Description

The present invention relates to a profile system comprising elongated, identically designed tile end profiles with a constant, essentially L-shaped cross section, which comprises a fastening leg forming a bearing surface and provided with through openings for attachment to a substrate and a limiting leg adjoining this essentially perpendicularly, wherein the outer longitudinal side of the delimiting leg facing away from the fastening leg and the upper side of the delimiting leg form visible surfaces, the inner long side of the delimiting leg facing towards the fastening leg forms a tile contact surface and the front sides of the delimiting leg each form a contact surface provided with a receiving opening for receiving a connecting element. Such profiles are, for example, from DE 298 09 789 U1 known.

Tile edging profiles of the type mentioned above are used to finish tile coverings laid in thin-bed mortar at the end of the covering or in the joint area of tile coverings that meet one another. They form a visual finish to the tile coverings. In addition, they protect the front sides of the tiles from damage. In the context of the present application, the term “tiles” is understood as a generic term for slab-like covering material made of ceramic, natural stone or artificial stone. The term "thin bed mortar" defines any type of adhesive and/or tile adhesive that can be used to lay tiles using the so-called thin bed method.

When laying a tile border profile, the fastening leg between a tile and the substrate is embedded in a thin-bed mortar embedded, which is used to fasten the tile, the thin-bed mortar penetrating the through-openings of the fastening leg. In this way, the tile border profile is held securely to the substrate after the thin-bed mortar has hardened. The delimiting leg, whose width is adapted to the thickness of the tiles, delimits and covers the front sides of the adjacent tiles. It is positioned in such a way that a joint of the desired width remains between it and the front sides of the adjoining tiles, which can be subsequently filled with joint mortar.

Tile finishing profiles of the type mentioned at the outset made as extruded profiles, which consist of a fastening leg and a limiting leg with different material thicknesses, are sold, for example, by Schlueter-Systems KG under the product names “Schlueter-SCHIENE” or “Schlueter-Jolly”.

Tile end profiles are basically easy to process. However, problems arise when laying tile border profiles in the area of external corners where three room surfaces meet. Here, three tile end profiles have to be mitered and then laid next to one another, which in most cases leads to an optically unconvincing work result, even with good craftsmanship. KR 2017 0137351 A discloses a corner connecting element for connecting three profiles in the area of an outside corner.

Proceeding from this state of the art, it is an object of the present invention to create an alternative profile system of the type mentioned at the outset.

In order to solve this problem, the present invention creates a profile system comprising elongated, identically designed tile end profiles constant, essentially L-shaped cross-section, which comprises a fastening limb forming a bearing surface and provided with through openings for attachment to a substrate and a delimiting limb adjoining this essentially perpendicularly, the outer delimiting limb long side facing away from the fastening limb and the delimiting limb upper side forming visible surfaces, the inner long side of the delimiting limb facing the fastening limb forms a tile contact surface and the front sides of the delimiting limb each form a contact surface provided with a receiving opening for receiving a connecting element; at least one corner connector, which is designed to optically connect the front sides of the limiting limbs of three tile end profiles aligned perpendicular to one another, whose fastening limbs are mitered, comprising an outer corner connector main side, which forms a visible surface, an opposite inner corner connector main side, which preferably forms a tile contact surface , two adjacently arranged corner connector faces, each of which forms a contact surface provided with a receiving recess for receiving a connecting element, and two further corner connector faces which form visible edges, the contours of the outer corner connector main side, the corner connector faces forming the visible surfaces and the corner connector faces and the corner connector main side connecting these to one another Corner area in such a way to the respective contours of the outer boundary sc Long sides of the handles and the upper sides of the limiting legs of the three tile end profiles connected to one another by a corner connecting piece are adapted so that they continue flush with them when installed; and at least two pin-like connecting elements, which are designed to insert a free end into the receiving opening of a tile end profile and to be inserted with the other free end into the receiving recess of a corner fitting.

When installing three tile end profiles in the area of an outwardly protruding room corner, which is formed by three room surfaces extending perpendicularly to one another, the fastening legs of the tile end profiles are mitred in a first step at the butt end. Then, in a second step, two of the three tile end profiles are connected to one another via the corner connecting piece using the two connecting elements in such a way that the corresponding limiting leg front sides are flush with the corner connecting piece front sides forming the contact surfaces, and fixed using a thin-bed mortar along the edges of the associated room surfaces. Each connecting element is arranged in such a way that it is accommodated both in a receiving opening of a tile end profile and in one of the two receiving recesses of the corner connecting piece. The intermediate result achieved after the second step has been carried out are two tile end profiles which are connected to one another via the corner connecting piece and are attached to the associated room surfaces, the outer longitudinal sides of the limiting limbs of which are positioned flush with the outer main surface of the corner connecting piece and the top sides of the limiting limbs are positioned flush with the associated end face of the corner connecting piece. In a subsequent third step, the third tile end profile is positioned in such a way that it rests against the inner main side of the corner connector and its outer limiting leg long side is flush with the adjacent corner connector end face, whereupon the second tile end profile is also attached using thin-bed mortar along the edge of the associated room area.

An essential advantage of the profile system according to the invention is that optically very attractive joint areas of three tile end profiles can be produced quickly, easily and inexpensively.

According to one embodiment of the present invention, the tile end profile is made in one piece, in particular made of metal, for example aluminum or stainless steel, or made of plastic.

The tile end profiles are advantageously designed as extruded profiles or as bent profiles.

The receiving openings preferably have a substantially round shape, in particular the shape of a circular arc open on one side, or are at least partially designed in the shape of an arc or a circular arc, which leads to a simple structure of the delimiting leg.

Advantageously, the underside of the fastening leg projects downwards in relation to a lower edge of the outer long side of the delimiting leg, as a result of which a lower grout receiving space for forming a joint with a predetermined visible joint width is formed in the lower region of the delimiting leg, it being possible for the grout receiving space to be provided with at least one undercut. Thanks to such a joint, a visually very attractive appearance is achieved. The joint mortar can dig into an undercut. If the tile end profile is produced as a bent profile, the fastening leg and the limiting leg can be connected to one another via a transition leg in such a way that the underside of the fastening leg projects downwards relative to a lower edge of the outer longitudinal side of the limiting leg. Undercuts can then by themselves be realized through the transition leg extending through slots or through-openings.

Alternatively or additionally, the contact surface formed by the inner longitudinal side of the delimiting leg advantageously protrudes inwards in relation to an inward-pointing edge of the upper side of the delimiting leg, as a result of which an upper joint mortar receiving space for forming a joint with a predetermined visible joint width is formed in the upper region of the delimiting leg, the joint mortar receiving space having an undercut is provided.

The visible joint widths preferably correspond to one another, which leads to a very uniform appearance.

According to one embodiment of the present invention, each corner connecting piece is designed in such a way that when two tile end profiles are installed, the visible joints defined by their delimiting legs are continued through the corner connecting piece without interruption and in particular with a constant joint width, which also creates a very attractive appearance. To continue the lower visible joint, for example, the corner area of the outer corner connecting piece main surface between the two contact surfaces forming corner connecting piece end faces can be provided with a recess whose edge is flush with the respective lower edge of the outer limiting leg long sides. To continue the upper visible joint, the inner corner connecting piece main surface in the corner region between the two corner connecting piece end faces forming contact surfaces can be formed by a substantially cuboid projection which preferably terminates flush with the bottom of the upper joint mortar receiving space.

Preferably, the corner connectors are made of the same material as the tile finishing profiles, giving a uniform appearance.

The connecting elements are advantageously designed as slotted hollow pins, as a result of which a firm hold is achieved as soon as they are inserted into the associated receiving openings and receiving recesses.

Die Verbindungselemente sind bevorzugt aus Federstahl hergestellt. The connecting elements are preferably made of spring steel.

The tile end profiles 2 are used to finish tile coverings laid in thin-bed mortar at the end of the covering or in the joint area of tile coverings that meet. They form a visual finish to the tile coverings. In addition, they protect the end faces of the tiles from damage. In the present case, the tile end profiles 2 are each formed in one piece as extruded profiles, for example in extruded profiles of two or three meters each, and can be shortened to the desired length. The tile end profiles 2 are made of metal, for example aluminum or stainless steel. Alternatively, they can also be made of plastic. Each tile end profile shows how it can be seen from the Figures 3 to 8 shows a constant, substantially L-shaped cross section, which consists of a mounting leg 5 and a perpendicular to this bound limiting leg 6 composed. The fastening leg 5 forms a bearing surface 7, which serves to fix the tile end profile 2 to a substrate. The fastening leg 5 is provided with through openings 8 which are arranged at regular intervals along the length of the fastening leg 5 . In the present case, the end faces 12 of the limiting legs are provided with a receiving opening 13 in the lower half, which has an essentially round shape, in the present case the shape of a circular arc open on one side. The underside of the fastening leg 5 projects downwards relative to a lower edge of the outer longitudinal side 9 of the delimiting leg, whereby a lower grout receiving space 14 for forming a joint with a predetermined visible joint width B is formed in the lower region of the delimiting leg 6 . The joint mortar receiving space 14 is provided with an undercut 15 for clamping the joint mortar. The contact surface formed by the inner long side of the delimiting leg 11 protrudes inward relative to an inward-pointing edge of the upper side of the delimiting leg 10, as a result of which an upper grout receiving space 16 for forming a joint with a predetermined visible joint width B is formed in the upper region of the delimiting leg 6. The upper grout receiving space 16 is with a Provide undercut 17, which is used to clamp the grout. The joint widths B of the lower joint mortar receiving space 14 and the upper joint mortar receiving space 16 correspond to one another in order to achieve as uniform an appearance as possible in the assembled state.

That in the Figures 9 to 12 The corner connecting piece 3 shown on an enlarged scale is designed to optically connect the end faces 12 of the delimiting limbs of three tile end profiles 2 aligned perpendicular to one another, the fastening limbs 5 of which are mitred in the joint area, as is shown in figure 1 is shown. The corner connector 3 comprises an outer corner connector main side 18, an opposite inner corner connector main side 19 and four corner connector end faces 20, 21, 22 and 23. The contours of the outer corner connector main side 18, the corner connector end faces 21 and 23 forming the visible surfaces and the corner area connecting these corner connector end faces 22 and 23 and the outer corner connector main side 18 are adapted to the respective contours of the outer delimiting leg long sides 9 and the delimiting leg top sides 10 connected by a corner connecting piece 3 connected tile end profiles 2 adjusted so that they continue flush when mounted. In the present case, the receiving depressions 24 are blind holes with a circular cross-section, the diameter of which corresponds to the diameter of the receiving openings 13 in the tile end profiles 2 . Each corner connector 3 is designed such that in the assembled state of two tile end profiles 2 the visible joints defined by the delimiting leg 6 with the width B are continued through the corner connecting piece 3 without interruption. To continue the visible joint of the lower joint mortar receiving space 14, the corner area of the outer corner connector main side 18 between the two corner connector end faces 20 and 21 forming contact surfaces is provided with a recess 25, which is designed as a cuboid opening, the edge of the recess 25 being flush with the lower edge of the respective outer limiting leg long sides 9 of the tile end profiles 2 connects. To continue the visible joint of the upper joint mortar receiving space 16, the inner corner connecting piece main side 19 is formed in the corner area between the two corner connecting piece end faces 20 and 21 forming contact surfaces by a substantially cuboid projection 26, which in the present case terminates flush with the bottom of the upper jointing mortar receiving space 16. The corner connector 3 is preferably made of the same material as the tile end profiles 2, resulting in a uniform appearance when assembled.

The connecting elements 4 are preferably designed as slotted hollow pins made of spring steel. The outer diameter of the hollow pins is selected in such a way that the hollow pins can be inserted both into the receiving openings 13 and into the receiving recesses 24 and are held there in a detachable manner with pretension.

Of course, it is also possible to connect two further tile end profiles 2 to a tile end profile 2 using two corner connectors 3 and four connecting elements 4, as shown in figure 14 is indicated.

Das Eckverbindungsstück 3 entspricht grundsätzlich dem in den Figuren 9 bis 13 dargestellten Eckverbindungsstück 3, wobei Form und Abmessungen des Eckverbindungsstücks 3 entsprechend an Form und Abmessungen der Stirnseite des Begrenzungsschenkels 6 des Fliesenabschlussprofils 2 angepasst sind.the Figures 15 and 16 show a tile edging profile 2 according to a second embodiment of the present invention, which is used analogously to the previously described tile edging profile to finish tile coverings laid in thin-bed mortar at the end of the covering or in the joint area of tile coverings that meet one another. On the one hand, the tile end profile 2 forms a visual finish to the tile covering and, on the other hand, it protects the end faces of the tiles from damage. In the present case, the tiling end profile 2 is designed as a bent profile, ie bent from a metal sheet, wherein the metal sheet can be made of aluminum or stainless steel, for example. Similar to the previously described tile edging profile 2, the tile edging profile 2 has a constant, essentially L-shaped cross section, which is composed of a fastening limb 5 and a limiting limb 6 connected perpendicularly to this. The fastening leg 5 forms a bearing surface 7 and is provided with through openings 8 which are arranged at regular intervals along the length of the fastening leg 5 . The limiting leg comprises an outer longitudinal side 9 of the limiting leg facing away from the fastening leg, an upper side of the limiting leg 10, an inner longitudinal side of the limiting leg 11 arranged opposite the outer longitudinal side of the limiting leg 9 and two end faces of the limiting leg 12, with the upper side of the limiting leg 10 being formed by a bending region in which the starting sheet metal is bent by 180° in the present case is. The outer delimiting leg longitudinal side 9 and the delimiting leg upper side 10 form visible surfaces in the installed state of the tile end profile 2, the inner delimiting leg longitudinal side 11 forms a tile contact surface and the limiting leg end faces 12 each contact surfaces. The limiting leg end faces 12 are provided with a receiving opening 13, which is formed by the free end portion of the inner limiting leg longitudinal side 11 is bent in a semicircle such that the free end of the inner Limiting leg longitudinal side 11 to the outer limiting leg longitudinal side 9 has. In the present case, the fastening leg 5 and the delimiting leg 6 are connected to one another by a transition leg 27 in such a way that the underside of the fastening leg 5 projects downwards in relation to a lower edge of the outer long side of the delimiting leg 9, as a result of which in the lower region of the delimiting leg 6 there is a lower joint mortar receiving space 14 along the transition leg 27 is formed to form a joint with a predetermined visible joint width B. The joint widths B of the lower joint mortar receiving space 14 and the upper joint mortar receiving space 16 correspond to one another in the present case in order to achieve as uniform an appearance as possible in the assembled state. Similar to the receiving opening 13 of the previously described tile end profile 2 , the receiving opening 13 serves to clamp a connecting element 4 designed in particular as a pin in order to connect the tile end profile 2 either to another tile end profile 2 or to a corner connecting piece 3 . The corner connector 3 basically corresponds to that in the Figures 9 to 13 Corner connector 3 shown, the shape and dimensions of the corner connector 3 are adapted to the shape and dimensions of the end face of the limiting leg 6 of the tile end profile 2 accordingly.

Diese Schlitze 28 dienen dazu, in den unteren Fugenmörtelaufnahmeraum 14 eingebrachten Fugenmörtel aufzunehmen, so dass sich dieser an der Innenseite des Übergangsschenkels 27 verklammern kann.the Figures 17 to 18 show a tile end profile 2 according to a third embodiment of the present invention, which is essentially analogous to the tile end profile 2 according to the second embodiment of the present invention. The only difference is that the transition leg 27 is provided with elongated slots 28 extending through the transition leg 27 . These slits 28 serve to accommodate the jointing mortar introduced into the lower jointing mortar receiving space 14 so that it can clamp on the inside of the transition leg 27 .

Die Figuren 20 bis 21 zeigen ein Fliesenabschlussprofil 2 gemäß einer dritten Ausführungsform, das sich allein dahingehend von dem Fliesenabschlussprofil 2 gemäß der dritten Ausführungsform unterscheidet, dass anstelle von Schlitzen 28 runde Durchgangsöffnungen 29 im Übergangsschenkel 27 vorgesehen sind.the Figures 20 to 21 show a tile end profile 2 according to a third embodiment, which differs from the tile end profile 2 according to the third embodiment only in that instead of slots 28 round through openings 29 are provided in the transition leg 27.

Jedoch ist aufgrund des fehlenden unteren Fugenmörtelraums 14 keine Aussparung 25 vorgesehen.the Figures 23 and 24 show a tile end profile 2 according to a fifth embodiment of the present invention, which essentially corresponds to the tile end profile 2 according to the second embodiment. A first difference is that no transitional leg 27 is provided between the fastening leg 5 and the limiting leg 6 . Rather, the fastening leg 5 and the limiting leg 6 merge directly into one another and are arranged at right angles to one another. Accordingly, the in the Figures 23 and 24 illustrated tile end profile no lower grout space 14. A further difference is that the free end section of the inner longitudinal side 11 of the delimiting leg is not bent in a semicircular manner. In the present case, the free end section of the inner longitudinal side of the delimiting leg 11 is initially bent obliquely outwards away from the outer longitudinal side of the delimiting leg 9 in the direction of the fastening leg 5 and then again downwards in the direction of the fastening leg 5 essentially perpendicularly thereto in order to form the receiving opening 13, which in the present case has a pentagonal cross section having. That 3 corner connector for the in the Figures 23 and 24 Tile end profile 2 shown basically corresponds to that in the Figures 9 to 13 Corner connector 3 shown, the shape and dimensions of the corner connector 3 are adapted to the shape and dimensions of the end face of the limiting leg 6 of the tile end profile 2 accordingly. However, due to the lack of a lower grout space 14, no recess 25 is provided.

Entsprechend weist das in den Figuren 25 und 26 dargestellte Fliesenabschlussprofil keinen unteren Fugenmörtelraum 14 auf und das zugehörige Eckverbindungsstück 3 ist ohne Aussparung 25 ausgebildet.the Figures 25 and 26 show a tile edging profile 2 according to a sixth embodiment of the present invention, which essentially corresponds to the tile edging profile 2 according to the second embodiment of the present invention. The only difference is that the tile edging profile 2 according to the sixth embodiment has no transition leg 27 . Rather, the fastening leg 5 and the delimiting leg 6 merge directly into one another and in the present case extend perpendicularly to one another. Accordingly, the in the Figures 25 and 26 shown tile end profile no lower grout space 14 and the associated corner connector 3 is formed without a recess 25.

Zum anderen wird auch ein relatives Verdrehen der miteinander verbundenen Komponenten unterbunden.the Figures 27 and 28 show a tile edging profile 2 according to a seventh embodiment of the present invention, which essentially corresponds to the tile edging profile 2 according to the first embodiment of the present invention. The only difference is that the limit leg face 12 is provided with two receiving openings 13 which are positioned spaced from each other. Correspondingly, an associated corner connecting piece is also provided with two correspondingly positioned receiving recesses 24 on the corresponding corner connecting piece end faces 20 . Correspondingly, tile end profiles 2 can be connected to one another or to corner connectors 3, respectively attach two fasteners 4 to each other. On the one hand, a more stable attachment is achieved in this way. On the other hand, relative twisting of the components connected to one another is also prevented.

It should be noted that the above-described embodiments of profile systems according to the invention are not to be understood as limiting. On the contrary, modifications are possible without departing from the scope of protection as defined by the appended claims.
