Abstract

1461853 Tumbler dryer BURCO DEAN Ltd 6 Feb 1975 [15 Feb 1974] 6887/74 Heading F4G [Also in Division F2] A tumbler dryer has a rotatable drum 5 supported in a stationary casing 6 by a toroidal ring 8 of synthetic plastics material between the drum and casing. The latter has a ring 10, Fig. 1, in engagement with the ring 8 which may be formed of P.T.F.E. impregnated nylon for example. The drum 5 may be grooved at 11 and may have the ring 8 fixed thereto. The ring 8 may be free to rotate relative to both the drum and the casing and may serve as a seal. In a modification as shown in Fig. 2 the ring 10 is provided with a groove 12.
