Definitions

  • the invention relates to a method and a device for producing an upholstery product.
  • the invention also relates to an upholstery product as such.
  • the upholstery product is made from a flat, elongated and, in particular, two-ply or multi-ply paper strip.
  • a generic method, a generic device and a generic upholstery product is from the DE 10 2012 222 805 B3 known.
  • the present invention is based, inter alia, on the object of a particular DE 10 2012 222 805 B3 known method of further developing a device disclosed there and an upholstery product disclosed there.
  • the method according to the invention is consequently characterized in that, prior to crumpling, the two-layer or multi-layer, adjacent and already opened edge areas are turned over towards the middle area.
  • the paper strip can preferably be crumpled in the middle area in such a way that the folded edge areas are also crumpled up.
  • the fact that the edge areas are also turned over and preferably also crumpled up results in an upholstery product with a comparatively high density, whereby the upholstery product is also well suited for upholstering heavier objects.
  • Such an upholstery product then advantageously does not have any freely radially outwardly protruding edge areas, since these are turned over before being crumpled.
  • an elongated paper strip is consequently provided.
  • the paper strip has a central area extending in the longitudinal direction as well as two-layer or multi-layer adjacent edge areas that are not connected to one another.
  • the paper strip has two or more layers and that the individual layers are connected to one another in the central area, for example in a form-fitting or material fit.
  • gluing the individual layers in the central area has proven to be preferred.
  • the adhesive connection can preferably run along a line that extends in the longitudinal direction.
  • the adhesive connection can only be in sections, for example at points.
  • the adhesive connection can also be provided along a closed line.
  • the paper strip does not have to be formed from layers lying on top of one another; Other configurations are also conceivable, such as, for example, two already folded paper strips which are connected to one another along their two folded edges and this connected area forming the central area according to the invention.
  • the connection can be form-fitting or cohesive.
  • the folded edges can be connected before opening and turning over.
  • the flat folded paper strips are first opened and their edge areas are turned over.
  • the opened and folded paper strips are then connected to one another along their folded edges, with the folded edges connected to one another then forming the central area, along which it is then crumpled.
  • the method steps in claim 1 therefore do not specify any mandatory chronological order;
  • the only decisive factor is that before crumpling along the middle area, the edge areas are turned over to the middle area or to the folded edges in the case of folded and not yet connected paper strips.
  • edge areas In the initial state of the paper strip, which can be pressed flat and, in particular, flat, adjacent edge areas preferably rest against one another.
  • edge regions In the case of a two-ply paper strip, the middle region of which is connected, there are then preferably four edge regions, two edge regions then in each case resting against one another in the flat state.
  • three or more layers can also be provided. Then three or more edge regions are provided adjacent to each other in the flat state.
  • a paper strip, which in particular has two layers, is comparatively easy to provide.
  • the individual layers are only connected to one another in the middle area when the paper strip is provided, or that the individual layers in the middle area are connected to one another before the paper strip is provided, i.e. in a preceding operation that can also take place at a different location will.
  • the adjacent, in particular adjacent Edge areas turned into a paper strip with a star-like cross section.
  • the paper strip is preferably moved over one or more impact cores.
  • a star-like paper strip is then created with a total of four "rays" protruding in the radial direction, these still being connected in the middle, central area. If three layers are provided, a "star” with six “rays” is created; if more layers are provided, a "star” with correspondingly more "rays”.
  • the respective adjacent beams preferably enclose an angle in the range from 60 ° to 120 ° and preferably in the range from 70 ° to 100 ° and more preferably in the range from 85 ° to 95 °.
  • the edge areas are turned over to the middle area.
  • the edge areas can be turned upwards, downwards or in such a way that one edge area is turned around the respectively adjacent other edge area.
  • the paper strip is crumpled at least along the central area, preferably together with the edge areas.
  • the crumpling takes place in the longitudinal direction at least along the middle area in such a way that advantageously sections of the middle area are moved or pushed together with the edge areas towards one another, so that the length of the The paper strip in the crumpled state, i.e. the upholstery product, is shorter than the paper strip in the non-crumpled state.
  • This also results in greater resilience in the longitudinal direction of the crumpled paper strip compared to the non-crumpled paper strip.
  • An upholstery product in which the edge areas are turned over, whereby these are not also crumpled up likewise has favorable properties.
  • the envelope module can include envelope means such as envelope surfaces, envelope edges or envelope wires. Opening can also take place in the handling module before or at the same time as handling.
  • the envelope means can then be designed identically to the impact means.
  • the envelope module is advantageously followed by a crumpling module in which the folded paper strip is crumpled.
  • the crumpling module and / or the envelope module are advantageously an independent assembly educated.
  • This has the advantage that, although identical crumple modules but different envelope modules can be used for different paper strips, in particular for paper strips of different widths.
  • a manufacturer of the upholstery products stores different cover modules for paper strips of different widths, and that an associated cover module is used depending on the paper strip to be used.
  • the cover modules are designed in such a way that the folded paper strips each have the same width, so that this folded paper strip can be fed to the crumple module.
  • One and the same crumple module can consequently be combined with different crumple modules and thus be used for different starting paper strips.
  • the crumpling is advantageously carried out by means of a first set of drive rollers and a second set of drive rollers, the second set of drive rollers rotating at an angular speed which is less than the angular speed of the first set of drive rollers.
  • the angular speed of at least one of the sets of drive rollers for setting the crumple density is adjustable.
  • different speeds can be used to produce upholstery products that are crumpled to different degrees and thus with different densities.
  • the first set of drive rollers turns comparatively quickly and the second set of drive rollers comparatively slowly, then there is a comparatively strong build-up and compression of the upholstery product during crumpling. This results in a very dense upholstery product. If less dense upholstery products are to be produced, the angular speed, in particular of the second set of drive rollers, can be increased.
  • Such a method can be used both with paper strips, the edge areas of which are not turned over towards the middle area, and with paper strips, in which the edge areas are turned over and preferably also crumpled up.
  • the upholstery product is separated into two areas by braking or stopping the first set of drive rollers while the second set of drive rollers continues to be driven.
  • the two areas are advantageously separated from one another by tearing them apart.
  • the paper strip has intended separation points running transversely to the longitudinal direction, in particular in the form of perforations.
  • severing can take place by cutting, in particular by means of a cutting device.
  • the addressed object is also achieved by an apparatus for producing an upholstery product, in particular for carrying out the method according to the invention, according to the Features of claim 5 solved.
  • the device is distinguished in particular by the fact that a turning mechanism is provided for turning over the edge areas towards the central area and that the crumpling mechanism is preferably set up in such a way that the edge areas that are turned over are also crumpled up.
  • a turning mechanism is provided for turning over the edge areas towards the central area and that the crumpling mechanism is preferably set up in such a way that the edge areas that are turned over are also crumpled up.
  • an envelope module in which the envelope mechanism is arranged, and a crumple module, in which the crumple mechanism is arranged, are provided, the envelope module being exchangeable for another envelope module when using paper strips of different widths.
  • This has the advantage that for different paper strips, in particular for paper strips of different widths, identical crumple modules can be used but different envelope modules.
  • the crumpling mechanism is formed by a second set of drive rollers interacting with the first set of drive rollers in such a way that the second set of drive rollers can be rotated at an angular speed that is lower than that Angular speed at which the first set of drive rollers is rotatable, a control unit for Adjustment of the angular speed of at least one of the sets of drive rollers is provided so that the crumple density can be adjusted with the control unit.
  • an upholstery product which is produced in particular using a method according to the invention and / or which is produced in particular using a device according to the invention.
  • Such an upholstery product in the completely manufactured state has an elongated paper strip with a longitudinally extending central region and with two or more layered edge regions that are not connected to one another, the adjacent edge regions being turned up like a star and turned over towards the central region.
  • the paper strip is crumpled along the middle area and preferably also along the folded edge areas.
  • a flat, elongated paper strip which has a central region extending in the longitudinal direction and two or more layers of adjacent edge regions that are not connected to one another, can be used as the starting material for such an upholstery product.
  • two or more folded paper strips can be used as the starting material, which have an inner area, which has the respective folded edge, and an outer area with the two-layer or multi-layer edge areas.
