Description

The present invention relates to an element facade according to the preamble of claim 1.

The DE 10 2005 044 459 A1 discloses a fastening device for fastening facade elements of an element facade to a building. Each facade element is held on the building via two assembly fixing elements, with one of the assembly fixing elements forming a fixed bearing and the second assembly fixing element forming a floating bearing on which the facade element can be moved within a certain area in order to be able to compensate for expansion of the facade element. To guide the movement, an elongated hole is provided so that the facade element can be moved linearly on one of the mounting fixing elements and can carry out compensating movements. Furthermore, coupling elements can be provided between two adjacent facade elements, which hold the two facade elements together but allow movement in one direction, in particular to compensate for thermal expansion. With such element facades, it can happen that the assembly fixing element, which acts as a floating bearing, limits movement, for example because the end of the elongated hole has been reached. This can then lead to constraints and noise. In addition, this state is not statically determined.

US 4,712,345 discloses a device for connecting facade elements of an element facade according to the preamble of claim 1.

It is therefore the object of the present invention to create an element facade that enables improved attachment of facade elements.

This task is solved with an element facade with the features of claim 1.

In the element facade according to the invention, the fastening device holds the first facade element on a building via at least two mounting elements, with at least one of the mounting elements enabling movement of the facade element along a guide in a first direction. In addition, a coupling element is provided between the facade element and another facade element, which has a first part and a second part. The first part has at least one projection, which is guided in the first direction between two guide webs on the second part, a stop being provided on at least one of the parts of the coupling element, which limits the movement of the at least one projection between the guide webs. This allows the movement of the facade element in the first direction to be limited via the coupling element, so that the mounting element, on which a guide for the facade element is formed, is prevented from being loaded with high forces when the end of the linear guide is reached. Before the mounting element is loaded, the coupling element can limit movement of the facade element in order to avoid constraint in the system or noise development. Forces can be transmitted between two adjacent facade elements via the coupling element according to the invention, which act in the direction of the guide in the first direction.

Preferably, two stops are provided on the coupling element, which limit the range of movement of the at least one projection relative to the two guide webs in the first direction. The projection can then be moved in the first direction within the range of movement, for example to cover a distance of 3 mm to 30 mm, in particular between 5 mm to 20 mm.

For a simple and compact structure, the at least one stop is designed as a bolt which passes through the two guide webs at openings. The bolt can be made of metal or a hard plastic in order to be able to withstand correspondingly high forces.

For good guidance in the first direction, the projection can be designed as a strip-shaped web. Then the guide webs, which are also strip-shaped, and the projection can rest against one another along a contact surface, which enables good guidance. The guide webs can be designed to be longer than the projection, so that the stop is arranged on a part of the guide webs that protrudes beyond the projection.

The coupling element according to the invention can have two guide webs and a single projection which engages between the guide webs. It is also possible for a further projection to be provided next to the projection, so that one of the two guide webs engages between the two projections. Then the projections and the guide webs are nested in one another in a fork-like manner, which enables improved guidance in the longitudinal direction. Optionally, more than two guide bars or more than two Projections may be provided. The projections are integral with the first part and the guide webs are integral with the second part of the coupling element.

According to the invention, an element facade is provided with at least two facade elements, which are connected to the building and to one another via the fastening device. The guidance through the coupling element preferably takes place in the first direction, which is designed as a horizontal direction, so that the coupling element is arranged on the top or a bottom of a facade element in order to connect two adjacent facade elements to one another.

An element facade 1 comprises several facade elements 2, which can be attached to a building, not shown. Each facade element comprises a surrounding frame on which at least one filling element, in particular a glass pane, is provided. The assembly of the facade elements 2 on the building can be done as described in DE 10 2005 044 459 A1 is described. Furthermore, two adjacent facade elements 2 are connected to one another via at least one coupling element 3.

Like the representation of the Figure 2 shows, each facade element 2 includes a frame profile 20, on which a filling element 21, such as an insulating glass pane, is held. Between two frame profiles 20 of two adjacent facade elements 2, a coupling element 3 is arranged, which has a first part 4 and a second part 5. The first part 4 is screwed to a first frame profile 20, while the second part 5 is screwed to a second frame profile 20 of an adjacent facade element 2. The first part 4 comprises a projection 10 which engages between two guide webs 8 on the second part 5, so that the coupling element 3 forms a linear guide for the adjacent facade elements 2. Next to the projection 10, an optional further strip-shaped projection 11 is arranged.

The coupling element 3 is in Figure 3 shown in its individual parts. The coupling element 3 comprises a first part 4, on which a strip-shaped first projection 10 and an adjacent second projection 11 are provided. The first part 4 is formed in one piece, for example from a molded part or an extruded profile, made of metal and/or plastic.

The coupling element 3 further comprises a second part 5, which has two spaced guide webs 8, between which a gap-shaped receptacle for the projection 10 is formed. As a result, the first part 4 is guided linearly relative to the second part 5. Two openings are also formed on the guide webs 8, through which a stop 6 in the form of a bolt passes.

In Figure 4 the coupling element 3 is shown in a mounted position. The projection 10 engages in the receptacle 9 between the guide webs 8, while the second projection 11 rests on an outside of a guide web 8. This guide web is in turn held displaceably between the two projections 10 and 11. In order to limit the range of movement between the first part 4 and the second part 5, two stops 6 are provided. Both stops 6 are formed on the second part 5, on a section that protrudes beyond the first part 4. For this purpose, the second part 5 is designed with a length L that is longer than the length l of the first part 4. The range of movement of the first part 4 relative to the second part 5 can be in a range between 3 mm to 30 mm, preferably 5 mm up to 20 mm, before one of the two stops 6 limits the movement.

In Figure 5 the coupling element 3 is shown again, with the mounting openings 41 and 51 also shown on the first part 4 and the second part 5. The first part 4 and the second part 5 are each designed as strip-shaped profiles which have a bottom section 40 and 50, respectively, on which several mounting openings 41 and 51 are left out. The mounting openings 41 and 51 are formed on the two outwardly projecting sections of the bottom section 40 and 50, which protrude laterally from the guide webs 8 and the projections 10 and 11, respectively. The first part 4 can be fixed to a first facade element 2 and the second part 5 to a second facade element 2 via the mounting openings 41 and 51.

In Figure 6 the installation situation between two frame profiles 20 is shown, the first part 4 being screwed to the lower frame profile 20 and the second part 5 being screwed to the upper frame profile 20. The distance between the frame profiles of the facade elements 2 is a height h, which can be in the range between 5 mm and 20 mm, for example. The projection 10 engages between the two guide webs 8, with the further projection 11 being arranged on the outside of the one guide web 8 in such a way that it is guided between the two projections 10 and 11. The range of movement is limited by a stop 6 ', which, unlike the previous stop, does not have a head section, but is only cylindrical. This stop 6' can be fixed on opposite sides by securing means, for example split pins or other fastening means, in order to avoid movement in the longitudinal direction.

In Figure 7 a modified embodiment of a coupling element is shown, which is mounted between two frame profiles 20. A first part 4' and a second part 5' are designed in such a way that the guide webs 8' on the second part 5' are longer and the two projections 10' and 11' are also longer, so that the distance between the two frame profiles H is in a range between 15 mm to 40 mm. Otherwise, the functionality corresponds to the previous embodiment.

At least one coupling element 3 according to the invention is mounted between two facade elements 2, preferably on a top or bottom side, so that the first direction in which movement between the adjacent facade elements 2 is permitted is aligned horizontally. Optionally, corresponding coupling elements can also be provided on the vertical frame profiles.
