  • Fig. 10 shows a variation of Fig. 9 , in which there is no ridge 54 provided in depression 37, but lip 52 adjacent wall 49 of locking element 46 (the lip furthest away from the centre of panel 1) is pre-shaped such that in the final joined position lip 52 is bent away (see arrow) from its resting position (shown in dashed lines) so that it is positioned against wall 49 with tension to strengthen the vertical lock and (water) tightness of the joint.
  • the width of protrusion 44 is larger than that of depression 37, at least at one corresponding level, so that the width of the protrusion 44 must be reduced elastically by bending a part (i.e. lip 52) to enter its joined position in the depression 37.
  • lip 52 is more slender than lip 53 which is more massive, especially at its upper end, thereby increasing the resistance to bending.
  • Surface 50 of lip 52 preferably does not extend beyond surface 42 in horizontal direction, i.e. remains behind this surface 42, so that during a downward movement of this panel the lip will not engage with upper surface 9 of the other panel already laid. If there is a small horizontal distance between surface 42 and extreme part of surface 50, it will not engage upper surface 9 even if the adjacent sides of panel 1 rae not exactly square.
  • Fig. 11 shows another variation in which the downward protrusion 44 of the male joining member 11 as a whole is formed as a bendable lip 52 which is tensioned in its final joined position against wall 49 of locking element.
  • This is the result of the fact that the distance between the front face of lip 52 and vertical plane VP is smaller than the distance between wall 49 and VP at the corresponding level, so that lip 52 must be deformed to equal the distance.
  • Depression 37 is large enough to take of the bending deformation of lip 52, but horizontally supports the upper side of lip 52 to urge the panels in engagement with each other near their upper sides at vertical plane VP.
  • the walls 39 and/or 49 of the female joining member 12 are deformable, i.e. bendable to provide the same kind of tension between the male and female joining members 11, 12.

Claims (14)

  1. Assemblage de panneaux de sol qui comprend des panneaux de sol en forme de feuilles (1-4), les panneaux de sol en question étant équipés d'un certain nombre de bords (5-8) ; dans lequel un bord (7) d'un premier panneau (1) et un autre bord (8) d'un deuxième panneau (2) sont munis d'éléments de jonction (13, 14) qui permettent d'obtenir une jonction du premier et du deuxième bord des deux panneaux (1, 2) d'une manière telle que l'on amène ces derniers en contact l'un avec l'autre, de façon à amener les côtés supérieurs (9) des deux panneaux de manière substantielle en alignement l'un avec l'autre et à les faire se rencontrer à un plan vertical VP, le premier bord (7) étant muni d'un élément de jonction mâle (17) et le deuxième bord (8) d'un élément de jonction femelle (18) qui est conçu pour y recevoir l'élément de jonction mâle (17), d'une manière telle que l'on verrouille les panneaux aux bords adjacents au moins dans une direction qui est perpendiculaire au côté supérieur et dans une direction qui est parallèle au côté supérieur (9), mais qui est perpendiculaire par rapport aux premier et deuxième bords adjacents dans leur position jointe, caractérisé en ce que les éléments de jonction mâle et femelle (17, 18) sont conçus l'un par rapport à l'autre d'une manière telle qu'une surface (24) de l'élément de jonction mâle (17) est pressée contre une surface (25) de l'élément de jonction femelle (18) dans une zone de contact (26), ladite zone de contact possédant une composante horizontale et étant la première de ce type, plus précisément la première, entre des surfaces essentiellement horizontales ou des surfaces qui possèdent une composante horizontale, que rencontre l'eau lorsque celle-ci pénètre entre les éléments de jonction à partir du plan vertical VP.
  2. Assemblage de panneaux de sol selon la revendication 1, dans lequel les panneaux de sol en forme de feuilles (1-4) sont réalisés en un matériau relativement résilient.
  3. Assemblage de panneaux de sol selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel les éléments de jonction (13, 14) représentent des éléments de jonction horizontaux.
  4. Assemblage de panneaux de sol selon la revendication 3, dans lequel l'élément de jonction (13) du premier bord (7) est équipé d'une languette (17) et l'élément de jonction (14) du deuxième bord (8) est équipé d'une rainure (18) qui est conçue pour y recevoir la languette (17) d'une manière telle que l'on verrouille les panneaux aux bords adjacents (7, 8) au moins dans une direction qui est perpendiculaire au côté supérieur et dans une direction qui est parallèle au côté supérieur, mais qui est perpendiculaire aux premier et deuxième bords adjacents (7, 8) dans leur position jointe.
  5. Assemblage de panneaux de sol selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes 1 à 4, dans lequel les éléments de jonction (13, 14) permettent d'obtenir une jonction des bords (7, 8) des deux panneaux d'une manière telle que l'on amène ces derniers en contact l'un avec l'autre, de préférence dans une position relativement inclinée des panneaux (1, 2) et que l'on fait ensuite tourner lesdits panneaux l'un par rapport à l'autre, de façon à amener les côtés supérieurs (9) des deux panneaux (1, 2) de manière substantielle en alignement l'un avec l'autre et à les faire se rencontrer à un plan vertical VP.
  6. Assemblage de panneaux de sol selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel le panneau de sol comprend un troisième bord (5) et un quatrième bord (6) ; dans lequel le troisième bord (5) d'un premier panneau (1) et un quatrième bord (6) d'un troisième panneau (3) sont équipés d'éléments de jonction (11, 12) qui permettent d'obtenir une jonction du troisième et du quatrième bord (5, 6) du premier et du troisième panneau (1, 3), d'une manière telle que l'on amène les panneaux en question en contact l'un avec l'autre, de façon à amener les côtés supérieurs (9) des deux panneaux (1, 3) de manière substantielle en alignement l'un avec l'autre et à les faire se rencontrer à un plan vertical VP, le troisième bord (5) étant équipé d'un d'élément de jonction mâle (11) et le quatrième bord (6) d'un élément de jonction femelle (12) qui est conçu pour y recevoir l'élément de jonction mâle (11) du troisième bord (5), d'une manière telle que l'on verrouille les panneaux aux bords adjacents (5, 6) au moins dans une direction qui est perpendiculaire au côté supérieur (9), et dans une direction qui est parallèle au bord supérieur (9), mais qui est perpendiculaire par rapport aux troisième et quatrième bords adjacents (5, 6) dans leur position jointe ; dans lequel les éléments de jonction mâle et femelle (11, 12) du troisième et du quatrième bord (5, 6) sont conçus l'un par rapport à l'autre d'une manière telle qu'une surface (50) de l'élément de jonction mâle (11) du troisième bord est pressée contre une surface (49) de l'élément de jonction femelle (12) du quatrième bord (6) dans une zone de contact, ladite zone de contact possédant une composante horizontale et étant la première de ce type que rencontre l'eau lorsque celle-ci pénètre entre les éléments de jonction (11, 12) du troisième et quatrième bord (5, 6) à partir du plan vertical VP.
  7. Assemblage de panneaux de sol selon la revendication 6, dans lequel les éléments de jonction du troisième bord (5) et du quatrième bord (6) représentent des éléments de jonction verticaux qui sont joints respectivement l'un à l'autre par l'intermédiaire d'un mouvement principalement vertical des bords de panneaux respectifs l'un vers l'autre.
  8. Assemblage de panneaux de sol selon la revendication 7, dans lequel les éléments de verrouillage comprennent une protrusion horizontale (46) sur le troisième ou le quatrième bord (56) qui fait saillie dans la direction du quatrième ou du troisième bord et qui pénètre dans un évidement (48) sur l'autre bord choisi parmi le troisième ou le quatrième bord.
  9. Assemblage de panneaux de sol selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes 7 à 8, dans lequel au moins un des éléments de jonction verticaux est déformable, par exemple de façon à pouvoir plier à des fins de coopération avec l'autre membre choisi parmi les membres de jonction verticaux mâle et femelle dans le but de créer une tension entre dans la position jointe.
  10. Assemblage de panneaux de sol selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes 6 à 8, dans lequel les éléments de jonction du premier et du deuxième bord (7, 8) de chaque panneau permettent d'obtenir une jonction du premier et du deuxième bord de deux panneaux d'une manière telle que l'on amène le premier et le deuxième bord (7, 8) en contact l'un avec l'autre dans une position relativement inclinée des panneaux et en que l'on fait ensuite tourner les panneaux en question l'un par rapport à l'autre de façon à amener les côtés supérieurs (9) des deux panneaux de manière substantielle en alignement l'un avec l'autre, de façon également à mettre en contact les éléments de jonction verticaux du troisième et du quatrième bord (5, 6) du panneau incliné et ceux d'un panneau adjacent.
  11. Assemblage de panneaux de sol selon la revendication 6, dans lequel les éléments de jonction du troisième bord (5) et du quatrième bord (6) représentent des éléments de jonction horizontaux.
  12. Assemblage de panneaux de sol selon la revendication 11, dans lequel les éléments de jonction du troisième bord (5) et du quatrième bord (6) permettent d'obtenir une jonction du troisième et du quatrième bord du premier et du troisième panneau d'une manière telle que l'on amène ces derniers en contact l'un avec l'autre, de préférence dans une position relativement inclinée des panneaux, et que l'on fait ensuite tourner les panneaux en question l'un par rapport à l'autre, de façon à amener les côtés supérieurs (9) des deux panneaux de manière substantielle en alignement l'un avec l'autre et à les faire se rencontrer à un plan vertical VP.
  13. Assemblage de panneaux de sol selon l'une quelconque des revendications 11 à 12, dans lequel l'élément de jonction du troisième bord (5) est équipé d'une languette et l'élément de jonction du quatrième bord (6) est équipé d'une rainure qui est conçue pour y recevoir la languette d'une manière telle que l'on verrouille les panneaux aux bords adjacents au moins dans une direction qui est perpendiculaire au bord supérieur (9) et dans une direction qui est parallèle au bord supérieur, mais qui est perpendiculaire aux troisième et quatrième bords adjacents dans leur position jointe.
  14. Assemblage de panneaux de sol selon la revendication 1 ou 2, dans lequel les éléments de jonction représentent des éléments de jonction verticaux qui sont joints l'un à l'autre par l'intermédiaire d'un mouvement principalement vertical des bords de panneaux respectifs l'un vers l'autre.
