Description

Einleitungintroduction

The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a press pad. Furthermore, the present application includes a press plate set according to the preamble of claim 7.

The hydraulic heating press system can in particular be designed in the form of a hydraulic multi-level heating press.

Stand der TechnikState of the art

Press cushions are used in a heating press system to bring about an even distribution of force between a hydraulically driven heating press and a pressing plate that comes into direct contact with a respective compact. As a rule, the pressing plate has a designed surface which has a pressed relief. This pressed relief is pressed or pressed into a surface of the respective compact in the course of a pressing process, so that a negative of the pressed relief results in the surface of the compact. At the moment of the pressing process, the compact has a soft consistency, at least in the area of its surface, the compact typically comprising a melamine resin layer. This soft consistency makes it possible for the pressing relief of the pressing plate to be pressed into the compact, with the soft material of the compact yielding and being compressed locally.

As a result of the thermal energy introduced into the compact by means of the heating press, the compact is finally hardened to such an extent that the pressed-in surface structure, which corresponds to the negative of the structure of the press relief, remains permanently. In order to make the surface of the compact uniform and therefore visually appealing, it is important that the pressing pressure applied by means of the heating press system is transferred evenly to the pressing plate and finally to the compact. As explained above, the press cushion serves to transfer the pressing pressure from the heating press to the pressing plate in an even manner.

From the DE 20 2015 006 923 U1 For example, a press pad is known that compensates for thickness tolerances and possibly different requirements thermal conductivities should be taken into account. For this purpose, the final cross-linking of the known press cushion should take place in a first pressing process in the press.

Another example of a press pad is from DE 35 16 645 C2 known, the press cushion is intended to apply a plastic film true to the contours on a structured surface of a wooden panel. Accordingly, the press pad has corresponding thickenings at indentations in the wooden panel, so that the plastic film to be applied reliably comes into contact with the surface at the indentation.

Furthermore, from the DE 20 2016 000 367 U1 a press pad known, which should be optimized in relation to the compensation of thickness tolerances and temperature differences within the press system. For this purpose, a supporting fabric made of metallic metal threads is printed with a padding layer made of silicone using a 3D printing process, which takes into account the thickness tolerances of the press system, press plates and wood-based panels. Compensating for the thickness tolerances is intended to ensure that heat flows through the heating plate and the material to be pressed more quickly and evenly.

The production quality of artificially designed surface structures of compacts, which can in particular reproduce natural wood grains and wood surface structures, has increased significantly in recent years. This is due in particular to the fact that the embossing depths that are introduced into the compact have increased, so that the reproduction of natural surface structures could be successfully improved. The introduction of such deep surface structures provided with high embossing depths requires the use of press plates whose press reliefs are particularly pronounced and are equipped with high areas whose height, measured perpendicularly to a press plate plane and related to the press plate plane, corresponds to a desired depth of the respective local surface structure of the compact. It goes without saying that the incorporation of a particularly deep local surface structure in the respective pressed part, conversely, requires a particularly high high area of the pressed relief of the pressed sheet. Pressing such a press plate, which has a press relief provided with such high areas, into a respective compact results in the resistance, which acts on the press plate in the form of a reaction force, being locally very different across the surface of the press plate. Pressing a high area into the surface of the compact thus requires a greater force than pressing in a structure of the pressed relief which hardly protrudes from the plane of the pressing plate. In practice, this has the consequence that the necessary force, which is required for complete pressing, is also the High areas of the press relief required in the compact, can not be reliably transferred to the press plate.

Aufgabetask

The object of the present application is to provide a method for producing a press cushion with which press cushions which are improved compared to the prior art can be produced. Furthermore, the object of the present invention is to provide a press plate set that is improved over the prior art.

Erfindungsgemäße Ausgestaltungen ergeben sich aus den Unteransprüchen 2 bis 6.The underlying object is achieved according to the invention by means of a method for producing a press pad with the features of claim 1. Embodiments according to the invention result from the dependent claims 2 to 6.

The method according to the invention is characterized by the method step that, depending on the press relief, material is applied to the fabric at least at one point on at least one side of the press pad, the point corresponding to a high area of the press relief, so that the press pad is thickened at the point .

The method according to the invention has many advantages. In particular, it enables the production of a press cushion, by means of which a reliable transmission of force to the respective press plate is ensured in the course of a pressing process, since the press cushion is individually adapted to the design of the press plate or the structure of the associated press relief. The material applied to the fabric is particularly suitable for adapting the thickness of the press pad individually to a respective press plate that is designed with a specific press relief. Thus, for example, at one point of a press plate whose press relief locally has a particularly pronounced high area, the press pad individually tailored to the respective press plate can be provided with the applied material at a point corresponding to the high area of the press plate, by means of which the thickness of the fabric of the press pad is increased accordingly. This thickening has the technical effect that the press cushion is less compressible than this in a region of action of the thickening that corresponds to the local high area of the press relief in the presence of a reaction force that occurs as a result of the increased resistance in the course of pressing the press sheet into the compact would be the case without the thickening. This ensures that those with the high range trained structure of the pressed relief is reliably pressed completely into the compact and consequently forms the desired surface structure of the compact.

Another essential technical advantage of the press pad produced using the method according to the invention is that the press pad has low thermal conductivity in the area of the thickening. This has the technical effect that the thermal energy made available by means of the heating press is not transferred to the press plate in the same way as in a situation in which the thickening would not be present. In other words, the heat transfer between the heating press and the pressing plate is "slowed down" by means of the thickening. This has the particular advantage that the material of the surface layer of the compact hardens less quickly in the effective area of the thickening and therefore more time is available in which the material can avoid the high area of the structure of the pressed relief of the pressed plate. On the other hand, a particularly rapid hardening of the compact would make it more difficult to introduce a particularly deep surface structure, since the viscosity of the material of the compact in the area of its surface layer would increase particularly quickly during the pressing process, which in turn would make it more difficult to press the respective high area of the pressed relief into the surface layer .

The material, ie the print medium, can be a self-curing or radiation-curing material. Furthermore, additives can be added to the printing medium, which further reduce the thermal conductivity and/or increase the compressive strength.

With regard to the design of the at least one thickening, which is matched to the high area of the pressing plate, it should be noted that the thickening at the useful temperature, i.e. when the heating press system is in operation, corresponds exactly to the high area of the press relief. Accordingly, the different temperature expansions of the press pad and the press plate at the useful temperature are taken into account during the production of the press pad, so that the press pad does not optimally correspond to the press plate at room temperature, but at the use temperature.

According to an advantageous development of the invention, the press pad is provided with a large number of thickenings, the thickenings preferably being of linear design. This creates the impression of joints in the compact.

The material is preferably applied differently at different points on the fabric, so that local thicknesses of the press pad are different for different thickenings. This is advantageous in that an equally irregular design of a structure can be achieved by means of an irregular distribution a press relief of a press plate can be simulated, so that the thickenings act precisely in those areas of the press cushion in which an effect is desired and necessary in view of the design of the press relief of the press plate. In particular, it is advantageous to adapt a respective press pad according to the invention individually to the design of a respective press plate or a respective surface structure of a compact.

Further developing the method according to the invention, material is applied to the fabric on both sides of the press pad, with at least one application of material for both sides preferably taking place at the same point on the fabric. This makes it possible to achieve particularly large thickenings and thus to depict a particularly high high area of the pressed relief.

In a particularly advantageous embodiment of the method according to the invention, the material is applied by means of material printing, in particular by means of a 3D printer or by means of screen printing. By means of material printing, even complex press reliefs can be reproduced in detail, so that the quality of the press pad produced and thus also the quality of the processed compact are optimized. In the case of material printing, partial printing can take place, so that the material is actually applied only in areas in which a thickening of the press pad is desired. Accordingly, a full-surface application is not taking place. The application of material by means of material pressure also has the advantage that it can take place automatically, for example a printer head being movable in a plane parallel to a surface of the press pad and in this way material being able to be applied to the press pad at predetermined points. Such an order is also possible with particular precision.

In a further advantageous embodiment of the method according to the invention, the material is formed from a rubber, in particular a silicone rubber, which is crosslinked to form an elastomer after it has been applied by means of a UV radiator. Rubber, in particular silicone rubber, is particularly well suited to ensuring the necessary elasticity of the press pad, with the low thermal conductivity of the elastomeric material also preventing too rapid a transfer of thermal energy from the heating press to the pressing plate.

The underlying object is also achieved according to the invention by means of a press plate set with the features of claim 7 . Advantageous configurations of this press plate set result from subclaims 8 to 13.

The press plate set according to the invention comprises at least one press plate and at least one press pad assigned to the press plate, wherein the press plate has a press relief provided with a structure, which has a plurality of raised areas protruding above a press plate plane, the press pad including a fabric that runs in a warp direction Warp threads and running in a weft direction weft threads is formed. According to the invention, the press plate set is characterized in that the press pad has a thickening on at least one side at least at one point that corresponds to a high area of the press plate, the thickening being formed by material applied to the fabric.

The press plate set according to the invention can be produced particularly easily using the method according to the invention. The advantages of the press plate set according to the invention are analogous to the advantages that are mentioned with regard to the method described above. In particular, the press cushion is made thicker in high areas of the structure of the press relief by means of material application, so that the reaction forces acting at these points or in these areas of the press plate can be reliably applied during the pressing process. As a result, the pressing plate is pressed completely into the compact with its respective high area, so that the desired surface structure is obtained in the compact. There is also the technical advantage that the press cushion has a lower thermal conductivity in the area of the thickening, so that the heat transfer between the heating press and the pressing plate is reduced in the area of the thickening. As a result, the material of the surface layer of the compact hardens less quickly in the area of the thickening and has more time to escape the high part of the structure of the pressed relief of the pressed sheet.

According to an advantageous further development of the press plate set according to the invention, the material is formed from an elastomer, preferably a silicone elastomer. As a result, the press pad has particularly good elasticity and low thermal conductivity in the area of the thickening.

The press cushion preferably has a large number of thickenings, so that a respective press cushion according to the invention can be individually adapted to the design of a respective press plate or a respective surface structure of a compact.

In this context, it is also advantageous if at least two thickenings are differently pronounced in such a way that the thicknesses of the press pad are different at the locations of the differently pronounced thickenings. By means of this Configuration, consideration can be given to high areas of the press relief of the press plate with different degrees of severity.

Furthermore, according to a further advantageous embodiment of the press plate set according to the invention, it is provided that at least two thickened portions have different widths and/or lengths. This allows individual press reliefs to be displayed on the press pad. The thickenings can in particular be in the form of strips.

Another advantageous embodiment of the press sheet set according to the invention is that at least one thickening - viewed in cross section of the press pad - is rounded off on at least one edge, preferably on both opposite edges, with the thickness of the press pad preferably starting from an area in which there is no thickening steadily increasing to a peak of thickening. During the pressing process, no stress peaks form at said edge, as would be the case with an abrupt increase in thickness in the manner of a step. Rather, in this way a uniform increase in forces that act on the press pad and on the press plate and the compact in the area of the thickenings is achieved. This has advantages in particular with regard to the longevity of the press pad.

Finally, a development of the press plate set according to the invention provides that the press pad has at least one thickened area on both sides, with preferably at least two thickened areas, one of which is assigned to one of the sides of the press pad, being arranged at the same point on the press pad. It is thus possible to image a particularly high high area of the desired press relief.

An embodiment in the Figures 1 to 7 is shown relates to a pressing plate set 1 according to the invention, which is installed in a hot-press system 2 for processing a compact 3 . The press plate set 1 comprises a press plate 4 and a press pad 5, the press pad 5 being formed by a fabric 6 .

The press cushion 5 is arranged between a heating press 7 of the heating press system 2 and the pressing plate 4 so that force is transmitted between the heating press 7 and the pressing plate 4 by means of the press cushion 5 . The press pad 5 serves to equalize the forces between the heating press 7 and the pressing plate 4 , so that the pressing plate 4 is evenly subjected to the compressive force provided by the heating press 7 over its surface.

In the example shown, the press plate 4 has a press relief 8 by means of which a surface structure 9 can be pressed into the compact 3 . The press relief 8 is typically etched into the surface of the associated press plate 4 so that a designed surface structure is created. Based on figures 2 and 3 1 illustrates the manner in which the design of a surface structure 9 of a compact 3 can be formed, with the design of the pressed relief 8 of an associated press plate 4 having to follow this desired design. The reason for this is that the surface structure 9 is solely due to the design of the pressed relief 8 , which to a certain extent represents a negative of the surface structure 9 . The press relief 8 of the press plate 4 is pressed into a surface layer of the compact 3 in the course of the pressing process by means of the heating press system 2 , so that indentations are formed in the surface layer of the compact 3 , which are designed to complement the elevations of the press relief 8 . In particular for the reproduction of naturally grown structures, which are intended to imitate surface structures, for example of wood-based materials, it is important that the surface structure 9 of the respective compact 3 is given indentations of different characteristics. In particular, it is of interest to sometimes produce particularly deep indentations in the respective compact 3 , since these would be equally present in a corresponding natural material. a deep Conversely, pressing into the compact 3 requires a high area 10 in the press relief 8 of the press plate 4 .

Pressing such high areas 10 into the surface layer of a respective compact 3 requires a comparatively high pressing force, which has to be transferred to the pressing plate 4 . The reaction force caused by the surface layer, which acts on the press plate 4 , can cause the press pad 5 to deform slightly during a pressing process, so that the high areas 10 are not pressed into the surface layer in the same way as in areas of the press relief 8 , which have a lower expression or height. This has the effect that the surface structure 9 of the finished compact 3 is not formed in the desired manner according to the estimated design, since areas of the compact 3 that should have comparatively deep indentations are not designed as desired.

In order to prevent the local "evasion" of the press pad 5 in the high areas 10 of the press relief 8 during the pressing process, the press pad 5 is equipped according to the invention with a thickening 11 which corresponds to the high area 10 of the press plate 4 . The thickening 11 is formed by material 12 applied to the fabric 6 , which serves to increase a local thickness 13 of the fabric 6 . In the present example, the material 12 is a silicone elastomer. By means of the thickening 11 , the effect is thus achieved that the press cushion 5 or its fabric 6 has a thickness 13 in an effective area 14 of the thickening 11 which, compared to the thickness 15 of the fabric 6, which is present outside of the effective area 14 of the thickening 11 , is enlarged. In this respective effective area 14 of one or more thickenings 11 , the tissue 6 is therefore less easily compressible, as a result of which a local deflection of the press pad 5 in the direction of the heating press 7 in the manner described above is locally prevented. The consequence of this is that the pressing sheet metal 4 is reliably pressed into the compact 3 even in those areas of the pressing sheet metal 4 in which the structure of the pressed relief 8 has corresponding high areas 10 .

Based on the representations of figures 2 and 3 shows, for example, in which areas the surface structure 9 of the respective compact 3 is particularly deep and how areas 14 of action for thickenings 11 are provided individually on the press pad 5 adapted to the design. The example according to figure 3 relates to a compact 3 formed with a plurality of joints 16. FIG. In such an embodiment, individual pressing elements, which are separated from one another by means of the joints 16 , are produced in a single pressing operation. In the areas of these joints 16 , the associated press plate 4 has particularly pronounced high areas 10 , which are suitable for indenting at least the surface layer of the compact 3 so deeply that the finished compact 3 has the corresponding joints 16 in the form of particularly pronounced depressions. The finished compact 3 can then be sawn up, for example, along these joints 16 so that the individual compacted elements result. Such a press pad 5 of the press plate set 1 according to the invention, which is adapted to the associated press plate 4 , therefore usefully has thickenings 11 in effective areas 14 , which are arranged locally on the press pad 5 at such points that coincide with the high areas 10 of the press plate 4 , which in turn are responsible for the design of the joints 16 in the compact 3 . Accordingly, according to the invention, the fabric 6 of a respective press pad 5 is generally individually matched to the design of a respective press plate 4 or the desired design of a surface structure 9 of a respective compact 3 , with the press plate 4 and the associated press pad 5 together forming a functional unit in which the advantageous effect of the thickenings 11 is only achieved in combination with the individually associated press plate 4 . Accordingly, it is provided according to the invention to adapt a respective press pad 5 individually to a predetermined design of a surface structure 9 of a press plate 4 , with this adaptation taking place according to the invention by means of the thickenings 11 . The press plate 4 and the press pad 5 are also preferably connected to one another in a force-transmitting manner, so that relative movements between the two components are at least essentially prevented, at least in the direction of the plane of the press plate.

A fabric 6 according to the invention, which is figure 4 is shown is formed in a known manner of warp threads 17 and weft threads 18 which are interwoven. In the example shown, the woven fabric 6 has a plurality of strip-shaped thickenings 11 , some of the thickenings 11 being oriented in a warp direction and the other part of the thickening 11 being oriented in the weft direction of the fabric 6 . This achieves the effect that the thickness 13 of the tissue 6 in the active area 14 of the thickenings 11 is increased compared to the thickness 15 of the tissue 6 which the latter has outside the active area 14 . this is in figure 5 illustrated. A local section of an associated press plate 4 with an individual press relief 8 which has a raised area 10 is contrasted with the cross section through the fabric 6 shown schematically there. The thickenings 11 are arranged individually adapted to the press relief 8 in such a way that the effective area 14 in which the thickenings 11 bring about the desired increase in the thickness 13 of the fabric 6 coincides with the high area 10 of the press relief 8 . In this way, the effect described above is achieved that the press pad 5 in precisely this area of the press plate 4, in which the greatest resistance to the desired pressing into the surface layer of the compact 3 is to be expected in the course of a pressing process, is less compressible, so that the press pad 5 deflects in the direction of the heating press 7 due to the reaction force is counteracted. Furthermore, the press pad 5 has a temperature-inhibiting effect in the area of its thickenings 11 .

In the Figures 6 to 10 further embodiments of press plate sets 1 according to the invention are shown, with the press reliefs 8 and thus also the formation of the thickenings 11 varying. the figure 6 shows an example in which two differently designed thickenings 11 are realized, which are adapted according to the high areas 10 of the press plate 4 . Here, the in the figure 6 Thickening 11 shown on the left has a lower strength than that in FIG figure 6 thickening 11 shown on the right, which is due to the differently pronounced high areas 10 of the pressed relief 8 .

That in the figure 7 The press plate set 1 shown also has two high areas 10 of different heights, with the thickening 11, which depicts the more strongly developed high area 10 , being divided into a thickening 11 on a side facing the pressing plate 4 and a thickening 11 on a side facing away from the pressing plate 4 . Accordingly, material 12 is applied to both sides of the fabric 6 of the press pad 5 . In this way, thickening 11 of greater thickness is produced by an additional application of material 12 on the side facing away from press plate 4 , while the two thickenings 11 located next to one another on the side facing press plate 4 have the same thickness.

Another example of a press plate set 1 according to the invention is shown in figure 8 shown, the press relief 8 according to the press relief 8 figure 7 is equivalent to. In contrast to the Pressblechset 1 according to figure 7 are the thickenings 11 in the press plate set 1 in figure 8 each rounded at edges 19 , which means that the edges 19 are formed in the manner of a ramp and there is no sudden increase in the thickness of the press pad 5 , but a continuous increase in thickness.

Furthermore, the figures 9 and 10 further exemplary embodiments of press plate sets 1 according to the invention, the press pads 5 shown therein having a fabric 6 which is embedded in a material 20 in such a way that the press pad 5 —apart from the thickenings 11 —has an at least essentially flat surface. In addition to the material 20 , the press pads 5 are provided with the thickenings 11 adapted to the press relief 8 .

The material 12, which is applied to the fabric 6 of the press pad 5 in order to create the thickenings 11 , is formed from a silicone elastomer, which is applied to the fabric 6 by means of a material printer, which is formed here by a 3D printer.
