- the paving stones 1 and 7 have a circumferential chain of strip-shaped composite sections 4 on their side surfaces, while the paving stone 2 has 2 partial chains 6 of such composite sections on its side surface.
- 6 empty areas of the side surface are provided between the partial chains, which can serve, for example, as infiltration areas of the pavement.
- fixing points or fixing areas 8 are provided between the paving stones, in which composite sections 4 of one stone engage in the gaps of composite sections of the other stone in a rack-like manner.
- the same applies here as the arrangement and shape of the composite sections allows the stones to be moved or rotated accordingly when placed together in order to bring the composite sections of the adjacent stones into engagement with one another.
Description
The present invention relates to a paving composed of a large number of individual paving stones with an irregularly curved side surface according to claim 1.
Pavement structures are usually structured orthogonally. The previously known composite systems of paving stones are constructed accordingly. In addition, there is only a composite system based on geometric circular segment arcs.
From a functional and design perspective, however, paving stones with non-orthogonal floor plans are also used, some of which are based on natural stone shapes.
The present invention is based on the object of providing a plaster of the type described above, which enables the formation of a composite system with a wide variety of stone shapes.
This object is achieved according to the invention by a pavement of the type specified, in which the individual paving stones have chains or partial chains of adjacent strip-shaped composite sections arranged at a distance from one another on their irregularly curved side surfaces, which mesh in a rack-like manner with composite sections of adjacent paving stones.
In the paving designed according to the invention, paving stones with arbitrarily shaped, irregularly curved side surfaces are used, these side surfaces being provided with a large number of strip-shaped composite sections, which either form a chain extending around the entire circumference of the stone or corresponding partial chains of composite sections which are spaced apart are arranged from each other. Since the paving structure is not necessarily fixed in the area of free stone shapes, it is not a problem when laying the paving to create the positive connection with neighboring stones at all desired fixation points by slightly shifting or rotating one or more of the affected paving stones.
In a first embodiment of the invention, the individual paving stones of the paving are provided with a circumferential chain of composite sections on their irregularly curved side surfaces. The composite sections therefore extend around the entire circumference of the paving stone, so that when laying the stones if they are not lined up precisely, corresponding rotations or displacements are easily possible in order to achieve corresponding ones Fixing points can be realized by connecting sections of neighboring stones that engage with one another in a rack-like manner.
In another embodiment, the individual paving stones are provided on their irregularly curved side surfaces with a large number of circumferential sub-chains of composite sections arranged at a distance from one another. The composite sections therefore do not extend around the entire circumference of the paving stone, but rather there remain corresponding gaps that can fulfill other desired functions. Here, for example, the length of the partial chains can correspond to the distance between the partial chains, so that when paving stones are placed together, a partial chain of one stone can engage in the gap between the partial chains of the other stone.
The respective partial chains can, for example, each have two or three composite sections.
For example, the empty sections between the partial chains can be designed as infiltration sections, so that rapid drainage of the pavement can be ensured in this way.
In a further embodiment, the paving designed according to the invention can have paving stones with flat side surfaces, on which chains or partial chains of adjacent strip-shaped composite sections arranged at a distance from one another are arranged, which are connected in a rack-like manner to composite sections of adjacent paving stones interlock with irregularly curved and/or flat side surfaces.
In this embodiment, the paving designed according to the invention therefore has both paving stones with irregularly curved side surfaces and paving stones with geometrically regular structures, which can be designed, for example, as rectangular stones, hexagonal stones and the like. Even with such paving stones with flat side surfaces, the composite sections extend as chains either over the entire circumference of the side surfaces or as partial chains over only part of the circumference of the same.
In general, it should be said that a paving stone of the paving designed according to the invention can have a corresponding number of fixation points, depending on the number of contacts with neighboring stones, which are formed by composite sections of the neighboring stones that interlock like a rack. This applies to stones with irregularly curved side surfaces as well as those with flat side surfaces. Since the stones are provided with corresponding composite sections along their entire circumference or over a large part of their circumference, when laying by shifting or rotating, appropriate contact or fixation points with neighboring stones can always be found in order to achieve a stable laying pattern that can withstand the loads .
The paving designed according to the invention can therefore be composed of paving stones with any stone shape, in each case by adhering to the inventive conditions As a rule, a desired stone composite can be achieved when arranging the composite sections.
As far as the strip-shaped composite sections are concerned, these are preferably semicircular in section. The composite sections can only extend over part of the height of the respective paving stone. In a special embodiment, the composite sections of the paving stones are designed to be stepped in the height direction, whereby particular advantages can be achieved in terms of flexibility and resilience as well as drainage of the paving.
In yet another embodiment, the composite sections of the paving stones are flattened at their tips or have a depression in order to enable the arrangement of joint material at these points as well.
In addition to the composite sections in the lower region of the paving stones, further projecting sections can be provided, which together with the composite sections form a double composite system. The aim here is to achieve relatively close contact with the neighboring stones in the lower area, which then becomes wider towards the top and allows more joint material to be accommodated.
As far as the distances between the individual composite sections of a paving stone are concerned, these are preferably dimensioned so that a composite section of one neighboring stone is between two composite sections of the other Stone can intervene, either with contact or without contact with the two composite sections of the other stone. After the engagement of a composite section, either no relative movements or only small relative movements in the joint direction of the two stones are possible. In any case, large distances between the composite sections are undesirable.
When we talk about paving stones with irregularly curved side surfaces, this mainly concerns paving stones without pronounced side edges. However, this should not exclude the possibility that such stones can also have such edges if they only have a section with a curved side surface. According to the invention, it is therefore primarily about irregularly shaped stones, which, however, can form a corresponding pavement in conjunction with regularly shaped stones.
