extend from the upper face 26 of the plate 20 through the orifice 13.
- the claws 88 snap on the second tabs 28 is made at the ends of these tabs, which have a tooth shape ( figure 6 ).
- the tabs 88 are therefore a means of securing the cover 80 on the plate 20.
- the first tabs 29 and the second tabs 28 are distributed alternately on the plate 20 all around the hole 30, this distribution of the second tabs 28 ensuring that the latching between the cover 80 and the plate 20 is distributed substantially uniformly over the entire around the hole 30.
- the tabs 88 are of lower height than that of the flange 87 so that when the tabs 88 and the second tabs 28 are snapped, the flange 87 presses on the upper face 16 of the cup 10, which locks and stabilizes the assembly between the cover 80 and the body 20.
- a region (around the orifice 13) of the flat wall 15 of the cup 10 is sandwiched between the cover 80 and the plate 20.
- the cover 80 has the shape of a U.
- the center of the cover 80 is a U-shaped hole, open on one side.
- This hole is delimited by a central sleeve 81 which extends from the convex face 86, beyond the concave face 85, substantially perpendicular to it.
- the width of this central sleeve 81 is substantially equal to that of the hole 30 of the plate 20, and when the cover 80 and the plate 20 are assembled, the central sleeve 81 is substantially in alignment with the edge 25 of the hole 30, with the exception of the side on which the central sleeve 81 is open. This side is the one below which the web 41 is located.
- the arm 50 folds over a part of the hatch 40 and the sail 41, a portion of the flat wall 15 of the cup 10 is then between the arm 50 and the hatch 40.
- the arm 50 is able to fold until the upper face of the arm 50 is in alignment with the convex face 86 of the hood 80 and fills the space at the center of the hood 80 (as shown in FIG. figure 4 ) except the top of the U. No part of the device 1 therefore exceeds above the rim 12 of the cup 10, which provides minimal additional space compared to a can of the prior art.
- the cover 80 is for example made of polymer, by molding, which minimizes the cost of production per unit.
- the latching wall 129 comprises, on its radially outermost face, a first bead 295 which extends circumferentially all along this latching wall 129.
- the positioning of the latching wall 129 and the thickness (in radial direction) of the first beads 295 is such that when the latching wall 129 is pushed into the orifice 13, the latching wall 129 deform radially towards the center of the orifice 13 when the inner edge 19 of the flat wall 15 pushes the first beads 295.
- the plate 20 is fixed on the cup 10 by snapping by means of the snap wall 129.
- the fact that the snap wall 129 extends substantially all along the inner edge 19 allows a solid assembly of the plate 20 on the cup 10.
- the latching wall 129 extends beyond the first beads 295, perpendicularly to the upper face 26, by an extension which comprises a second bead 298, which extends substantially the entire length of this extension around the hole 30.
- This extension is situated slightly more towards the hole 30 than the rest (base) of the latching wall 129, so as to fit freely into the orifice 13 ( figure 13 ).
- the cover 80 has lugs 88 which extend from its concave face 85 substantially perpendicular to it.
- the ends of the tabs 88 have, on their radially inner face, a rib 888 which snaps into engagement with the second bead 298 when the cover 80 is fixed on the plate 20, so as to secure the cover 80 on the plate 20 ( Figures 13 and 14 ).
- the legs 88 are widened in the direction of each other until they almost meet, which allows a more rigid attachment of the cover to the plate 20.
- the hood 80 is provided with a tongue 100, visible on the Figures 3 and 4 which represent the device 1 before its first opening.
- the tongue 100 is substantially in the extension of the convex face 86 of the cover 80 and covers the bar 54 of the arm 50, leaving free the handle 56.
- the tongue 100 covers, partially or completely, the central sleeve 81 (that is, that is, the U-shaped central region of hood 80).
- the tongue 100 is connected to the cover 80 by a fastening system.
- This attachment system is intended to be irreversibly broken at the first opening of the device 1.
- the attachment system consists of four links 104 distributed around the perimeter of the tongue 100, each establishing a bridge between the edge of the tongue 100 and the central sleeve 81 which this edge is separated by a thin space.
- the tongue 100 and the four links 104 are for example made of polymer, by molding in one piece with the cover 80, which minimizes the cost of production per unit.
- the tongue 100, the links 104 connecting the tongue and the cover 80, and the attachment system therefore constitute a safety seal which, if it is intact, ensures that the bobbin has never been opened before.
- the safety cap is part of the locking means of the arm 50 in the closed position.
- the arm 50 is lifted by means of the handle 56, thereby breaking the links 104, and removing the tongue 100, which has become unnecessary.
- the bar 54 of the arm 50 comprises two lugs 52 (visible on the figure 9 ) which extend laterally from this bar 54. These lugs 52 are intended to be housed in grooves 82 of the body 80 which extend from the convex face 86 along the central sleeve 81, perpendicularly to this face. When the lugs 52 are housed in the grooves 82, the handle 56 of the arm 50 bears against the convex face 86, and the hatch 40 is thus locked in the open position.
- the grooves 82 and the lugs 52 therefore constitute means for locking the arm 50 in the open position. Other means for locking the arm 50 in the open position can be envisaged.
- the width (dimension in the direction of the pivot axis of the hinge formed by the web 41) of the handle 56 of the arm 50 is wider than the width of the central sleeve 81, which prevents the arm 50 from falling into the inside the bobbin, and allows a subsequent easy closure of the bobbin.
- the grooves 82 are located so that when the lugs 52 are housed in the grooves 82, the arm 50 is substantially perpendicular to the plate 20, which ensures maximum opening of the hatch 40 (for example the grooves 82 are located at 1/3 closest to the top of the U (hole of the central sleeve 81), the flow of liquid through the sleeve 81 is therefore optimal.
- the hole 30 has an oblong shape, substantially identical to the shape of the orifice 13 of the cup 10 and of smaller size. This shape emerges, in front of the arm 50 (the region of the top of the U-shaped central sleeve 81, the closest to the rim 12 of the cup) when the arm 50 is in the open position, a sufficient portion of the central sleeve 81 for allow the liquid contained in the can to flow at a flow rate suitable for consumption by a user.
- the central sleeve 81 has on its facing faces (the two sides of the U) two notches 812 which protrude slightly from the central sleeve 81 and extend towards one another. These notches 812 are located near the convex face 86 ( figures 2 and 3 ), so that when the arm 50 is folded as described above or before its first opening ( Figures 3 and 4 ), the bar 54, whose width is just smaller than that of the central sleeve 81, is beyond (below) the notches 812 and is snapped therewith.
- the notches 812 are for example located closer to the open side of the U (above the web 41), so that the effort required to disengage the arm 50 of the notches 812 is maximum.
- the hatch 40 and the arm 50 are thus locked in sealed sealing position (closed position) by means of the notches 812 integral with the cover 80, which constitute means for locking the arm 50 in the sealed sealing position.
- These locking means are also used before the first opening of the device 1 (see above), together with the safety cap.
- the locking means can be located only on the body 2 and the arm 50.
- a ratchet wall 129 extends circumferentially substantially around the hole 30, except for the side on which the central sleeve 81 of the hood 80 is open, to allow the passage of the bar 54 of the arm 50 when the arm 50 is folded (device in closed position).
- the sealing of the device 1 in the closed position is thus guaranteed by these means for locking the arm 50, and by the sealing means constituting the intimate contact between the cylindrical wall 45 and the internal face of the edge 25 of the plate 20, and the joints 91 and 92 (see above).
- the entire periphery 47 of the hatch 40 consists of a circumferential tongue of flexible material (for example an elastomer) which bears against the lower face 27 of the plate 20 which surrounds the hole 30.
- the rest of the trap 40 is made of a more rigid polymer.
- the first seal 91 and the first groove 291 are removed so that the flexible periphery 47 rests on a flat portion of the inner face 27 to ensure a better seal between the hatch 40 and the plate 20 ( figure 15 ).
- a bobbin can be reopened and closed tightly as often as desired, which avoids the loss of the contents of the can, and allows the consumption of this content in several times without loss of its properties between two consumptions.
- the assembly of the three elements constituting the device 1 is done by a simple succession of snaps: the plate 20 of the body 2 snaps onto the inner edge 19 of the orifice 13 of the cup 10. Then, once the hatch 40 of the body 2 folded towards the plate 20, the arm 50 snaps onto the hatch 40 by passing the bar 54 of the arm 50 through the hole 30 of the plate 20. Once the arm 50 folded against the outer face 16 of the cup 10, the cover 80 snaps onto the plate 20, the arm 50 being in the center of the U formed by the cover 80.
- the device 1 can be easily manufactured and assembled on a bobbin, and for a minimum cost.
- the device 1 can be manufactured and assembled on a flat wall of any package to form a package according to the invention.

Description
The present invention relates to a consumable product packaging provided with a substantially flat wall and provided with an orifice. It relates more particularly to a device for opening and closing such a package.
This package is for example a bobbin, which denotes a substantially cylindrical container, usually double-reduction steel or aluminum; intended to contain a consumable product such as a liquid drink. In the following description, the terms "inner" and "outer" respectively refer to parts of a part directed towards or located inside the package, and directed towards or located outside the package. An example of packaging for the prior art and the invention is a bobbin. An example of a consumable product is a liquid drink.
The lower end of the bobbin is closed, and its upper face is a cup whose flat portion comprises a cap, and a tab which is attached to the cup by a point of attachment located near the lid. This tongue, by a lever movement relative to this point of attachment, presses on the lid so as to tear a pre-cut portion of the periphery of the lid. The lid, by tearing, thus creates an orifice through which the liquid contained in the can can flow outside, for example to be consumed. The lid is thus folded inside the bobbin, held attached to the cup by the not torn part of its periphery.
Such a can has the disadvantage that it can not be closed once opened.
There are known plastic lids that come to marry the rim of the cup. However, this lid lets the liquid flow out of the bobbin in the space between the cup and this lid, which is embarrassing when you open the lid. In addition, such a cover is not sufficiently tight, since the pressure of the gas tends to separate the cover from the cup.
The invention aims to provide a package equipped with an opening and closing device that allows to open and close at will this package, which is perfectly sealed, and is easily maneuverable by the user.
This object is achieved by the fact that the consumable packaging, which is provided with a substantially flat wall and provided with an orifice, is equipped with an opening and closing device comprising a body of a single holding, of molded material, fixed on said wall, said body comprising a plate provided with a hole placed opposite said orifice and fixed on the edge of said wall orifice in a sealed manner, and a hatch articulated to this opening plate towards the inside of the package and able to close this hole in a sealed manner, the device further comprising an arm connected to said trapdoor, said arm cooperating with locking means in a position such that it keeps said trap in position shut-off valve, and releasing said flap inwardly pivoting said package when disengaged from said blocking means, the package further comprising a cap (80) separate from said body (2) and said arm (50) , and who is equipped with a safety cap (100, 104) to be broken when the hatch (40) is first opened, so that if said safety cap is intact, it is ensured that the package has never been opened before, said seal forming part of said blocking means.
With these provisions, the package can be opened, closed and opened again as many times as desired. The fact that the arm is kept locked in the closed position by locking means further allows to lock the door sealingly.
Advantageously, the plate is fixed on the edge of the orifice of the wall by snapping.
Thus, the adaptation and fixing of the device on the wall are particularly easy, and the seal is reinforced.
Advantageously, the plate bears essentially on the inner face of the wall.
Since the hatch opens towards the inside of the package, any gases present inside the package tend to further press this hatch against the inside of the plate of the body of the device when the hatch is in the closed position, which helps to seal the package, and thus prevent the escape of these gases.

In addition, the annular region of the
Fixing the

An annular seal as described above, having a V-shaped cross-section with two lips able to act as a suction cup when said annular seal is pressed against a flat surface, can also be used to seal a sealing system. reclosing different from the system object of the present invention, even not including a cap as described below.
The
The
- The
first tabs 29 of theupper face 26 of the plate 20 (see description above) are widened in the direction of each other until they meet, so as to form aratchet wall 129, as shown in FIGS.Figures 11 and 12 . Thesecond tabs 28 of theplate 20, which serve to snap with thecover 80, are removed. The latchingwall 129 extends circumferentially substantially around thehole 30, except for the side on which thecentral sleeve 81 of thehood 80 is open. When theplate 20 is positioned on theflat wall 15 of thecup 10, thewall 29 fits into theorifice 13.
The
The
Other configurations of the safety seal can be envisaged.
To open the
The width (dimension in the direction of the pivot axis of the hinge formed by the web 41) of the
The
Other locking means of the
Thus, when the
Other configurations of the sealing means may be envisaged.
It is understood that thanks to the
The
