Definitions

  • the invention relates to a material plate according to claim 11 and a method for subsequently changing a ready-to-use decorative surface according to claim 1.
  • Decorative surfaces are known, for example, from the wood-based panel industry. There, wood-based panels are provided with a color decor, on which an appropriate protective layer is then applied to protect the color decor. The decorative surface can then also be given a surface structure.
  • the surface structures are embossed, for example with the aid of embossed sheets, into the protective layer, if appropriate also into the color decorative layer. Different degrees of gloss can also be created on the surface of different sections.
  • a major disadvantage of the surface structures produced is that the optical effect of the structures depends on the color of the decorative paper and the depth of the respective structures on the press plate.
  • the invention is therefore based on the object of providing a method for subsequently changing a decorative surface ready for use, with which the structures can be optically changed without interfering with the mechanical or structural strength of the decorative surface. Further the invention has for its object to provide a correspondingly manufactured material plate with a subsequently modified decorative surface.
  • the invention solves the problem by a method with the features of claim 1 and a material plate with the features of claim 11.
  • Advantageous developments of the invention are specified in the dependent claims.
  • a material plate with a ready-to-use decorative layer which comprises a first color decor and a protective layer with a structured surface, is provided, a second color decor is applied to the protective layer and distributed unevenly.
  • the method enables the appearance of the decorative surface of the decorative layer, which is itself decorative, to be changed in a particularly simple manner.
  • the structures of the decorative layer are emphasized by the uneven application of the second color decorative layer, as a result of which the look of the finished decorative layer can be changed comprehensively.
  • Material boards have in particular a carrier board which, for example, wood-based material, in particular a particle board, fiberboard, cement-bonded wood fiber board, wood-plastic composite (WPC), laminate (for example HPL, CPL, solid core made of synthetic resin and paper for further coating), mineral fiber, which are bound in particular with a synthetic resin or a mineral binder, or the like. includes.
  • a carrier board which, for example, wood-based material, in particular a particle board, fiberboard, cement-bonded wood fiber board, wood-plastic composite (WPC), laminate (for example HPL, CPL, solid core made of synthetic resin and paper for further coating), mineral fiber, which are bound in particular with a synthetic resin or a mineral binder, or the like. includes.
  • the material panels are used as floor coverings, wall coverings, ceiling coverings or furniture panels.
  • the decorative layer is part of the material plate and, for example, connected to the carrier plate.
  • the decorative layer encompasses the decorative surface.
  • the decorative surface is a surface which is visible in its intended use situation and which is at least one monochrome first color decor, but especially shows a multicolor color decor.
  • the decorative layer thus has a first color decoration and a protective layer.
  • the first color decor as well as the protective layer can have a multi-layer design.
  • the first color decor can be, for example, a wood decor, tile decor, fantasy decor or the like. demonstrate.
  • the protective layer can in particular be an at least largely transparent, separately formed layer, such as, for example, a lacquer, overlay with synthetic resin, such as melamine resin or the like. be, which is arranged over the entire surface of the color decor and protects it from external influences.
  • the protective layer can also be formed, for example, by the synthetic resin with which the decorative paper of the color decor has been impregnated, and the protective layer can be formed as an integral part of the color decor.
  • the protective layer has a 3D structure, i.e. Starting from a middle level, elevations extending out of the level and depressions extending into the level, which possibly extend into the first color decor.
  • the structure can be embossed.
  • the 3D structure can be structured, for example, by a further layer applied in sections to the protective layer, such as, for example, a transparent lacquer or a transparent synthetic resin, which ultimately also results in a 3D structure.
  • the structuring can be designed, for example, in the case of a color decor representing a wood, in synchronism with the wood pores shown, or in the case of a tile decor, in synchronism with the joints.
  • Ready to use is understood to mean that the surface of the decorative surface of the material plate has been created for its intended use. This means that there is usually no longer any change in the decorative layer on the decorative surface.
  • the material plates with a ready-to-use decorative surface can still be dimensionally adapted, for example.
  • Profiles can also be arranged on the side edges.
  • corresponding locking profiles are provided in a particularly advantageous manner, which enable a glueless locking of two material plates enable each other and, for example, prevent a height offset and the occurrence of a gap between two interlocked material plates.
  • Material panels with a ready-to-use decorative layer are, for example, wood-based panels with a compressed and structured laminate surface, such as a high pressure laminate (HPL) or a continuous pressure laminate (CPL), or laminates (DPL) produced with "direct pressed laminate” with wood-based panels or a carrier plate made of a different material.
  • Carrier boards with an already finished lacquered structured decorative surface made of lacquer which can be arranged, for example, on a wood-based board, can be designed as material boards with a ready-to-use decorative layer.
  • wood-based panels such as fiberboard, preferably MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard), HDF (High Density Fiberboard) or CDF (Compact Density Fiberboard) or chipboard are used as the carrier board for the material boards.
  • material plates made of WPC with a structured final surface can be regarded as ready for use
  • the first color decor or parts of the first color decor mostly consisting of the basic color of the WPC material, i.e. the plastic matrix and the wood particles or paper particles or the like. is formed.
  • Even pure laminate boards, such as HPL, CPL and. ⁇ ., which have one or more layers of a backing paper, a corresponding first color decor, a protective layer and already a structured surface can be considered ready for use.
  • solid cores for example, made of several papers impregnated with synthetic resin and which can be coated with a decorative layer, can also be regarded as a carrier plate for the material plate.
  • fiber cement plates or glass fiber reinforced plastic plates can also be used as the carrier plate for the material plate.
  • These can be coated, for example, like wood-based panels or solid cores with a laminate surface, in the DPL process with synthetic resin-soaked papers or with a ready-to-use decorative layer based on a lacquer coating.
  • the ready-to-use decorative layer can also be formed, for example, similarly to WPC panels, at least partially from the material of the fiber cement panels or the glass fiber-reinforced plastic panels themselves.
  • the second color decor is accordingly formed by color particles applied to the protective layer.
  • the second color decor can, for example, be made in one color. However, color particles with different colors can also be arranged in several work steps, if necessary. In particular, the color of the second color decor is in contrast to the first color decor.
  • the application of the second color decor is understood to mean that the particles forming the second color decor are applied to the protective layer. This can be done by means of known methods and devices for applying solid powdery particles or also by methods and devices for applying appropriately pigmented liquid surface coatings. In particular, the second color decor can thus be sprayed on, rolled on or sprinkled on.
  • the uneven distribution of the particles takes place differently.
  • the excess powdery particles can be removed after application, for example, of a largely uniform layer thickness. These are removed unevenly, which results in an uneven distribution of the particles remaining on the surface.
  • the uneven distribution can either take place after application or also directly when applying the liquid coating.
  • the powdery paint particles or the liquid surface coating for application can be sprayed on, scattered, rubbed, brushed in, massaged in, pressed in or sprayed (into the structures), whereby two work steps, namely the application and the uneven distribution, can be carried out simultaneously, for example.
  • process steps such as rubbing in, brushing in, massaging in, spraying in, etc. can also be carried out only for uneven distribution.
  • the second color decor is applied, e.g. sprayed on, sprinkled on or applied by trickling and then rubbed, brushed in, massaged in, pressed in, etc.
  • an uneven distribution can also be carried out, for example, via an electromagnetic distribution.
  • “Uneven” in the context of the invention means that visible optical effects are generated, in particular the second color decor has different color strengths (dark-light) over the surface. This results from the fact that the application quantity of the second color decoration remaining after the distribution differs between individual sections of the surface.
  • the second color decor can in particular be single-color or at least largely single-color.
  • color particles for the second color decor can all have the same color or be a mixture of color particles with a similar color.
  • the decorative surface has sections with a maximum amount of color particles, sections with a minimum amount of color particles and sections with a amount of color particles that are between the maximum and minimum amounts having.
  • the second color decor is arranged over the entire surface, so that after the distribution there are preferably no sections without color particles, which of course is possible as a decorative variant.
  • the structured surface has elevations and depressions and the second color decor is in the area of the elevations and the depressions arranged.
  • the structured surface in particular the protective layer, has a central plane from which the elevations extend outwards from the first color decor or from which the depressions extend inwards in the direction of the first color decor, possibly into the first color decor .
  • the structures produced thereby are particularly emphasized by arranging the second color decoration in sections in the region of the elevations and in the region of the depressions. The visual impression is changed so that the viewer can perceive the structuring of the surface significantly more.
  • the second color decor can be arranged on the entire surface, that is to say both on the elevations, the depressions and in the region of the middle level. However, the remaining amount is varied in sections.
  • a particular improvement in the perception of the structures is achieved according to the invention in that a larger amount of the particles producing the second color decoration are arranged in the region of the elevations and in the region of the depressions than in the intermediate planes in between.
  • color particles in powder form are applied to the structured surface in order to produce the second color decoration, and then excess color particles are removed.
  • the color particles can be applied largely evenly to the structured surface. This can be done for example by means of a spraying and / or spreading device. The uneven distribution is then carried out by removing excess paint particles. For this purpose, the paint particles can be sucked off or blown off, for example.
  • the paint particles are brushed off.
  • the brushing is done in particular by means of a round brush.
  • the brush of whatever shape, is moved over the surface, in particular with little pressure, so that the present ones are in the area of depressions Color particles can only be brushed to a small extent.
  • the paint particles are brushed off in particular only in one direction over the surface.
  • the paint particles are pressed by means of the brush in the region of elevations onto an edge of an elevation opposite the direction of movement of the brush or are not brushed at all or only brushed to a small extent on the side of the elevation pointing in the direction of movement of the brush.
  • the amount of distribution of the color particles in the region of the elevations can thus be significantly increased compared to the middle level or to the sections which have no structuring but are designed.
  • a fixing layer is particularly preferably arranged on the second color decoration and thus also above the protective layer.
  • the fixing layer can be designed, for example, as a lacquer layer and can also be applied in multiple layers, for example.
  • the fixing layer is applied particularly thin, preferably in the range from 0.5 g / m 2 to 100 g / m 2 , preferably in the range from 5 g / m 2 to 50 g / m 2 .
  • the fixing layer can also be designed as a protective layer for the second color decor.
  • the fixing layer is preferably completely transparent.
  • a pigmented liquid surface coating is applied to the structured surface in order to produce the second color decor.
  • the color particles forming the color of the color decoration are present as pigments in a liquid and are applied together with this to the structured surface.
  • the liquid surface coating can be designed, for example, as a pigmented liquid lacquer.
  • This surface coating can be applied over the entire surface, for example particularly thinly, but also in sections.
  • the application can be carried out using conventional application devices.
  • different amounts of liquid coating agent could be applied in sections using a spray device.
  • the liquid surface coating is cured. This can be done for example by means of UV light or also by means of electron beam curing.
  • a fixing layer or a further protective layer can also be applied to the second color decor applied and cured as a pigmented liquid surface coating. This is in particular made of the same material as the second color decor, for example a lacquer, and is preferably completely transparent.
  • the pigmented liquid surface coating is also described below as a liquid surface coating containing color particles.
  • Both the powdery colored particles and the color particles present in the liquid coating agent can be applied both to a ready-to-use decorative surface with a protective layer of synthetic resin and to a protective layer of lacquer.
  • an adhesion promoter, primer or the like can be used, for example, before applying the second color decor. be applied to the ready-to-use decorative layer.
  • the second color decoration layer in particular a second color decoration layer designed as a liquid coating agent, is particularly preferably applied by means of an application roller.
  • the roller can be guided in such a way that a greater contact pressure is generated on the roller in the area of elevations, due to which a larger amount of the liquid coating agent is also transferred from the application roller to the elevation. Accordingly, a small application quantity can be transferred from the roller in the area of the middle level or of depressions. It is also possible, for example, to produce a run of the applied coating agent by adjusting the viscosity of the liquid coating agent, so that a larger amount of coating agent collects in the area of depressions than, for example, in the area of elevations.
  • the application amount of both the liquid coating agent containing color particles and the powdery color particles is determined by the configuration of the protective layer on the first Color decor controlled.
  • the structured surface has sections with high and low roughness and the uneven distribution of the second color pattern takes place in such a way that a larger amount of color particles (powdered or in the form of the pigmented liquid coating agent) occurs on sections with higher roughness ) is arranged than on sections with a lower roughness, which are smoother.
  • the roughness of individual sections can thus be used to control the extent to which the respective sections absorb the applied color particles or how well the applied color particles adhere to the respective sections. It should be noted that the roughness is considered particularly in the area of microstructures. This means that, for example, the microporosity of the surface is adapted.
  • the surface of an elevation, a depression and / or a middle plane can have micropores in sections or even completely, or can be highly compacted in sections (fewer to no micropores).
  • adjoining elevations, depressions and / or middle planes can also be highly compressed or provided with micropores. Fewer color particles adhere to highly compressed sections than to the less compressed surface sections, which, for example, have more micropores.
  • control over the degree of gloss of the individual sections can also take place.
  • the structured surface has sections with different degrees of gloss, the second color decor being applied to sections with a lower degree of gloss with a larger amount than to sections which, in contrast, have a higher degree of gloss.
  • the degree of gloss of the decorative surfaces or of the individual sections which are designed, for example, as lacquered surfaces or synthetic resin surfaces, can be determined in accordance with DIN EN ISO 2813. In the embodiment according to the invention, however, it is not the absolute gloss level of the respective sections that is decisive for the uneven distribution, but rather the difference in gloss level between two or more sections and the associated difference in the quantity applied.
