    wherein rod-shaped objects are subjected to a quality check (5) after being singulated, in that unwanted rod-shaped objects, in particular rod-shaped objects with a negative result of the quality check (5), are separated out prior to stacks (11) being formed, wherein rod-shaped objects are fed in below a lowermost rod-shaped object when forming stacks (11) of rod-shaped objects, and wherein stacks (11) are inserted into a compartment (10), in particular into a compartment (10) of a slat laying unit (9).
  2. Method according to claim 1, characterized in that unwanted rod-shaped objects are deflected out of the movement path of the rod-shaped objects and are separated out, in particular in the downward direction, prior to stacks (11) being formed.
  3. Method according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that rod-shaped objects are conveyed up by means of a conveyor device (3), slide on a slideway (12) to a singulating device (4), and from the singulating device (4) are transferred, one after the other and in singulated form, onto a further conveyor device (6) .
  4. Plant (1) for carrying out the method according to any one of claims 1 to 3, comprising
    - a first conveyor device (3) for conveying disordered rod-shaped objects,
    characterized in that the plant comprises:
    - a singulating device (4),
    - a device (7) for forming stacks (11) of rod-shaped objects, and
    - at least one slat gripper (8) for transferring stacks (11), wherein the singulating device (4) has a drum (13), wherein the drum (13) has, in its outer surface, depressions (14) for a rod-shaped object in each case, wherein the drum (13) is assigned a rotary drive, wherein a conveyor device (6) for singulated rod-shaped objects is provided downstream of the singulating device (4), wherein a device (5) for checking the quality of rod-shaped objects is provided downstream of the singulating device (4), wherein an opening is provided in the conveyor device (6) for singulated rod-shaped objects, wherein the opening is assigned a reject flap (16), mounted such as to be pivotable upwards, or a displaceably mounted cover, wherein the device (7) for forming stacks has a shaft (18), wherein an opening (19) for feeding rod-shaped objects into the shaft (18) is provided at the bottom end of the shaft (18), and wherein at least one compartment (10) for receiving a stack (11) is provided.
  5. Plant according to claim 4, characterized in that the device (5) for checking the quality has at least one camera (15).
  6. Plant according to claim 4 or 5, characterized in that a sliding surface (17) for rod-shaped objects that have been separated out is provided below the reject flap (16).
  7. Plant according to any one of claims 4 to 6, characterized in that the shaft (18) of the device (7) for forming stacks (11) is assigned an elevating device for elevating at least one rod-shaped object located in the shaft (18).
  8. Plant according to claim 7, characterized in that the shaft (18) is assigned a holding device for immobilizing at least one rod-shaped object in the elevated position.
  9. Plant according to any one of claims 4 to 8, characterized in that two lines are provided, each comprising a first conveyor device (3), a singulating device (4) and a device (7) for forming stacks (11) of rod-shaped objects, and in that the lines are assigned a slat gripper (8), which serves one line or the other.
