- a relaxation chair comprising: a frame forming a backrest; two parallel side members forming a seat, the side members being articulated in the vicinity of the lower end of the frame forming the backrest; two armrests parallel to each other and parallel to the seat side members, the armrests being articulated on the frame forming the backrest, each armrest having a sliding axis parallel to the side members; a U-shaped frame forming a legrest, the two branches of which are articulated at the end of the side members, the upper end of the branches of the frame forming the legrest is articulated at the end of the armrests; a stretched canvas attached to the frame and to the side members by elastic means.
- the chair according to this document further comprises a base formed of two legs, respectively front and rear, the legs each being formed of parallel legs integral with the side members, said legs being articulated together around a yoke, the end of each front leg having a yoke capable of sliding on said sliding axis and a means for locking in position, the legs of the legs being connected to each other by an articulated connecting rod, respectively on the front leg and on a yoke fixed to the rear of the side member , capable of allowing the sliding of each rear leg.
- the transmission of movement between the backrest and the legrest is effected by the deformation of the quadrilateral formed by the backrest, the legrest, the seat rails and the sliding axis of the armrest.
- the entire base is fixed, in particular the sliding yoke and the yoke located at the rear of the side member, so that the armrest moves at the same time as the backrest.
- the yoke at the rear of the spar is integral with the seat spar and allows the leg to slide relative to said spar.
