  • the third air duct has a third channel with sound insulation material
  • the fourth air duct has a fourth channel with Soundproofing material. Because all four air ducts have soundproofing material, the sound propagation into the living area is reduced.
  • the sound insulation material is preferably a closed-pore material such as polyester fleece, polyether foam, melamine foam and/or another commercially available material for sound reduction in various material thicknesses, by means of which the sound is absorbed. It is also advantageous that at least two of the above-mentioned sound insulation materials such as polyester fleece, polyether foam, melamine foam can be used in combination for sound insulation in the air duct units.

  • first, the second, the third and/or the fourth air ducts comprise bulk material, in particular a plurality of bodies, for sound insulation.
  • the bodies In a loose fill, the bodies have a shape that leaves a large number of irregularly shaped channels between the bodies.
  • the filler bodies can be, for example, spheres, triangles, tetrapods or other shaped bodies, preferably with a closed-pore surface, which are preferably poured into the four air guide units of the silencer attachment.
  • the bulk material can preferably consist of activated carbon to filter out unpleasant odors, especially from outside.
  • grilles or grille plugs are also advantageous to insert grilles or grille plugs into the connection openings and outlet openings.
  • the grilles or grille plugs prevent any filler from migrating into the connected fluid lines and/or into the supply air, exhaust air, outside air and exhaust air ducts of the ventilation unit.
  • the grid plug preferably has a cylindrical design, with at least one end closed in a grid-like manner.
  • the peripheral surface of the grid plug is preferably permeable to air through a plurality of openings.
  • the grid plug can preferably have a cover made of fleece or fabric, which additionally catches fine particles, such as abrasion of the filling bodies.
  • the incoming air is forced through the grilles or grille plugs into the air duct units of the silencer attachment, which are filled with filler. There, the air finds its way through the irregularly shaped gaps, where the sound is reduced, particularly by multiple reflections and compression, and leaves the silencer attachment through the additional grille or grille plug.
  • This type of design with bulk material in the air duct units prevents the noise generated in the ventilation unit from being dampened and from being propagated into the piping system in the building.
  • the silencer attachment with the four connection openings on its underside has the connection pattern of the connection nozzles of the supply air duct, the exhaust air duct, the exhaust air duct and the outside air duct of the ventilation unit. Description
