Claims (4)

  1. Arrangement for testing ETCS level-2 functionalities in rail traffic,
    - having a rail vehicle which is allowed to carry out a test run on a normal section or on a siding without cooperating with a dispatcher,
    - in which an on-board unit (OBU) is provided in the rail vehicle (SZF) as a first assembly (BG1) that is used to monitor the movement of the rail vehicle,
    - in which the first assembly (BG1), according to the ETCS level-2 functionality, has a connection (AS) for a GSM-R radio connection,
    - in which an adapter (ADP) is provided in the rail vehicle as a second assembly (BG2),
    - in which the adapter (ADP) is connected to the connection (AS) of the first assembly (BG1) via a data transmission line (DL1), with the result that a GSM-R radio connection is simulated for the first assembly (BG1),
    - in which the adapter (ADP) is connected to a computer (RE) as a third assembly (BG3) via a data transmission line (DL2),
    - in which the computer (RE) is arranged in the rail vehicle (SFZ) and comprises software which is used, according to the ETCS level-2 functionality, to simulate a radio block centre (RBC) of a signal box for test purposes,
    - with the result that the ETCS level-2 functionality between the on-board unit (OBU) and the radio block centre (RBC) can be adjusted without the need for a radio transmission.
  2. Arrangement according to Claim 1, in which the adapter (ADP) or the computer (RE) comprises driver software for simulating the GSM-R radio connection.
  3. Arrangement according to Claim 1, in which the rail vehicle (SFZ) is designed, for test purposes, to use a section which has at least two groups of ETCS balises.
  4. Arrangement according to one of the preceding claims, in which the computer software that simulates the radio block centre (RBC) is designed to generate data comprising safety information for a route or information relating to the allocation of track sections.
