Die Erfindung betrifft eine Trommel fĆ¼r ein WƤschebehandlungsgerƤt, ein WƤschebehandlungsgerƤt sowie ein Verfahren zur Herstellung der Trommel. Die Erfindung betrifft insbesondere eine Trommel fĆ¼r ein WƤschebehandlungsgerƤt, umfassend einen Zylindermantel, welcher in Richtung der Breite des Zylindermantels eine Naht aufweist, und mindestens eine Seitenwand, wobei der Zylindermantel an mindestens einem seiner Enden mittels eines Falzes, der auch als Bƶrdelung bezeichnet werden kann, mit einer Seitenwand verbunden ist, ein Verfahren zur Herstellung dieser Trommel sowie ein WƤschebehandlungsgerƤt, welches diese Trommel enthƤlt.The invention relates to a drum for a laundry treatment device, a laundry treatment device and a method for producing the drum. WƤschebehandlungsgerƤte weisen im Allgemeinen eine vorgenannte Trommel mit einer Bƶrdelung auf. Diese Trommel bewegt sich wƤhrend der DurchfĆ¼hrung eines WƤschebehandlungsprogrammes. Im Allgemeinen lƤuft die Trommel auf RƤdern oder Rollen (hierin als "Rollen" bezeichnet), auf denen sie um eine im Wesentlichen horizontal gelagerte Achse drehbar gelagert ist. Der Antrieb der Trommel erfolgt in der Regel durch einen Riemenantrieb. Die Trommel kann eine integrierte RĆ¼ckenwand aufweisen, welche sich somit bei der Drehung der Trommel mit dreht, oder aber eine stehende RĆ¼ckwand. In einer integrierten RĆ¼ckwand kann eine Trommeldrehachse gelagert sein, so dass im Fall der integrierten RĆ¼ckwand hƤufig zwei Rollen genĆ¼gen, die mit dem vorderen Ende der Trommel in Kontakt stehen. Es werden allerdings bisweilen auch vier Rollen eingesetzt. Eine vorteilhafte Lagerung wĆ¼rde Ć¼ber die Bƶrdelung der Trommel stattfinden, wobei die Bƶrdelung der Bereich ist, an welchem der Trommelmantel mit einer Seitenwand verbunden ist. Je nachdem, ob die Trommel eine integrierte oder stehende RĆ¼ckwand hat, gibt es entweder eine oder zwei Bƶrdelungen. Claims (14)

  1. Drum (1) for a laundry treatment appliance, comprising a cylindrical jacket (2), which has a seam (3) in the direction of the width of the cylindrical jacket (2), and at least one side wall (4), wherein the cylindrical jacket (2) is connected to a side wall (4) at at least one of its ends by means of a fold (5), characterised in that a plastic part (8,9), which covers the fold (5) at least on a fold upper side (6), is attached along the fold (5), wherein the plastic part (8,9) covers the fold (5) on the fold upper side (6) and a fold lower side (7).
  2. Drum (1) according to claim 1, characterised in that the plastic part (8,9) is a film (8) made of a thermoplastic, or comprises such a film.
  3. Drum (1) according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the film (8) has a thickness in the range of 0.3 to 1 mm.
  4. Drum (1) according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the plastic part (8,9) comprises a plastic shaped body (9).
  5. Drum (1) according to claim 4, characterised in that the plastic shaped body (9) has a profile, at least on a lower side (10) facing the fold (5).
  6. Drum (1) according to claim 4 or 5, characterised in that the plastic shaped body (9) consists of at least two, preferably three parts.
  7. Drum (1) according to one of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the plastic part (8,9) contains polyethylene or consists of polyethylene.
  8. Drum (1) according to one of claims 1 to 7, characterised in that the plastic part (7) grasps around the fold (5) from the fold upper side (6) to the fold lower side (7).
  9. Drum (1) according to one of claims 1 to 8, characterised in that the plastic part (8,9) is embodied in a flat manner in the part of its upper side covering the fold (5).
  10. Drum (1) according to one of claims 1 to 9, characterised in that a width bK of the plastic part (8,9) covering the fold (5) is at least 1.5 times the width bF of the fold (5).
  11. Method for producing a drum (1) for a laundry treatment appliance, comprising a cylindrical jacket (2), which has a seam (3) in the direction of the width of the cylindrical jacket (2), and at least one side wall (4), wherein the cylindrical jacket (2) is connected to a side wall (4) at at least one of its ends by means of a fold (5), and a plastic part (8,9), which covers the fold (5) at least on a fold upper side (6), is attached along the fold (5), wherein the plastic part (8,9) covers the fold (5) on the fold upper side (6) and a fold lower side (7), comprising the steps
    (a) providing the drum (1) with an uncovered fold; and
    (b) attaching the plastic part (8,9) to at least the fold upper side (6) by adhesively bonding the plastic part (8,9) to the fold (5) or by shrinking the plastic part (8,9) onto the fold (5).
  12. Method according to claim 11, characterised in that the plastic part (8,9) is a film (8) made of a thermoplastic and is attached to the fold (5) by shrinking.
  13. Method according to claim 11, characterised in that the plastic part (8,9) is a plastic shaped body (9), which has a profile, at least on a lower side (10) facing the fold (5), and is attached to the fold (5) by adhesively bonding or shrinking the plastic part (8,9).
  14. Laundry treatment appliance, comprising a drum (1) for receiving laundry items to be treated, wherein the drum (1) comprises a cylindrical jacket (2), which has a seam (3) in the direction of the width of the cylindrical jacket (2), and at least one side wall (4), wherein the cylindrical jacket (3) is connected to a side wall (4) at at least one of its ends by means of a fold (5), characterised in that a plastic part (8,9), which covers the fold (5) at least on a fold upper side (6), is attached along the fold (5), wherein the plastic part (8,9) covers the fold (5) on the fold upper side (6) and a fold lower side (7).
