Cette dernière est fabriquée entièrement à partir d'un métal dur, dont la densité est supérieure à 10 g/cm3. Cela permet d'obtenir un outil hélicoïdal intérieur dont la durée de vie, pour une puissance d'usinage donnée, est accrue.
