Definitions

  • the field is that of protection devices from bad weather and/or the sun.
  • a device for protection against bad weather and/or the sun such as an umbrella, a parasol or a parasol comprises a frame comprising a mast which may or may not be telescopic on which is slidably mounted a slide which can move between a first closing position of the device and an opening position of the device.
  • the frame comprises ribs connected to a nut or support secured to one end of the mast and to the runner via forks or sub-ribs.
  • the ends of the ribs to a circumferential wire secured to the nut.
  • the ends of the forks opposite those connected to the ribs are connected to the slider via another circumferential wire secured to the slider.
  • the deployment of the frame is carried out by sliding the slide which induces deployment of the ribs.
  • the angular spacing of the ribs is obtained by tensioning the protective canvas attached to the ribs and by connecting the ribs and the forks by wire which allow the ribs to be angulated relative to each other.
  • a weather protection device is to protect from rain but can also be used to protect from the sun.
  • a sun protection device whose main function is to protect from the sun can also be used to occasionally protect from the rain.
  • a protective device as described above and used in its function of protection from bad weather necessarily turns out to be damp when it is closed immediately after use in the rain for example.
  • a receiving container for example cylindrical
  • Another method consists of deploying the device in a dry place (garage, covered terrace, etc.) in order to dry the canvas. It is understood that one or other of the methods requires storing the device for a fairly long period of time and does not make transportation by the user possible. of the device in the closed state due to the presence of drops of water on the canvas, in a bag for example, the surrounding items then being wet.
  • JPS5040461U describes a deployable frame according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • the invention aims to remedy all or part of the aforementioned problems and disadvantages in a simple and reliable manner.
  • the first segment articulated by a pivot connection on the nut when deploying the frame, can thus move away from the mast by pivoting around an oblique axis while the second part of said segment can move away of the mast while performing a rotational movement around the extension axis of the first segment.
  • the attachment of a protective fabric can be fixed on the second part of the first segment and the fabric does not undergo rotational movement around the axis of the segment.
  • the mechanical connection of the first segment to the nut makes it possible to guarantee increased rigidity of connection of the rib to the nut compared to the prior technique while ensuring a separation of the rib from the mast when the frame is in its second open position.
  • a first end of the fork can be connected to the slide by a ball joint connection. It could also be connected to the mast via a circumferential wire attached to the slide.
  • the ball joint may comprise a spherical part carried by the first end of the fork and housed in a cavity of complementary shape to the slide.
  • the opposite would also be possible, namely a cavity carried by the first end of the fork and a spherical part carried by a slide.
  • a second end of the fork can be connected by a pivot connection to the second part of the first segment of the rib.
  • this configuration confers further increased rigidity of the rib/fork assembly due to the absence of circumferential play, that is to say around the axis of the mast, of the first end of the rib with the runner.
  • elastic means can be configured to exert a force tending to deploy the frame when it is in its first position. They may in particular comprise an elastic member inserted between the first segment and the mast when the frame is in its first closed position.
  • the elastic member may comprise a tongue carried by the fork and elastically constrained between the fork and the mast when the frame is in its first position.
  • the tongue exerts a force tending to deploy the frame, making it possible to facilitate the initial movement of deployment of the frame by carrying out automatic pre-deployment of the latter.

Description

Domaine technique de l'inventionTechnical field of the invention

The field is that of protection devices from bad weather and/or the sun.

Etat de la technique antérieureState of the prior art

Conventionally, a device for protection against bad weather and/or the sun such as an umbrella, a parasol or a parasol comprises a frame comprising a mast which may or may not be telescopic on which is slidably mounted a slide which can move between a first closing position of the device and an opening position of the device. The frame comprises ribs connected to a nut or support secured to one end of the mast and to the runner via forks or sub-ribs.

In one embodiment, it was proposed to fix the ends of the ribs to a circumferential wire secured to the nut. The ends of the forks opposite those connected to the ribs are connected to the slider via another circumferential wire secured to the slider. The deployment of the frame is carried out by sliding the slide which induces deployment of the ribs. The angular spacing of the ribs is obtained by tensioning the protective canvas attached to the ribs and by connecting the ribs and the forks by wire which allow the ribs to be angulated relative to each other. Although this type of system can be very compact in the closed position, in practice it turns out to be very fragile to use due to the not very rigid connections, on the one hand, from the forks to the slide and, on the other hand, from the ribs to the nut .

Note that the main function of a weather protection device is to protect from rain but can also be used to protect from the sun. Also a sun protection device whose main function is to protect from the sun can also be used to occasionally protect from the rain.

Also, a protective device as described above and used in its function of protection from bad weather, necessarily turns out to be damp when it is closed immediately after use in the rain for example. Thus, when the user arrives at a given location (restaurant, work, etc.) it is known to place the device in a receiving container, for example cylindrical, allowing the water to flow downwards to allow the fabric of the device to dry. Another method consists of deploying the device in a dry place (garage, covered terrace, etc.) in order to dry the canvas. It is understood that one or other of the methods requires storing the device for a fairly long period of time and does not make transportation by the user possible. of the device in the closed state due to the presence of drops of water on the canvas, in a bag for example, the surrounding items then being wet.

On connait les documents JPS5040461U , GB2397223A et KR20100110701A . Le document JPS5040461U décrit une armature déployable suivant le préambule de la revendication 1.We know the documents JPS5040461U , GB2397223A And KR20100110701A . The document JPS5040461U describes a deployable frame according to the preamble of claim 1.

The invention aims to remedy all or part of the aforementioned problems and disadvantages in a simple and reliable manner.

Présentation de l'inventionPresentation of the invention

  • un mât d'axe longitudinal sur lequel est monté un coulant en coulissement entre une première position de fermeture de l'armature et une seconde position d'ouverture de l'armature ;
Thus, this document concerns a deployable frame, in particular for a protection device against bad weather and/or the sun, comprising:
  • a longitudinal axis mast on which is mounted a sliding slide between a first closing position of the frame and a second opening position of the frame;
  • at least one rib connected by a fork to the runner, the rib comprising one end connected to a nut carried by one end of the mast,
characterized in that:
  • the whale comprises a first segment formed of a first part and a second part movable relative to each other around the axis of extension of said first segment,
  • the first part of the first segment of the rib is connected to the nut by a pivot connection around an axis which is perpendicular to a plane inclined obliquely with respect to the longitudinal axis of the mast so that in the first position closing of the frame the first segment of the rib extends along the mast and that in the second opening position of the frame the first segment of the rib is moved away from the mast.

According to the proposed configuration, when deploying the frame, the first segment articulated by a pivot connection on the nut can thus move away from the mast by pivoting around an oblique axis while the second part of said segment can move away of the mast while performing a rotational movement around the extension axis of the first segment. Thus, the attachment of a protective fabric can be fixed on the second part of the first segment and the fabric does not undergo rotational movement around the axis of the segment. Furthermore, the mechanical connection of the first segment to the nut makes it possible to guarantee increased rigidity of connection of the rib to the nut compared to the prior technique while ensuring a separation of the rib from the mast when the frame is in its second open position.

According to another characteristic, a first end of the fork can be connected to the slide by a ball joint connection. It could also be connected to the mast via a circumferential wire attached to the slide.

The ball joint may comprise a spherical part carried by the first end of the fork and housed in a cavity of complementary shape to the slide. The opposite would also be possible, namely a cavity carried by the first end of the fork and a spherical part carried by a slide.

A second end of the fork can be connected by a pivot connection to the second part of the first segment of the rib. In combination with the ball joint of the first end of the fork, this configuration confers further increased rigidity of the rib/fork assembly due to the absence of circumferential play, that is to say around the axis of the mast, of the first end of the rib with the runner.

Also, elastic means can be configured to exert a force tending to deploy the frame when it is in its first position. They may in particular comprise an elastic member inserted between the first segment and the mast when the frame is in its first closed position.

The elastic member may comprise a tongue carried by the fork and elastically constrained between the fork and the mast when the frame is in its first position. In this way, the tongue exerts a force tending to deploy the frame, making it possible to facilitate the initial movement of deployment of the frame by carrying out automatic pre-deployment of the latter.

In a production of a rib for a deployable frame such as that described in this document but which can also be used in other deployable frames not having the aforementioned specificities, each rib can comprise n segments S arranged one at the end others from the first segment S 1 to an nth end segment S n , and in which:
  • for all k e [2, n - 1]
    • ∘ the k-th segment S k is connected to the segment S k -1 by a pivot axis P Sk -1 lSk and is connected to the segment S k +1 by a pivot axis P Sk / Sk +1 ,
    • ∘ a rod T k is associated with the segment S k and is connected by a pivot axis P Tk / Sk -1 and by a pivot axis P Tk / Sk +1 , respectively, to the segment S k -1 and to the segment Sk+1
so that each segment S k forms jointly with a rod T k a deformable parallelogram.

Each k-th rod T k can comprise a bulge R Tk for receiving the pivot axis P Tk +1/ Sk and the pivot axis P Sk / Sk +1 , when the armature is in its first position. Each k-th segment S k includes a bulge R Sk for receiving the pivot axis P Tk / S k-1 , when the armature is in its first position. These bulges make it possible to obtain increased compactness of the whale when the frame is in its first position, that is to say when the segments of the whale are folded on top of each other.

The pivot axes P Tk / Sk -1 , P Sk / Sk -1 and P Tk -1 lSkk can be positioned relative to each other so that said pivot axes are substantially aligned when the armature is in its first position , the pivot axis P Sk / Sk -1 being positioned between the pivot axis P Tk / Sk -1 and the pivot axis P Tk -1/ Sk .

The armature may comprise a first rod T 1 pivotally connected to the fork and pivotally connected to the second segment S 2 by a pivot axis P T 1/ S 2 .

Ladite première tige T1 peut comprendre un renflement R1 de réception de l'axe pivot P S1/S2 et de l'axe pivot P T2/S1.Said first rod T 1 may comprise a bulge R 1 for receiving the pivot axis P S 1/ S 2 and the pivot axis P T 2/ S 1 .

In a more particular configuration, the frame may comprise a first rib and a second rib of the aforementioned type, the first rib being symmetrical to the second rib with respect to a plane containing the longitudinal axis of the mast and passing between the first rib and the second whale.

The axis of the pivot connection of the first rib and the axis of the pivot connection of the second rib can be contained in the same plane parallel to the longitudinal axis of the mast.

Likewise, the frame may comprise a third rib and a fourth rib of the aforementioned type, the third rib being symmetrical to the fourth rib with respect to a plane containing the longitudinal axis of the mast and passing between the third rib and the fourth rib .

The axis of the pivot connection of the third rib and the axis of the pivot connection of the fourth rib can be contained in the same plane parallel to the longitudinal axis of the mast.

The first rib may be symmetrical to the third rib with respect to a plane containing the longitudinal axis of the mast and passing between the first rib and the third rib. The second rib may be symmetrical to the fourth rib with respect to a plane containing the longitudinal axis of the mast and passing between the second rib and the fourth rib.

The mast may have a transverse section of generally oblong shape comprising two facing surfaces and connected to each other by two rounded surfaces.

More particularly, the mast can have two flat surfaces substantially parallel to each other and to the longitudinal axis, said two flat surfaces being connected to each other by junction portions which can be half- straight circular cylinders with generators parallel to the axis of the mast. Obviously, this shape is a particular shape falling within the definition of a general oblong shape within the meaning of the present disclosure. Thus, one and/or the other of the planar surfaces could be replaced by a non-planar surface and the half-cylinders could have non-spherical rounded shapes. By example, one of the four aforementioned surfaces could have a groove from one end to the other of the mast to facilitate sliding cooperation of unit elements forming a telescopic mast.

The axis of the pivot connection of the first rib and the pivot connection axis of the second rib can be arranged in the vicinity of one of the two rounded surfaces. In this configuration, the first rib and the second rib are thus arranged side by side when the frame is in its first closed position. It would also be possible to have the axis of the pivot connection of the third rib and the pivot connection axis of the fourth rib arranged in the vicinity of the other of the two rounded surfaces. In this way, the third rib and the fourth rib are arranged side by side when the frame is in its first closed position. We understand that the frame offers, seen from above that is to say along the axis of the mast and from the nut, thus a generally rectangular shape when it is in its second position, each rib being arranged in the angles of said rectangular shape.

This document also describes a device for protection against bad weather and/or the sun, this device not forming part of the claimed invention, this device comprising at least one frame as described above and a protective canvas attached to said frame so as to be put in tension when said armature is brought into its second position.

A handle element may be mounted at one end of the mast opposite that receiving the nut.

The device may comprise a case capable of being mounted around the frame when the latter is in its first closed position, the case cooperating in sealing with the handle element so as to form a waterproof case.

As will be understood, the present disclosure of the frame can be used, in particular in a device for protection against bad weather such as rain or in a device for protection against the sun such as a parasol, which are transportable or portable devices. It is also applicable to non-transportable devices which would use the same operating principle.

The present disclosure therefore also applies to protection devices comprising a single rib or only two or even three ribs.

  • une armature déployable entre une première position de fermeture de l'armature et une seconde position d'ouverture de l'armature, ladite armature supportant une toile de protection ;
  • un mât d'axe longitudinal (L) sur lequel est destiné à être monté un coulant apte à réaliser un déploiement de l'armature par coulissement le long du mât ;
  • un élément de poignée porté par une extrémité du mât ;
The present disclosure also describes a device for protection against bad weather and/or the sun, this device not forming part of the claimed invention, this device comprising:
  • a frame deployable between a first closing position of the frame and a second opening position of the frame, said frame supporting a protective canvas;
  • a mast with a longitudinal axis (L) on which a slide capable of deploying the armature by sliding along the mast is intended to be mounted;
  • a handle element carried by one end of the mast;
characterized in that it comprises a case in which all or part of the deployable frame is able to be accommodated when the latter is in its first closed position and in that the case and the handle element are configured to cooperate in sealing with each other when the armature is in its first position so as to form a waterproof housing.

This specific assembly makes it possible to make the housing formed of the case and the handle element watertight. In this way, the user can easily transport the device and place it in a bag or any other container capable of receiving it without the objects or belongings located in said container or the walls of said container becoming wet. The device can be shaped so that it can be housed in a pants pocket or in an inside pocket of a suit jacket and it is easy to understand the interest for a user in keeping their protective device with them. without having to worry about where he placed it and having to think about getting it back, the device accompanying him in the same way as these other items.

Description détaillée de l'inventionDetailed description of the invention

There figure 1 includes a first part named Figure 1A and a second part named Figure 1B . There Figure 1A represents a device 10 for protection from bad weather and/or the sun comprising a deployable frame 12 on which a protective canvas 14 is fixed and a handle element 16 which is fixed to one end of a mast 18 of the frame 12. There Figure 1B illustrates an assembly 20 comprising a device 10 and a case 22 in which the frame and the canvas 14 are intended to come and stay. The handle element 16 comprises a free edge 24 applied to and cooperating in sealing with a free edge 26 ( Figure 1B ) of the case 22 by means of an annular seal 28 ( Figure 3 ). The handle element 16 comprises side tabs 30 intended to hook onto complementary parts of the case 22 in order to ensure that the case 22 is held on the handle element 16 ( figures 1B and 2 ). Thus, when the frame 12 and the canvas 14 are housed in the case 22 and the case 22 performs a sealing function with the handle element 16, the assembly 20 ( Figure 1B ) thus formed can be placed in a bag, an inside pocket of a jacket or a pocket of pants, without the residual drops present on the canvas 14 coming out and wetting the objects in contact with the assembly 20.

We observe that the case 22 as well as the handle element 16 have a rectangular parallelepiped shape having a length or height l1, a width l2 and a thickness l3. The length l1 is greater than the width which is itself greater than the thickness l3. It will subsequently be understood that the proposed shape of the case formed by the case 22 and the handle element 16 is enabled by the use of specific kinematics for deploying/closing the ribs B 1 , B 2 , B 3 , B 4 ( figure 2 ) and by a relative arrangement of the ribs B 1 , B 2 , B 3 , B 4 relative to each other, allowing increased compactness of the device 10 in the closed position compared to the devices of the state of the art.

There figure 2 represents the frame 12 as well as the handle element 16, the case 22 and the canvas 14 not being shown in order to visualize the frame 12 of the device 10 in its first closed position. The frame 12, according to the present disclosure, therefore comprises a mast 18 which is here telescopic but which could also not be telescopic so that the present disclosure also targets non-telescopic masts. The telescopic mast 18 thus comprises five portions 18 1 , 18 2 , 18 3 , 18 4 18 5 of tubes engaged in one another. The mast 18 has a transverse section, that is to say in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis L of the mast 18, of generally oblong shape.

A slider 32 is mounted around the mast 18 and configured to slide along the longitudinal axis L of the mast 18 between the first closed position of the frame 12 ( figures 2 and 3 ) and a second opening or deployment position of the frame 12 ( figures 9 to 11 ). As can be seen on the figures 2 to 10 , the frame 12 includes four ribs denoted B 1 , B 2 , B 3 , B 4 . Each rib B 1 , B 2 , B 3 , B 4 is associated and connected to a fork F which is connected to the slide. Furthermore, each rib B 1 , B 2 , B 3 , B 4 is connected to a nut 34 or support secured to the end of the mast 18 which is opposite to that carrying the handle element 16. The mast 18 being telescopic , the nut 34 is secured to one end of the tube portion 18 5 which is located radially furthest inward relative to the other tube portions ( figure 2 , 5 And 8 ). We observe that the nut 34 comprises an upper base 36 connected to a tube portion 38 of also oblong shape and which surrounds (but it could be the reverse) and is fixed to the end of the tube portion 18 5 .

La structure de chaque baleine B1, B2, B3, B4 sera décrite plus en détail ultérieurement, en référence aux figures 12 et 13.As we can see each whale B 1 , B 2 , B 3 , B 4 comprises n segments S arranged one at the end of the other from a first segment S 1 to an nth segment S n figures 9 And 12 ). The first segment S 1 of each whale B 1 , B 2 , B 3 , B 4 is formed of a first part 40 and a second part 42 movable relative to each other around the axis of extension of said first segment S 1 ( Figures 5, 6 , 8 And 10 ). The structure of each whale B 1 , B 2 , B 3 , B 4 will be described in more detail later, with reference to the figures 12 And 13 .

As can be seen on the figures 5, 6 , 8 , 10 And 11 , one end of the first part 40 of the first segment S 1 of each rib B 1 , B 2 , B 3 , B 4 is connected by a pivot connection around an axis P B 1 , P B 2 , P B 3 and P B 4 which is each perpendicular to a plane inclined obliquely relative to the longitudinal axis L of the mast 18. The other end of the first part is engaged in one end of the second part and the first part and second part are capable of rotating relative to each other around the axis of extension of the segment S 1 . The term "pivot axis" or "axis" in relation to a pivot connection refers both to the material element serving as a pivot which is centered on the immaterial axis and to the material axis or rod as such. The first part 40 of the first segment S 1 , and also the segment S 1 as such of the rib B 1 , are articulated in rotation on the nut around a pivot axis P B 1 perpendicular to a plane P 1 inclined in oblique with respect to the longitudinal axis L of the mast 18. The first part 40 of the first segment S 1 , and also the segment S 1 of the rib B 2 , are articulated in rotation on the nut around a pivot axis P B 2 perpendicular to a plane P 2 inclined obliquely with respect to the longitudinal axis L of the mast 18. The first part 40 of the first segment S 1 , and also the segment S 1 as such of the whale B 3 , are articulated in rotation on the nut around a pivot axis P B 3 perpendicular to a plane inclined obliquely relative to the longitudinal axis L of the mast 18. The first part 40 of the first segment S 1 , and also the segment S 1 in as such of the whale B 4 , are articulated in rotation on the nut 34 around a pivot axis (not shown) perpendicular to a plane inclined obliquely with respect to the longitudinal axis L of the mast 18. More particularly, we observes that the first whale B 1 figure 4 ) is symmetrical to the second rib B 2 with respect to a plane A containing the longitudinal axis L of the mast 18 and passing between the first rib B 1 and the second rib B 2 . Also, the axis P B 1 of the pivot connection of the first rib B 1 and the axis P B 2 of the pivot connection of the second rib B 2 are contained in the same plane B parallel to the longitudinal axis of the mast 18. The third rib B 3 is symmetrical to the fourth rib B 4 with respect to a plane C containing the longitudinal axis L of the mast 18 and passing between the third rib B 3 and the fourth rib B 4 . Also, the axis P B 3 of the pivot connection of the third rib B 3 and the axis P B 4 of the pivot connection of the fourth rib B 4 are contained in the same plane D parallel to the longitudinal axis L of the mast. So, plane B and plane D are parallel to each other. Also, the first rib B 1 is symmetrical to the third rib B 3 with respect to a plane E containing the longitudinal axis L of the mast 18 and passing between the first rib B 1 and the third rib B 3 . The second rib B 2 is symmetrical to the fourth rib B 4 with respect to a plane F containing the longitudinal axis L of the mast 18 and passing between the second rib B 2 and the fourth rib B 4 . Due to the aforementioned symmetries, plane A and plane C are merged and the same is true of planes E and F.

There Figure 6 being a side view of the ribs B 1 and B 2 only, and in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction L of the mast, we understand that the oblique planes P 1 and P 2 are perpendicular to the plane of the page.

In an exemplary embodiment, the axes P B 1 and P B 2 form an angle of approximately 45° with the plane A ( Figure 6 ). Likewise, the axes P B 3 and P B 4 form an angle of approximately 45° with the plane C ( figures 4 to 6 ).

The mast 18 has a transverse section of generally oblong shape comprising two flat surfaces 44 part A of the Figure 4 facing each other and connected to each other by two rounded surfaces 46. The axis of the pivot connection of the first rib B 1 and the pivot connection axis of the second rib B 2 are in the vicinity of one of the two rounded surfaces 46. In this configuration, the first rib B 1 and the second rib B 2 are thus arranged side by side when the frame 12 is in its first closed position. The axis of the pivot connection of the third rib and the pivot connection axis of the fourth rib B 4 are arranged in the vicinity of the other 46 of the two rounded surfaces. In this way, the third rib B 3 and the fourth rib B 4 are arranged side by side when the frame 12 is in its first closed position. We understand that the frame 12 offers, seen from above, that is to say along the axis L of the mast 12 and from the nut 34 ( Figure 4 ), thus a generally rectangular shape 48 when it is in its second position, each rib being arranged in the corners of said rectangular shape. This positioning of the pivot axes of the ribs B 1 , B 2 , B 3 , B 4 relative to the mast allows the armature to be inserted into a rectangular shaped case as shown in figure 2 . This also makes it possible to offer increased compactness to the frame 12 in the direction of the small dimension of the oblong shape. Each fork F comprises a first end connected to the slide 32, more particularly by a ball joint, as illustrated in the figures 8 , 10 And 11 and a second end connected by a pivot connection to the second part 42 of the first segment S 1 of each rib B 1 . More particularly, the first end of each fork F carries a spherical part 50 engaged in a cavity of complementary shape of the slide 32. The second end of each fork F is pivotally inserted between two arms 52 of the second part 42 of the first segment S 1 of each whale B 1 .

As can be seen, each fork F also includes elastic means, in the particular case illustrated in the figures and better visible in the figures 8 , 10 And 11 , in the form of an elastic tongue 54. This elastic tongue 54 is carried by the first end of the fork F and extends towards the second end of the fork F so as to form an angle with the fork F. In other words, the tongue 54 moves away from the fork F towards the second end of the fork F. Thus shaped, this tongue 54 makes it possible to exert an elastic force against the mast 18, more particularly against the tube portion 18 1 of the mast 18, which makes it possible to induce a pre-deployment of the armature 12 from its first closed position thus allowing the user to more easily access the slide and to be able to manipulate it to move it from its first position towards its second position.

According to this document, the specific connection of each fork F by a pivot connection to the slide 34 and to a second part 42 of a segment S 1 of a whale B 1 which the second segment 42 is able to pivot relative to a first segment 40 articulated on an oblique pivot axis allows the ribs B 1 , B 2 , B 3 , B 4 to move away from each other from the first position ( figures 4, 5 and 6 ) to the second position ( figures 9, 10 And 11 ).

The flow 34 ( Figure 11 ) comprises a first upper annular portion 56 comprising the housings or cavity for receiving the spherical parts 50 and a lower portion 58 comprising a recess for receiving a high spring 60 for blocking the slide 34 in the second position of the armature 12 .

Les différentes parties d'une baleine sont illustrées sur la figure 13, cette baleine pouvant être indifféremment la baleine B1, B2, B3 ou B4We now refer to the Figure 12 which represents the whale B1 connected to the mast 18 and the slide according to the aforementioned means. The different parts of a whale are illustrated on the figure 13 , this whale can be either whale B1, B2, B3 or B4

Each rib comprises n segments S arranged one at the end of the other from the first segment S 1 to an nth end segment S n , and:

Here, in the case shown in the figures and better visible in Figure 13 , each whale includes 5 segments S1, S2, S3, S4, S5 and we observe that the segments S2, S3 and S4 respect the aforementioned rule. We observe that the rods T2, T3, T4 also respect the aforementioned rule.

In order to deploy and close each rib, the pivot axes P Tk / Sk -1 , P Sk / Sk -1 and P Tk- 1 lSkk are positioned relative to each other so that said pivot axes are substantially aligned, the pivot axis P Sk / Sk -1 being positioned between the pivot axis P Tk / Sk -1 and the pivot axis P Tk -1 lSk .

On the Figure 13 , we observe that each k-th rod T k comprises a bulge R Tk for receiving the pivot axis P Tk +1/ Sk and the pivot axis P Sk / Sk +1 , when the armature is in its first position (see also Figure 3 ). Furthermore, each k-th segment S k comprises a bulge R Sk for receiving the pivot axis P Tk / Sk- 1 , when the armature is in its first position. Also, said first rod T 1 comprises a bulge R 1 for receiving the pivot axis P S 1/ S 2 and the pivot axis P T 2/ S 1 .

This document thus concerns a deployable frame comprising one or more ribs. Thus, a configuration with four ribs makes it possible to deploy a canvas around one end of the mast and thus protect the user. This frame is advantageously portable. It could also be used as a non-mobile structure by a user traveling on foot and could, for example, be transportable and serve as a parasol. Also, in another embodiment, the frame may comprise two ribs symmetrical to each other relative to plane A or plane C ( Figure 4 ). In such a configuration, the canvas could comprise a first free edge and a second free edge which could be connected to one or more vertical structural elements, such as a vertical plane, for example a wall, the mast being able to be oriented vertically and arranged in the vicinity or at a distance from said vertical elements. Plane A or C can be oriented vertically and be perpendicular to a vertical plane passing through the vertical elements. The deployment of the two ribs can thus lead to the two ribs moving away from the vertical structural elements, the canvas thus being stretched angularly from a first vertical element, a first rib, a second rib up to the second vertical element. In this way, we can imagine that the canvas has the shape of half of a canvas of the figure 1 . Such a deployable structure could be used on a terrace of a drinking establishment, for example, for tables arranged next to a wall.

The canvas can be made of an elastically deformable material in such a way that the canvas is little or weakly stretched when the frame is in its first closed position.

We now refer to the figures 14 to 17 which illustrate a waterproof housing 62 not forming part of the claimed invention, this waterproof housing 62 housing the frame 12 previously described but which could house a different frame and not described in the present document so that the description of the waterproof box 62 may or may not be combined with the characteristics of the frame 12. The parts identical to those previously described will not be described again and will bear the same references without this limiting the content of the description below for carrying out the figures 1 to 13 .

The box 62 shown in figures 14 to 17 thus comprises a handle element 64 and a case 66 which differ from those described previously in that the waterproof fixing of these two parts is carried out differently. However, the dimensional description characteristics (length, width, and thickness) carried out previously and the consequences resulting from them are applicable to this box. This housing 62 is capable of receiving any type of reinforcement and in particular that 12 described previously.

The case 66 comprises a part called the fixed part 68 as well as a first movable member 70a and a second movable member 70b which are movable between a first tight locking position of the handle element 64 with the case 66 and a second unlocking position allowing disengagement of the handle element 64 from the case 66. The first movable member 70a and the second movable member 70b are symmetrical to each other with respect to a plane containing the axis longitudinal of the mast 18. The fixed part 68 of the case 66 comprises a first wall 68a and a second wall 68b extending in the direction of the length l1 and the thickness l3 as well as a third 68c and a fourth wall 68d extending in the direction of width l2 and length l1 or height. The first wall 68a and the second wall 68b are parallel to each other. It is the same for the third 68c and fourth 68d walls. These walls 68a, 68b, 68c, 68d are connected to each other by a bottom wall 68e or upper wall.

The handle element 64 comprises a first wall 64a and a second wall 64b extending in the direction of length l1 and thickness l3 as well as a third 64c and a fourth wall 64d extending in the direction of the width l2 and the length l1 or height. The first wall 64a and the second wall 64b are parallel to each other. It is the same for the third 64c and fourth 64d walls. These walls 64a, 64b, 64c, 64d are connected to each other by a bottom wall 64e or upper wall.

One or more sealing parts such as gaskets may be interposed between the case 66 and the handle member 64 but are not shown. The walls of each pair of third walls 66c, 64c of the case 66 and handle element 64 and fourth walls 66d, 64d of the case 66 and the handle element 64 are aligned together in the longitudinal direction and designed to be placed end to end as can be seen on the Figure 14 notably.

Each movable member 70a comprises a first web 72a and a second web 72b connected to each other by a wall element 74 ( figures 15 And 16A ). This wall element 74 can be shaped to be substantially aligned with the first wall 66a for the first member 70a movable and with the second wall 66b for the second movable member 70b. The description made with reference to a movable organ is also valid for the other movable organs. In order to guide the first 70a and second 70b movable members, guide means are provided on the protection device.

Thus, each sail 72a, 72b comprises a housing 76 comprising a first curved portion 76a, that is to say extending along an arc of a circle, which is connected at one end to a portion 76b oriented along the longitudinal axis L ( Figures 15B and C ). This housing 76 is here more particularly a light, that is to say a housing passing through the veil 72a, 72b. We understand that a non-through housing, that is to say a groove, could provide the same guiding function. This being the light allows each guide rod to be fixed on the third wall and the fourth wall of the case as appears in the figures. According to this document, a lower rod or second rod 78 is engaged by one end in the housing 76 of the first web 72a and for the other opposite end in the housing 76 of the second web 72b. This second rod 78 or lower rod is fixed to the third 66c and fourth 66d walls of the case 66. On the Figure 15C , we observe the presence of a fixing means 77 of the lower rod 78 of the first web 72a of the first movable member 70a to the third wall 66a while this fixing means has been removed (for ease of reading) from this figure (but exists) with regard to the lower rod 78 of the first web 72a of the second movable member 70b.

The wall element of 74 each movable member 70a, 70b may comprise a first upper hook 80 capable of cooperating by elastic snap-fastening with a first hook 82 of complementary shape to the fixed part 68 of the case 66 when the movable member 70a , 70b is in its first position so as to block said movable member 70a, 70b on the fixed part 68 of the case 66 in the longitudinal direction ( figures 15A , 16 And 17B ). It is observed that the upper end or first end of the wall element 74 of the movable member 70a, 70b is guided to slide in the longitudinal direction L via an upper rod 84 or first rod whose ends are fixed to the third 66c and fourth 66d walls of the fixed part 68 of the case 66 and which is engaged in a slot 86 of the first end or upper end of the wall element 74 ( figures 16a And 17B ).

Par ailleurs, chaque organe mobile 70a, 70b comprend un second crochet 88 inférieur formé au niveau d'une seconde extrémité de l'élément de paroi 74, le long de la direction longitudinale L. Ce second crochet 88 est apte à coopérer par encliquetage élastique avec un second crochet 90 de forme complémentaire de l'élément de poignée 64 lorsque l'organe mobile est dans sa première position de manière à bloquer un mouvement de l'organe mobile 70a, 70b selon une direction perpendiculaire à la direction longitudinale L.Furthermore, each movable member 70a, 70b comprises a second lower hook 88 formed at a second end of the wall element 74, along the longitudinal direction L. This second hook 88 is capable of cooperating by elastic snap-fastening with a second hook 90 of complementary shape to the handle element 64 when the movable member is in its first position so as to block movement of the movable member 70a, 70b in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction L.

After putting the deployable frame in its first closed position, the opening of the case 66 is presented at the level of the nut 34 of the frame 12 and the frame 12 is inserted at the interior of the case 66 until the third walls 66a, 64a of the case 66 and the handle element 64 as well as the fourth walls 66d, 64d of the case 66 and the element handle 64 come into contact, possibly via one or more seals. The movable members 70a, 70b being in their second unlocking position (not shown), they are moved by pivoting around the first rods so as to come to an intermediate position in which the second rods 78 are able to slide longitudinally in the second portions 76b of the housings 76, the first rods 84 also then being allowed to slide in the slots 86 of the first ends of the wall elements 74 of the movable members 70a, 70b.
