On utilise beaucoup, dans le domaine des non-tissés, le liage par jet d'eau qui est une consolidation de nappe fibreuse par liage par jet d'eau. On a besoin, à cet effet, d'un injecteur qui distribue uniformément l'eau sous pression, allant de 1 à 400 bar, sur toute la longueur du voile formé par la machine. Le dispositif de projection de jet d'eau, dénommé aussi injecteur, comprend notamment un corps et un mors résistant à la pression et délimitant une chambre intérieure ayant une entrée. La chambre intérieure communique avec interposition d'une plaque perforée avec une fente de sortie débouchant à l'extérieur du mors ou de l'injecteur. Une gorge sans fin est usinée dans le mors, en entourant la fente de sortie. Cette gorge à la forme d'une piste d'athlétisme, en ayant deux parties opposées délimitées chacune par un bord intérieur et un bord extérieur et deux parties courbes d'extrémité. Un joint torique, ayant deux brins rectilignes et deux brins curvilignes, est placé dans cette gorge afin d'assurer le maintien et l'étanchéité de la plaque perforée. On utilise suivant l'invention un outillage ou un ensemble de cet outillage et du joint qu'il sert à poser, qui comprend une roue tournant autour d'un axe et ayant un seul crochet. Le crochet fait saillie vers l'extérieur de la jante de la roue et s'étend seulement dans le plan médian de la jante perpendiculaire à l'axe. Il est de symétrie par rapport à ce plan. Ses deux faces latérales sont respectivement à une même distance des faces latérales ou joues de la roue, dans la direction de l'axe. Le crochet a une face concave et une face convexe opposée à la face concave. Le joint à poser est accroché au crochet et est enroulé autour de la jante en pouvant ainsi se dérouler en étant parfaitement guidé sans torsion. En outre, cela permet d'emmagasiner le joint à l'abri des poussières et autres salissures par contact avec le sol, comme c'est le cas pour des joints d'une longueur de chaque brin rectiligne de 3 à 4 mètres.
