Definitions

  • the invention relates to a chair with a release element.
  • a chair is known from practice which comprises a support frame, a support unit which is arranged on the support frame and a seat element and a backrest element, which are each carried by the support unit.
  • This known chair can either be designed as a seated chair on which a user can sit down or be designed as a standing chair that supports a user when standing and can serve as a standing aid.
  • previously known chairs cannot be designed as combined sitting and standing chairs, since they can slide or roll away when used as a standing chair when a user is standing on the sitting and standing chair or leans against it.
  • no sitting and standing chair can be designed with castors, since it would roll away when used as a standing chair.
  • roles are particularly advantageous when moving a chair designed as a seat chair quickly and easily.
  • Such a roller for a piece of furniture and in particular for a chair comprises a roller body, which can be connected to the piece of furniture or the chair, and at least one roller which is rotatably mounted on the roller body via a roller axis.
  • WO 2007/110732 A2 describes a chair with a bracket and a spring mechanism supporting the bracket.
  • the spring mechanism can be adjusted via a lever so that a restoring force of the spring mechanism can be adapted to the weight of a person.
  • a mechanism for adjusting the height of the chair contains a compression spring and is coupled to a lever mechanism via a cable.
  • the invention is based on the object of creating a chair of the type mentioned in the introduction which avoids unintentional sliding or rolling.
  • a chair as defined in claim 1 comprising a support frame, a support unit which is arranged on the support frame, and a seat element and a backrest element.
  • the seat element and the backrest element are each carried by the support unit.
  • the chair also comprises a first release element which is arranged between the support unit and the seat element.
  • At least one Bowden cable engages at least one functional element on the release element.
  • the release element can also be adjusted between a rest position, in which it does not act on the at least one Bowden cable, and an activation position, in which it acts on the at least one Bowden cable and thus activates the functional element.
  • the release element is prestressed into its rest position by means of a release element clamping means.
  • the release element is designed in such a way that the adjustment from its rest position to its activation position takes place by means of the weight of an object acting on the release element.
  • the chair according to the invention is thus designed in such a way that, for example, placing an object with a corresponding weight or placing a user on the seat element activate the functional element.
  • the chair is thus moved from a passive position, in which its position cannot be changed or can only be changed with the use of a large amount of thrust, into an active position, in which its position can be changed in a simple manner, which can be done for example by moving or rolling the chair.
  • the object can for example be a person, an animal or an object.
  • the chair is in its passive position. For example, if a user sits down on the seat element, his weight activates the release element, which acts on the functional element by means of the at least one Bowden cable and activates it.
  • the functional element can be any element of the chair that directly or indirectly prevents unintentional sliding or rolling.
  • the first release element is a flap element which can be pivoted about a flap element axis. Such an element can be reduced in a simple manner Form construction height. In addition, a lever can be created in this way which enables the folding element to be actuated even with a low weight force.
  • the support frame comprises a central column, the central column also being conceivable as a telescopic central column which has an anti-twist device and includes at least one outer sleeve and one inner sleeve.
  • a center column is known, for example, from swivel chairs and, as a telescopic center column, allows the support unit to be adjusted in height relative to the support frame.
  • the anti-twist device serves to prevent the two sleeves from twisting against each other.
  • a central column is used for the stability of the chair, since it forms a central element on which the support unit can be arranged and on which chair legs can be arranged.
  • the Bowden cable has a loop section which is preferably arranged in the telescopic center column.
  • the Bowden cable is at least so long that the chair can be adjusted in height without impairing the function of the release element or the Bowden cable. Because of the loop, the function of the Bowden cable is independent of the extension position of the telescopic center column or the height of the seat element.
  • the chair in a further preferred embodiment of the chair according to the invention, it also comprises a second release element which is arranged below the seat element. At least one Bowden cable of at least one functional element engages the second release element.
  • the second release element can be adjusted between a rest position, in which it does not act on the at least one Bowden cable, and an activation position, in which it acts on the at least one Bowden cable and thus activates the functional element.
  • the second release element is also preloaded into its rest position by means of a release element clamping means, the second release element being designed such that the adjustment from its rest position to its activation position takes place by means of an adjustment force.
  • a release lever is conceivable, for example, which activates / can activate one or more functional elements, this being the the same / the same or different functional element (s) can act which can be activated by means of the first release element.
  • the tensile force that a user can apply by hand or foot actuation can serve as the adjustment force.
  • the chair in a further preferred embodiment, it comprises a third release element which is arranged on the backrest element and on which at least one Bowden cable of at least one functional element engages.
  • the third release element is adjustable between a rest position, in which it does not act on the at least one Bowden cable, and an activation position, in which it acts on the at least one Bowden cable and thus activates the functional element.
  • the third release element is preloaded into its rest position by means of a release element clamping means, the third release element being designed such that the adjustment from its rest position into its activation position takes place by means of an adjustment force.
  • the third release element can, for example, be a release button, via which corresponding functional elements can be activated.
  • This can be the same / the same or different functional element (s) which can be activated by means of the first release element and / or the second release element.
  • the pressure force that a user can apply by manual actuation can serve as the adjusting force.
  • the chair can in particular comprise at least one roller element which serves as a functional element.
  • the chair can in particular comprise a locking foot which serves as a functional element.
  • the chair can in particular comprise a backrest blocking device which serves as a functional element.
  • the chair can comprise a rotation lock arrangement which serves as a functional element.
  • a chair comprising a support frame, a support unit which is arranged on the support frame, a seat element and a backrest element, which are each carried by the support unit, and a functional element serving role element.
  • Each roller element comprises a roller body, which can be connected to the chair, and at least one roller which is rotatably mounted on the roller body via a roller axis.
  • the roller element comprises a locking device which can be adjusted between a free-running position in which the at least one roller is free to run and a locking position in which the at least one roller is locked.
  • the roller element also includes a first Bowden cable which engages the locking device in order to move it optionally from its locking position to its free-running position when the first Bowden cable is actuated.
  • the main advantage of the roller element is in particular that it can be adjusted between its free-wheeling position and its locking position by means of a Bowden cable.
  • a chair can be provided with at least one such roller element. If necessary, the chair can thus be easily rolled or has sufficient stability, which reliably prevents the chair from slipping or rolling away unintentionally.
  • the advantage of the first Bowden cable is that the adjustment of the roller element can be triggered at a location on the chair that is far away from the roller element, which can lead to easy operation of the chair.
  • the locking device can function in the manner of an electronic parking brake, which can only be adjusted between complete locking or blocking and complete freewheeling and thus has only two positions and no active position in between. In this case, the locking device is therefore not used to decelerate rollers in the sense of a deceleration brake.
  • the first Bowden cable can run between the release element and the locking device of the roller element. In its passive position, the at least one roller element of the chair is therefore locked. The chair is therefore secured against unintentional slipping or rolling. The chair can only be pushed against the frictional force acting between the castors and the floor. If a user now sits on the seating element or does a user provide one Object on the seat element, for example, the first release element is moved from its rest position into its activation position by the weight acting on it. As a result, the release element in turn acts on the first Bowden cable and moves the locking device from its locking position into its free-running position. As long as a user is sitting on the seat element or an object is lying on the seat element, the chair with roller elements can be easily rolled.
  • the locking device further comprises a locking toothing, which is arranged on the roller, and a locking pawl, which is arranged on the roller body and is adjustable between the free-running position and the locking position.
  • the at least one roller is locked in that at least one locking element of the locking pawl engages in the locking toothing.
  • a pawl tensioning means is provided which biases the locking pawl into its locking position.
  • the first Bowden cable engages the locking pawl in order to move the locking pawl optionally from its locking position into its free-running position when the first Bowden cable is actuated.
  • a construction of this type serves to permanently secure a passive position of the chair, to a large extent through the interaction of the locking toothing and the at least one locking element.
  • the first Bowden cable is guided out of the chair into the roller body in such a way that it is penetrated by a roller body axis via which the roller body can be rotated relative to the chair.
  • a roller element is formed that can be rotated up to a certain angle in relation to the chair.
  • a rotatable bearing is arranged between the roller element and the chair, which prevents the Bowden cable from being wound up.
  • the locking pawl is pivotably mounted on the roller body via a locking pawl axis.
  • the pivoting or rotational movement of the locking pawl enables easy adjustment between its free-running position and its locked position.
  • a rotary movement requires considerably less guidance of the locking pawl, which avoids tilting.
  • the locking pawl has an arcuate outer surface, the geometric center of which lies on the roller axis.
  • a locking pawl is created which corresponds at least in sections to a radius of the roller.
  • a large contact area can also be formed between the locking pawl and the locking toothing.
  • a large number of locking elements can, for example, be formed on the enlarged surface, as a result of which multiple and very secure engagement of the locking elements in the locking toothing is possible. Due to a large number of locking elements engaging the locking toothing, the thrust force acting on the chair for rotating the roller is evenly distributed over the locking elements, whereby only a small force acts on each individual locking element.
  • the locking device can be designed to be gentle on the material.
  • the locking element is formed in the locking pawl. It is conceivable here that the at least one locking element is designed as a recess within the locking pawl body and the locking pawl lies over the locking toothing to produce the locking position. In other words, the locking toothing engages in the locking pawl. In this way, a small and space-saving locking pawl can be formed.
  • the latch tensioning means acts in the radial direction with respect to the roller axis.
  • the pawl tensioning means can be supported in the central section of the roller body, which leads to an advantageous distribution of forces acting within the roller body.
  • the pawl tensioning means is arranged between the roller axis and the locking pawl.
  • Such an arrangement allows a compact roller element to be formed, since the pawl tensioning means can be supported on the roller body which is immovable with respect to the at least one roller.
  • the latch tensioning means is a compression spring.
  • a compression spring is to be understood as any resilient element which the Locking pawl biased into its locking position.
  • the compression spring can therefore be designed, for example, as a helical spring or a leaf spring.
  • the locking toothing has locking recesses that are open in the direction of the roller axis.
  • the locking elements engage in the locking recesses.
  • the shape of the locking recesses advantageously corresponds to the shape of the locking elements.
  • the locking recesses can be arranged at regular intervals with respect to the roller axis and thereby form the locking teeth so that the fastest possible engagement can take place in every position of the locking recesses relative to the at least one locking element.
  • a chair comprising a support frame, a support unit which is arranged on the support frame, and a seat element and a backrest element, which are each carried by the support unit.
  • the chair comprises a locking foot serving as a functional element, comprising a locking body, which can be connected to the chair and is height-adjustable between a raised release position and a lowered locking position.
  • the locking body is preloaded into its locking position by means of a foot tensioning device.
  • the locking foot comprises a second Bowden cable which engages the locking foot in order to move the locking body optionally from its locking position into its release position when the second Bowden cable is actuated.
  • the height of the locking foot is thus adjusted in its lowered locking position to brake the chair or to fix a position of the chair.
  • the locking foot can act additionally or as an alternative to the at least one roller element on the chair.
  • the advantage of the second Bowden cable is that the adjustment of the locking foot can be triggered at a location on the chair that is far away from the locking foot, which can lead to easy operation of the chair.
  • the locking foot has a guide slot in which a guide pin firmly connected to the chair engages. This ensures that the locking foot functions reliably and that it functions correctly.
  • the locking body can be rotated about a vertical locking foot axis between its release position and its locking position. Such a rotational movement avoids tilting or jamming of the locking body and a long-lasting locking foot is formed.
  • the locking foot has, at least in sections, a locking covering on its bottom surface.
  • a locking lining essentially serves to create a high frictional force between the chair and the floor under the chair. The greater the frictional force when moving the chair in its passive position or when the locking foot is in the lowered locking position, the more difficult it is to move the chair.
  • a chair comprising a support frame, a support unit which is arranged on the support frame, and a seat element and a backrest element, which are each carried by the support unit.
  • the chair also comprises a backrest blocking device serving as a functional element, which has a blocking tongue that can be adjusted between a retracted pivoting position in which a backrest element can be pivoted relative to a support unit and an exposed blocking position in which pivoting of the backrest element relative to the support unit is blocked.
  • the blocking tongue is pretensioned in the blocking position by means of a blocking device clamping means, a third Bowden cable being provided which engages the blocking tongue in order to move the blocking tongue from its blocking position to its pivoting position when the third Bowden cable is actuated.
  • the backrest blocking device can be provided as an alternative or in addition to the roller element and / or the locking foot.
  • the backrest blocking device is used in particular to release and block the pivoting movement of the backrest element.
  • the chair comprises a release element
  • the backrest element can only be pivoted if, for example, a user sits down on the seat element or places an object with a corresponding weight on it. This activates at least the first release element which, via the third Bowden cable, releases the blocking tongue from its Adjusted blocking position in their pivot position.
  • the adjustment can also take place, for example, by means of the second or third release element.
  • Such an embodiment is particularly advantageous when a combined sitting and standing chair is to be formed in which a backrest is to be adjustable when used as a seat chair and is to be locked when used as a standing chair. If such a backrest blocking device were not arranged on a chair with a pivotable backrest element, the backrest could not serve as a seat section for the buttocks of a user. This is because a user can advantageously support himself or herself on a seat section of the backrest element or lean against it without the backrest element being adjusted as a result.
  • the advantage of the third Bowden cable is that the adjustment of the backrest blocking device can be triggered at a location on the chair that is far away from the backrest blocking device, which can lead to easy operation of the chair.
  • the blocking tongue rests in the blocking position on a contact surface of a backrest arm.
  • the securing of the blocking position can be improved in that the contact area between the blocking tongue and the backrest arm is enlarged.
  • the blocking tongue thus blocks the pivoting movement of the backrest element in that it engages in the corresponding pivoting area.
  • a chair comprising a support frame, a support unit which is arranged on the support frame, and a seat element and a backrest element, which are each carried by the support unit.
  • the chair also includes a rotation lock arrangement serving as a functional element, which is adjustable between a blocking position in which a rotation of the chair and / or the support unit of the chair is blocked about a vertical chair axis, and a rotational position in which a rotation of the chair and / or the support unit of the chair is released around the vertical chair axis.
  • the rotation lock arrangement comprises an adjusting means which is used to adjust the rotation lock arrangement, a rotation lock means which is moved by the adjustment means between a rest position in which it puts the rotation lock arrangement in its blocking position, and a Activation position is displaceable, in which it puts the rotation lock arrangement in its rotational position.
  • the rotation lock arrangement comprises a fourth Bowden cable which engages the adjusting means in order to selectively adjust the rotation lock arrangement from its blocking position into its rotational position when the fourth Bowden cable is actuated.
  • a rotation of the chair itself and / or only the support frame which carries the seat element can be enabled or prevented. It is conceivable that a center pillar is non-rotatably connected to the rotation lock arrangement and / or that further functional elements are functionally connected to it.
  • the rotation lock arrangement can act on the chair in addition or as an alternative to the at least one roller element, the locking foot and / or the backrest blocking device.
  • the advantage of the fourth Bowden cable is that the adjustment of the rotation lock arrangement can be triggered at a location on the chair that is far away from the rotation lock arrangement, which can lead to easy operation of the chair.
  • the rotation lock arrangement is a blocking ring arrangement which is arranged below a seat element.
  • a blocking ring arrangement can be easily integrated into a chair leg construction and / or a central column construction without having to make significant changes to the dimensions of the chair.
  • a blocking ring arrangement can be made flat, which means that little installation space is taken up.
  • the adjusting means is a lifting ring which is mounted rotatably about the vertical chair axis between a rest position and an activation position.
  • the fourth Bowden cable can act on the lifting ring in a structurally favorable manner and, when actuated, set it in a rotational movement.
  • the lifting ring comprises at least one lifting ramp for adjusting the anti-rotation means.
  • the cam ring can thus be used in an advantageous manner as a means for transmitting its own rotational movement serve in an at least partial translational movement.

  • the blocking ring can be raised and lowered between its two positions.
  • the blocking ring comprises blocking teeth, into which at least one blocking element can engage when the blocking ring is in the rest position. This ensures that the rest position is permanently secured.
  • the rotation lock arrangement also comprises a coupling ring which is mounted displaceably along the vertical chair axis between a rest position and an activation position and is arranged between the adjustment means and the rotation lock means.
  • the coupling ring can, for example, carry the anti-rotation means and / or be connected to it in a rotationally fixed manner.
  • the coupling ring comprises at least one lifting tooth resting on the lifting ramp.

  • the rotation lock arrangement can thus be activated by means of a release element, which in turn serves as a further release element in order to activate the at least one roller element.
  • the first release element thus also acts indirectly on the at least one roller element.
  • the fifth Bowden cable runs between the rotation blocking means or blocking ring and the corresponding roller element.
  • the chair comprises five such roller elements and five fifth Bowden cables in order to ensure that the chair stands securely.
  • the adjusting means is pretensioned into its rest position by means of at least one clamping means.
  • Any resilient element which biases the adjusting means into its rest position can serve as a tensioning device.
  • the tensioning means can therefore be designed, for example, as a helical spring or a leaf spring.
  • the anti-rotation device is biased into its rest position by means of at least one tensioning device.
  • Any resilient element which biases the adjusting means into its rest position can also serve as a tensioning device.
  • the clamping means can therefore be designed, for example, as a helical spring or a leaf spring.
  • the rotation lock arrangement further comprises a bearing ring, which is preferably arranged between the rotation lock means and the central element.
  • a ring of this type reduces the friction of elements resting on it and, due to its ease of adjustment, leads to a high-quality overall impression of the chair.
  • the rotation lock arrangement is designed in such a way that its overall height is the same in the blocking position and in the rotation position. In other words, when the rotation lock arrangement is adjusted between the blocking position and the rotation position, its overall height does not change. Description

The invention relates to a chair with a release element.

A chair is known from practice which comprises a support frame, a support unit which is arranged on the support frame and a seat element and a backrest element, which are each carried by the support unit.

This known chair can either be designed as a seated chair on which a user can sit down or be designed as a standing chair that supports a user when standing and can serve as a standing aid. However, previously known chairs cannot be designed as combined sitting and standing chairs, since they can slide or roll away when used as a standing chair when a user is standing on the sitting and standing chair or leans against it. In particular, no sitting and standing chair can be designed with castors, since it would roll away when used as a standing chair. However, roles are particularly advantageous when moving a chair designed as a seat chair quickly and easily. Such a roller for a piece of furniture and in particular for a chair comprises a roller body, which can be connected to the piece of furniture or the chair, and at least one roller which is rotatably mounted on the roller body via a roller axis.

WO 2007/110732 A2 describes a chair with a bracket and a spring mechanism supporting the bracket. The spring mechanism can be adjusted via a lever so that a restoring force of the spring mechanism can be adapted to the weight of a person. A mechanism for adjusting the height of the chair contains a compression spring and is coupled to a lever mechanism via a cable.

The invention is based on the object of creating a chair of the type mentioned in the introduction which avoids unintentional sliding or rolling.

According to the invention, this object is achieved by the chair having the features of claim 1.

According to the invention, a chair as defined in claim 1 is proposed, comprising a support frame, a support unit which is arranged on the support frame, and a seat element and a backrest element. The seat element and the backrest element are each carried by the support unit. The chair also comprises a first release element which is arranged between the support unit and the seat element. At least one Bowden cable engages at least one functional element on the release element. The release element can also be adjusted between a rest position, in which it does not act on the at least one Bowden cable, and an activation position, in which it acts on the at least one Bowden cable and thus activates the functional element. In addition, the release element is prestressed into its rest position by means of a release element clamping means. The release element is designed in such a way that the adjustment from its rest position to its activation position takes place by means of the weight of an object acting on the release element.

The chair according to the invention is thus designed in such a way that, for example, placing an object with a corresponding weight or placing a user on the seat element activate the functional element. The chair is thus moved from a passive position, in which its position cannot be changed or can only be changed with the use of a large amount of thrust, into an active position, in which its position can be changed in a simple manner, which can be done for example by moving or rolling the chair.

The object, the weight of which can act on the release element, can for example be a person, an animal or an object.

As long as there is no weight acting on the release element, the chair is in its passive position. For example, if a user sits down on the seat element, his weight activates the release element, which acts on the functional element by means of the at least one Bowden cable and activates it. The functional element can be any element of the chair that directly or indirectly prevents unintentional sliding or rolling.

The first release element is a flap element which can be pivoted about a flap element axis. Such an element can be reduced in a simple manner Form construction height. In addition, a lever can be created in this way which enables the folding element to be actuated even with a low weight force.

In a further preferred embodiment of the chair according to the invention, the support frame comprises a central column, the central column also being conceivable as a telescopic central column which has an anti-twist device and includes at least one outer sleeve and one inner sleeve. Such a center column is known, for example, from swivel chairs and, as a telescopic center column, allows the support unit to be adjusted in height relative to the support frame. The anti-twist device serves to prevent the two sleeves from twisting against each other. A central column is used for the stability of the chair, since it forms a central element on which the support unit can be arranged and on which chair legs can be arranged.

In a further preferred embodiment of the chair according to the invention, the Bowden cable has a loop section which is preferably arranged in the telescopic center column. In such an embodiment, the Bowden cable is at least so long that the chair can be adjusted in height without impairing the function of the release element or the Bowden cable. Because of the loop, the function of the Bowden cable is independent of the extension position of the telescopic center column or the height of the seat element.

In a further preferred embodiment of the chair according to the invention, it also comprises a second release element which is arranged below the seat element. At least one Bowden cable of at least one functional element engages the second release element. The second release element can be adjusted between a rest position, in which it does not act on the at least one Bowden cable, and an activation position, in which it acts on the at least one Bowden cable and thus activates the functional element. The second release element is also preloaded into its rest position by means of a release element clamping means, the second release element being designed such that the adjustment from its rest position to its activation position takes place by means of an adjustment force.

As a second release element, a release lever is conceivable, for example, which activates / can activate one or more functional elements, this being the the same / the same or different functional element (s) can act which can be activated by means of the first release element. The tensile force that a user can apply by hand or foot actuation can serve as the adjustment force.

In a further preferred embodiment of the chair according to the invention, it comprises a third release element which is arranged on the backrest element and on which at least one Bowden cable of at least one functional element engages. The third release element is adjustable between a rest position, in which it does not act on the at least one Bowden cable, and an activation position, in which it acts on the at least one Bowden cable and thus activates the functional element. The third release element is preloaded into its rest position by means of a release element clamping means, the third release element being designed such that the adjustment from its rest position into its activation position takes place by means of an adjustment force.

The third release element can, for example, be a release button, via which corresponding functional elements can be activated. This can be the same / the same or different functional element (s) which can be activated by means of the first release element and / or the second release element. For example, the pressure force that a user can apply by manual actuation can serve as the adjusting force.

In a further preferred embodiment of the chair, the chair can in particular comprise at least one roller element which serves as a functional element. Alternatively or additionally, the chair can in particular comprise a locking foot which serves as a functional element. Alternatively or in addition, the chair can in particular comprise a backrest blocking device which serves as a functional element. Alternatively or in addition, the chair can comprise a rotation lock arrangement which serves as a functional element.

In addition, a chair is proposed, comprising a support frame, a support unit which is arranged on the support frame, a seat element and a backrest element, which are each carried by the support unit, and a functional element serving role element. Each roller element comprises a roller body, which can be connected to the chair, and at least one roller which is rotatably mounted on the roller body via a roller axis. The roller element comprises a locking device which can be adjusted between a free-running position in which the at least one roller is free to run and a locking position in which the at least one roller is locked. The roller element also includes a first Bowden cable which engages the locking device in order to move it optionally from its locking position to its free-running position when the first Bowden cable is actuated.

The main advantage of the roller element is in particular that it can be adjusted between its free-wheeling position and its locking position by means of a Bowden cable. As a result, a chair can be provided with at least one such roller element. If necessary, the chair can thus be easily rolled or has sufficient stability, which reliably prevents the chair from slipping or rolling away unintentionally. The advantage of the first Bowden cable is that the adjustment of the roller element can be triggered at a location on the chair that is far away from the roller element, which can lead to easy operation of the chair.

The locking device can function in the manner of an electronic parking brake, which can only be adjusted between complete locking or blocking and complete freewheeling and thus has only two positions and no active position in between. In this case, the locking device is therefore not used to decelerate rollers in the sense of a deceleration brake.

If the chair has a release element or is designed as a chair according to one of Claims 1 to 10, the first Bowden cable can run between the release element and the locking device of the roller element.

In a preferred embodiment of the chair, the locking device further comprises a locking toothing, which is arranged on the roller, and a locking pawl, which is arranged on the roller body and is adjustable between the free-running position and the locking position. The at least one roller is locked in that at least one locking element of the locking pawl engages in the locking toothing. In addition, a pawl tensioning means is provided which biases the locking pawl into its locking position. The first Bowden cable engages the locking pawl in order to move the locking pawl optionally from its locking position into its free-running position when the first Bowden cable is actuated. A construction of this type serves to permanently secure a passive position of the chair, to a large extent through the interaction of the locking toothing and the at least one locking element.

In a preferred embodiment of the chair, the first Bowden cable is guided out of the chair into the roller body in such a way that it is penetrated by a roller body axis via which the roller body can be rotated relative to the chair. As a result, a roller element is formed that can be rotated up to a certain angle in relation to the chair. It is also conceivable that a rotatable bearing is arranged between the roller element and the chair, which prevents the Bowden cable from being wound up.

In a further preferred embodiment of the chair, the locking pawl is pivotably mounted on the roller body via a locking pawl axis. The pivoting or rotational movement of the locking pawl enables easy adjustment between its free-running position and its locked position. In particular in comparison with a translational movement, a rotary movement requires considerably less guidance of the locking pawl, which avoids tilting.

In a further preferred embodiment of the chair, the locking pawl has an arcuate outer surface, the geometric center of which lies on the roller axis. As a result, a locking pawl is created which corresponds at least in sections to a radius of the roller. As a result, a large contact area can also be formed between the locking pawl and the locking toothing. A large number of locking elements can, for example, be formed on the enlarged surface, as a result of which multiple and very secure engagement of the locking elements in the locking toothing is possible. Due to a large number of locking elements engaging the locking toothing, the thrust force acting on the chair for rotating the roller is evenly distributed over the locking elements, whereby only a small force acts on each individual locking element. Thus, the locking device can be designed to be gentle on the material.

In a further preferred embodiment of the chair, the locking element is formed in the locking pawl. It is conceivable here that the at least one locking element is designed as a recess within the locking pawl body and the locking pawl lies over the locking toothing to produce the locking position. In other words, the locking toothing engages in the locking pawl. In this way, a small and space-saving locking pawl can be formed.

In a further preferred embodiment of the chair, the latch tensioning means acts in the radial direction with respect to the roller axis. As a result, the pawl tensioning means can be supported in the central section of the roller body, which leads to an advantageous distribution of forces acting within the roller body.

In a further preferred embodiment of the chair, the pawl tensioning means is arranged between the roller axis and the locking pawl. Such an arrangement allows a compact roller element to be formed, since the pawl tensioning means can be supported on the roller body which is immovable with respect to the at least one roller.

In a further preferred embodiment of the chair, the latch tensioning means is a compression spring. A compression spring is to be understood as any resilient element which the Locking pawl biased into its locking position. The compression spring can therefore be designed, for example, as a helical spring or a leaf spring.

In a further preferred embodiment of the chair, the locking toothing has locking recesses that are open in the direction of the roller axis. The locking elements engage in the locking recesses. The shape of the locking recesses advantageously corresponds to the shape of the locking elements. The locking recesses can be arranged at regular intervals with respect to the roller axis and thereby form the locking teeth so that the fastest possible engagement can take place in every position of the locking recesses relative to the at least one locking element.

A chair is also proposed, comprising a support frame, a support unit which is arranged on the support frame, and a seat element and a backrest element, which are each carried by the support unit. The chair comprises a locking foot serving as a functional element, comprising a locking body, which can be connected to the chair and is height-adjustable between a raised release position and a lowered locking position. In addition, the locking body is preloaded into its locking position by means of a foot tensioning device. The locking foot comprises a second Bowden cable which engages the locking foot in order to move the locking body optionally from its locking position into its release position when the second Bowden cable is actuated.

The height of the locking foot is thus adjusted in its lowered locking position to brake the chair or to fix a position of the chair. The locking foot can act additionally or as an alternative to the at least one roller element on the chair. The advantage of the second Bowden cable is that the adjustment of the locking foot can be triggered at a location on the chair that is far away from the locking foot, which can lead to easy operation of the chair.

In a preferred embodiment of the chair, the locking foot has a guide slot in which a guide pin firmly connected to the chair engages. This ensures that the locking foot functions reliably and that it functions correctly.

In a further preferred embodiment of the chair, the locking body can be rotated about a vertical locking foot axis between its release position and its locking position. Such a rotational movement avoids tilting or jamming of the locking body and a long-lasting locking foot is formed.

In a further preferred embodiment of the chair, the locking foot has, at least in sections, a locking covering on its bottom surface. Such a locking lining essentially serves to create a high frictional force between the chair and the floor under the chair. The greater the frictional force when moving the chair in its passive position or when the locking foot is in the lowered locking position, the more difficult it is to move the chair.

A chair is also proposed, comprising a support frame, a support unit which is arranged on the support frame, and a seat element and a backrest element, which are each carried by the support unit. The chair also comprises a backrest blocking device serving as a functional element, which has a blocking tongue that can be adjusted between a retracted pivoting position in which a backrest element can be pivoted relative to a support unit and an exposed blocking position in which pivoting of the backrest element relative to the support unit is blocked. The blocking tongue is pretensioned in the blocking position by means of a blocking device clamping means, a third Bowden cable being provided which engages the blocking tongue in order to move the blocking tongue from its blocking position to its pivoting position when the third Bowden cable is actuated.

In such a chair, the backrest blocking device can be provided as an alternative or in addition to the roller element and / or the locking foot. The backrest blocking device is used in particular to release and block the pivoting movement of the backrest element. If the chair comprises a release element, the backrest element can only be pivoted if, for example, a user sits down on the seat element or places an object with a corresponding weight on it. This activates at least the first release element which, via the third Bowden cable, releases the blocking tongue from its Adjusted blocking position in their pivot position. The adjustment can also take place, for example, by means of the second or third release element. Such an embodiment is particularly advantageous when a combined sitting and standing chair is to be formed in which a backrest is to be adjustable when used as a seat chair and is to be locked when used as a standing chair.

The advantage of the third Bowden cable is that the adjustment of the backrest blocking device can be triggered at a location on the chair that is far away from the backrest blocking device, which can lead to easy operation of the chair.

In a preferred embodiment of the chair, the blocking tongue rests in the blocking position on a contact surface of a backrest arm. The securing of the blocking position can be improved in that the contact area between the blocking tongue and the backrest arm is enlarged. The blocking tongue thus blocks the pivoting movement of the backrest element in that it engages in the corresponding pivoting area.

Furthermore, a chair is proposed, comprising a support frame, a support unit which is arranged on the support frame, and a seat element and a backrest element, which are each carried by the support unit. The chair also includes a rotation lock arrangement serving as a functional element, which is adjustable between a blocking position in which a rotation of the chair and / or the support unit of the chair is blocked about a vertical chair axis, and a rotational position in which a rotation of the chair and / or the support unit of the chair is released around the vertical chair axis. The rotation lock arrangement comprises an adjusting means which is used to adjust the rotation lock arrangement, a rotation lock means which is moved by the adjustment means between a rest position in which it puts the rotation lock arrangement in its blocking position, and a Activation position is displaceable, in which it puts the rotation lock arrangement in its rotational position. The rotation lock arrangement comprises a fourth Bowden cable which engages the adjusting means in order to selectively adjust the rotation lock arrangement from its blocking position into its rotational position when the fourth Bowden cable is actuated.

By means of such a chair, a rotation of the chair itself and / or only the support frame which carries the seat element can be enabled or prevented. It is conceivable that a center pillar is non-rotatably connected to the rotation lock arrangement and / or that further functional elements are functionally connected to it.

The rotation lock arrangement can act on the chair in addition or as an alternative to the at least one roller element, the locking foot and / or the backrest blocking device. The advantage of the fourth Bowden cable is that the adjustment of the rotation lock arrangement can be triggered at a location on the chair that is far away from the rotation lock arrangement, which can lead to easy operation of the chair.

In a preferred embodiment of the chair, the rotation lock arrangement is a blocking ring arrangement which is arranged below a seat element. Such a blocking ring arrangement can be easily integrated into a chair leg construction and / or a central column construction without having to make significant changes to the dimensions of the chair. In addition, such a blocking ring arrangement can be made flat, which means that little installation space is taken up.

In a further preferred embodiment of the chair, the adjusting means is a lifting ring which is mounted rotatably about the vertical chair axis between a rest position and an activation position. In such an embodiment, the fourth Bowden cable can act on the lifting ring in a structurally favorable manner and, when actuated, set it in a rotational movement.

In a further preferred embodiment of the chair, the lifting ring comprises at least one lifting ramp for adjusting the anti-rotation means. The cam ring can thus be used in an advantageous manner as a means for transmitting its own rotational movement serve in an at least partial translational movement.

In a further preferred embodiment of the chair, the anti-rotation means is a locking ring which is mounted displaceably along the vertical chair axis between a rest position and an activation position. In other words, the blocking ring can be raised and lowered between its two positions. Such a construction can be implemented in a simple manner and therefore leads to a long service life and high functional reliability.

In a further preferred embodiment of the chair, the blocking ring comprises blocking teeth, into which at least one blocking element can engage when the blocking ring is in the rest position. This ensures that the rest position is permanently secured.

In a further preferred embodiment of the chair, the rotation lock arrangement also comprises a coupling ring which is mounted displaceably along the vertical chair axis between a rest position and an activation position and is arranged between the adjustment means and the rotation lock means. The coupling ring can, for example, carry the anti-rotation means and / or be connected to it in a rotationally fixed manner. With such a two-part design of a coupling ring and a rotation locking means, manufacturing costs can be reduced, since not a single element with complex geometry has to be created.

In a further preferred embodiment of the chair, the coupling ring comprises at least one lifting tooth resting on the lifting ramp. Such a tooth is used to transfer the rotational movement of the adjusting means or cam ring into a translational movement of the coupling ring and thus possibly also of the rotation locking means or the blocking ring. The lifting tooth can, for example, rest against the lower end of the lifting ramp when the rotation blocking means or the blocking ring is in the rest position, and it can rest against the upper end of the lifting ramp when the rotation blocking means or the blocking ring is activated.

In a further preferred embodiment of the chair, the rotation lock arrangement also comprises a central element which is mounted rotatably about the vertical chair axis between a rest position and an activation position and comprises at least one blocking tooth which optionally engages in the blocking toothing. Such a central element can be used to transmit a blocking effect and a release effect to other elements of the chair.

In a further preferred embodiment of the chair
a center column of the chair is non-rotatably mounted on the central element. With such a central element, the rotation of the chair center column and thus the support unit and the seat element and the backrest element can optionally be blocked or released.

In a further preferred embodiment of the chair, the rotation lock arrangement also comprises a fifth Bowden cable, which runs between the rotation lock means and a roller element in order to adjust the roller element between a free-running position, in which at least one roller of the roller element is free-running, and a locking position which the at least one roller is locked. The rotation lock arrangement can thus be activated by means of a release element, which in turn serves as a further release element in order to activate the at least one roller element. The first release element thus also acts indirectly on the at least one roller element.

It is conceivable that the fifth Bowden cable runs between the rotation blocking means or blocking ring and the corresponding roller element. In addition, it is conceivable that the chair comprises five such roller elements and five fifth Bowden cables in order to ensure that the chair stands securely.

In a further preferred embodiment of the chair, the adjusting means is pretensioned into its rest position by means of at least one clamping means. Any resilient element which biases the adjusting means into its rest position can serve as a tensioning device. The tensioning means can therefore be designed, for example, as a helical spring or a leaf spring.

In a further preferred embodiment of the chair, the anti-rotation device is biased into its rest position by means of at least one tensioning device. Any resilient element which biases the adjusting means into its rest position can also serve as a tensioning device. The clamping means can therefore be designed, for example, as a helical spring or a leaf spring.

In a further preferred embodiment of the chair, the rotation lock arrangement further comprises a bearing ring, which is preferably arranged between the rotation lock means and the central element. A ring of this type reduces the friction of elements resting on it and, due to its ease of adjustment, leads to a high-quality overall impression of the chair.

In a further preferred embodiment of the chair, the rotation lock arrangement is designed in such a way that its overall height is the same in the blocking position and in the rotation position. In other words, when the rotation lock arrangement is adjusted between the blocking position and the rotation position, its overall height does not change. Thus, the external dimensions of the rotation lock arrangement remain unchanged regardless of the respective position.

In the Figures 1 to 3 a chair 1 is shown in full in a side view. The chair 1 comprises a support frame 2 and a support unit 4 arranged on the support frame 2. The chair 1 also comprises a seat element 6 and a backrest element 8, which are each carried by the support unit 4. A first release element designed as a flap element 10 is arranged between the support unit 4 and the seat element 6. The folding element 10 comprises an upper part 11 on which the seat element 6 is arranged and a lower part 12 which is supported on the support unit 4. The upper part 11 can be pivoted with respect to the lower part 12 via a folding element axis 13.

The support frame 2 comprises a centrally arranged central column which is designed as a telescopic central column 14. The support unit 4 is supported on the telescopic center column 14 and can be rotated relative to this about a vertical chair axis 3. As Figure 3 shows, the telescopic center column 14 comprises an inner sleeve 15 and an outer sleeve 16. As Figure 3 further shows, the inner sleeve 15 comprises securing links 17, two of which are shown. A locking pin (not shown) which is arranged on the outer sleeve 16 engages in each locking link 17, as a result of which a rotation lock 18 is formed. In other words, the two sleeves 15, 16 cannot be rotated relative to one another about the vertical chair axis 3.

Die Stuhlbeine 20 tragen zudem eine ringförmige Fußraste 22.The support frame 2 also comprises several chair legs 20, only two of which are shown. Preferably five chair legs 20 can be provided. The chair legs 20 are each fastened to the center column 14 with their upper end. At At its bottom end, a chair leg 20 has a roller element 30 and a chair leg 20 has a roller element 31. The roller elements 30, 31 differ in that the roller element 30 is a lockable roller element and the roller element 31 is a non-lockable roller element known from practice. The chair legs 20 also carry an annular footrest 22.

A backrest arm 24 is articulated on the support unit 4 so as to be pivotable about a backrest axis 26. The backrest arm 24 carries the backrest element 8. The backrest element 8 has a backrest section 8a which is oriented towards the front of the chair. In addition, the backrest element has a seat section 8b which is oriented in the upright direction of the chair. The backrest section 8a is used to rest a user's back if the latter is sitting on the seat element 6 and rests his back against the backrest section 8a. When sitting on the chair 1 in this way, it is used as a seat chair. The seat section 8b is designed such that a user can stand on it. When the chair 1 is used in this way, it is used as a standing chair. The weight G acting on the seat section 8b is advantageously conducted into the support unit 4 via the backrest arm 24 arranged directly below it. This creates a stable sitting and standing chair.

The folding element 10 is from the in Figure 1 in the rest position shown in Figure 2 Activation position shown adjustable. For this purpose, a weight G on the seat element 6 directed towards the bottom is sufficient, so that the upper part 11 moves about the folding element axis 13 towards the lower part 12, as in FIG Figure 2 shown. A force G directed towards the ground can be entered into the chair 1, for example, by the weight of a user sitting on the seat element 6 or by a corresponding object 28 with a sufficient weight.

The Figures 4 and 5 show the support unit 4 and the folding element 10 in its rest position and in its activation position, the Figures 4 and 5 are shown in a wireframe view. In this wireframe view, only the circumferential lines of the individual elements are shown and the area is not visualized. A compression spring 32 serving as a release element clamping means is arranged between the upper part 11 and the lower part 12. The compression spring 32 biases the flap element 10 into its rest position.

An upper end of a first Bowden cable 34 is attached to the upper part 11. The first Bowden cable 34 is part of the roller element 30 serving as a functional element, such as the Figures 6 to 9 demonstrate. A third Bowden cable 36, which is part of a backrest blocking device 50 serving as a functional element, is arranged on the lower part 12. An arm 44 of the upper part 11 engages the third Bowden cable 36. The arm 44 moves an outer sleeve of the third Bowden cable 36 when the folding element 10 is adjusted into its activation position.

A second Bowden cable 35, which can be arranged like the first Bowden cable 34 or the third Bowden cable 36, is in the Figures 10 and 11 and forms part of a locking foot 70 serving as a functional element.

In der in Figur 4 gezeigten Blockierstellung liegt die Blockierzunge 52 an einer Anlagefläche 42 des Rückenlehnenarms 24 an.The backrest blocking device 50 comprises a blocking tongue 52 and the third Bowden cable 36. The third Bowden cable 36 runs between the folding element 10 and the blocking tongue 52. By means of the third Bowden cable 36, the blocking tongue 52 is between a in Figure 5 retracted pivot position shown and one in Figure 4 shown exhibited blocking position adjustable. In the pivoted position, the backrest element 8 or the backrest arm 24 can be pivoted relative to the support unit 4 about the backrest axis 26. Such pivoting is blocked in the blocking position. A compression spring 40 biases the Bowden cable 36 or the blocking tongue 52 in the blocking position. In the in Figure 4 The blocking position shown, the blocking tongue 52 rests on a contact surface 42 of the backrest arm 24.

If a force G directed towards the bottom now acts on the seat element 6, the upper part 11 is pivoted about the folding element axis 13 counter to the spring force of the compression spring 32 in the direction of the lower part 12.

The folding element 10 is thus between a rest position in which it does not act on the at least one Bowden cable 34, 35, 36, 37 and an activation position adjustable, in which it acts on the at least one Bowden cable 34, 35, 36, 37 and thus activates the corresponding functional elements.

The operation of the backrest blocking device 50 will be described below. If a force G directed towards the bottom is applied to the seat element 6, the upper part 11 is pivoted about the folding element axis 13 in the direction of the lower part 12. As a result, the arm 44 displaces the outer sleeve of the third Bowden cable 36 against the biasing force of the compression spring 40. Such a movement moves the blocking tongue 52 from its blocking position into its pivoting position. In other words, in its release position, the blocking tongue 52 is not located in a pivoting range of the backrest arm 24. The backrest arm 24 can consequently pivot freely about the backrest axis 26.

The Figures 6 and 7th show a grid model view of the support frame 2 and the support unit 4. From these two views it is clear that the first Bowden cable 34 has a loop section 46 which is arranged in the telescopic center pillar 14. The first Bowden cable 34 runs namely from the upper part 11 through the support unit 4 into the telescopic center column 14 of the support frame 2 into a chair leg 20 and finally into the roller element 30.

The Figures 8 and 9 show the roller element 30, which serves as a functional element, is arranged on the bottom end of at least one chair leg 20 and can be activated by means of the first Bowden cable 34. The chair 1 can only have a single roller element 30 according to FIGS Figures 8 and 9 or have several roller elements 30. Each roller element 30 has a roller body 80 and at least one roller 82. It is conceivable that the roller element 30 has two rollers 82 and is thus designed as a double roller. The roller body 80 is connected to the chair leg 20 via a corresponding bearing. It is conceivable that the roller element 30 can be rotated relative to the chair leg 20 about a roller body axis 84. The first Bowden cable 36 can be guided out of the chair leg 20 into the roller body 80 in such a way that the roller body axis 84 extends through it. The at least one roller 82 is rotatably mounted on the roller body 80 via a roller axle 86.

The roller element 30 has a locking device which has a locking toothing 88 which is arranged on the roller 82 and a locking pawl 90 which is arranged on the roller body 80. The locking device also comprises a compression spring 92 which serves as a pawl tensioning means and which biases the locking pawl 90 into its locking position. In addition, the locking device comprises the first Bowden cable 34, which engages the locking pawl 90 in order to selectively actuate the locking pawl 90.

The locking pawl 90 is pivotably articulated on the roller body 80 via a locking pawl axis 94. In addition, the locking pawl 90 can be adjusted between a free-running position, in which the at least one roller 82 can run freely, and a locking position, in which the at least one roller 82 is locked in that at least one locking element 96 of the locking pawl 90 engages the locking toothing 88 .

The locking pawl 90 has an arcuate outer surface 96, the geometric center of which lies on the roller axis 86. On the circular arc-like outer surface 96 of the locking pawl 90, three locking elements are formed, which are designed as locking lugs 98. The three locking lugs 98 engage in open locking recesses 100 of the locking toothing 88. The locking recesses 100 are arranged at regular intervals around the roller axis 86. The shape of the locking lugs 98 corresponds to the shape of the locking recesses 100, so that a positive connection between the two is ensured.

The compression spring 92 is arranged between the roller axis 86 and the locking pawl 90 and thus acts in the radial direction with respect to the roller axis 86.

The functioning of the roller element 30 is explained below. If a force directed towards the bottom is exerted on the seat element 6 and the folding element 10 is thereby moved from its rest position to its activation position, the first Bowden cable 34 is also actuated, which moves the locking pawl 90 against the biasing force of the compression spring 92 from the locking position to the free-running position. In the Figures 7 and 9 The freewheeling position shown can roll the roller 82 unbraked by the locking pawl 90.

The locking toothing 88 is connected to the roller 82 in a rotationally fixed manner. As soon as there is no longer any weight acting on the seat element 6, the flap element 10 is pivoted into its rest position by means of the compression spring 32 and the latching pawl 90 is pivoted into its locking position by means of the compression spring 92. If at this point in time the locking lugs 98 are not aligned with the locking recesses 100 for a corresponding engagement, at least one locking lug 98 runs against an end face 102 of the locking toothing 88 while the roller 82 rotates until the locking lugs 98 are aligned with the locking recesses 100 and they snap into place.

The Figures 10 and 11 show a locking foot 70 arranged on the telescopic center column 14. The locking foot 70 can also serve as a functional element and comprises a locking body 71 which is connected to the chair 1 via the telescopic center column 14. In addition, the locking body 71 is between an in Figure 10 raised release position shown and one in Figure 11 shown lowered locking position adjustable in height. The locking foot 70 can be pre-tensioned into its locking position by means of a foot tensioning means (not shown). In addition, the locking foot 70 comprises the second Bowden cable 35, which runs between the locking body 71 and the folding element 10. By means of the second Bowden cable 35, the locking body 71 can optionally be adjusted from its locking position into its release position. The locking foot 70 has a guide slot 72 which is arranged on the locking body 71 and in which a guide pin 73 which is firmly connected to the telescopic center column 14 engages. The locking body 71 can be rotated between its release position and its locking position about a vertical locking foot axis 74 which is aligned with the vertical chair axis 3. The locking body 71 has, at least in sections, a locking lining 75 on its bottom surface.

The mode of operation of the locking foot 70 is explained below. If a force directed towards the bottom is exerted on the seat element 6, the folding element 10 moves from its rest position into its activation position. As a result, the second Bowden cable 35 is actuated in such a way that the locking body 71 is adjusted in height about the locking foot axis 74 from its raised release position into its lowered locking position. In the locked position, the locking lining 75 rests on a floor 48.

The Figures 12 to 24 show a rotation locking arrangement designed as a blocking ring arrangement 60. The locking ring assembly 60 is between an in Figure 23 shown blocking position in which a rotation of the chair 1 and / or a support unit 4 of the chair 1 is blocked about the vertical chair axis 3, and one in Figure 24 Rotation position shown adjustable, in which a rotation of the chair 1 and / or the support unit 4 of the chair 1 about the vertical chair axis 3 is enabled. In this context, the support frame 2 is defined as a fixed reference point.

As Figure 12 shows, the blocking ring arrangement 60 is arranged in the floor area of the chair 1 and integrated into the support frame 2. The support frame 2 has five chair legs 20 which are arranged uniformly around the vertical chair axis 3 and a roller element 30 is arranged at each of the bottom ends. The blocking ring arrangement 60 is penetrated centrally by the telescopic center column 14. From that in the Figures 12 to 24 Folding element 10, not shown, leads a fourth Bowden cable 37 to the blocking ring arrangement 60.

Figure 13 Figure 12 shows an exploded view of the elements of the lock rim assembly 60 according to the present embodiment.

The locking ring arrangement 60 is closed on the bottom by a bottom ring 53 and a seal 54. The bottom ring 53 clamps the seal 54 between itself and the support frame 2. The support frame 2 itself forms a receiving space 55 in which the blocking ring arrangement 60 is arranged. A cam ring 61, which serves as an adjusting means, a coupling ring 63, a blocking ring 62 which serves as a rotation locking means, a bearing ring 69 and a central element 64, which rests slidingly on the bearing ring 69 and as an upper closing element, are stacked in the receiving space 55 and cover is used. Regardless of the position of the blocking ring arrangement 60, the support frame 2, the coupling ring 63 and the blocking ring 62 are connected to one another in a rotationally fixed manner. Regardless of the position of the blocking ring arrangement 60, the cam ring 61 and the central element 64 are connected to one another in a translation-proof manner. The distance between the bottom ring 53 and the central element 64 defines the overall height of the blocking ring arrangement 60, which remains the same regardless of the position of the blocking ring arrangement 60.

Figure 14 shows a detailed view of the blocking ring arrangement 60 in the assembled state. In this view it becomes clear how the individual elements of the blocking ring arrangement 60 interlock within the receiving space 55. For a better understanding of the individual elements and functional units of the blocking ring arrangement 60, these are explained with reference to FIGS Figures 15 to 24 described.

The Figures 15 and 16 essentially show the cam ring 61 and the central element 64 in the blocking position and in the rotational position.

Out Figure 15 it becomes clear that the fourth Bowden cable 37 is guided through the telescopic center column 14 into the receiving space 55. With its end opposite the folding element 10, the fourth Bowden cable 37 engages the lifting ring 61. The cam ring 61 is pretensioned into the blocking position by means of a plurality of cam ring springs 56, preferably by means of five cam ring springs 56, which are supported on the central element 64. The cam ring 61 has an internal bulge 57 for each cam spring 56. The bulges 57 are arranged at regular intervals around the vertical chair axis 3. The lifting ring 61 also has indentations 58 on the outside, which are also arranged at regular intervals around the vertical chair axis 3 and are arranged alternately with respect to the indentations 57 on the inside. To guide the cam ring 61 in the receiving space 55, the central element 64 has guide members 59a, 59b. Each guide member 59a engages in a corresponding indentation 57 and each guide member 59b engages in a corresponding indentation 58. Each guide member 59a, 59b is displaceable within the corresponding indentation or bulge 57, 58 between a left and a right stop.

When the fourth Bowden cable 37 is actuated, the lifting ring 61 is rotated clockwise with respect to the central element 64 about the vertical chair axis 3.

Figure 16 now shows the cam ring 61 adjusted from the blocking position into the rotational position. Such an adjustment takes place against the pretensioning force of the cam ring springs 56.

In the in Figure 16 In the rotation position shown, the cam ring 61 is rotated with respect to the central element 64 by a defined angular range about the chair axis 3. This angular range is largely determined by the length of the bulge 57 and indentation 58 in the circular arc direction and the guide members 59a, 59b engaging therein or by the corresponding stop of the respective guide member 59a, 59b in the corresponding bulge or indentation. In the in Figure 16 The rotation position shown, the counter-rotating cam ring 61 and the central element 64 are freely rotatable about the vertical chair axis 3. For example, a chair center column can be connected to the central element 64, so that in the rotational position a rotation of the support unit 4 and the seat element 6 as well as the back element 8 about the vertical chair axis 3 is possible.

The Figures 17 and 18th show a detailed view of the cam ring 61 and the coupling ring 63 in FIG Figure 17 blocking position shown and one in Figure 18 shown rotation position.

On its inside, the coupling ring 63 has lifting teeth 67 and guide teeth 76 which are arranged at regular intervals around the chair axis 3 and which alternate. In the Figure 17 The guide teeth 76 shown engage in corresponding guide recesses 77 of the central element 64, which in FIG Figure 16 are shown. Each lifting tooth 67 rests on a lifting ramp 65 of the lifting ring 61. By means of the lifting ramps 65 and lifting teeth 67, a rotational movement of the lifting ring 61 about the vertical chair axis 3 can be diverted into a translational movement of the coupling ring 63. In the in Figure 17 In the blocking position shown, the lifting teeth 67 rest against the respective lower ends of the lifting ramps 65. After rotating the cam ring 61 into the in Figure 18 In the rotational position shown, the lifting teeth 67 rest on the respective upper ends of the lifting ramps 65. While the lifting ring 61 can only be rotated in a rotational manner about the vertical chair axis 3, the coupling ring 63 can only be displaced in a translatory manner along the chair axis 3. The translational adjustment height and form of movement of the coupling ring 63 are significantly influenced by the lifting ramps 65, the lifting ramps 65 in the present example each having a defined, constant and linear gradient. However, the lifting ramps 65 can also for example each have an at least partially parabolic sliding surface on which a lifting tooth 67 rests.

As the Figures 19 and 20th show, the coupling ring 63 serves as a link between the cam ring 61 and the blocking ring 62. Figure 19 shows the alignment of these three elements to one another in the blocking position of the blocking rim assembly 60, while Figure 20 shows the arrangement of the three elements to one another in the rotational position.

The blocking ring 62 is non-rotatably connected to the coupling ring 63 and is therefore translationally adjustable only along the vertical longitudinal axis 3 of the chair. The blocking ring 62 has blocking teeth 66 on its inside facing the chair axis 3. The blocking ring 62 has guide recesses 78 at regular intervals on its outside. In the guide recesses 78 guide springs 79 of the support frame 2 engage, which in Figure 13 are shown. In other words, the blocking ring 62 and thus also the coupling ring 63 are rotationally fixed with respect to the support frame 2. The blocking ring 62 is pretensioned into its rest position by means of blocking ring springs 81. Thus, the blocking ring 62 and the coupling ring 63 are raised via the ramps 65 and lifting teeth 67 only against the pretensioning force of the lifting ring springs 56 and against the pretensioning force of the blocking ring springs 81, such as Figure 20 shows.

The Figures 21 and 22nd now illustrate how the blocking ring 62 and the central element 64 are aligned with one another in the blocking position and in the rotational position.

In the in Figure 21 In the blocking position shown, the central element 64 is locked to the blocking ring 62 in that at least one blocking tooth 68 of the central element 64 engages in the blocking toothing 66 of the blocking ring 62. A previously referring to the Figures 19 and 20th The described height adjustment of the blocking ring 62 along the chair axis 3 now leads to the blocking teeth 68 disengaging from the blocking teeth 66. This is achieved in that the blocking ring 62 runs into a receiving groove 83 of the central element 64 or is lifted into it. By releasing the blocking teeth 68, a free rotation of the central element 64, the cam ring 61 and the elements non-rotatably connected therewith is made possible. The Figures 23 and 24 now show a further embodiment of the chair, with respect to the Figures 1 to 9 roller elements 30 described cooperate with the blocking ring arrangement 60, as described below. In order to avoid repetition, the following are provided with regard to the Figures 23 and 24 The roller elements 30 shown only show the differences from those in FIGS Figures 1 to 9 illustrated roller elements 30 described.

Each roller element 30 can be adjusted from its locking position into its free-running position by means of a fifth Bowden cable 38. The fifth Bowden cable 38 runs in contrast to that for example in FIG Figure 8 The first Bowden cable 34 shown is not between the folding element 10 and the roller element 30 but between the blocking ring 62 of the blocking ring arrangement 60 and the roller element 30. In this context, the blocking ring arrangement 60 thus serves as a release element for the roller elements 30. Another difference is that the locking pawl 90 instead of locking lugs 98 has locking recesses 99. In the locked position, the locking recess 99 overlaps the locking toothing 88. The shape of the locking lugs 98 corresponds to the shape of the locking recesses 100, so that a positive connection between the two is ensured. The outer surface of the locking pawl 90 is also not formed in the shape of an arc, but can be divided into three largely straight sections. A first section is penetrated by the locking pawl axis 94, a second or middle section has the locking recesses 99 and the fifth Bowden cable 38 engages on a third section.

A synopsis of the Figures 23 and 24 shows that a height adjustment of the blocking ring 62 leads to the Bowden cables 38 being actuated and thus the locking pawls 90 being moved from their locking position into their free-running position.

As an alternative or in addition to the adjustment of the roller elements 30 by the rotation lock arrangement or the blocking rim arrangement 60, provision can be made to adjust the height of the arresting foot 70 by means of the rotation blocking arrangement or the blocking rim arrangement 60 in the manner described above between its raised release position and its lowered locking position . In this case, the rotation blocking arrangement or the blocking rim arrangement 60 can be activated by means of a release element or can be activated by means of the folding element 10 and / or by means of a release lever and / or by means of a release button, which rotation lock arrangement itself serves as a further release element.
