Claims (9)

  1. Labelling device (1) for applying labels (5a) to containers (2), comprising
    - an unwinding unit (20) for receiving at least one supply roll (21, 22) having a label strip (5);
    - a drive unit (40) having a driven conveying roller (41) for conveying the unwound label strip (5); and
    - comprising a processing unit (50) arranged downstream of the drive unit (40) for separating the label strip (5) into the labels (5a), for optional gluing and for transferring the labels to the containers (2),
    the drive unit (40) comprising a guide element (43) having a guide surface (SF) which is directed towards the conveying roller (41) and is designed so as to be arched around the conveying roller (41) in order to guide the label strip (5) around the conveying roller (41) during threading, characterised in that the guide element is a plastics element, and in that the guide surface (SF) is formed with ribs (43b) in order to discharge an air cushion when threading the label strip (5).
  2. Labelling device (1) according to claim 1, wherein the plastics guide element (43) comprises an antistatic plastics material for guiding the label strip (5) in order to discharge a static charging of the label strip (5) during threading.
  3. Labelling device (1) according to either claim 1 or claim 2, wherein the ribs (43b) extend along the arch-like design of the guide surface (SF).
  4. Labelling device (1) according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the plastics guide element (43) is formed on an entry side (SE) with an entry chamfer (43a) in order to introduce the label strip (5) into an intermediate space between the plastics guide element (43) and the conveying roller (41) during threading.
  5. Labelling device (1) according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the drive unit (40) comprises a pressure roller (42) for pressing the label strip (5) against the conveying roller (41).
  6. Labelling device (1) according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the plastics guide element (43) is arranged on the conveying roller (41) downstream of the pressure roller (42).
  7. Labelling device (1) according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the separating unit (50) comprises a cutting device (51) for separating the label strip (5) into the labels (5a), and wherein the drive unit (40) is arranged along the label strip (5) directly in front of the cutting device (51).
  8. Labelling device (1) according to claim 7, wherein the cutting device (51) comprises a vacuum cylinder (51b) and a knife roller (51a) which acts against the vacuum cylinder (51b) when the label strip (5) is separated.
  9. Labelling device (1) according to either claim 7 or claim 8, wherein an exit side (SA) of the plastics guide element (43) is directed towards the cutting device (51) in order to guide the label strip (5) towards the cutting device (51), in particular into an intermediate space between the vacuum cylinder (51b) and the knife roller (51a).
