Definitions

  • the invention relates to a connection terminal for connecting an electrical conductor, which has a housing, a current bar, a clamping spring having a holding limb and a clamping limb, the conductor being able to be clamped against the current bar by means of the clamping limb, and a pivotably mounted actuating element for actuating the clamping spring.
  • the actuating element has an axle body about which the actuating element can be pivoted, wherein a receiving device is arranged on the holding leg of the clamping spring, in which the axle body is rotatably mounted.
  • a lever-operated connection terminal which has a clamping spring designed as a torsion spring for clamping an electrical conductor inserted into the connection terminal against a current bar.
  • the actuating element for actuating the clamping spring has an axis of rotation, which is arranged transversely to the conductor insertion direction in an associated conductor insertion opening or in the extension of the conductor insertion opening that continues in the conductor insertion direction to the clamping point.
  • the aim is to ensure that the clamping spring is actuated relatively close to the axis of rotation of the actuating element, which is intended to reduce the leverage forces acting on the housing of the connection terminal.
  • the DE 10 2012 110 759 A1 discloses a spring-loaded terminal connection with a busbar, a clamping spring in the form of a cage tension spring and an actuating element which is movably mounted to act on the actuating section of the clamping spring such that a terminal point can be opened and closed.
  • a bearing arm extends from the direction of the busbar through a slot in the clamping section and/or in the actuating section of the clamping spring.
  • the section of the bearing arm which extends through the slot is arranged in an area between the side edges of the clamping spring and carries the actuating element.

  • the window allows the thigh to deflect towards the support leg and between the support leg and the thigh there is a support element which limits deflection and consists of a leg section bent or angled towards the thigh at the end of the support leg.
  • a straight tongue is cut out of the bent leg section and is passed through the window in the front leg while resting on the conductor rail.
  • the object of the invention is to provide a connection terminal by means of which the forces acting on the housing when a conductor is clamped can be further reduced.
  • connection terminal is characterized in that the holding leg has an opening through which a free end of the current bar is passed and through which the conductor to be connected can be passed, wherein the receiving device is arranged on the holding leg above the opening and above the current bar guided through the opening.
  • the actuating element is mounted directly on the holding leg of the clamping spring, which, in contrast to the clamping leg of the clamping spring, is positioned in a fixed position in the connection terminal, in particular the housing of the connection terminal.
  • the holding leg preferably rests flat on the housing, in particular flat on an inner wall delimiting an interior space of the housing.
  • the actuating element is mounted with its axle body on the holding leg of the clamping spring, so that the axis of rotation of the actuating element running through the axle body is positioned in the region of the clamping spring.
  • a receiving device is arranged on the clamping spring, in which the axle body is rotatably positioned.
  • the receiving device is preferably formed directly on the retaining leg of the clamping spring.
  • the receiving device is preferably formed in one piece with the retaining leg, so that the receiving device is bent out of the metal strip of the clamping spring.
  • the receiving device is U-shaped and at least partially encloses the axle body.
  • the shape of the receiving device is preferably adapted to the outer contour of the axle body, so that optimal guidance of the axle body within the receiving device can be achieved during a pivoting movement of the actuating element.
  • the clamping spring is designed in such a way that the holding leg has an opening through which a free end of the current bar is passed and through which the conductor to be connected can be passed.
  • the opening is preferably designed as a window-like opening and is used both for passing through the current bar and for passing through the conductor to be connected.
  • the receiving device is arranged above the opening and above the current bar guided through the opening on the holding leg of the clamping spring. This positioning of the receiving device and the current bar and the opening relative to one another allows a space-saving arrangement of the individual parts within the terminal to be achieved, as a result of which the overall size of the terminal can be reduced.
  • connection terminal can be further reduced in that the clamping leg is integrally formed on a first free end of the retaining leg and that the receiving device is arranged on a second free end of the retaining leg opposite the first free end.
  • the opening in the holding leg is formed between the two free ends of the holding leg.
  • the arrangement of the clamping limb on the holding limb and the arrangement of the receiving device on the holding limb is preferably provided on one and the same longitudinal side surface of the holding limb, namely on the longitudinal side surface which points in the direction of the interior of the housing and thus the interior of the connecting terminal in which the connection or clamp the conductor against the current bar.
  • the clamping leg of the clamping spring is preferably shaped in such a way that it has a contact area, by means of which the clamping leg rests against a longitudinal side surface of the holding leg, so that when the clamping leg moves into an open position and into a closed position of the clamping spring, it moves along the longitudinal side surface of the holding leg is movable.
  • a part of the clamping leg can thus slide along the holding leg, so that a defined guidance of the clamping leg can be formed by means of the holding leg.
  • the clamping leg is not formed in a straight line, but that the clamping leg has an S-shape. Due to the S-shape of the clamping leg, the clamping force to be applied by means of the clamping leg can be increased without increasing the overall dimensions, in particular the width, of the clamping spring. In addition, the spring effect of the clamping leg can be improved.
  • the clamping leg can have a first deflection section connected to the holding leg, a second deflection section connected to the first deflection section via a flexible joint, and a clamping section connected to the second deflection section via the contact area.
  • the two deflection sections and also the clamping section are preferably formed in a straight line, whereas the bending joint and the contact area are preferably formed in a curved manner.
  • the two deflection sections preferably have the same length, whereas the clamping section preferably has a significantly shorter length.
  • the clamping section has a length which is approximately one third of the length of a deflection section.
  • the two deflection sections, together with the holding leg preferably form a delta shape.
  • the spring effect of the clamping leg is preferably achieved via the two deflection sections, the deflection sections being arranged at a distance from the conductor to be connected. The conductor is connected or clamped via the clamping section of the clamping leg.
  • the actuating element is preferably designed in such a way that it has a first actuating bar and a second actuating bar arranged parallel thereto, by means of which the clamping spring is actuated, the axle body preferably being arranged between the first actuating bar and the second actuating bar.
  • the actuating webs are elongate and extend, starting from the axle body, to the clamping leg of the clamping spring, with the actuating webs pressing the clamping leg by a pivoting movement of the actuating element to actuate the clamping spring and thus exerting a force on it.
  • the actuating webs When the clamping spring is actuated, the actuating webs preferably do not press directly on the clamping section of the clamping leg and thus not on that part of the clamping leg which is in direct contact with the clamped conductor, but rather the actuating webs are preferably in operative connection with the second deflection section of the clamping spring to actuate the clamping spring Clamping spring which is currently not in direct contact with the conductor to be connected.
