The surfboard according to the invention has an electric drive, preferably in the rear area of the surfboard; this is preferably a jet drive. The jet drive has an opening on the underwater surface of the surfboard and a water channel that runs from the underwater surface to a nozzle on the rear end of the surfboard. The nozzle can be designed to be pivotable or non-pivotable. A rotor is provided in the water channel. A rotor is understood to mean both a propeller and an impeller. The high speed of the rotor sucks water into the water channel and pushes it backwards out of the nozzle against the direction of travel, giving the surfboard the necessary propulsion. The rotor is connected via a drive train to an electric motor that is supplied with power via a preferably replaceable battery. The motor is also electrically connected according to the invention to a control that transmits control signals to the motor and thus controls the power of the drive, i.e. the speed of the surfboard. The control receives the necessary control signals via a preferably handheld remote control.
The surfboard preferably has an inflatable hull part and a drive unit. The hull part can be made from a drop-stitch material. The inflated hull part has a recess at the rear into which the drive unit can be detachably inserted. The surfboard can also consist of a solid hull made from a non-inflatable material. A drive for the surfboard, preferably a jet drive, is provided in the drive unit or inside the hull.
According to the invention, the control is connected to a receiver in a signal-conducting manner, the receiver receives the signals from the transmitter of a radio remote control. A handle has a throttle lever that is operatively connected to a transmitter of the radio remote control. The transmitter is arranged in the handle, and by operating the throttle lever, electrical signals are generated and sent to the transmitter, which converts them into radio signals that can be received by the receiver and converted by the control into control signals for the drive.
A wireless connection obviously has the advantage over a cable connection that there are no cables that disturb the surfer and no hull openings are necessary for plug connections.
According to the invention, the handle is connected to the surfboard by means of a rope. One end of the rope is attached to the bow and the other end of the rope is detachably connected to the handle. The surfboard thus has two different types of construction. In the first type of construction, the rope connected to the handle and board enables the surfer to advantageously keep his balance more easily. By detaching the handle from the rope, it is possible in the second type of construction to make surfing freer and more difficult for the surfer, as he has no pulling connection to the surfboard but instead holds the handle with the remote control freely in one hand and has to keep his balance without a rope.
Conveniently, one end of the rope is also detachably connected to the bow. By detaching both ends, the rope can be dispensed with completely and left on land while practicing the sport.
The controls of the surfboard are advantageously very easy to handle.
Preferably, the radio remote control comprises an RC (remote control) radio remote control. The RC radio remote control is a commercially available radio remote control, which is therefore inexpensive and proven.
Grundsätzlich sind auch andere ISM Bänder zur Übertragung der Funksignale denkbar.RC radio remote controls that transmit radio signals using pulse modulation in the ISM band have proven to be particularly reliable in transmitting control values. Compared to amplitude modulation, pulse modulation in radio signal transmission is less susceptible to interference. The transmission of radio signals is preferably in the 2.4 to 2.5 GHz ISM band. In principle, other ISM bands are also conceivable for transmitting radio signals.
Preferably, the handle has a grip section for grasping with one hand of the surfer, wherein a center of force is arranged centrally in the grip section.
While practicing the sport, the surfer stands on the board's tread and grasping the handle of the rope attached to the bow can help the surfer maintain balance. In doing so, the surfer can exert a significant force through the handle on the rope and bow, which can be equal to his body weight or several times his body weight during short bursts of force.
Preferably, one end of the rope is connected to the bow of the surfboard with a fastening means and/or another end of the rope is connected to the handle with another fastening means. Thus, one end of the rope can be permanently or detachably attached to the bow and the other end of the rope can be permanently or detachably attached to the handle.
Preferably, the fastening means and the additional fastening means can be removed without tools. The fastening means and/or the additional fastening means advantageously have a snap lock so that the handles can be easily replaced and the rope and handle can be removed from the bow of the surfboard, and the handle can be used purely as a remote control without a rope. The latter has the advantage that an experienced surfer who does not need the rope to maintain balance can use the handle as a radio remote control and then there is no potentially annoying rope. A knot should also be provided for the fastening means and/or additional fastening means.
Preferably, the additional fastening means for the other end of the rope is arranged at a distance vertically and centrally from the handle section. By gripping the handle section, a force center is created in the middle of the handle section when pulling, so that no torque acts on the wrist and the handle can be held by the surfer for longer.
The throttle lever is arranged in the handle in such a way that the surfer can operate the throttle lever with the hand with which he holds the handle and generates control values correlating with the position of the throttle lever.
Advantageously, by holding the handle firmly, the surfer can keep his balance on the surfboard and at the same time accelerate with the same hand.
The handle is preferably waterproof, as the surfer can fall off the board and the handle will fall into the water. For this reason, the handle preferably has an average density of p<1 g/cm 3 so that it floats on the water.
According to the invention, the handle is triangular in shape with rounded corners along its outer circumference and is also essentially triangular in shape on the inside, with the handle section preferably being ergonomically designed. Various Any shape for the handle is possible, for example semicircular, circular, oval shapes, etc.
In a first embodiment not according to the invention, the throttle lever is designed as a retractable push button in the handle section. Here, the push button can preferably be operated using the index finger.
In a second embodiment of the invention, the drive control has a movably arranged throttle lever that can be operated on the outside of the handle with the surfer's thumb. The throttle lever can be arranged so that it can pivot about an axis and have a pressure surface that is placed in front of the thumb when the handle section is naturally gripped.
In a third embodiment not according to the invention, the throttle lever is arranged inside the handle. The throttle lever can be conveniently operated with the surfer's index finger or middle finger.

The
The
The
When surfing, the
The
The
