Definitions
- the invention relates to a closure cap for a detergent bottle, the closure cap having at least one cap wall with a plurality of surface elements spaced apart from one another.
- Such a cap is, for example, from U.S. D597,844 p (US Patent Design) known.
- the surface elements are points or nubs, each having a peripheral edge in the form of a circle, from which the respective point extends from a base plane of the cap wall and which encloses a circular base area lying in the base plane of the cap wall.
- the U.S. 2011/311296 A1 describes, for example, a comparable, combined closure and dosing cap, which has ridge-like or punctiform elevations on its outer cap wall. From the GB 2499015A also shows a dosing cap with rib and dome-like elevations on its outside.
- a screwable closure cap for a canister-shaped container which has a plurality of dome-like elevations on the outside of the cap.
- the dome-like elevations serve to increase the grip in order to facilitate the screwing of the closure cap to open or close the container.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of providing a closure cap for a detergent bottle which i.a. can be used for the pre-treatment of stains, which also has an advantageous surface roughness and above all meets the increased requirements of e-commerce sales.
- a rounding radius is provided at the peripheral edge of the surface elements, which is larger than a longest extension of the base area of the surface element.
- the fins of the invention provide some distribution, redirection, or dissipation of the forces generated upon impact in the drop test act on the cap.
- the breaking strength of the closure cap can be increased by distributing or dissipating the forces, or the combination of detergent bottle and closure cap withstands a greater fall height in the drop test without being damaged.
- the closure cap according to the invention can also be used sufficiently well for laundry pretreatment, for example to combat stains.
- the surface elements generally increase the surface roughness of the outside of the cap, so that the closure cap can be easily opened and closed even under adverse environmental conditions, for example in a damp environment.
- the base surface of the surface element is circular.
- the base area can also be oval or have any other desired shape.
- the diameter of the base area simultaneously represents the greatest longitudinal extension.
- the diameter of a circular base area can be, for example, 0.5 to 3 mm, preferably 1 to 2 mm.
- the surface element is preferably designed as an outwardly directed surface elevation.
- the surface element can be a circular nub directed outwards.
- the surface element can also be an inwardly directed surface indentation.
- the surface element could be a circular dent, such as is known from the surface of a golf ball.
- the raised surface can be formed in one piece with the cap wall and be made of the same material as the cap wall.
- the cap wall is made of polyethylene or polypropylene.
- the cap wall can also optionally be made of a different plastic or material than the surface elements.
- the radius of curvature is twice as large as the greatest longitudinal extension of the base area of the surface element.
- the radius of curvature can be at least three times or even four times or six times larger than the longest extension of the base area of the surface element.
- the rounding radius can assume values between 1 and 10 mm.
- a maximum height of the surface element can be less than one tenth of the maximum longitudinal extent of the base area of the surface element.
- the greatest height of the surface element can also be less than one tenth of the smallest longitudinal extension. This leads to very flat, but still raised surface elements, through which a pre-treatment of stains is still possible and a higher grip of the outer surface of the cap is guaranteed. Test contribute to the relief of critical points.
- a maximum depth of the surface element can be less than a tenth of the maximum longitudinal extent or even the smallest longitudinal extent of the base surface of the surface element.
- the height of the surface element can preferably assume values between 0.05 and 0.5 mm. In a particularly preferred embodiment, the height is 0.1 to 0.2 mm.
- the cap wall of the closure cap can be a cylindrical or conical lateral surface, with the surface elements preferably being arranged over the entire circumference of the lateral surface. Additionally or alternatively, the surface elements can also be arranged on an end wall of the closure cap.
- the number of surface elements can vary in the circumferential direction of the lateral surface. This means that more surface elements are provided for a specific angle of circumference than for a different angle of circumference. In one embodiment, a perimeter angle with the most surfels is offset by 180° from a perimeter angle with the fewest surfels.
- the surface elements can be arranged in a regular pattern on the cap wall or lateral surface, it being possible for a distance in the circumferential direction and a distance in the axial direction between two adjacent surface elements to be constant in each case. In principle, there is no upper limit to the number of surface elements on the cap wall. A number between 50 and 150 is advantageous.
- the closure cap can have an internal thread for screwing onto the detergent bottle.
- other fastening means bayonet lock, plug-in, snap-in, clip connection, other positive or non-positive connection, etc.
- the cap can be detachably attached to the detergent bottle.
- the closure cap preferably has a seal made of a material that is softer than the material of the cap wall.
- Thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) are preferred materials for the seal.
- figure 1 shows a detergent bottle 1 in three different views.
- Figure 1A shows the container in a front view
- Figure 1B in a first side view
- Figure 1C in a second side view.
- the detergent bottle 1 comprises a base body 2 which defines an interior space for accommodating the liquid detergent.
- the volume of the interior can be 500 ml to 5000 ml, for example.
- a handle 3 is molded into the base body 2 on one side.
- a closure cap 10 is seated on an upper end of the base body 2.
- the closure cap 10 has a cylindrical basic shape.
- a region 12 with circular surface elements 13 is provided on a slightly conical cap wall 11, which represents a lateral surface of the cylindrical basic shape.
- the surface elements 13 facilitate the handling of the closure cap 10 by increasing its surface roughness.
- the area 12 is not formed symmetrically, but has a certain orientation in relation to the base body 2 or the handle 3 .
- a lower end 14 of the portion 12 is located just above the handle 3.
- FIG. Above the handle 3 are more surface elements 13 (see Figure 1C ) than in the one offset by 180° (see Figure 1A ) surface area of the sealing cap 10.
- the closure cap 10 sits on an in figure 1 almost completely concealed pouring aid 4, which is screwed to the base body 2 via a thread (which cannot be seen).
- the pouring aid 4, which is supposed to be associated with the detergent bottle 1 here, has an external thread onto which the closure cap 10 can be screwed.
- the sealing cap 10 (see figure 2 ) has a cylindrical outer wall 15 and a cylindrical inner wall 16 in a central area, which delimit a receiving space 17 . Due to the cylindrical walls 15, 16, the receiving space 17 takes the form of an annular cylinder.
- the ring cylinder is shown in the illustration figure 2 open at the bottom.
- annular seal 18 is arranged in the receiving space 17, through which a seal to the pouring aid 4 is possible, onto the external thread of which the closure cap 10 can be screwed.
- the closure cap 10 has an internal thread 20 which is also arranged in the receiving space 17 .
- the slightly conical cap wall/shell surface 11 extends to a circular, flat end wall 19 figure 2 the surface elements 13 to recognize.
- the detergent can be measured and dosed with the substantially rotationally symmetrical closure cap 10 .
- markings are provided in a lower area for a quantity of, for example, 50 ml or 70 ml. If the closure cap 10 is in the in figure 1 is in the position shown, the lower area protrudes into the detergent bottle 1 .
- figure 3 shows a single surface element 13 in longitudinal section.
- the surface element 13 is shaded.
- the cap wall or the lateral surface 11 define a base plane E, from which the surface element 13 extends.
- the surface element 13 has a peripheral edge 21, which in the embodiment of figure 3 formed as a circle. This circle has a diameter D.
- the surface element 13 should be designed symmetrically about a central axis 22 .
- a maximum height of the surface element 13 is H.
- H is preferably less than 0.2 mm, for example 0.1 to 0.16 mm.
- a radius of curvature 23 is provided which is larger than the diameter D.
- the diameter D corresponds to the greatest longitudinal extent of a base surface of the surface element.
- the base area here is a circular area of the circle with the diameter D.
- the rounding radius 23 is around 110% of the diameter D here.
- the contour of the surface element 13 first follows the rounding radius 23 or the circular path 24 associated therewith until the contour reaches a middle region 25 of the surface element 13 .
- An inner diameter 26 can be assigned to the middle region 25 .
- the contour of the surface element 13 no longer follows the circular path 24, but forms a rounded convex center 27.
- the inner diameter 26 is in the exemplary embodiment figure 3 around 35% of the diameter D of the base area.
- the inner diameter 26 can be 25 to 60% (preferably 30 to 50%) of the diameter D.
- the contour of the surface element has a turning point in the middle region 25 or also directly at its outer border.
- the surface element 13 does not lead to undesirable stress peaks in the material of the closure cap 10 when—as simulated in the drop test—the closure cap 10 is exposed to large impact forces. Rather, the surface elements 13 lead to a dispersal or deflection of the forces, so that the forces do not penetrate undamped or unimpeded to the seal 18 or the internal thread 20 and cause damage there.
- the surface elements 13 can alternatively to the in figure 3 shown raised, concave embodiment, which protrudes from the base plane E upwards, also have a convex shape extending downwards into the base plane E.

Description
The invention relates to a closure cap for a detergent bottle, the closure cap having at least one cap wall with a plurality of surface elements spaced apart from one another.

In the distribution of the detergent bottle equipped with the above cap, the distribution channels through e-commerce are becoming more and more important. When sending by parcel services, it can no longer be guaranteed that the detergent bottle will always be upright. When transporting the bottle, relatively large forces or impacts that can act on the bottle and the closure cap at different angles cannot be ruled out either. In the worst case, excessive forces or impacts on the closure cap can result in either the closure cap breaking or the closure cap no longer being able to reliably contribute to the sealing of the detergent bottle. A broken cap or a Leaking detergent bottle with the result of leaking detergent should be avoided as far as possible.
The invention is therefore based on the object of providing a closure cap for a detergent bottle which i.a. can be used for the pre-treatment of stains, which also has an advantageous surface roughness and above all meets the increased requirements of e-commerce sales.
The object on which the invention is based is achieved with the combination of features according to
According to the invention, in order to form a smooth transition from the base plane of the closure cap, a rounding radius is provided at the peripheral edge of the surface elements, which is larger than a longest extension of the base area of the surface element.
It has been shown in the so-called drop test, in which the filled detergent bottle with the cap upside down or with the cap down from a certain height onto a flat impact surface, has shown that the surface elements according to the prior art have a negative impact on the strength of the closure cap or on the tightness of the closure cap. Surface elements with a smooth transition according to the invention, on the other hand, lead to very good results in terms of breaking strength and maintaining the tightness of the detergent bottle. Better results in the drop test can also be achieved with the closure cap according to the invention with corresponding surface elements in comparison to a closure cap without any surface elements.
Due to the soft transition according to the invention from the base plane of the cap wall to the respective surface element, a notch effect with associated stress peaks can be avoided. Without being bound by theory, one rationale for the advantages of the cap of the present invention over a cap without fins could be that the fins of the invention provide some distribution, redirection, or dissipation of the forces generated upon impact in the drop test act on the cap. The breaking strength of the closure cap can be increased by distributing or dissipating the forces, or the combination of detergent bottle and closure cap withstands a greater fall height in the drop test without being damaged. Despite the very smooth transition from the base plane to the surface elements, the closure cap according to the invention can also be used sufficiently well for laundry pretreatment, for example to combat stains. In addition, the surface elements generally increase the surface roughness of the outside of the cap, so that the closure cap can be easily opened and closed even under adverse environmental conditions, for example in a damp environment.
In one embodiment, the base surface of the surface element is circular. However, the base area can also be oval or have any other desired shape. In the case of a circular base area, the diameter of the base area simultaneously represents the greatest longitudinal extension. In the case of an oval base area, it is the larger diameter of the oval that forms the greatest longitudinal extension. The diameter of a circular base area can be, for example, 0.5 to 3 mm, preferably 1 to 2 mm.
The surface element is preferably designed as an outwardly directed surface elevation. Thus, the surface element can be a circular nub directed outwards. In principle, the surface element can also be an inwardly directed surface indentation. In this case, the surface element could be a circular dent, such as is known from the surface of a golf ball.
The raised surface can be formed in one piece with the cap wall and be made of the same material as the cap wall. Preferably the cap wall is made of polyethylene or polypropylene. However, the cap wall can also optionally be made of a different plastic or material than the surface elements.
In one embodiment, the radius of curvature is twice as large as the greatest longitudinal extension of the base area of the surface element. The radius of curvature can be at least three times or even four times or six times larger than the longest extension of the base area of the surface element. For example, the rounding radius can assume values between 1 and 10 mm.
A maximum height of the surface element can be less than one tenth of the maximum longitudinal extent of the base area of the surface element. The greatest height of the surface element can also be less than one tenth of the smallest longitudinal extension. This leads to very flat, but still raised surface elements, through which a pre-treatment of stains is still possible and a higher grip of the outer surface of the cap is guaranteed. Test contribute to the relief of critical points. In the case of an inwardly directed surface setting, a maximum depth of the surface element can be less than a tenth of the maximum longitudinal extent or even the smallest longitudinal extent of the base surface of the surface element. In the case of a circular base area, it is not possible to distinguish between the greatest longitudinal extent (in the base plane of the cap wall) and the smallest longitudinal extent (in the base plane of the cap wall, perpendicular to the greatest longitudinal extent), they each correspond to the diameter of the base area.
In einem besonders bevorzugten Ausführungsbeispiel beträgt die Höhe 0,1 bis 0,2 mm.The height of the surface element can preferably assume values between 0.05 and 0.5 mm. In a particularly preferred embodiment, the height is 0.1 to 0.2 mm.
The cap wall of the closure cap can be a cylindrical or conical lateral surface, with the surface elements preferably being arranged over the entire circumference of the lateral surface. Additionally or alternatively, the surface elements can also be arranged on an end wall of the closure cap.
Vorteilhaft ist eine Anzahl zwischen 50 und 150.The number of surface elements can vary in the circumferential direction of the lateral surface. This means that more surface elements are provided for a specific angle of circumference than for a different angle of circumference. In one embodiment, a perimeter angle with the most surfels is offset by 180° from a perimeter angle with the fewest surfels. The surface elements can be arranged in a regular pattern on the cap wall or lateral surface, it being possible for a distance in the circumferential direction and a distance in the axial direction between two adjacent surface elements to be constant in each case. In principle, there is no upper limit to the number of surface elements on the cap wall. A number between 50 and 150 is advantageous.
The closure cap can have an internal thread for screwing onto the detergent bottle. However, other fastening means (bayonet lock, plug-in, snap-in, clip connection, other positive or non-positive connection, etc.) are also conceivable, with which the cap can be detachably attached to the detergent bottle.
The closure cap preferably has a seal made of a material that is softer than the material of the cap wall. Thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) are preferred materials for the seal.

In order to form a smooth transition from the basic plane E, a radius of
Due to the particularly soft transition caused by the large radius of
