Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a rotating fan brush type hairdressing appliance comprising a handle with two zones of different diameters D1 and D2, the first diameter being substantially greater than the second (D1> D2), the zone of greater diameter.
  • D1 housing a compressor for obtaining a substantially constant air flow and a gripping area of diameter D2 allowing a grip more ergonomic compared to the devices of the state of the art.
  • Rotating blower brushes are well known to those skilled in the art. They work like a hairdryer whose handle is coaxial with the hair accessory.
  • This type of apparatus generally comprises a heating means and two motors, one of the two motors for actuating a fan located in the handle and the second motor for rotating the generally removable hairdressing accessory.
  • This second motor can be in the handle or outside the handle.
  • EP3169182; WO2013041805; EP2823726; EP1576900; DE3319402; WO2005 / 018372 and US3890984 describe typical rotating fan brushes.
  • JP2004-254897 discloses a rotating blower brush with a first motor arranged in the handle which serves to produce an air flow and a second motor arranged in the brush for driving the brush in rotation.
  • EP2335515 B1 discloses an electric hairbrush having a handle, a heating element, a first drive motor of a fan and a second drive motor in rotation of a hairdressing accessory where the fan and the first motor is included inside the handle and the second motor outside the handle.
  • the rotating fan brushes of the state of the art have in common a very bulky and ergonomic handle even when the drive motor of the accessory is outside thereof.
  • the business trip the second motor out of the handle has already freed a little space for the flow of air but even in this configuration, the handle is still very bulky. This is mainly due to the difficulty of circulating the air through the handle with all the elements necessary for the operation of the device and in particular the often large diameter of the fan which must be in the handle and which sucks the air at one end of the handle to reject it from the other.
  • the present invention provides a significant improvement in the flow of air flow and ergonomics of use of the device.
  • the present invention aims to overcome the disadvantages of the state of the art by proposing a rotating electric blower having a handle with two substantially different diameters allowing one hand to house a powerful compressor in the wider part and d on the other hand refine the maximum grip area of the device to improve ergonomics without sacrificing the functions of the device. Summary of the invention

  • the cylindrical brush 17 is made of a metal covered with a ceramic layer
  • a temperature sensor is placed on the support rod to allow the air flow and the heating power of the apparatus to be adapted;
  • the brush comprises a detection system of the cylindrical brush type to adapt the air flow, the heating power of the device and the rotational speed of the engine.
  • Figure 1 shows the flow of air flow around a conventional rotating rotating brush of the state of the art.
  • the outgoing air flow is poorly distributed around the brush and chooses the exit path of least resistance.
  • Figure 2 shows the flow of air flow around a rotary rotating brush according to the invention with arrangements of openings in concentric circles whose diameter decreases away from the handle. The air flow is thus uniformly distributed around the brush.
  • Figure 3 shows a 3D figure of the rotating fan brush according to the invention with its two different handle diameters.
  • Figure 4 shows the arrangement of the compressor in the widest part of the handle diameter D1 and the fins of the air flow rectification in the transition zone between the diameters D1 and D2 of the handle.
  • Figure 5 shows the frame of the apparatus according to the invention with the inner elements but without the cylindrical brush.
  • This representation shows the support rod that leaves the handle supporting the second motor and that allows via a polygonal coupling element to drive the cylindrical brush in rotation.
  • Figure 6 is another representation of the apparatus according to the invention from the outside.
  • FIG. 7 shows in detail the arrangement of the compressor in the wide part D1 of the handle.
  • FIGS 8 and 9 show front and rear views of the apparatus according to the invention.

  • FIG. 17 represents a 3D view of the support rod of the second motor.
  • Figure 18 shows an exploded view of the support rod of the second motor.
  • the present invention discloses an electric rotary blower having a particularly ergonomic elongated handle in which are arranged a heating means and a compressor driven by a first motor for sucking air at one end of the apparatus and blow it through heating elements to a rotating accessory.
  • the rotating accessory is preferably a removable cylindrical brush with tufts of bristles, arranged on a support rod at the opposite end of the handle and driven by a second motor arranged outside the handle on a support rod located in the longitudinal axis of the handle.
  • This configuration makes hair shaping faster and more homogeneous than the apparatus of the state of the art (FIG. 3).
  • the air passage location between the handle and the support rod of the second engine has been the subject of a thorough aerodynamic study.
  • the aerodynamic tip-shaped shape associated with rocket-like fin fins allows optimized airflow through the apparatus. It also simplifies the construction of the apparatus at the molded plastic parts and allows a solid and simplified attachment of said support rod to the handle.
  • the handle is formed of two half-shells which are assembled and tightened around the fixing fins of the support rod of the second motor by an assembly ring. This construction makes it possible to simplify the construction of the apparatus while ensuring the rigidity of the fixation of the support rod of the second motor (FIG. 12).
  • the rotary blower brush comprises a handle with two diameters D1 and D2 substantially different.

  • the removable cylindrical brush has tufts of bristles and air outlet openings distributed by section or by decreasing number towards the end of the apparatus on its cylindrical surface (see FIGS. 8, 10 and 11).
  • the air intake through the outer protection grid, must be centered on the longitudinal axis of the device, which results in an off-center positioning of the power supply.
  • the off-center positioning of the power supply causes the need for a rotating electrical contact at the point of connection with the cable to improve the ergonomics of the device during different grips by the user (see FIGS. 13).
  • the apparatus according to the present invention also comprises a mechanism for recognizing the accessory used, for example cylindrical brushes of different diameter.
  • This recognition mechanism allows control of the air flow, the heating power and the speed of rotation of the rotary brush.
  • the air outlet openings on the cylindrical brush are arranged at least partly in concentric circles whose diameter becomes smaller and smaller away from the handle (see Figures 10 and 1 1).
  • the motor support rod leaving the handle, having in its hollow portion the drive motor of the brush and a gearbox comprises a male polygonal coupling element at the end which cooperates with a corresponding female recess on the brush allows a quick assembly and disassembly of the accessory.
  • the support rod, once assembled, is closed by a cap that closes the assembly (see Figure 18).
  • the coupling element is square and is directly fixed on the axis of the gearbox of the second motor without no intermediate part.
  • the motors used are preferably brushless motors, but one can also consider an ordinary engine. In both cases a force torque limitation or mechanical disengagement can be envisaged if a given torque is exceeded in order not to force the motor during improper use.
  • the air intake which passes through an outer gate, a filter and an internal grid.
  • the filter generally made of plastic foam, is held by a support, here in the form of a spider (see FIG. 13). To allow cleaning of these elements, the external suction grille is hinged.
