Abstract

Technical area

The invention relates to the field of linen and more particularly to a double-thickness textile envelope. The invention aims to facilitate the storage of textile elements, in particular of the duvet, blanket, sheet or towel type.

State of the art

In the field of bedding, it is common practice to use a protective duvet cover to preserve the cleanliness of a duvet while allowing the user to change the external appearance of said duvet. Such a cover is in the form of a substantially parallelepipedal fabric bag or envelope, one side of which is open for the introduction of a duvet. This type of cover, however, poses a problem when filling with a duvet. Indeed, in this case, you have to slide the duvet into the cover by a relatively narrow end and try to match the corners of the duvet with the corners of the cover in order to have the flattest possible surface. This technique is a source of waste of time as well as irritation since it is very difficult to place the duvet perfectly. The problem turns out to be all the greater when the cover is of large dimensions. This covering technique can also be a source of health problems by generating Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) for people repeating these same gestures in their profession.

In order to at least partly solve this drawback, it is known to open the duvet cover on three sides in order to position the duvet in the cover and then to close it again. Such solutions are known in particular from the documents FR2840518A1 and EP1082928A1 . However, in this type of cover, no means are provided to make the duvet easy to store. Furthermore, the document JPH07028476U presents a sleeping bag comprising a bag-shaped portion extending from the upper edge of said bag and comprising an integrated cushion. However, the bag-shaped portion makes it possible to accommodate approximately half of the body of the bag once rolled up, which does not entirely protect the bag, which can for example get dirty. Further, the bag-like portion constitutes a hood and has a rigid structure which is shaped to hold any alone by presenting a curved surface in the form of an arc, which has a disadvantage, in particular for transport or storage.

There is therefore a need for a solution making it possible to remedy these drawbacks at least in part.

Disclosure of Invention

One of the aims of the invention is to provide a textile envelope, in particular of the duvet cover, blanket, sheet or towel type, which is easy to use and store. In particular, one of the aims of the invention is to provide a duvet cover solution which makes it possible to easily store the duvet with its cover while allowing easy and quick insertion of the duvet into the cover. Another object of the invention is also to limit musculoskeletal disorders by facilitating the covering of the duvet.

To this end, the invention firstly relates to a textile envelope comprising two superposed flexible layers of textile, between which is defined an internal space, and an opening allowing access to said internal space, said envelope being remarkable in that that it comprises a storage pocket connected to one of the two layers of the envelope along said opening and which is adapted to be placed in a storage position, in which the pocket is arranged entirely in the internal space , and in a deployed position, outside the internal space, the pocket being dimensioned to receive and store the folded thicknesses, in particular with a duvet inside, for example three thicknesses in the case of a covered duvet or else two thicknesses in the case of an empty envelope such as a plaid, preferably in order to form a pillow or a cushion in which the storage pocket has the function of a pillowcase.

The one-piece, double-thickness envelope according to the invention thus comprises a retractable integrated storage pocket which makes it possible to house the envelope once folded in order to be able to serve as a pillow or to be able to be stored easily. In the deployed position, the storage pocket extends from the edge of the opening in order to be able to easily and quickly store the first layer and the second layer in the storage pocket, preferably by turning the pocket over the first layer and the second layer folded over. In the storage position, the flexible pouch is housed by reversing its thicknesses between the two thicknesses of the envelope, flat and completely so as to be invisible and not in the way when using the unfolded envelope.

By the terms “two superimposed flexible layers of textile”, we mean “two layers, for example of fabric, superimposed”. By the terms “folded layers”, it is meant that the layers can be folded several times and/or rolled up to obtain a volume that can be accommodated in the pocket.

Preferably, the envelope is, apart from the pocket, made up of two thicknesses of material.

The envelope can for example be a duvet cover, a blanket, a sheet or a towel.

According to one aspect of the invention, the pocket is flexible.

According to one aspect of the invention, the pocket is made of a textile material, preferably identical to that of the thicknesses of the envelope.

According to one aspect of the invention, the pocket is flat when it is empty.

According to one aspect of the invention, the pocket has a rectangular shape when it is empty.

Preferably, the pocket itself has two layers and an opening to receive the two folded layers.

According to one aspect of the invention, the pocket consists of two identical thicknesses.

Preferably, once folded, the layers of the envelope are inserted into the pocket by turning said pocket over said folded layers.

As a variant, the two layers of the pocket are at least partly separable in order to facilitate the insertion of the folded layers. For example, one or more edges of the pocket can be zipped or connected by press studs.

In one embodiment, the storage pocket is made from the same material as one of the two layers in order to be able to manufacture the envelope from a single piece of fabric and thus reduce the steps of the manufacturing process.

In another embodiment, the storage pocket is attached to one of the two thicknesses. For example, the pocket can be sewn or zipped on one of the two layers of the envelope. The thicknesses of the envelope and the storage pocket can thus be manufactured separately before fixing the pocket on one of the thicknesses of the envelope, in particular in order to be able to add a pocket of storage on the envelope of an existing duvet cover, for example.

Advantageously, the length of the junction between the storage pocket and the edge is of the order of a third of the length of said edge in order to allow the layers to be folded in three to the width of the pocket and thus facilitate their storage in the pocket.

According to one aspect of the invention, the envelope comprises opening and closing means suitable for opening and closing access to the internal space at the level of the opening, in particular in order to allow the closing of the opening when the pocket is in the storage position.

Preferably, the opening and closing means comprise at least one zipper.

In one embodiment, the opening and closing means comprise at least one strip made of a self-gripping material.

In one embodiment, the opening and closing means comprise press studs.

In one embodiment, the opening is formed between the two layers. The opening may be formed at one edge of the two plies, at two edges of the two plies, at three edges of the two plies, or at all four edges of the two plies.

Preferably, the envelope is rectangular in shape and the opening is formed at least at one of the short edges of the envelope.

In another embodiment, the opening is formed through one of the thicknesses of the envelope, preferably along at least two edges, preferably three edges of said thickness in order to facilitate access to the internal space, in particular for inserting an element into the internal space such as a duvet. In this case, preferably, in the straight parts, and in particular with the use of a zipper, the opening is on one of the thicknesses, advantageously the least visible, at least for the curved parts.

Advantageously, the envelope is reversible.

In one embodiment, the cover is a duvet cover adapted to receive a duvet in the internal space, the pocket being sized to receive the two layers and the folded duvet.

In another embodiment, the envelope is of the "plaid" type and is adapted to receive an intermediate thickness in the internal space in order to improve or regulate thermal comfort, the pocket being sized to receive the two thicknesses and the folded intermediate thickness.

Advantageously, the pocket comprises an information zone, for example printed or reported in the form of a label, comprising the dimensions of said cover, in particular when the cover is adapted to receive a quilt of given dimensions.

In one embodiment, the pocket is provided with a closure member, for example of the zipper type, invisible in the storage position of the pocket in order to keep the pocket closed and in place in its fully flat storage position between the layers of the envelope.

In one embodiment, the envelope is coated on its outer faces with a lining, for example fur or the like.

The invention also relates to a textile assembly comprising an envelope of the duvet cover type, as presented above, and a duvet arranged flat in the internal space between the two layers, the pocket being concealed flat in the internal space, between the duvet and one of the layers of the envelope.

The invention also relates to a pillow in the form of a pocket in which is housed an envelope as presented above.

The invention also relates to a pillow or cushion in the form of a pocket in which is housed a folded envelope as presented previously, of the duvet cover type, and a duvet placed in said envelope.

Detailed description of at least one embodiment

The invention will be described below in its application to a duvet cover. It will however be noted that it applies to any type of double-thick textile envelope such as, for example, a blanket, a plaid, a sheet, a bath towel, a beach towel, etc. It will be noted in particular that the envelope according to the invention could be used in the absence of a duvet.

We represented on the figures 1 to 5 and 7 to 13 an embodiment of a textile envelope 1 according to the invention, of the duvet cover type.

The envelope 1 is rectangular in shape and comprises a first flexible layer 10 of textile and a second flexible layer 20 of superimposed textile ( figure 3 and 4 ) making it possible to form a one-piece envelope having an internal space 30 defined between said two thicknesses 10, 20, two side edges 1A, 1B, an upper edge 1C and a lower edge 1D. By the terms "side", "upper" and "lower", the edges 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D are defined according to the arrangement of the envelope 1 illustrated on the figure 1 .

An opening 40, formed in this example in the first thickness 10, allows access to said internal space 30, the first thickness 10 and the second thickness 20 being sewn together. As a variant, the opening 40 could be formed in the second thickness 20 or between the first thickness 10 and the second thickness 20, for example at the side edges 1A, 1B and the upper edge 1C.

The envelope 1 comprises opening and closing means suitable for opening and closing access to the internal space 30 at the level of the opening 40.

In the example illustrated, the opening and closing means are in the form of a zipper 50 mounted in the first thickness 10 along the side edges 1A, 1B and the upper edge 1C. As a variant or in addition, the opening and closing means could comprise at least one strip made of a self-gripping material and/or press studs and/or any other suitable means. As a further variant, the opening and closing means could be mounted in the second thickness 20 or between the first thickness 10 and the second thickness 20, for example at the level of the side edges 1A, 1B and of the upper edge 1C.

In this example, the opening 40 is partial and only allows partial separation of the first thickness 10 while making access to the internal space 30 both easy and quick, in particular in order to insert a quilt 2 , visible on the figure 4 . As a variant, the opening 40 could be total (loop) in order to remove a portion of the first thickness 10 or to separate the first thickness 10 from the second thickness 20 to access the internal space 30 and in particular insert a duvet 2.

Preferably, the envelope 1 is reversible.

The envelope 1 comprises a storage pocket 60 connected to the first thickness 10 or to the second thickness 20 along the opening 40.

The pocket 60 is adapted to be placed in a storage position in which the pocket 60 is disposed in the internal space 30, as illustrated in the figures 1 to 5 , and in a deployed position outside the internal space 30, as illustrated in the figures 7 to 12 .

The pocket 60 is dimensioned to receive and store the first thickness 10 and the second thickness 20 folded, preferably with a duvet 2 placed inside and preferably in order to form a pillow or a cushion in which the pocket 60 has the function pillowcase.

The pocket 60 itself comprises two thicknesses and an opening in order to receive the folded thicknesses. The pocket 60 can be made from the same material as the first thickness 10 or the second thickness 20 or attached to the first thickness 10 or to the second thickness 20, for example by being sewn or zipped on the first thickness 10 or on the second thickness. 20.

In another embodiment, for example when the envelope is of the plaid type, an intermediate thickness of insulation or thermal regulation can be inserted via the opening between the two thicknesses of the envelope.

Implementation

The invention will now be described in its implementation with reference to the figures and in particular to the figure 6 and 14 .

First of all, the envelope 1 is extended on a surface then the zipper 50 is opened in a step E1, as illustrated in the picture 2 . A part of the first thickness 10 is then partially removed in a step E2 in order to form the opening 40 allowing the duvet 2 to be inserted into the envelope 1 ( picture 3 ). At this stage, the pocket 60 is not deployed and is therefore between the first thickness 10 and the second thickness 20.

Next, the quilt 2 is inserted in a step E3 between the first thickness 10 and the second thickness 20 via the opening 40 so as to extend into the internal space 30, as illustrated in figure 4 .

The zipper 50 is then closed again in a step E4, as illustrated in figure 5 . At this stage, the envelope 1 comprising the duvet 2 is ready to be used, the pocket 60 being placed inside the envelope 1 with the duvet 2.

When it is necessary to store the duvet 2, for example in summer, the envelope 1 advantageously makes it possible to store the duvet 2 with a minimum of space while transforming the assembly formed by the envelope 1 and the duvet 5 into a pillow . To this end, the envelope 1 is first spread out on a surface with the duvet 2 inside and then the zipper 50 is opened so as to take out the pocket 60 in a step F1, as illustrated in figure figure 7 .

Then, the side edges 1A, 1B of the envelope 1 are folded over in a step F2 so that the width obtained is equal to or substantially smaller than the length of the junction between the pocket 60 and the first thickness 10 or the second thickness 20 to which the pocket 60 is connected, in this example at the upper edge 1C, as illustrated in the figure 8 .

The first thickness 10 and the second thickness 20 between which the quilt 2 extends, are then folded over the pocket 60 in a step F3, for example in several times, as illustrated in the figures 9 to 11 . Alternatively, the first layer 10, the quilt 2 and the second layer 20 could be rolled in the direction of the pocket 60.

The pocket 60 is then turned over on the assembly formed by the first thickness 10, the quilt 2 and the second thickness 20 folded in a step F4, as illustrated in figure 12 , in order to obtain a storage of small dimensions allowing both to store the quilt 2 in the envelope 1 and to act as a pillow or cushion ( figure 13 ).

Alternatively, if the two layers of the pocket 60 are at least partly separable at the opening and closing members, for example by being provided with a zipper, self-gripping strips or press studs , the assembly formed by the first thickness 10, the duvet 2 and the second thickness 20 folded is folded or rolled in the pocket 60 then the two thicknesses of the pocket 60 are joined again at the level of said opening and closing members .

The pocket 60 of the envelope 1 according to the invention therefore makes it possible to store the first thickness 10 and the second thickness 20 in order in particular to form a pillow and/or to facilitate the storage of said envelope 1. The envelope 1 is particularly advantageous when it is used as a duvet cover or plaid because it makes it possible to store both the cover and the duvet 2 or respectively an intermediate thickness in the pocket 60 to protect and store the duvet 2 or said intermediate thickness while constituting a pillow or a cushion.

Claims (10)

Textile envelope (1) comprising two superposed flexible layers (10, 20) of textile, between which an internal space (30) is defined, and an opening (40) allowing access to said internal space (30), said envelope (1 ) being characterized in that it comprises a flexible and flat storage pocket (60) connected to one of the two thicknesses (10, 20) of the envelope (1) along said opening (40) and which is adapted to be placed in a storage position in which the pocket (60) is disposed entirely within the internal space (30) and in a deployed position outside the internal space (30), the pocket (60) being sized to fully receiving and storing the folded layers (10, 20). Envelope (1) according to claim 1, in which the pocket (60) is made from the same material as one of the two thicknesses (10, 20). Envelope (1) according to Claim 1, in which the pocket (60) is attached to one of the two thicknesses (10, 20). Envelope (1) according to the preceding claim, in which the pocket (60) is sewn or zipped on one of the two layers (10, 20). Envelope (1) according to any preceding claim, wherein the length of the seam between the pocket (60) and the thickness (10, 20) at which the pocket (60) at one of the edges (1C) of the casing (1) is connected is of the order of a third of the length of said edge (1C). Envelope (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, in which the envelope (1) comprises opening and closing means (50) adapted to open access to the internal space (30) at the level of the opening (40). Envelope (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, in which the opening (40) is formed between the two layers (10, 20). A cover (1) according to any preceding claim, wherein the opening (40) is formed through one of the layers (10, 20). Cover (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, in which the cover (1) is a duvet cover adapted to receive a duvet (2) in the internal space (30), the pocket (60) being dimensioned to receive the two layers (10, 20) and the duvet (2) folded. Envelope (1) according to any one of claims 1 to 8, in which the envelope (1) is of the "plaid" type and is adapted to receive an intermediate thickness (2) in the internal space (30) in order to improve or regulate the thermal comfort, the pocket (60) being sized to receive the layers (10, 20) and the intermediate layer (2) folded.
