Definitions

  • the invention relates to a safety device for a kite according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
  • Such a safety device usually has a chicken loop which can be connected to a harness hook of a harness belt and which can be opened in an emergency by means of a release mechanism.
  • the safety device is usually connected to the two front lines directly or via a common pull line, while the control lines (back lines) of the kite are attached to the ends of a bar through which the pull line penetrates centrally in the radial direction.
  • the kite is usually still connected to the surfer via a safety leash, so that when you let go of the bar and open the chicken loop, the kite sinks without pressure and remains connected to the surfer via the safety leash.
  • Such a safety device is for example in the publications US 6,988,694 B2 or US 6,691,954 B1 disclosed.
  • an eyelet or ring is formed on the end section of the chicken loop, which can be hooked into an articulated pin of the safety device.
  • this pin can be placed upwards, ie away from the surfer, on the common pulling line and fixed there by means of a grip sleeve that is pushed from above over the pin attached to the pulling line. This grip sleeve is also guided along the pull line.
  • this grip sleeve is pushed away from the surfer, so that the articulated pin is released and, due to the tensile force of the kite acting on the chicken loop, folds down towards the surfer, so that the active engagement between the pin and the ring or the eyelet at the end of the loop is lifted and the chicken loop is released from the harness hook.
  • the invention is based on the object of creating a safety device in which assembly is simplified after triggering.
  • the safety device has a loop that can be detachably connected to a harness hook.
  • An end section of this loop can be locked in a closed position by means of a release mechanism, with a retention area of a pivot lever, which is pivotably supported by a pivot bearing, rests on the loop end section.
  • the pivot lever By moving a handle, preferably a grip sleeve, out of a basic position, the pivot lever can be pivoted into a release position in which the loop end section is released from the release mechanism so that the loop opens.
  • the one-part or multi-part pivot lever is slidably or movably mounted such that the loop end section can be brought from the release position into the closed position when the grip sleeve is in the basic position.
  • the assembly of the safety device thus takes place without adjusting the grip sleeve / handle, so that assembly can be carried out without any problems even under unfavorable conditions, for example in strong waves or the like.
  • the opening for the insertion of the loop end section is preferably made possible by moving or pivoting the pivot lever or a pivot lever part, in particular its pivot bearing.
  • the pivot bearing and / or the pivot lever is elastically preloaded in the direction of a functional position, for example in the direction of the basic position of the grip sleeve, and can be moved into an open position by applying the loop end section against this preload, so that an insertion path for the loop end section arises.
  • the functional position is the position that the pivot lever usually assumes in the closed state.
  • the pivot lever is mounted on a main body on which the grip sleeve is guided and another end section of the loop is held.
  • the construction of the safety device is particularly simple when the pivot lever is mounted on a spring supported on a main body.
  • such a spring has an approximately rectangular or trapezoidal contour that is open on one side, the pivot lever being mounted on a retaining leg which connects two torsion legs extending approximately transversely thereto, which extend to bearing legs which extend approximately parallel to the retaining leg and which are attached to the Main body are mounted in such a way that the holding leg with the pivot lever can perform the displacement stroke to release the insertion path.
  • the bearing legs of the spring engage with prestress in bearing recesses of the main body, which are preferably offset from one another. As a result of this offset, the spring is then suitably biased.
  • the safety function can be further improved if a support surface for the loop end section is provided on the main body, which is inclined at an angle to the axis of the main body towards the retention area.
  • the locking can be further improved if a contact surface of the closing lever that is adjacent to the loop end section is inclined in the closed position in opposite directions with respect to the support surface.
  • Wear can be reduced if the support surface is covered by a metallic cover.
  • the pivot lever is supported in its closed position (functional position) via at least one support leg on the main body.
  • the pivot lever on the other side of the pivot bearing has two fork-shaped driving legs which in the release position grip around the main body in sections and which extend approximately parallel to the main body in the closed position.
  • the safety device 1 shown - also called safety - has a chicken loop 2 which is mounted with an end section 4 on a main body 6. Another end section of the loop 2 is provided with a ring or bracket, which is referred to below as pin 8 (see also Figure 3 ).
  • This pin 8 is plugged into an in Figure 1 with the reference numeral 10 provided trigger mechanism of the safety device 1 is used.
  • This trigger mechanism 10 has a grip sleeve (or other handle) 12, which is axially adjustable on the elongated, in Figure 1 is guided in the vertical direction extending main body 6.
  • this main body 6 has a guide part 14 which is surrounded by the grip sleeve 12 and in which a rotor head (vortex) 16 is guided, which enables the front lines to be unscrewed.
  • a rotor axis, not shown, of the rotor head 16 passes through the main body 6, in particular its guide part 14, and is mounted in the area between the end section 4 and the pin 8 of the loop 2 via a bearing arrangement 18 with ball bearings.
  • This basic structure of the safety device 1 corresponds in principle to that as it is in the prior art according to FIG DE 10 2009 029 987 B4 is described.
  • the loop 2 is also designed in a manner known per se with an elastic finger 20 (also called a chicken dick), which is used to secure the loop 2 in a recess in the harness hook.
  • an elastic finger 20 also called a chicken dick
  • FIG Figure 2 shows a front view of the safety device 1 according to FIG Figure 1 with the grip sleeve 12 hidden.
  • the guide part 14, on which the rotor head 16 is rotatably mounted can be seen.
  • a handle spring 22 is supported, which engages on an inner shoulder of the handle sleeve 12 and this in the view according to FIG Figure 2 biased downward into a basic position against a base 24.
  • a pivot lever 26 is mounted on this base 24, which in the illustrated closed position of the trigger mechanism 10 locks the pin 8 so that it is held on the main body 6.
  • Such a pivot lever 26 is also provided in the aforementioned prior art.
  • the pivot lever 26 is not held “rigidly” but adjustably on the main body 6 or another component.
  • the pivot lever 26 is supported by a pivot bearing 28 on a spring 30, which in turn is fixed on the main body 6. This is done in such a way that the spring 30 is held with a preload that the pivot lever 26 in its in Figure 2 preloaded functional position shown. Further details of this arrangement are based on Figures 3 to 6 explained.
  • FIG Figure 3 shows an exploded view of essential components of the safety device 1 according to FIG Figure 1 .
  • the end section 4 of the loop 2 is held with the finger 20 via a screw 31 on a corresponding receptacle on the base 24 of the main body 6.
  • the ring-shaped or loop-shaped pin 8 is fastened by means of a mounting plate 32.
  • the pin 8 can be brought into locking engagement with the pivot lever 26, the structure of which will be explained in more detail below.
  • This pivot lever 26 is supported by a pivot bearing 28 on the spring 30, which in turn is fastened to the base 24.
  • FIG 3 Also shown is a preferably metallic cover 36, which is placed on the support surface 34 to minimize wear, so that the fatigue strength of the safety device 1 is guaranteed even under unfavorable operating conditions. Also shown in Figure 3 are parts of the bearing arrangement 18, via which the rotor head 16 is rotatably mounted in the base 24.
  • FIG. 4 shows a detailed representation of the safety device 1 according to FIG Figures 1 to 3 , the grip sleeve 12 being hidden.
  • the pin 8 ie its leg extending transversely to the loop extension, is engaged from behind by the pivot lever 26 and pressed against the support surface 34 or the cover 36 arranged on it, so that it is positively and non-positively fixed.
  • the pivot lever 26 has an approximately angular leg, hereinafter referred to as the retention area 38, which engages around the pin 8 in sections. This angular retention area 38 extends in the closed position away from the pivot bearing 28 downwards, beyond the pin 8.
  • the pivot lever 26 has two U-shaped or fork-shaped driver legs 40, 42 which extend away from the pivot bearing 28 in the closed position approximately parallel to the guide part 14 of the main body 6.
  • Two support arms 44, 46 extend from the two end sections of the pivot bearing 28 at an angle to the two driver legs 40, 42 and are supported on a support 47 of the base 24 in the illustrated closed position of the closing lever 26.
  • the pivot lever 26 is mounted on the spring 30 via the pivot bearing 28, which is shown in FIG Figure 6 is shown in a single representation.
  • the spring 30 is bent from a spring wire and forms an approximately rectangular or trapezoidal structure that is open on one side.
  • the base of this spring 30 is formed by a retaining leg 48 which is inserted into the pivot bearing 28 of the pivot lever 26 is inserted, so that the pivot lever 26 is held on this spring 30 on the one hand and is also pivotable about the holding leg 48.
  • two transverse torsion legs 50, 52 adjoin the retaining leg 48, which in turn terminate in a bearing leg 54, 56, the bearing legs 54, 56 extending approximately parallel to the retaining leg 48 offset to one another.
  • these two bearing legs 54, 56 are each inserted into a spring receptacle 58, 60 of the base 24, the geometry of these spring receptacles 58, 60 or the geometry of the spring 30 being selected so that, in the illustrated assembly position, they push the pivot lever 26 downwards ( Opinion Figure 4 ) is applied in the direction of the functional position, so that the two support arms 44, 46 rest on the support 47 of the base 24, the geometry of the pivot lever 26 being selected such that the retaining area 38 engages behind the pin 8.
  • the end section 4 of the loop 2 is fixed in a receptacle in the base 24 via the screw 31.
  • this screw 31 is loosened, the entire loop 2 can be removed from the base 24.
  • Two stop pieces 64, 66 for the two driver legs 40, 42, which limit the opening stroke of the pivot lever 26, are also formed diametrically opposite one another on the guide part 14. In the closed position, the grip sleeve 12 engages around the pivot lever 26 so that it cannot perform a pivot movement.
  • the grip sleeve 12 is displaced upward in the direction of the arrow towards the rotor head 16, this displacement taking place against the force of the grip spring 22.
  • the retention area 38 of the pivot lever can pivot out, this pivoting taking place around the bearing leg 54 of the spring 30.
  • the two support arms 44, 46 slide off the support 47 so that the spring 30 is twisted somewhat.
  • the two driver legs 40, 42 the distance between which is slightly greater than the diameter of the guide part 14 and the handle spring 22, then swivels backwards towards the guide part 14, so that this is arranged in sections between the two driver legs 40, 42.
  • a gap 68 opens between the retention area 38 and the support surface 34, so that the pin 8 comes out of the release mechanism 10 due to the tensile load of the kite and detaches itself from the harness hook - the safety function is activated.
  • the pivot lever 26 is mounted displaceably so that it can be displaced when the grip sleeve 12 is closed in order to bring the pin 8 into the closed position.
  • This displaceability of the pivot lever 26 upwards, away from the loop 2, is advantageous because accidental opening due to the tensile load on the kite is then reliably prevented - this opening is only possible by adjusting the grip sleeve 12.
  • a safety device for a kite with a loop that can be opened by means of a grip sleeve of a release mechanism. According to the invention, the reinsertion of the loop takes place without moving or actuating the grip sleeve.
