Definitions

  • the invention relates to a pallet made of plastic according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • pallets are available on the market that are made either from wood or from plastic, in particular by injection molding.
  • the advantage of the wooden pallet is a certain degree of robustness and low manufacturing costs, but wooden pallets are increasingly being replaced by plastic pallets, especially for the transport and storage of high-quality goods.
  • plastic pallets are now very robust and are usually designed for very long operating and use times of 10 years and beyond, and plastic pallets are far less dirty in use because they are quick and thorough in a simple manner compared to wooden pallets can be cleaned.
  • the pallets are available in different standard sizes, in particular in sizes of 800 ⁇ 1200 mm, 800 ⁇ 1000 mm, to name just a few standard sizes by way of example.
  • pallets are often used, which are referred to as half pallets and, purely for example, have standard dimensions of 800 ⁇ 600 mm.
  • These half pallets are particularly suitable as a supplement to the standard pallets with dimensions of 800 ⁇ 1200 mm.
  • the pallets usually have in common are designed with runners on the underside, through which the pallet stands on the surface.
  • three runners are used for pallets in the usual standard dimensions, which are arranged parallel to one another and at a distance from one another as well as parallel to a pallet edge.
  • the two outer runners are on two opposite edges of the pallet and the third runner is in the middle of the pallet Pallet arranged.
  • the adjacent skids on the underside of the cover plate of the pallet define access openings between them, which facilitate transport using conventional lifting devices. These access openings are used so that the tines of forklifts or pallet trucks can be inserted under the cover plate of the pallet between the runners and the pallet can thereby be raised for transport and placed again at the desired storage location by lowering it.
  • the runners are each arranged via support feet at a distance from the cover plate, with three support feet usually being used per runner. These support feet also form engagement openings between them for the insertion of tines of forklifts or similar lifting devices, so that the pallet can also be gripped and transported on the narrow side of lifting devices. In this respect, it is usually possible to pick up the pallet using conventional lifting devices by engaging tines from all sides of the pallet.
  • the problem with transporting loaded pallets using motor-operated lifting devices or manually operated hand pallet trucks is that the tines often hit the skids when the lifting devices are retracted under the pallet or under the upper deck of the pallet, depending on the force or frequency of the impact or impact can lead to damage to the skid area of the pallets.
  • This problem occurs particularly in pallets with reduced standard dimensions, i.e. in particular in half pallets with standard sizes of 800 x 600 mm, for example. Due to the width of the two tines of the lifting devices, there is only little room for the thickness of the outer support feet on the pallet edges. This means that the smaller the standard size of the pallet, the less space or thickness is available for the outer support feet, which must be flush with the edges of the pallet on the outside.
  • the outer support feet have to be made comparatively thin or thin-walled, which entails an increased risk of damage to the runners, i.e. the lower part of the pallet including the support feet, in these areas brings.
  • wooden pallets for example, are either fitted with metal profiles on the outer surfaces or are made entirely of metal profiles, which is not the case with plastic pallets.
  • ends of the support skids of plastic pallets with the outer support feet arranged thereon form weak points with a not insignificant risk of breakage if lifting devices are operated carelessly. This has led to plastic pallets in these areas often being made from hollow profiles with internal reinforcements, However, if a shock is initiated, this can ultimately lead to damage to the upper deck.
  • Pallets made of plastic are known in the prior art, in which runners can be connected to the cover plate of the pallet via plug-in extensions and can be releasably attached using locking elements, so that if a runner is damaged, it can be completely replaced ( DE 10 2014 219 398 A1 ). Furthermore, it is known (EP 2 722 285 A1 ), to provide pallets with rod-shaped stiffening elements in the skid area. For this purpose, the stiffening elements are inserted into recesses in the runner and fastened via lateral stabilizing elements in plate form, which can be inserted into recesses in the runner. The attachment is done via locking hooks, so that the stiffening elements of the runners can be replaced if they wear out.
  • pallets with linear skid elements are known in the prior art ( EP 1 354 807 A2 , DE 10 2008 0478 56 A1 , WO 01/76 9 60 A1 ), whereby the skid elements are connected to the pallet support feet.
  • ES 1 071 497 are known plastic pallets that are equipped with runners. The connection of the runners to the cover plate takes place via the support feet of the runners.
  • the object of the invention is to create a simply constructed pallet that enables quick and easy replacement in the event of damage to the pallet. According to a further aspect, damage to the remaining pallet parts, in particular the upper deck, should be avoided in the event of impact loads, in particular when retracting the tines of lifting devices.
  • the several, usually three, runners below the cover plate of the pallet are each divided into several runner elements, preferably each runner into two separate runner elements, which then form the runner in the mounted position on the pallet.
  • Each skid of the pallet is specially equipped, namely in that the skid as such has support foot-like angled end sections at its two ends, which form skid support members, which, together with further support feet on the underside of the cover plate of the pallet, keep the skids at a distance from the underside of the cover plate and between or between themselves and the support feet on the underside of the cover plate of the pallet, limit corresponding engagement openings for the engagement of tines of conventional lifting devices.
  • the angled skid support members provided at the ends of each skid take on the function of conventional support feet on the underside of the cover plate of the pallet.
  • the skid support members are formed at the ends of the skid base of the skid, on the underside of which the pallet rests on the ground after being parked by the lifting device.
  • the runner is divided into separate runner elements, in particular into a pair of runner elements, i.e. the runner is divided into two runner elements.
  • the subdivision or division expediently takes place in the area of the runner base, with two runner elements in particular being formed in the case of a central runner division. In the assembled position, these complement each other, possibly including the underside of a support foot of the pallet, to form a continuous skid base.
  • the skid is releasably connected to the cover plate via the skid support members, the free end of each skid element, which lies opposite the corresponding skid support member, expediently being releasably connected to a support foot of the cover plate. If damage occurs in a skid area, for example due to careless handling of lifting devices, then it is not the entire skid that needs to be replaced, but rather only the damaged part of the skid in the form of a separate skid element.
  • the skid is divided transversely to the skid base into at least two, but preferably two, skid elements, each skid element being L-shaped according to the invention, and the L-legs through the skid support members and the L-web through the corresponding skid base Skid element is formed.
  • the fact that the skid support members are expediently designed identically to one another results in a flush design of the skid base, in particular its underside, after the skid elements have been installed.
  • the skid elements each forming a skid can be releasably connected to the cover plate via their skid support members by a positive plug-in connection and/or, if necessary, a latching connection be.
