Als Sicherheitselemente werden dabei in immer grösserem Umfang optisch veränderliche bzw. optisch wirksame Kennzeichen, beispielsweise beugungsoptisch wirksame Strukturen, z.B. Hologramme, teilweise spiegelnde Flächenbereiche, etc. eingesetzt. Weiterhin ist es bekannt, die Sicherheit von Wertpapieren durch besondere Druckverfahren zu steigern oder auch spezielle Substrate, sei es Papier, sei es Kunststoff, für die Herstellung entsprechender Wertpapiere, insbesondere von Banknoten, zu verwenden. In diesem Zusammenhang bewirkt der Einsatz bestimmter Druckverfahren oder die Verwendung spezieller Substrate bereits, dass die Oberfläche des entsprechenden Sicherheitsdokumentes, insbesondere einer Banknote, eine ganz bestimmte Rauhigkeit bzw. Struktur erhält, die für den menschlichen Tastsinn erfühlbar ist. - Security document according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the edge (7, 8) of the at least one surface region (2, 11, 13, 15; 22, 23, 24, 27, 30, 31, 33) has the shape of a simple geometric figure.
- Security document according to Claim 13, characterized in that the at least one surface region (2, 13, 22) has the form of an elongated rectangle, in particular the form of a strip.
- Security document according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the substrate (1) is deformed in the at least one surface region (15, 33) by means of embossing, forming convexities on a surface (4) of the substrate (1) and corresponding depressions (17, 34) on the other surface (16) of the substrate (1).
- Security document according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the substrate (1) has at least one surface region (2, 11, 12, 15; 22, 27, 29, 30, 31, 33) having a different surface composition from that of the surrounding surface (4, 2, 22) of the substrate (1), and at least one aperture (23, 24).
- Security document according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it is provided with at least one further security element (19, 35) that can be tested optically or mechanically.
- Security document according to Claim 17, characterized in that the security element (35) that can be tested optically or mechanically overlaps, at least in some regions, the at least one surface region (22) having a different surface composition from that of the surrounding surface (4) of the substrate (1), and/or the aperture (23, 24).
- Security document according to Claim 17 or 18, characterized in that the security element (19, 35) that can be tested optically is formed by a pattern of diffraction structures (36), for example a hologram, and/or metallization in some regions.
