State of the art

A generic container is for example from DE 20 2011 002 617 U1 known. In a use position, the four side walls are upright and extend perpendicular to the floor. In a folded position, the four side walls extend parallel to the floor, the first side walls extending below and the second side walls above the floor. Latching recesses are provided on the second side walls, which can interact with latching tongues correspondingly provided on the cover when the cover is placed on the erected side walls. The lid and the bottom of the container after DE 20 2011 002 617 U1 are designed with stacking edges in such a way that lateral displacement of the cover is prevented even when the cover is placed on the folded-in side walls.

The problem of the container after DE 20 2011 002 617 U1 is that the lid is not secured against lifting when the lid is placed on the folded side walls.

The object of the present invention is therefore to provide a collapsible container, the components of which also hold together in a collapsed state.

This object is achieved by the features of claim 1. Advantageous further developments are the subject of the subclaims.

A hinged container according to the invention has a bottom, side walls, a lid, a closure element, at least one first closure element counterpart and at least one second closure element counterpart.

In particular, the base has a rectangular outline so that the hinged container has, in particular, four side walls.

The side walls are pivotably articulated to an edge of the floor. In an upright position, a respective side wall extends upwards transversely to the floor. In a folded position, a respective side wall extends at least essentially parallel to the floor. “Essentially parallel” means that a position in which there is a slight inclination of one of the side walls, for example due to a plurality of side walls lying one on top of the other, is also considered to be a folded position.

In particular, the side walls are hinged to the floor in such a way that they can only be folded inward from the erected position into the folded position.

The lid is designed to be placed on the side walls in the erected position in order to close the hinged container. This position of the lid relative to the side walls and the floor is referred to below as the closed position. Furthermore, the cover is designed to be placed on the side walls in the folded-in position so that it can be stowed in a space-saving manner when empty. This position of the lid relative to the side walls and the floor is referred to below as the stowage position. In particular, the cover has stacking contours which can interact with the side walls and / or the base in order to prevent or at least make it more difficult to move the cover laterally in relation to the side walls and base when the cover is placed on the side walls.

The closure element is provided at least partially in a section of an edge of the lid in order to close the lid when it is placed on the erected side walls or when it is in the closed position. The closure element is movable in relation to the cover. In particular, the closure element in the form of a locking bar is designed separately from the cover and is movably connected to the cover.

"Closing" is understood to mean locking the cover.

The at least one first closure element counterpart is provided on an edge of the side walls facing away from the bottom, in particular on an upper edge of the side walls, on the side walls such that in the closed position of the lid the at least one first closure element counterpart can interact positively with the closure element.

At least one groove can be provided on the edge of the cover, into which, in the closed position of the cover, at least a section of the edge of the side walls facing away from the bottom protrudes. The side walls of the container according to the invention can be designed in such a way that two opposing first side walls must be in the folded position so that two opposing second side walls can be folded in. Detailed description of preferred embodiments

Fig. 1 shows a container 2, with a base 4, two first side walls 6 and 8, two second side walls 10 and 12, a lid 14 and a closure element 16. In Fig. 4 it is shown that the lid 14 has on its underside at its edge an edge web 22 which extends downward when the lid 14 is in the closed position. The edge web 22 extends along the entire circumference of the cover. A rib 24, offset inwards, runs parallel to the edge web 22. The lid 14 has on its underside at its edge a circumferential bulge 27 which extends upwards when the lid 14 is in the closed position. In order to move the first side walls 6 and 8 from the folded position to the upright position as easily as possible and to be able to carry the container 2 as ergonomically as possible, the first side walls 6 and 8 each have a recessed grip 28 (see FIG Fig. 1 and Fig. 4 ).

The closure element 16 is designed to lock the cover 14 both in the closed position and in the stowed position.

The closure element 16 is arranged in a recess 22 on the upper side of the cover 14 that extends up to the edge of the cover 14 or up to the rib 24. The respective first closure element counterpart 34 is designed as a slot on the upper edge of the second side walls 10 and 12 (see FIG Fig. 2 ).

The recess 22 or the openings for the latching lugs 32 and the latching lugs 32 are designed such that the latching lugs 32 are in engagement with corresponding second closure element counterparts 36 in the stowed position of the cover 14.

The respective second closure element counterpart 36 is designed as a slot on the upper edge of the edge webs 18 of the base 4 (see FIG Fig. 1 , Figure 5A and Fig. 7 ).

The closure element 16 is designed as a U-shaped bracket insofar as the two locking lugs 34 are each implemented by a free end of the closure element 16. The closure element 16 is connected to the cover 14 or the recess 30 of the cover 14 in such a way that it moves from the closed position to an open position (not shown) is displaceable. In the open position, the closure element 16 cannot be brought into engagement with the first closure element counterparts 34 and not with the second closure element counterparts 36.

The closure element 16 has two elastically deformable sections, hereinafter referred to as spring sections 38. On an edge of the cover 14, which is opposite the edge of the cover 14 provided with the closure element 16, the cover 14 has two inwardly protruding hook elements 40 on an inside of the edge web 22. The hook elements 40 are designed and arranged such that in the closed position of the cover 14 they each engage with a corresponding first hook element counterpart 42 and in the stowed position of the cover 14 they each engage with a corresponding second hook element counterpart.

The slots on the upper edge of the second side walls 10 and 12, which form the first locking element counterparts 34, also form the first hook element counterparts 42 (see FIG Fig. 2 ).

The slots on the upper edge of the edge webs 18 of the base 4, which form the second locking element counterparts 36, also form the second hook element counterparts 44 (see FIG Fig. 1 ).

The latching lugs 32 protrude from the inside into the corresponding first and second counterpart of the locking element, whereas the hook elements 40 each protrude from the outside into the corresponding first and second hook element counterpart 42 and 44. The container 302 according to the second embodiment differs from the container 2 according to the first embodiment with regard to the design of the closure element. A lid 314 of the container 302 is equipped with two closure elements 316. These closure elements 316 are slidably mounted in a recess 330 on an upper side of the cover 314. Furthermore, a handle 346 is pivotably mounted in the recess 330.

The handle 346 has the shape of a U-shaped bracket. The free ends of the handle 346 are each connected to the cover 314 via a joint or a hinge. The handle is arranged centrally on the cover 314. A closure element 316 is assigned to each of the two free ends. Each of the two closure elements 316 extends from the corresponding free end of the handle 346 to the edge of the cover 314.
