Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a circular comb for a combing machine and a combing head with such a circular comb.
  • Such circular combs are used for combing machines for combing out a submitted fiber mass (cotton, wool, etc.), whereby the submission of the fiber mass can take place in the form of wadding webs wound on sleeves or in the form of individual slivers.
  • the numbers of nips (nips/minute) have increased significantly in recent years, which also brings with it an increase in productivity.
  • the circular combs used for the combing machine in practice consist of a circular comb carrier, which is provided with a clamping hub with which it is non-rotatably attached to a driven circular comb shaft.
  • a clothing carrier is attached, which accommodates the combing clothing that combs out the end of the fiber mass (also called fiber tuft) presented by a nipper unit.
  • circular comb carriers are used, which are held directly on a driven circular comb shaft.
  • the EP 0 514 319 A1 discloses various designs of a circular comb with spacer elements.
  • a spacer element according to the disclosure of EP 0 514 319 A1 Wedges are used, the wedges are secured by a stop screw against falling out in the axial direction.
  • a disadvantage of the disclosed embodiment is that the positioning of the wedges by moving the wedges in the axial direction is complex and must therefore be carried out when the circular comb is in the removed state. When loosening the fastening of the circular comb segment, the previously set positioning of the wedges is lost, since the wedges can move freely in the axial direction on the roller body.
  • the disadvantage is that an adjustment of the distance between the lower nipper plate of the nipper and the enveloping circle of the combing assembly of the circular comb can only be changed step by step depending on the existing spacer elements.
  • the circular comb is for readjustment to expand the distance from the combing device in order to be able to exchange the spacer elements.
  • the object of the present invention is therefore to create a circular comb which enables continuous adjustment of the distance between the lower nipper plate of the nipper and the enveloping circle of the combing assembly of the circular comb, with the setting being able to be changed without removing the circular comb.
  • a circular comb for a combing machine having a comb clothing and a circular comb axis, with a clothing carrier and at least one circular comb carrier.
  • the clothing carrier is held on the circular comb carrier.
  • At least two adjusting devices are provided between the clothing carrier and the circular comb carrier in a respective end region of the clothing carrier for adjusting a distance between the clothing carrier and the circular comb carrier. Due to the connection of the lower nipper plate of the nipper with the circular comb shaft, the distance between the lower nipper plate of the nipper and the enveloping circle of the comb clothing also changes when the distance between the circular comb carrier and the clothing carrier is adjusted.
  • the clothing carrier has a clothing support surface on its side facing away from the circular comb shaft.
  • a combing set is attached to the set support surface with suitable means, for example with screws, by welding or gluing.
  • Comb sets consisting of individual wire strips applied to the clothing support surface or also comb sets consisting of prefabricated combing elements which are applied to the clothing support surface are used here.
  • the clothing support surface is arranged in the shape of a segment of a circle around the circular comb axis.
  • the circular comb carrier can be provided as a disk with a specific length, the length being seen in the direction of the circular comb axis.
  • the length of the circular comb carrier corresponds to only a fraction of the length of the circular comb, with several such short circular comb carriers being used to fasten the comb clothing.
  • the use of several circular comb carriers for a comb clothing has the disadvantage that an alignment of the circular comb carrier is complex in order to achieve a concentric arrangement of the comb clothing or the clothing carrier with respect to the circular comb shaft.
  • the length of the circular comb carrier therefore advantageously corresponds to a length of the circular comb. This has the additional advantage that the circular comb can be preassembled with the combing set before it is installed in a combing machine.
  • the clothing carrier viewed in the direction of the circular comb axis, is fastened in its respective end region to the circular comb carrier with at least two detachable connecting elements. Screws have proven their worth as connecting elements. Due to the high demands on the connection of the clothing carrier with the circular comb carrier due to the acceleration forces that occur, a screw connection of the clothing carrier with the circular comb carrier has proven itself after an adjustment.
  • the adjustment device can be used to easily adjust the distance between the lower gripper plate and the enveloping circle of the comb clothing located on the clothing carrier without the circular comb having to be removed from the combing head when the setting is changed.
  • a setting can thus also be checked directly in the installed state by measuring the distance between the lower gripper plate and the enveloping circle of the combing clothing located on the clothing carrier.
  • the circular comb can be turned into a measuring position in the installed state, in which the distance can be adjusted and measured. After making the adjustment, it is secured by simply tightening the connecting elements for attaching the clothing carrier to the circular comb carrier.
  • the adjustment device between the clothing carrier and the circular comb carrier comprises flat wedges arranged in an end region of the circular comb, which, starting from the respective end of the clothing carrier in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the circular comb shaft, have a constant cross-sectional reduction directed towards the clothing carrier or the circular comb carrier.
  • this cross-sectional reduction the distance between the clothing carrier and the circular comb changes when the flat wedges are shifted in the direction of the circular comb axis.
  • the constant narrowing of the cross section is provided by a bevel of a surface of the flat wedge facing the clothing carrier, the bevel having a wedge angle ⁇ of 6 angular degrees or less. Choosing a wedge angle of less than 6 degrees ensures self-locking of the flat wedge. The flat wedge remains in its position when the connecting elements of the clothing carrier are tightened with the circular comb carrier.
  • the respective connecting elements of the clothing carrier reach through an opening provided in the respective flat wedge with the circular comb carrier. This not only fixes the clothing carrier on the circular comb carrier, but at the same time the flat wedge is securely clamped between the clothing carrier on the circular comb carrier at the location of the narrowing of the cross section. Passing the connecting element through the opening in the flat wedge also prevents the flat wedge from slipping out to the side during an adjustment.
  • a contact surface of the flat wedges facing the circular comb carrier is molded onto a bearing surface provided on the circular comb carrier.
  • the clothing carrier has a mating surface with the same wedge angle ⁇ that corresponds to the bevel of the flat wedge.
  • the self-locking of the two inclined surfaces comes into its own when a flat contact is created between the clothing carrier and the flat wedge.
  • the respective flat wedge is provided with an adjusting screw which engages in a cavity in the clothing carrier, the adjusting screw being arranged with its axis parallel to the circular comb axis.
  • the adjusting device can be arranged between the clothing carrier and the circular comb carrier without the clothing carrier itself being significantly weakened.
  • This also has advantages in an aerodynamic behavior of the circular comb during its movement compared to an arrangement of the adjusting device outside of the clothing carrier.
  • the axially parallel arrangement of the adjusting screw makes it possible to adjust the flat wedges on the face side from outside the circular comb. It is not necessary to remove the circular comb or parts of it for an adjustment.
  • the adjusting screw is preferably held rotatably in its axial position in the clothing carrier and an internal thread is provided in the flat wedge, with the flat wedge being adjustable in its position relative to the clothing carrier in the direction of the circular comb axis by engaging the adjusting screw in the internal thread in the flat wedge by turning the adjusting screw. Since the adjusting screw does not change its axial position due to the axial fixation even when turning, the flat wedge is axially displaced via the thread of the adjusting screw which is in engagement with the internal thread of the flat wedge according to the pitch of the thread in relation to the circular comb axis. Neither the clothing carrier nor the circular comb carrier change their axial position, with the result that the displacement of the flat wedge causes the clothing carrier and the circular comb carrier to be radially driven apart or brought together.
  • a holding device for the adjusting screw is preferably provided for rotatable holding in the cavity of the clothing carrier. This enables the entire adjustment device to be arranged in the clothing carrier.
  • the holding device is particularly preferably a circlip.
  • a corresponding shaping of the cavity and the adjusting screw can also be provided in order to achieve axial retention of the adjusting screw.
  • the use of a circlip is an easy to assemble and inexpensive construction to keep the adjusting screw in its axial position.
  • the opening in the flat wedge is designed as a slot open to a side facing away from the end of the clothing carrier.
  • a flat wedge to be easily replaced without completely detaching the clothing carrier from the circular comb carrier.
  • the formation of the slot also prevents the flat wedge from slipping out laterally during an adjustment after the connection elements have been loosened.
  • the distance between the clothing carrier and the circular comb carrier is advantageously 0 mm to 1.5 mm. It has been shown that the distance can be adjusted in this area by using flat wedges and is also sufficient for the necessary adjustment of the distance between the lower nipper plate of the nipper and the enveloping circle of the combing clothing for the fiber material to be processed in a combing room.
  • the direction of rotation of the circular comb results in an entry side with which the combing clothing first meets the fiber tuft to be combed. Due to its rotation, the circular comb moves through the tuft until it leaves it again on the outlet side of the combing set.
  • the comb clothing is arranged with its enveloping circle concentrically to the circular comb shaft.
  • the distance between the clothing carrier and the circular comb carrier on an inlet side of the combing clothing is advantageously different from the distance between the clothing carrier and the circular comb carrier on an outlet side of the combing set differs by 0.1 mm to 1.5 mm. Due to the possibility of setting the distance differently on the inlet side and the outlet side, the combing processes can be optimally matched to the requirements of the fiber material to be combed.
  • the counterweight is held non-rotatably on the circular comb shaft with fastening elements, independently of the circular comb carrier. This makes it possible to replace the circular comb carrier without also having to remove the counterweight from the circular comb shaft. This is particularly advantageous when preassembled circular combs that are set to a specific combing process are used. In this case, once set, kits which include the round comb carrier, the clothing carrier, the adjustment devices and the combing clothing can be exchanged in a simple manner.
  • a combing head is also proposed with a circular comb and a counterweight or compensating element, the circular comb having a clothing carrier with a clothing support surface and at least one circular comb carrier and the circular comb carrier with the counterweight or compensating element being mutually arranged on a circular comb shaft and the clothing carrier being fastened to the circular comb carrier with connecting elements is, wherein the circular comb is formed according to the above description.
  • figure 1 shows a schematic side view of a combing head 1 of a combing machine according to the prior art.
  • combers z. B. eight such combing heads 1 arranged side by side.
  • the combing head 1 of which only some of the elements are shown, has a nipper unit which is mounted in the frame of the combing machine so that it can be swiveled back and forth about the nipper shaft 5 and the circular comb axis 6 via the swivel arms 3 and 4.
  • the tong shaft 5 is driven by a drive, not shown in detail, in order to give the tong unit a reciprocating movement.
  • the circular comb shaft 8 is arranged, on which a circular comb 7 is fixed in a rotationally fixed manner.
  • the circular comb shaft 8 with its circular comb axis 6 is also driven continuously or discontinuously in the direction of rotation 23 by a drive (not shown).
  • the circular comb 7 fastened below the gripper unit on the circular comb shaft 8 consists of two circular comb carriers 9 which are fixedly spaced apart from one another in the direction of the circular comb axis 6 and are fastened to the circular comb shaft 6, on the outer circumference of which a clothing carrier 10 on the one hand and a counterweight 11 on the other are fastened.
  • the counterweight 11 is attached by means of the screws 12, by means of which the counterweight 11 is attached to the circular comb carriers 9.
  • the clothing carrier 10 is also firmly connected to the circular comb carriers 9 via connecting elements 24 shown schematically.
  • a comb set 13 is attached above the clothing carrier 10, which, like the counterweight 11, extends over the entire length L (see figure 4 ) of the circular comb 7 extends.
  • the circumferential angle of the combing clothing 13 is about 90 degrees in known combing machines and is also referred to as the "combing angle".
  • the tong unit is formed from a tong frame 14 to which a lower tong plate 15 and an upper tong plate 16 is attached. In the embodiment shown, the tong unit is closed, with the out of the clamping point of the nipper unit protruding tuft 17 is detected and combed out by the combing set 13.
  • the combing out is essentially determined by the distance C between the lower gripper plate 15 and an enveloping circle 2 of the combing clothing 13 .
  • a feed roller 18 is rotatably mounted above the lower tong plate 15, which z. B. is driven step by step by a ratchet drive, not shown.
  • a batting 19 (or individual slivers) fed to the combing device 1 is fed to the clamping point of the gripper unit via this feed roller 18 .
  • the nipper unit is pivoted in the direction of a subsequent pair of detaching rollers 20 .
  • the gripper unit opens and the combed-out end of the wadding 19 or the fiber tuft 17 is placed on the end of a previously formed fiber fleece 21 and soldered to it under the action of the clamping point of the detaching rollers 20 and transported away in the conveying direction 22.
