- the fastening plate 100 further comprises a set of additional attachment means 112, 112' for attaching the fastening plate 100 at the roof surface 310.
- the additional attachment means 112' may be arranged at each corner of the fastening plate 100 as shown in the Figs.
- the additional attachment means 112' may comprises through holes and possible associated fixative means.
- these fixative means may e.g., be screws, nails, adhesives or any other suitable fixative means may be used for attachment of the fastening plate 100 at the roof surface 310.
- a bitumen mat or any other sealant membrane may be arranged over the fastening plate 100 and at mounting being adhered directly to the roof surface 310 at the through holes.
- the roof surface 310 may itself be covered with a waterproof membrane but is not limited thereto.
- the bitumen membrane covering the fastening plate 100 may include holes through which one or more fastening means may protrude so as to engage with roof equipment 200 without destroying the waterproof sealing.
- the set of protruding means 110 may extend outwards from the downside 104 of the fastening plate 100.
- the distribution of the set of protruding means 110 at the downside 104 may be varied depending on application.
- the set of protruding means 110 may be uniformly arranged at the fastening plate 100 as shown in Fig. 3 and 5 .
- the set of protruding means 110 may be arranged at the circumference of the fastening plate 100 and/or at the inner section 122 of the fastening plate 100 as shown in Fig. 4 .
- the set of protruding means 110 may be arranged adjacent to the set of attachment means 106 and/or the set of fastening means 108.
- the shape and dimension of the protruding means 110 may also vary depending on the application and the properties of the roof surface 310. It is however important that the protruding means 110 are designed such that they are able to protrude into the roof surface 310 partially or fully when the fastening plate 100 is mounted at the roof surface 310 for secure attachment of the fastening plate 100 at the roof surface 310.
- the protruding means may have the shape of nails or any other similar pointed shape.
- the protruding means 110 may be formed as a surface at the downside 104 having small protruding means configured to protrude into the roof surface 310. In the latter case, the protruding means 110 may be formed around through holes formed from punching sheet metal when producing the fastening plate 100. The through holes may form the attachment means and/or fastening means as previously described.
- the downside 104 of the fastening plate 100 comprises at least one concave section C as shown in Fig. 6 and 7 .
- the concave section C will make fastening of the fastening plate 100, and hence fastening of the roof equipment 200 at the roof surface 310, even more secure since when the fastening plate 100 is mounted at the roof surface 310 the concave section C will lock and secure the fastening plate 100 against the roof surface 310 further.
- the concave section C may extend from the circumference to the inner section 122 of the fastening plate 100 as disclosed in Fig. 6 and 7 but is not limited thereto.
- the fastening plate 100 may comprise a plurality of concave sections C arranged at different parts of the downside 104 for secure and robust mounting of the fastening plate 100. It is also noted that the upside of the fastening plate 100 may have or follow the concave shape.
- the fastening plate 100 may comprise one or more reinforcing sections 130 as illustrated in the non-limiting examples disclosed in Fig. 8 to 10 .
- the general thickness of the fastening 100 plate can be reduced which means lower production cost in terms of material to be used.
- One such area is at the circumference of the fastening plate 100.
- the reinforcing section 130 may be a continuous section running around the whole circumference of the fastening plate 100 as shown in Fig. 8 but may in other examples be formed by a plurality of non-continuous sections arranged at the circumference as shown in Fig. 9 . It may be noted that the continues reinforcing section 130 in Fig. 8 is arranged outside the attachment means 112 in the plane of the fastening plate 100 but may in embodiments be arranged inside mentioned attachment means 112. In Fig. 9 , the reinforcing sections 130 are arranged at the circumference between the attachment means 112, the latter for attaching the fastening plate 100 to the roof surface 310. In examples the attachment means may be arranged at the corners of the fastening plate 100 as shown in Fig. 9 . However, the reinforcing section 130 may also enclose attachment means at other locations of the fastening plate 100.
- a reinforcing section 130 encloses a fastening means 108 as shown in Fig. 10 .
- the fastening means 108 is in this example arranged at the centre of the fastening plate 100.
- the reinforcing sections 130 may be produced in a number of different ways using conventional techniques.
- a non-limiting example is by punching a section of the fastening plate 100 when producing the fastening plate 100.
- the punching may be performed from the underside 104 of the fastening plate 100 such that the punched reinforcing section 130 will protrude upwards from the upside 102 of the fastening plate 100.
- Another example to obtain reinforcing sections 130 is to add an extra material thickness at the section of the fastening plate 100 to be reinforced. This may e.g., performed by welding an additional sheet section at the plate.
- a suitable adhesive may also be used for fastening the additional sheet section at the plate.
- the reinforcing section 130 may comprise a plurality of grooves for increased strength. The groves may be arranged parallel to or perpendicular to the slope or pitch of the roof.
- Figs. 11 to 13 illustrates further non-limiting exemplary shapes of a fastening plate 100 according to embodiments of the invention. It is realised that the fastening plate 100 may have the general shape of a rectangle, a parallelogram, a circle, etc. A plate may imply that the surface area of the upside and the downside is much larger than the surface area of the edges that form the height of the plate. It is to be noted that only the shape of the fastening plate 100 is illustrated in Figs. 11 to 13 .
- the present fastening plate 100 may be produced from a single sheet metal part punched in different shapes.
- the fastening plate 100 may be formed in a single piece of sheet metal.
- the single piece of sheet metal may have a constant thickness in embodiments.
- Fig. 14 illustrates a house 300 having a roof surface 310 of a roof with a slope S or a pitch with a certain sloping angle or pitching angle.
- the roof surface 310 may also be horizontally or vertically arranged which is not disclosed.
- the roof surface 310 may e.g., comprise of a sealant membrane covering a roof structure.
- the roof structure may include battens and beams arranged suitably between the ridge 330 and the eaves 320.
- the sealant membrane may e.g., be produced from PVC, ECB, FPO or bitumen.
- Embodiments of the invention also relates to an arrangement 400 comprising at least one fastening plate 100 according to embodiments of the invention and at least one roof equipment 200 as also shown in Fig. 14 .
- roof equipment are walkways, roof ladders, solar panels, ridge and roof rails, hatches, guardrails, snow stoppers, roof steps, etc.
