Definitions
- the present invention relates to a guide rail for a cover element of a swimming pool cover, with a guide section for supporting and guiding the cover element along a guide direction and with a connecting section opposite the guide section for connecting the guide rail to a pool edge running along a swimming pool. Furthermore, the invention relates to a swimming pool cover, a use of such a guide rail and a method for fastening such a guide rail.
- Guide rails for a cover element of a swimming pool cover are known in the prior art in multiple designs. These serve to guide and support the cover element, which is usually moved on the guide rails by means of rollers, along a guide direction. Thus, in a first position, the covering element can release a swimming pool for use, in particular for swimming, or, in a second position, cover the swimming pool for protection when not in use.
- Cover elements of the swimming pool cover are known for this purpose in a wide variety of forms. In recent years, there has been a trend towards cover elements that can be walked on. In addition to their actual function, covering the swimming pool, such cover elements can also be used as a terrace that can be walked on. However, the known guide rails are not very practical for such cover elements.
- the AT 380 057 B discloses guide rails on which a cover element for a swimming pool is mounted so that it can move horizontally between two end positions.
- the guide rails are stationary and are arranged on a support part via a web of rails. Due to the design of the guide rails as crane rails with a rail web, these protrude significantly beyond the support part. There is a risk of tripping due to the guide rail when entering the pool.
- wheels of a swimming pool cover run in groove-shaped depressions in a concrete or stone support part. This means that the cover cannot be guided smoothly.
- the object of the present invention is to eliminate the disadvantages known from the prior art.
- the task is in particular to create a guide rail which improves attachment to the pool edges and/or ensures smoother running.
- the object is achieved by a guide rail for a cover element of a swimming pool cover, a swimming pool cover, use of a guide rail and a method for fastening a guide rail with the features of the independent patent claims.
- a guide rail for a cover element of a swimming pool cover is proposed, with a guide section for supporting and guiding the cover element along a guide direction and with a connecting section opposite the guide section Connecting the guide rail to a pool edge running along a swimming pool.
- a cover element is to be understood here as an element which can cover or uncover the swimming pool as required.
- the cover element is designed in such a way that it releases the swimming pool in a first position and covers it in a second position.
- the first position is spaced apart from the second position in the guiding direction.
- the border of the swimming pool is to be understood as the pool edge.
- the edge of the pool can be made of ceramics, natural stone, concrete, wood, WPC or paving stones.
- the distance from the cover element in a vertical direction to the edge of the pool usually remains constant.
- the cover element in the second position can be used to prevent impurities, for example leaves or insects, from getting into the water.
- the covering element located in the second position can serve as anti-fall protection, in particular for children, and in a version that can be walked on, as a terrace. If the cover element is in the first position, the swimming pool is released for use.
- the cover element In order to get from the first position to the second position or vice versa, the cover element is supported and guided by the guide section of the guide rail.
- the cover element can have rollers, for example, which can roll along the guide section in the guide direction.
- it In order to fasten the guide rail in a stationary manner, it is arranged on the edge of the pool by means of the connecting section.
- the connecting section has at least one fastening web for inserting the guide rail into an upwardly open fastening groove in the edge of the pool, the guide section in the fastening groove imported state protrudes upwards over the edge of the pool.
- the term upward is to be understood as meaning the upward direction, which leads from the edge of the pool to the cover element.
- the guide section thus protrudes in the vertical direction beyond the edge of the pool when inserted into the fastening groove.
- the fastening web also has the task of positioning and/or centering the guide rails, in particular during installation, in the fastening groove which is open at the top.
- the connecting section is directed towards the edge of the pool and thereby creates the stationary arrangement of the guide rail.
- the guide section is thus directed towards the cover element.
- the fastening web is inserted into the fastening groove, only the guide section protrudes upwards over the edge of the pool.
- the fastening web preferably extends completely in the fastening groove.
- the guide section thus extends above the edge of the pool. This simplifies the rolling of the rollers of the cover element along the guide section in the guide direction. In addition, this leads to the smallest possible disruptive contours caused by the guide rail on the edge of the pool, which reduces the risk of injury, for example from tripping. It is therefore particularly preferred that the guide section is the only element of the guide rail that has a height extension beyond the edge of the pool.
- the weight force in particular the dead weight of the cover element and the objects possibly located on it, is transmitted to the guide rail by the cover element.
- a transverse force generated by external influences can also act on the guide rail.
- Most of the weight and lateral force can be transferred from the connecting section to the edge of the pool and thus dissipated. This allows the guide rail to be fastened to the edge of the pool in a manner that is as capable of absorbing the various forces as possible.
- the maximum width of the guide section is preferably greater than the maximum width of the fastening web.
- the guide section preferably protrudes beyond the fastening web on both sides.
- the fastening web can thus be made relatively narrow, so that the fastening groove has to be produced with only little material removal in the pool edge.
- the guide section is designed to be wider and can therefore dissipate the forces of the swimming pool cover over a larger area.
- the connecting section has at least one, preferably planar, bearing surface for bearing the guide rail on the edge of the pool, with the fastening web projecting from the at least one bearing surface.
- the weight force can be largely dissipated from the at least one support surface over the edge of the pool.
- Most of the shear force can be transferred from the fastening bar to the fastening groove of the pool edge and thus dissipated.
- the connecting section Due to the proposed design of the connecting section, the moments introduced into the guide rail by the weight force and/or the transverse force are small. As a result, the guide rail can be designed with a high weight saving.
- the at least one bearing surface is designed to be flat. This allows the guide rail to rest evenly on the edge of the pool and thus allow the force to be applied homogeneously.
- the level support surface can prevent the support surface from protruding from the edge of the pool in the vertical direction. This can further reduce the risk of injury.
- An even bearing surface is to be understood as a bearing surface that is planar or non-curved.
- the at least one bearing surface span a support angle to the vertical direction or to a plane of symmetry of the guide rail, which is preferably less than or equal to 90°.
- this lies flat or flat on the edge of the pool, even if this is also designed to be flat and runs in a horizontal plane. In this way, the force can be introduced evenly into the edge of the pool via the contact surface lying flat on the edge of the pool.
- the support angle is less than 90°, a cavity is formed between the support surface and the edge of the pool.
- the support surface does not have to be flat.
- the cavity can be filled with an adhesive, for example, so that the support surface rests indirectly on the edge of the pool via the adhesive. If an adhesive is introduced into the fastening groove and the fastening web is then inserted, excess adhesive can, for example, get into the cavity and thus contribute to fastening the guide rail to the edge of the pool.
- the support angle is greater than 90° and the resulting cavity between the support surface and the edge of the pool is filled with adhesive or another joint compound.
- bearing surface is directly adjacent to the guide section and/or to the fastening web. A compact design of the guide rail can thus be ensured.
- the guide section is curved and forms an angle with the bearing surface which is less than or equal to 90°. In this way, the risk of injury can be further minimized, since the guide section then has a flatter configuration and thus protrudes less steeply from the edge of the pool.
- the connecting section has two bearing surfaces and the fastening web runs between the two bearing surfaces.
- the moment introduced by transverse forces can be supported by the bearing surfaces on both sides of the fastening web.
- the guide rail can be positioned in an optically more appealing way, since the fastening groove in the edge of the pool can be covered by the support surfaces.
- the weight force on both sides of the fastening bar is dissipated via the two bearing surfaces.
- the cross section of the guide rail is symmetrical to a plane of symmetry.
- the plane of symmetry expediently extends in the vertical direction.
- the cross section of the guide rail remains constant along the guide direction.
- simpler and/or more economical manufacture of the guide rail can be ensured.
- semi-finished products or standard parts can be used to manufacture the guide rails.
- the guide rail is designed as a solid profile. Since the guide rail is primarily subjected to pressure due to the weight of the cover element, the design as a solid profile means that the necessary installation space can be kept as small as possible and used efficiently. In addition, the design as a solid profile facilitates the manufacture of the guide rail.
- the guide section is curved, preferably convexly rounded and in particular has a part-circular contour. If the guide section is curved, the covering element is guided as smoothly as possible along the guide direction. A convex rounding of the guide section also ensures that no dirt and/or water collects on the guide rail. This ensures constant guidance at all times.
- the part-circular contour can minimize the risk of injury, since the guide section then has no sharp corners and edges that would protrude from the edge of the pool.
- the guide rail consists of a corrosion-free material, in particular aluminum and/or plastic.
- the water in the swimming pool can have a high chlorine content, which means there is a high risk of corrosion for metal materials.
- Corrosion can be avoided by using corrosion-free material, in particular aluminum or plastic.
- the guide rail consists of two different corrosion-free materials, in particular aluminum and plastic.
- the guide section can be made of plastic and, in particular for more rigid attachment, the connecting section can be made of aluminum.
- the invention also relates to a swimming pool cover with at least two guide rails, which are arranged on opposite pool edges of a swimming pool, and a cover element guided on the guide rails along a guide direction.
- the guide rails are designed according to the above description, with the features mentioned being able to be present individually or in any combination.
- the covering element has at least two, in particular four, rollers for supporting and moving the covering element along the guiding direction for each of the guide rails.
- the cover element can be moved, in particular rolled, with as little resistance as possible along the guide direction.
- each of the rollers has at least one contact section for contact with the respective guide section of the guide rails, the contact section being curved, preferably rounded in a concave manner.
- the cover element can thus be supported, guided and moved on the guide rails by the contact section.
- the cross section of the contact section is advantageously designed to correspond, in particular with a correspondingly negative contour, to the guide section of the guide rails. A movement of the cover element that is as uniform as possible can be ensured in this way.
- the opposing pool edges each have a fastening groove that is open at the top for inserting the fastening web and for fastening the respective guide rail. This creates easy positioning when installing the guide rails and a receptive attachment of the guide rails in the pool edges.
- an adhesive is introduced into each of the fastening grooves for fastening each of the guide rails, in particular by means of their bearing surfaces and/or fastening webs, to the respective edge of the pool. Fastening by means of an adhesive can ensure that the guide rails can be fastened to the edges of the pool in a receptive manner, which can also be implemented at low cost and with little effort.
- the invention relates to the use of a guide rail as described above for guiding a cover element of a swimming pool cover.
- the guide rail is introduced into an upwardly open fastening groove in a pool edge of the swimming pool to be covered, with the guide section of the guide rail, and preferably only this, protruding upwards over the pool edge when inserted into the fastening groove.
- the invention also relates to a method for attaching a guide rail according to the above description to a pool edge of a swimming pool.
- a fastening groove which is open at the top is created in a pool edge, preferably by means of milling.
- adhesive is introduced into this fastening groove.
- the guide rail is then inserted into the fastening groove by means of its fastening web and - if glue is used - glued there.
- the guide section of the guide rail protrudes upwards beyond the pool edge of the swimming pool.
- figure 1 shows a schematic cross-sectional representation of a portion of a swimming pool cover 1.
- This portion represents a pool edge 2 with a guide rail 3 and part of a swimming pool 4.
- at least two guide rails 3 according to the invention are on opposite pool edges 2 of the swimming pool 4 arranged.
- the swimming pool 4 can be filled with water which, in particular, has a high chlorine content.
- the guide rail 3 can be exposed to a very high risk of corrosion.
- it is made of a corrosion-free material, in particular aluminum and/or plastic.
- the pool edge 2 has an upwardly open fastening groove 5 for fastening the guide rail 3, which is milled into the pool edge 2, for example.
- the guide rail 3 in the exemplary embodiment shown has two bearing surfaces 6 for resting on the pool edge 2 and a fastening web 7 for insertion, positioning and/or fastening in the fastening groove 5 of the pool edge 2 .
- the bearing surfaces 6 and the fastening web 7 form a connecting section 8 of the guide rail 3 with the pool edge 2 .
- the connecting section 8 faces the pool edge 2 .
- the guide rail 3 is inserted or pressed into the fastening groove 5 by means of the fastening web 7 .
- An adhesive 9 for connecting the guide rail 3 to the pool edge 2 is placed in the fastening groove 5 .
- the adhesive 9 connects the fastening web 7 to the fastening groove 5.
- the adhesive 9 can only cover a partial area of the fastening groove 5 or alternatively fill the entire space between the fastening groove 5 and the fastening web 7.
- the bearing surfaces 6 are additionally glued to the pool edge 2 with the aid of the adhesive 9 .
- the bearing surfaces 6 are designed to be flat or planar. Since the pool edge 2 is also flat, the bearing surfaces 6 lie flat or areally on the pool edge 2 .
- the guide rail 3 has a guide section 10 opposite the connecting section 8 .
- the guide section 10 is thus turned away from the edge of the pool 2 and protrudes upwards beyond the edge of the pool 2 .
- a vertical direction HR which leads from the pool edge 2 to a cover element 11 , is to be understood upwards. Due to the flat contact of the bearing surfaces 6 on the edge of the pool 2 , the guide section 10 essentially directly adjoins the edge of the pool 2 when it is inserted into the fastening groove 5 .
- the cover element 11 is supported on the guide section 10 of the guide rail 3 and guided in a guide direction FR.
- the guide direction FR points into the plane of the page.
- the guide section 10 is convexly rounded and has a part-circular contour.
- the cover element 11 can assume a first position and a second position (as well as intermediate positions between the first and the second position). Im in the figure 1 illustrated case, the cover element 11 covers the swimming pool 4, is thus arranged in the second position.
- the two positions are in the Figures 3a and 3b shown and described in more detail.
- the cover element 11 In order to support and guide the cover element 11 with as little resistance as possible along the guide direction FR on the guide section 10 of the guide rail 3, the cover element 11 has on each of its opposite ones running along the guide rails Pages at least two rollers 12 on. As already described, the exemplary embodiment shown only shows a partial area, so that only one roller 12 is shown.
- the swimming pool cover 1 according to the invention has at least two, in particular four, rollers 12 .
- the roller 12 shown has a contact section 13 for contact with the guide section 10 of the guide rail 3 .
- the abutment section 13 is designed to match the guide section 10 and is accordingly concavely rounded in the present case. Due to the contact section 13, the cover element 11 can thus roll and be guided on the guide rail 3 with great smoothness.
- the guide rails 3 and the rollers 12 are designed symmetrically to a plane of symmetry 14 .
- the plane of symmetry 14 extends in the vertical direction HR.
- the cross section of the guide rails 3 is also constant along the guide direction FR.
- the guide rails 3 are preferably designed as full profiles.
- the roller 12 and thus the cover element 11 are drawn at a distance from the pool edge 2 and the guide rail 3 in the exemplary embodiment shown.
- the contact section 13 rests on the guide section 10 .
- figure 2 shows a schematic end view of the cross section of a guide rail 3.
- the guide rail 3 is here according to FIG figure 1 trained, but is in the figure 2 shown isolated for clarity.
- the guide rail 3 has the two bearing surfaces 6 and the fastening web 7 protruding between them, which together form the connecting section 8 .
- the guide section 10 is arranged.
- the guide rail 3 is symmetrical in cross section to the plane of symmetry 14 educated.
- the cross section of the guide rail 3 is also constant along the guide direction FR.
- the bearing surfaces 6 directly adjoin the guide section 10 and the fastening web 7 and connect them to one another.
- the guide section 10 more precisely: its tangent at the transition edge between the guide section 10 and the bearing surface 6—spans an angle 15 with each of the two bearing surfaces 6 that is less than or equal to 90°. In the exemplary embodiment shown, the angle 15 is less than 90°.
- the guide section 10 is designed to be relatively flat, as a result of which the risk of injury, in particular from tripping, is significantly reduced.
- the bearing surfaces 6 are similar to the embodiment of figure 1 just done. Each of the bearing surfaces 6 spans a bearing angle 16 to the plane of symmetry 14 or to the vertical direction HR, which is in figure 1 is shown on.
- the two support angles 16 are 90° in the exemplary embodiment shown, as a result of which the support surface 6 is designed to be level or planar, and on a likewise level pool edge 2, which in figure 1 is shown, can lie flat. It is also possible for the support angle 16 to be less than 90°, resulting in a cavity below the support surface 6 which can be filled with an adhesive, for example. In this case, the support surface 6 can also be curved, since a planar contact of the support surface 6 on the pool edge 2 is not realized.
- the Figures 3a and 3b each show a schematic plan view of a swimming pool cover 1 with a cover element 11 in the first and second position. The first position is spaced apart from the second position in the guide direction FR.

The present invention relates to a guide rail for a cover element of a swimming pool cover, with a guide section for supporting and guiding the cover element along a guide direction and with a connecting section opposite the guide section for connecting the guide rail to a pool edge running along a swimming pool. Furthermore, the invention relates to a swimming pool cover, a use of such a guide rail and a method for fastening such a guide rail.
Guide rails for a cover element of a swimming pool cover are known in the prior art in multiple designs.
The object of the present invention is to eliminate the disadvantages known from the prior art. The task is in particular to create a guide rail which improves attachment to the pool edges and/or ensures smoother running.
The object is achieved by a guide rail for a cover element of a swimming pool cover, a swimming pool cover, use of a guide rail and a method for fastening a guide rail with the features of the independent patent claims.
A guide rail for a cover element of a swimming pool cover is proposed, with a guide section for supporting and guiding the cover element along a guide direction and with a connecting section opposite the guide section Connecting the guide rail to a pool edge running along a swimming pool.
A cover element is to be understood here as an element which can cover or uncover the swimming pool as required. For this purpose, the cover element is designed in such a way that it releases the swimming pool in a first position and covers it in a second position. The first position is spaced apart from the second position in the guiding direction. The border of the swimming pool is to be understood as the pool edge. The edge of the pool can be made of ceramics, natural stone, concrete, wood, WPC or paving stones.
The distance from the cover element in a vertical direction to the edge of the pool usually remains constant. In the case of a swimming pool filled with water, the cover element in the second position can be used to prevent impurities, for example leaves or insects, from getting into the water. Likewise, the covering element located in the second position can serve as anti-fall protection, in particular for children, and in a version that can be walked on, as a terrace. If the cover element is in the first position, the swimming pool is released for use.
In order to get from the first position to the second position or vice versa, the cover element is supported and guided by the guide section of the guide rail. In this case, the cover element can have rollers, for example, which can roll along the guide section in the guide direction. In order to fasten the guide rail in a stationary manner, it is arranged on the edge of the pool by means of the connecting section.
According to the invention, the connecting section has at least one fastening web for inserting the guide rail into an upwardly open fastening groove in the edge of the pool, the guide section in the fastening groove imported state protrudes upwards over the edge of the pool. The term upward is to be understood as meaning the upward direction, which leads from the edge of the pool to the cover element. The guide section thus protrudes in the vertical direction beyond the edge of the pool when inserted into the fastening groove. The fastening web also has the task of positioning and/or centering the guide rails, in particular during installation, in the fastening groove which is open at the top. In this case, the connecting section is directed towards the edge of the pool and thereby creates the stationary arrangement of the guide rail. In order to guide and support the cover element, the guide section is thus directed towards the cover element.
If the fastening web is inserted into the fastening groove, only the guide section protrudes upwards over the edge of the pool. In the inserted state, the fastening web preferably extends completely in the fastening groove. The guide section thus extends above the edge of the pool.
Above all, the weight force, in particular the dead weight of the cover element and the objects possibly located on it, is transmitted to the guide rail by the cover element. In addition to the weight, a transverse force generated by external influences can also act on the guide rail. Most of the weight and lateral force can be transferred from the connecting section to the edge of the pool and thus dissipated. This allows the guide rail to be fastened to the edge of the pool in a manner that is as capable of absorbing the various forces as possible.
The maximum width of the guide section, viewed in cross section, is preferably greater than the maximum width of the fastening web. In this case, the guide section preferably protrudes beyond the fastening web on both sides. The fastening web can thus be made relatively narrow, so that the fastening groove has to be produced with only little material removal in the pool edge. The guide section, on the other hand, is designed to be wider and can therefore dissipate the forces of the swimming pool cover over a larger area.
It is advantageous if the connecting section has at least one, preferably planar, bearing surface for bearing the guide rail on the edge of the pool, with the fastening web projecting from the at least one bearing surface. In this way, the weight force can be largely dissipated from the at least one support surface over the edge of the pool. Most of the shear force can be transferred from the fastening bar to the fastening groove of the pool edge and thus dissipated. Due to the proposed design of the connecting section, the moments introduced into the guide rail by the weight force and/or the transverse force are small. As a result, the guide rail can be designed with a high weight saving.
It also has advantages if the at least one bearing surface is designed to be flat. This allows the guide rail to rest evenly on the edge of the pool and thus allow the force to be applied homogeneously. In addition to this, the level support surface can prevent the support surface from protruding from the edge of the pool in the vertical direction. This can further reduce the risk of injury.
An even bearing surface is to be understood as a bearing surface that is planar or non-curved. Here, the at least one bearing surface span a support angle to the vertical direction or to a plane of symmetry of the guide rail, which is preferably less than or equal to 90°. In the advantageous embodiment of a flat or planar support surface with a 90° support angle to the vertical direction, this lies flat or flat on the edge of the pool, even if this is also designed to be flat and runs in a horizontal plane. In this way, the force can be introduced evenly into the edge of the pool via the contact surface lying flat on the edge of the pool.
If the support angle is less than 90°, a cavity is formed between the support surface and the edge of the pool. In this case, the support surface does not have to be flat. The cavity can be filled with an adhesive, for example, so that the support surface rests indirectly on the edge of the pool via the adhesive. If an adhesive is introduced into the fastening groove and the fastening web is then inserted, excess adhesive can, for example, get into the cavity and thus contribute to fastening the guide rail to the edge of the pool. Embodiments are also possible in which the support angle is greater than 90° and the resulting cavity between the support surface and the edge of the pool is filled with adhesive or another joint compound.
It is also advantageous if the bearing surface is directly adjacent to the guide section and/or to the fastening web. A compact design of the guide rail can thus be ensured.
It is also advantageous if the guide section is curved and forms an angle with the bearing surface which is less than or equal to 90°. In this way, the risk of injury can be further minimized, since the guide section then has a flatter configuration and thus protrudes less steeply from the edge of the pool.
There are advantages if the connecting section has two bearing surfaces and the fastening web runs between the two bearing surfaces. As a result, the moment introduced by transverse forces can be supported by the bearing surfaces on both sides of the fastening web. In addition, the guide rail can be positioned in an optically more appealing way, since the fastening groove in the edge of the pool can be covered by the support surfaces. Furthermore, the weight force on both sides of the fastening bar is dissipated via the two bearing surfaces.
It is also advantageous if the cross section of the guide rail is symmetrical to a plane of symmetry. In this case, the plane of symmetry expediently extends in the vertical direction. As a result, a symmetrical absorption of the forces, in particular the weight forces and/or the transverse forces, can be ensured. In addition, it is not necessary to pay attention to which of the two supporting surfaces is located closer to the pool, especially during the assembly of the guide rail. Incorrect assembly of the guide rail can thus be avoided.
It is also advantageous if the cross section of the guide rail remains constant along the guide direction. As a result, simpler and/or more economical manufacture of the guide rail can be ensured. In addition, for example, semi-finished products or standard parts can be used to manufacture the guide rails.
It is also advantageous if the guide rail is designed as a solid profile. Since the guide rail is primarily subjected to pressure due to the weight of the cover element, the design as a solid profile means that the necessary installation space can be kept as small as possible and used efficiently. In addition, the design as a solid profile facilitates the manufacture of the guide rail.
Furthermore, it is advantageous if the guide section is curved, preferably convexly rounded and in particular has a part-circular contour. If the guide section is curved, the covering element is guided as smoothly as possible along the guide direction. A convex rounding of the guide section also ensures that no dirt and/or water collects on the guide rail. This ensures constant guidance at all times. In addition, the part-circular contour can minimize the risk of injury, since the guide section then has no sharp corners and edges that would protrude from the edge of the pool.
It is also advantageous if the guide rail consists of a corrosion-free material, in particular aluminum and/or plastic. The water in the swimming pool can have a high chlorine content, which means there is a high risk of corrosion for metal materials. There is also a risk of corrosion of some low-alloy steels, particularly due to the high chlorine content. Corrosion can be avoided by using corrosion-free material, in particular aluminum or plastic. It is also conceivable that the guide rail consists of two different corrosion-free materials, in particular aluminum and plastic. Thus, in particular for smooth-running guidance of the cover element, the guide section can be made of plastic and, in particular for more rigid attachment, the connecting section can be made of aluminum.
The invention also relates to a swimming pool cover with at least two guide rails, which are arranged on opposite pool edges of a swimming pool, and a cover element guided on the guide rails along a guide direction. The guide rails are designed according to the above description, with the features mentioned being able to be present individually or in any combination.
It is advantageous if the covering element has at least two, in particular four, rollers for supporting and moving the covering element along the guiding direction for each of the guide rails. As a result, the cover element can be moved, in particular rolled, with as little resistance as possible along the guide direction.
It is also advantageous if each of the rollers has at least one contact section for contact with the respective guide section of the guide rails, the contact section being curved, preferably rounded in a concave manner. The cover element can thus be supported, guided and moved on the guide rails by the contact section. The cross section of the contact section is advantageously designed to correspond, in particular with a correspondingly negative contour, to the guide section of the guide rails. A movement of the cover element that is as uniform as possible can be ensured in this way.
Furthermore, it is advantageous if the opposing pool edges each have a fastening groove that is open at the top for inserting the fastening web and for fastening the respective guide rail. This creates easy positioning when installing the guide rails and a receptive attachment of the guide rails in the pool edges.
It is also advantageous if an adhesive is introduced into each of the fastening grooves for fastening each of the guide rails, in particular by means of their bearing surfaces and/or fastening webs, to the respective edge of the pool. Fastening by means of an adhesive can ensure that the guide rails can be fastened to the edges of the pool in a receptive manner, which can also be implemented at low cost and with little effort.
Furthermore, the invention relates to the use of a guide rail as described above for guiding a cover element of a swimming pool cover. Here, the guide rail is introduced into an upwardly open fastening groove in a pool edge of the swimming pool to be covered, with the guide section of the guide rail, and preferably only this, protruding upwards over the pool edge when inserted into the fastening groove.
The invention also relates to a method for attaching a guide rail according to the above description to a pool edge of a swimming pool. In the method according to the invention, a fastening groove which is open at the top is created in a pool edge, preferably by means of milling. Optionally, adhesive is introduced into this fastening groove. The guide rail is then inserted into the fastening groove by means of its fastening web and - if glue is used - glued there. In this case, preferably exclusively, the guide section of the guide rail protrudes upwards beyond the pool edge of the swimming pool.
