- the flap 108 is designed such that when the suction device 10 is positioned on the standing surface 12, assuming its horizontal orientation, the flap 108 is automatically transferred from the open position to the closed position without the user having to do anything. This ensures that during normal operation of the suction device 10 the battery receptacle 88 is closed at least to the extent that the entry of dirt and liquid is largely prevented. Automatic latching of the flap 108 can be provided, but is not absolutely necessary.
