Description

The present invention relates to a dangerous goods container according to the preamble of patent claim 1.

Hazardous goods containers of this type are used to hold hazardous goods and have basically been known in the prior art for a long time. In one embodiment, hazardous goods containers of this type are used for storing and/or transporting batteries and/or battery systems.

In the general state of the art, dangerous goods containers have become known, for example, which have a container body, the container body having a container bottom, a container lid and a container side wall, which delimit a receiving space for the dangerous goods. These dangerous goods containers are loaded and unloaded via an opening provided for this purpose, which is formed at the upper end of the container body and closes it off at the top, and which is closed via the container lid. Such dangerous goods containers are therefore loaded and unloaded from above, with the dangerous goods being inserted from above into the receiving space delimited by the container body or lifted out of it. Such dangerous goods containers then reach their limits when heavy and/or large and/or bulky dangerous goods are to be accommodated in the dangerous goods container. A dangerous goods container according to the preamble of claim 1 is made EP 3 447 821 A1 known.

The pamphlets DE 35 41 575 A1 , EP 2 671 812 A1 and CN 206 032 015 U describe storage devices for dangerous goods, in which loading and unloading takes place over the side. What all of these publications have in common, however, is that the storage devices are not used for heavy hazardous goods.

This object is achieved according to the invention by the dangerous goods container with the features according to independent patent claim 1. Further features and details of the invention result from the dependent claims, the description and the drawings.

The basic idea of the present invention is that the dangerous goods container is designed in a special way so that heavy and/or bulky and/or large dangerous goods can also be stored in it in a simple manner and then transported. The hazardous goods container is now loaded and unloaded from the side. In addition, the dangerous goods container has a storage device for the dangerous goods inside the container body that is designed in a special way, which is described in more detail below, which further simplifies loading and unloading.

The hazardous goods container is designed to hold hazardous goods. This means that the hazardous goods are stored or can be stored in the hazardous goods container. The dangerous goods container is used in particular for the temporary storage of dangerous goods. In addition, the dangerous goods container is preferably designed in such a way that the dangerous goods can also be transported in it. The dangerous goods container is therefore designed in particular for storing and/or transporting dangerous goods. The hazardous goods container has a number of different features which, when combined, lead to the desired effect in terms of storage and transport.

Dangerous goods are in particular substances or objects which, due to their properties or their condition, can pose a risk during transport or storage. The hazardous goods container according to the invention is used to accommodate, in particular for storage and/or transport, solid objects in the form of batteries and/or battery systems for electric vehicles, in particular for electric cars, with the batteries being designed on a lithium-ion basis, for example, but this is not mandatory is required. Such batteries and battery systems are bulky on the one hand and heavy on the other. For example, they can weigh up to a ton or more. Batteries and battery systems of this type can no longer easily be stored from above in a known hazardous goods container as described above, without the need for complex and cost-intensive lifting devices such as crane systems or the like become necessary. However, by means of the hazardous goods container according to the invention, which is described in detail below, such batteries and battery systems can also be easily stored in the hazardous goods container and removed from it. In a preferred embodiment, the dangerous goods container is therefore provided for accommodating, in particular for storing and/or transporting, at least one complete battery or at least one complete battery system of the automotive industry, without the need for disassembly into individual modules. For example, batteries or battery systems, in particular lithium-ion batteries or battery systems, for example in the end-of-life state, defective or critical batteries or battery systems, but also new goods can be accommodated in the hazardous goods container.

The dangerous goods container is designed in the form of a crate or a box. This is in particular a rectangular, lockable container made from a solid material for receiving and/or storing objects.

According to the invention, the dangerous goods container has the features of independent patent claim 1 .

The hazardous goods container initially has a container body. The container body consists of a container base, a container cover and a container side wall. Depending on the configuration of the container, the container side wall can consist of several side wall parts or side wall segments. According to the invention, the dangerous goods container body has the shape of a cuboid. In this case, the container side wall consists of four side wall parts or side wall segments, namely a front side, a back side and two side parts, each of which extends between the front side and the back side. The container body, or the individual components of the container body, delimit a receiving space for the dangerous goods. When the hazardous goods container is used as intended, the hazardous goods are accommodated, in particular stored and/or transported, in the receiving space of the container body.

The hazardous goods container has a loading/unloading opening for loading and unloading it. This opening can be closed via a closing device, which is described in more detail below.

According to the present invention, it is now provided that the loading/unloading opening is formed in the side wall of the container. In the state of the art mentioned at the outset, it was previously necessary for the dangerous goods to be inserted from above into the receiving space of the container body, which can only be done with some effort in the case of heavy and/or bulky and/or large dangerous goods the solution according to the invention now easily slide in from the side. This makes handling much easier. In addition, it is possible for the closing device, as well as other components of the dangerous goods container described further below, to be operated manually. Through the loading/unloading opening in the side wall of the container, for example in a front side, the dangerous goods can be easily and easily stored in the container body or removed from it. Preferred exemplary embodiments are explained in more detail in the further course of the description.

For handling the closing device, it preferably has one or more handle elements. Alternatively or in addition, the closure means may comprise a spring mechanism provided such that it is capable of opening the closure means by exerting pressure thereon.

If the loading/unloading opening is in a front side of the container body or in another side of the container side wall, for example in the rear or in a side surface, the loading/unloading opening preferably extends over the entire surface, for example over the entire front side, the is then or can be closed by the closing device. This means that the largest possible opening is available for loading and unloading.

In an embodiment described in more detail below, it is additionally provided that the loading/unloading opening is also formed in regions in the container cover. In a preferred embodiment, the loading/unloading opening extends over the entire area of the front side of the container body and also over a partial area of the container ceiling.

The closing device has a closing flap or a closing door, or it is designed as such. Depending on the configuration, the closure flap or closure door can be designed in one piece or in multiple pieces.

The closing device can be pivoted, preferably pivoted about a horizontal axis, on the container body, in particular on the container top or the container side wall. In another embodiment, an arrangement that can pivot about a vertical axis can also be implemented on the container body, in particular on the side wall of the container.

A pivotable arrangement can be realized in different ways. A pivotable arrangement provides that the closure device can be pivoted about at least one axis, preferably about a horizontal axis, in relation to the container body. The invention is not limited to specific types of such arrangements.

According to the invention, the closing device is arranged on the container body via at least one hinge device. Depending on the size and/or weight of the closure device, more than one hinge element can also be used, for example two, three, four or five hinge devices, with the invention not being restricted to a specific number. A hinge device is in particular a joint that can be rotated about an axis, which in the present case is used in particular as a fitting for the closing device on the container body.

The at least one hinge device is external to the container body.

In a preferred embodiment, at least one hinge device is designed as a spring hinge device. Or else, at least one hinge device has at least one spring element. All hinge devices used are preferably designed in this way. Spring hinge devices per se are already known in the prior art. They support opening and closing.

Such spring hinge devices have a spring mechanism with at least one spring element, which can be either visible or concealed. They are preferably made of metal, for example steel, stainless steel or aluminum. Depending on the design of the spring mechanism different large spring forces can be realized, which are based in particular on the weight of the closure device. Depending on the weight of the closing device, light or strong springs can be selected. The spring forces are preferably so high that the closing device can be opened and closed manually, so that the closing device can be easily opened and closed manually by the spring technology. The spring elements therefore preferably act as relief springs.

If the closing device, for example the closing flap or the closing door, is equipped with a spring hinge device, the closing device can be opened and/or closed automatically or at least with support. Since no structurally extensive components are required, there is more space inside the container body. With regard to the at least one external hinge device, the outside of the container body on which the hinge device(s) is/are arranged can be kept as flat and level as possible, which has a positive effect on the storage of the dangerous goods containers, in particular on their stackability.

A few exemplary embodiments are described below with regard to the design of the closing device, which is designed in particular as a closing flap or closing door. In a preferred embodiment, the closure device is angular. In such a configuration, the closing device has two surface elements which are arranged and/or aligned at an angle to one another, for example at a right angle. The two surface elements can, for example, be firmly connected to one another or be in the form of a one-piece component. A pivotable connection, for example via at least one suitable, preferably external hinge device, is also possible. The two surface elements can either be of the same size or of different sizes. In a preferred embodiment, the closure device is L-shaped. The invention is not limited to the examples mentioned.

According to the invention, the dangerous goods container has a further component that simplifies loading or unloading. This is a storage facility for storing the dangerous goods, which is located inside the container body.

The storage device has a receiving device which is designed to receive the dangerous goods and on which the dangerous goods are actually stored inside the container body. The invention is not limited to specific embodiments of the receiving device. Some preferred exemplary embodiments are described below.

In a preferred embodiment, the receiving device is a storage plate, in particular a storage compartment. In another preferred embodiment, the receiving device is designed in the form of a storage rack, as a result of which the weight of the receiving device can be reduced. A storage facility is in particular a structure made of rods, profile elements or the like, on which the dangerous goods can be placed or placed. The storage rack is in particular a storage frame. In another embodiment, the receiving device can be a storage trolley. The receiving device can have one or more limiting elements that prevent the dangerous goods located on the receiving device from slipping. These delimiting elements can be fixed or detachable, in particular also displaceable, on the receiving device. The delimiting elements divide the receiving device into different receiving surfaces or receiving compartments. By using such delimiting elements, various limited receiving surfaces can be created on the receiving device, which also make it possible to store several hazardous goods items side by side on the receiving device at the same time. If only a single dangerous goods item, to which the size of the dangerous goods container is adapted, is accommodated in the dangerous goods container, such delimiting elements are not required.

According to the invention, the storage device is provided in such a way that it is able to move a receiving device between a storage position, in which the receiving device is located inside the container body, and a loading/unloading position, in which the receiving device is located at least partially outside the container body move, preferably to move back and forth.

A storage device as described above allows, in particular, simple manual handling. For example, the movement of the receiving device can be supported by a spring mechanism or a component with a similar function.

The storage device is designed as a slide-in device. A slide-in device is in particular a type of open container or a type of receiving device for the dangerous goods, on/in which the dangerous goods are deposited and which are moved or can be moved in relation to the container body, preferably in a horizontal direction. For example, the receiving device can be pulled horizontally out of the container body and pushed into it by means of the insertion device. Such slide-in devices are preferably mounted on rail guides, in particular mounted on the side, or have such rail guides.

In one embodiment, the receiving device is slidably arranged within the container body, with the storage device having in particular a rail guide device. The rail guide device is in particular a guide system with guide rails. For example, the recording device can run on one or more long, mostly straight rails fixed in the container body. In the case of horizontal movements, the rails are usually arranged, in particular in pairs, next to one another and below or next to the receiving device. The rails are preferably arranged on the surfaces of the container body directed into the receiving space of the container body. For example, the rails can be arranged inside the receiving space of the container body on the container floor and/or on the container side wall. In a simple exemplary embodiment, it is sufficient if two such rails are used. Since the receiving device is designed in particular to receive heavy and/or large dangerous goods, it is preferably implemented if more than two, for example four, such rails are used, which are preferably arranged evenly distributed so that the forces acting on the rails are distributed .

Alternatively, the rail guide device can have rail systems that can be displaced relative to one another, one rail being mounted on or on the movable receiving device itself. In particular, a linear guide of the receiving device can be implemented with such a rail guide device.

The rail guide device is preferably an extension, which can also be designed in the form of a telescopic extension, for example. The leadership of In the case of a rail guide device, the receiving device can be implemented, for example, by means of rollers, balls, ball bearings, cylinders or the like.

According to another embodiment, the receiving device is arranged within the container body so that it can pivot, in particular so that it can pivot about a vertical axis. In this case, the receiving device can be pivoted out of and into the receiving space of the container body.

According to the invention, the container body has the shape of a cuboid. A cuboid is in particular a body that is delimited by six rectangles or side faces that are at right angles to each other.

The container body has a width and a depth each greater than the height of the container body. The width of the container body is its extent in a first direction of extent, which is in particular the main direction of extent. The width of the container body extends between the two side surfaces of the container side wall, for example. The width is then the distance between the two side surfaces. The depth of the container body is its extent in a second direction of extent, which in particular runs perpendicular to the first direction of extent, in particular in the horizontal direction perpendicular to the width of the container body. The depth of the container body extends, for example, between the front and the back of the container body. The depth is then the distance between the front and the back. The height of the container body is its extent in a third direction of extent, which in particular runs perpendicularly in the vertical direction to the width of the container body. The height corresponds in particular to the height of the container side wall and thus to the distance between the container bottom and the container ceiling. In a preferred embodiment, the width, depth and height of the container body also correspond to the width, depth and height of the dangerous goods container. If the dangerous goods container also has external components in relation to the container body, the dimensions of such components are preferably included in the width, height and depth of the dangerous goods container.

The dimensions of the hazardous goods container depend primarily on the type and extent of the hazardous goods to be accommodated, in particular to be stored and/or transported. In this regard, the invention is not limited to specific dimensions. In preferred exemplary embodiments, the width of the dangerous goods container can be between 2 and 4 meters, preferably between 3 and 3.5 meters and particularly preferably 3053 mm. The depth of the hazardous goods container can be between 1.5 and 2.5 meters and is particularly preferably 2100 mm. The height of the hazardous goods container can be between 0.5 and 1.5 meters and is preferably 1053mm.

If the closing device is designed in the form of a straight or level closing door or closing flap, the surfaces of the container bottom and the container top can be of the same size and shape in relation to one another. If the closure flap or the closure door is, for example, angled, L-shaped or the like, the area of the container top is preferably smaller than the area of the container bottom, with the container top in particular having a smaller depth than the container bottom. Looking at the container body from the front, the front edge of the container top is set back in such a case compared to the front edge of the container bottom. This additionally enlarges the loading/unloading opening when the closing device is open, which simplifies handling.

In a preferred embodiment, the closing device is provided in such a way that it hermetically closes the container body in the closed state. That means that the The receiving space of the container body is sealed airtight or impenetrable when the dangerous goods container is closed. This also ensures leakage protection.

The closing device and/or the container body preferably has/have in particular at least one suitable sealing device, for example in the form of one or more sealing strips, sealing lips or the like. These are preferably located in the area of the loading/unloading opening around the loading/unloading opening.

All of the figures show a hazardous goods container 10 that is provided for storing and/or transporting batteries or battery systems in the automotive industry, which can weigh up to a ton or more. In the dangerous goods container 10 according to the invention, batteries or battery systems can be stored and/or transported as a whole without having to be dismantled into individual modules beforehand. Identical components are provided with identical reference numbers in the various figures.

In all of the figures, the dangerous goods container 10 has a container body 11 . The container body 11 consists of a container bottom 15, a container cover 16 and a Container side wall 14, which in turn consists of a front side 12 providing a loading/unloading opening 33, a rear side 13, and two side surfaces 14a, 14b forming lateral end sides.
