Definitions

  • the invention relates to a fire-retardant bag for holding inflammable devices or energy storage devices, in particular lithium-ion batteries, according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • lithium batteries have proven to be particularly advantageous because they have a high energy density and specific energy, a high cell voltage and low self-discharge and can be used in a wide temperature range.
  • lithium-ion accumulators which are rechargeable, are also used to a large extent. In the following, both types are referred to as batteries.
  • Lithium batteries may therefore e.g. are not transported in checked baggage, but must be carried by passengers in hand luggage.
  • EP2471125B1 describes a container for holding an energy store and for safeguarding in the event of an exothermic process, in which the wall of the container is formed from a layer structure which contains a first layer made of woven ceramic material and a second layer made of a material containing oxidized polyacrylonitrile fibers having. When using ceramic materials, however, the risk of cancer is classified as increased.
  • the invention is based on the object of specifying a fire-retardant bag for holding inflammable devices or energy storage devices, in particular lithium batteries or lithium ion accumulators, which is simple in design, has a low weight and a small volume, which is suitable for exothermic temperatures can be used above 800 ° C and which meets the special requirements of the aviation industry in both civil and military areas.
  • This object is achieved by the invention specified in claim 1. Further features of the invention are specified in the subclaims.
