Abstract
Description
- The present invention relates to LED chips, especially an AC twinkling LED chip.
- In the technical field of LED decoration lights, besides conventional constant shining effects of LED lights, there are twinkling LEDs are used for twinkling decorative effects. In
figure 3 the circuit theory of an IC using DC current is shown. After energizing the DC power supply oscillates and drives the LED to light up at a predetermined frequency. As the working environment of ICs is usually in DC state, to make the decoration lights with twinkling ICs to work it is necessary to conduct rectifying and filtering, however, designing capacitors and filters in the ICs involve high expenses. Therefore, it is urgent to design an AC twinkling LED chip for those skilled in the art. - The present invention is to address the foregoing deficiency and provides an AC twinkling LED chip.
- The purpose of the present invention is realized by the following technical solutions: an AC twinkling LED chip, comprises a chip substrate, a post-chip rectification negative terminal, a post-chip rectification positive terminal, a first AC input terminal, a second AC input terminal and an LED drive pin, a capacitor is parallelly connected with the post-chip rectification negative terminal and the post-chip rectification positive terminal, wherein an LED luminescent diode is connected in between the post-chip rectification positive terminal and the LED drive pin.
- An LED support is connected with the AC twinkling LED chip, wherein a first pin, a second pin, a third pin and a fourth pin are provided on the LED support, the capacitor is connected in between the second pin and the third pin, the second pin and the third pin are respectively connected with the post-chip rectification negative terminal and the post-chip rectification positive terminal, the LED drive pin and the first AC input terminal are respectively connected with the first pin and the fourth pin; an epoxy resin coating layer is provided on the AC twinkling LED chip and the LED support, wherein the first pin and the fourth pin are exposed out of the epoxy resin coating layer. During use, after parallel connection of the post-chip rectification negative terminal and the post-chip rectification positive terminal with the capacitor, filtering, the LED chip is usable in AC conditions (herein only negatively driving LED is used for explanation, positive driving has not been elaborated on).
- Advantages of the present invention over the prior art are that:
- 1. In the present invention, rectification is done in the integrated circuit, in AC conditions the chip can still work and drive the LED to glow. As designing capacitors and filters in the integrated circuit involves high expenses, by using the capacitors and the filters outside the LED chip, working at AC conditions can be fully satisfied.
- 2. With the technical solution in the present invention, the use of the twinkling LED in utility power conditions without rectification and filtering is realized, by just providing resistance or taking other measures to lower down the voltage the decoration light can be used, the requirements on the usage environment are simplified to a great extent and the decoration lights have more application areas.
