Die Prüfbereiche 26 des Fenstersicherheitsfadens 30 sind wie bei dem Sicherheitsfaden 14 der Fig. 3 ausgebildet. Die Freibereiche 32 des Fenstersicherheitsfadens 30 sind allerdings nicht ungenutzt, sondern sind mit einem Entwertungshinweis 34 in Form des Aufdrucks "void" versehen, der selbst bei einer Extraktion des Fenstersicherheitsfadens 30 eine weitere Nutzung der Freibereiche 32 für die Herstellung nachgeahmter Banknoten verhindert. Datenträger, insbesondere Wert- oder Sicherheitsdokument, mit ei- nem Substrat, in das ein lang gestrecktes Fenstersicherheitselement mit einer Längsrichtung und einer dazu senkrechten Querrichtung eingebettet ist, welches an einer Oberfläche des Substrats in einer Abfolge von Fensterbereichen sichtbar und in- einer Abfolge von zwischen den Fensterbereichen liegenden Stegbereichen verdeckt ist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Fenstersicherheitselement in Längsrichtung eine Abfolge von mit Sicherheitsmerkmalen versehenen Prüfbereichen und eine Abfolge von zwischen den Prüfbereichen liegenden Freibereichen ohne Sicherheitsmerkmale aufweist, und das Fenstersicherheitselement mit seiner Abfolge von Prüfbereichen und Freibereichen registriert zu der Abfolge von Fensterbereichen und Stegbereichen in das Substrat eingebettet ist, so dass die Sicherheitsmerkmale der Prüfbereiche in den Fensterbereichen in reflektier- tem Licht sichtbar sind und die Freibereiche in den Stegbereichen verborgen sind. 1.
