Definitions

  • the present invention relates to an upholstery arrangement for seating furniture, in particular for an office or conference chair, a method for producing such an upholstery arrangement for seating furniture and an office or conference chair.
  • Seat cushions are sometimes attached to a seat structure, mostly using conventional attachment means such as screws or the like.
  • a seat cushion has an upholstered body and an upholstered panel.
  • the upholstered body is connected to the upholstered panel and/or a cover anchored to the upholstered panel.
  • the upholstery panel is then bolted to the seat structure.
  • WO 2005/124055 A2 describes an arrangement for fastening fabric relative to a frame.
  • a compressible band made of rubber, for example, is clamped together with the fabric in a groove of the frame.
  • the groove has an enlarged section.
  • U.S. 3,981,534 describes a frame attached to the side of a seat of a chair, on the underside of which hooks are formed, into which tabs of a metal seat pan, formed by local cutting and reshaping, engage.
  • U.S. 5,195,222 describes a fastening connection between an upholstery cover and a seat support.
  • the upholstery cover is attached to the seat support by snapping a hook profile strip sewn to the cover into projections on the support.
  • JP 3 595953 B2 and the JP 3 017105 B2 describe known seating cushion assemblies.
  • the present invention is based on the object of specifying a seat cushion arrangement that is easy to produce and flexibly configurable, and a corresponding office or conference chair.
  • this object is achieved by a seating furniture upholstery arrangement with the features of patent claim 1 and/or by a method for producing a seat cushion arrangement with the features of patent claim 7 and/or by an office or conference chair with the features of patent claim 9.
  • the knowledge/idea on which the present invention is based is a seating furniture upholstery in the manner of a to design a shell that can be attached to a seat or backrest structure in a form-fitting manner and that can be removed again. This is achieved by comprehensively reaching behind a seat or backrest structure with an undercut on the edge of the shell-like base body.
  • the upholstery on a seat or backrest is modular, reversible and can be assembled and replaced without the use of tools.
  • the base body of the seat cushion is flexibly deformed for this purpose, encompasses the seat or backrest structure and snaps in with its undercut behind the seat or backrest structure, in particular behind an edge of the seat or backrest structure.
  • an undercut is therefore to be understood as meaning a section on an edge of the shell-like structure of a base body that is suitable for reaching behind a seat or backrest structure and is in particular curved inwards.
