Definitions

  • the invention relates to a pen for writing and / or painting purposes with a shaft and a lead arranged within the shaft and axially adjustable in the longitudinal direction of the shaft between an active position and a rest position.
  • Pens in which the mine is mechanically adjusted between an active position and a rest position are known in various designs and are used, for example, as ballpoint pens.
  • rotary pens or rotary ballpoint pens a rear section of the shaft is rotated relative to a front section in order to adjust the mine axially.
  • push pens e.g. push ballpoint pens, which have an actuating or push button at their rear end, by actuating the pushbutton, the mine is moved between the active position and the rest position.
  • the lead is advanced, for example, with the help of a spindle drive or a thread, so that a rotary movement of the shaft or a movement of the actuating button in the longitudinal direction of the shaft is transmitted to the mine and this is thus adjusted axially.
  • a spindle drive or a thread so that a rotary movement of the shaft or a movement of the actuating button in the longitudinal direction of the shaft is transmitted to the mine and this is thus adjusted axially.
  • a pen is known in which an actuating element is arranged laterally on the shaft, wherein the Actuating element protrudes laterally from the shaft in the rest position of the mine and is withdrawn into the shaft in the active position.
  • DE 36 06 336 A1 discloses a writing implement which has an actuating element which can be moved transversely to the longitudinal center axis of the writing implement and which can be lowered into or removed from a recess of the writing implement.
  • DE 43 33 150 C2 discloses a lateral actuation device for a lead writing instrument in order to move its lead from the retracted position into the writing position and vice versa by means of lateral forces acting by means of a rotatably mounted thrust conversion element.
  • the actuating device comprises a lateral clip that extends approximately parallel to the mine axis, a cross bar at the upper end of the clip, which is inclined relative to the perpendicular to the mine axis and can be moved in a correspondingly inclined cross channel - above the mine - and a recess in the cross bar, into which a wedge-shaped locking tip of the rotatably mounted thrust-relocating element protrudes, the other end of which is designed for direct or indirect contact with the mine.
  • the object is achieved by a pen for writing and / or painting purposes with the features according to claim 1.
  • the pen for writing and / or painting purposes comprises a shaft and a mine, which are arranged within the shaft and axially between an active position and a rest position is adjustable in the longitudinal direction of the shaft, the mine being arranged completely inside the shaft in the rest position and protruding from a front end of the shaft in the active position.
  • the pen further comprises an actuating element movable perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the shaft between an active position and a rest position, which is operatively connected to the mine via a connecting element in such a way that the mine upon movement of the actuating element perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the shaft between the rest position and the Active position is axially adjustable in the longitudinal direction of the shaft, the connecting element being rotatably mounted in a central portion on the shaft, a first end portion of the connecting element on the actuating element and a second end portion of the connecting element being mounted directly or indirectly on the mine, and the connecting element having at least two connecting members includes, which are each hingedly connected to one another.
  • the actuating element can be moved vertically upwards and downwards, in relation to a horizontally held pin, that is to say in the radial direction in relation to a central longitudinal axis of the pin, and the mine can be moved horizontally back and forth.
  • the movement of the actuating element and the movement of the mine thus take place in directions perpendicular to one another.
  • the actuating element and the mine are thus coupled in terms of movement via the connecting element, so that when the actuating element is actuated, the mine is displaced or adjusted axially, that is to say along or parallel to a central longitudinal axis of the shaft.
  • the actuating element is arranged in a rear section or end of the shaft so that it is operatively connected to a rear end of the mine and moves it towards a front end of the shaft for movement in the active position.
  • the active position here is to be understood as the position of the mine or of the actuating element when the pen is in use, that is to say is in the writing position or in a state of use, ie the mine is extended. In the rest position of the mine or the actuating element, the pen is in the non-use state, ie the mine is retracted.
  • the idea of the present invention thus consists in providing a mechanical pen in which the lead can be moved from its rest position into the active position reliably, repeatably and in a manner that is simple for a user.
  • a movement of the actuating element that takes place perpendicular to the longitudinal direction is converted into a movement of the mine in the longitudinal direction when it is actuated.
  • the connecting element has the advantage that the distance of the actuating element which it covers when moving from the rest position to the active position can be shorter than the length of movement of the mine in the longitudinal direction required to reach the active position of the mine.
  • the connecting element is rotatable in a central section on the shaft, a first end section of the connecting element is on the actuating element and a second end section of the connecting element is mounted directly or indirectly on the mine.
  • the connecting element is thus fixedly and rotatably attached to the shaft about an axis of rotation or rotation that runs both perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the shaft and perpendicular to the direction of movement of the actuating element, in other words about an axis of rotation that runs in the transverse direction.
  • a middle section of the connecting element thus forms a fulcrum or fixed point around which the connecting element or both the first and second end sections of the connecting element can be rotated, the position of this fixed point relative to the shaft not changing, i.e.
  • the first and second end sections of the connecting element are also stationary on the actuating element or attached to the mine, so that the relative position of the first end portion with respect to the actuating element and the relative position of the second end portion with respect to the mine also do not change when moving from the rest position to the active position and vice versa. If the actuating element is moved perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the shaft, a force is thus exerted on the first end section of the connecting element. As a result, the first end section of the connecting element is also moved perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the shaft, i.e.
  • the actuating element carried along by the actuating element, so that this causes a rotation of the connecting element around the fixed point and thus also a movement of the second end section and moves the lead from the rest position to the active position will.
  • the movement of the actuating element perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the shaft is converted by the connecting element into a movement of the mine in the longitudinal direction of the shaft.
  • the connecting element thus has the function of a lever.
  • the connecting element can be a single connecting element or a one-piece connecting element, which thus only comprises a connecting member which is rotatable in a central section on the shaft, with a first end section on the actuating element and with a second end section of the connecting element directly or indirectly on the Mine is stored.
  • the connecting element according to the invention comprises at least two connecting members, that is to say in particular a first connecting member and a second connecting member, which are each connected to one another in an articulated manner. In each case adjacent connecting links are connected to one another in their mutually facing end sections so that they can be pivoted about a pivot axis.
  • the pivot axes about which two connecting members, for example the first and second connecting members, are pivotably arranged with respect to one another, likewise run perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the shaft and also perpendicular to the direction of movement of the actuating element.
  • the pivot axes are translationally displaceable in the longitudinal direction and perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, wherein the movement takes place along a curved line following the rotation about the axis of rotation of the central section of one of the connecting links which is fixed to the shaft.
  • a first connecting member, which is connected to the actuating element, is fixed on the shaft in a stationary rotatable manner about the axis of rotation.
  • the first end portion of the connecting element arranged on the actuating element is thus formed by the first connecting member, the second end portion, which is fixed to the mine, is formed by the second or, depending on the embodiment, a third or further connecting member.
  • Several connecting links have the advantage that, with the movement distance of the actuating element remaining the same, a longer movement distance of the mine in the longitudinal direction can be achieved perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the shaft.
  • the actuating element In the rest position, the actuating element preferably protrudes at least partially from a first side face of the shaft and in the active position at least partially protrudes from a second side face of the shaft opposite the first. In the rest position, the actuating element ends flush with the second side surface of the shaft; in the active position, the actuation element ends flush with the first side surface of the shaft. As a result, a disruptive protrusion of the actuating element is largely avoided.
  • the respective protruding part of the actuating element can be reached for the axial adjustment of the mine, so that the actuating element can be moved from the active position into the rest position and vice versa by pressing the respective protruding portion.
  • the actuating element has a first longitudinal section extending in the longitudinal direction of the shaft and a second longitudinal section extending perpendicular to the longitudinal direction and at least partially arranged within the shaft, at least the first longitudinal section in the rest position from the first side surface of the shaft and the second longitudinal section in the active position with a free end at least partially from the second, the first opposite side surface of the shaft protrudes.
  • the first longitudinal section forms, for example, a retaining clip in order to be able to store the pen when it is not in use, for example in a pen compartment of a briefcase or in a breast pocket.
  • holding or clamping means for captive insertion of the pin can be formed on the free end of the first longitudinal section.
  • the first longitudinal section only protrudes from the side surface of the shaft when the lead is in the rest position, soiling, for example the breast pocket or briefcase, is reliably avoided.
  • the second longitudinal section is at least partially held or guided in a rear region of the shaft and interacts with an inner circumferential surface of the shaft, for example in the sense of a sliding pair.
  • the free end of the second longitudinal section has a smaller width than an adjoining central section of the second longitudinal section, the free end in the rest position and / or in the active position being at least partially arranged within a recess of the shaft .
  • the recess is formed in a section of the shaft that adjoins the second side surface. The second longitudinal section or its free end thus prevents, in particular, both during the movement of the actuating element perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the shaft and in the rest position and in the active position, a movement of the actuating element in the longitudinal direction of the shaft, since the latter forms a form fit acting in the longitudinal direction is held in the recess.
  • the actuating element preferably has at least one stop surface which, in the active position and / or rest position, has an inner circumferential surface of the shaft cooperates.
  • This stop surface is arranged, for example, at the free end of the longitudinal section and interacts with an inner circumferential surface delimiting the recess of the shaft in order to prevent the actuation element from moving in the longitudinal direction.
  • the middle section of the second longitudinal section adjoining the free end can form a stop surface which, in the active position, rests against an inner circumferential surface of the shaft.
  • Another stop surface is formed, for example, by a rear end face of the actuating element facing the rear end of the shaft, which rests on an inner circumferential surface of the rear end of the shaft and is pressed against this during the movement of the actuating element from the rest position into the active position, in order to achieve the completely convert the force resulting from the movement of the actuating element into a rotation of the connecting element. Furthermore, this keeps the mine in the active position and prevents the mine from moving independently back into the rest position.
  • the actuating element in particular the second longitudinal section of the actuating element, in an advantageous embodiment, has a recess in which the first end section of the connecting element is directly or indirectly supported.
  • the recess extends both perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the shaft and perpendicular to the direction of movement of the actuating element.
  • the connecting element comprises a plurality of connecting links
  • the first end section of the first connecting link is mounted in the recess.
  • the connecting element is fixed in the recess in such a way that movement in the longitudinal direction of the shaft is prevented so that the connecting element cannot slip out.
  • the recess can be designed, for example, in the form of a hole, so that the connecting element can be fixed within the recess using a pin or bolt.
  • the recess extends from a front end face of the actuating element, in particular from a front end face of the second longitudinal section of the actuating element, starting in the longitudinal direction of the shaft, at least partially into the actuating element, the first end section of the connecting element being movably supported in the recess.
  • the front end face is the end face of the actuating element facing the mine and the front end of the shaft; the recess thus extends perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the shaft and perpendicular to the direction of movement of the actuating element, i.e. in the transverse direction and in the direction of a rear end of the Shaft.
  • the connecting element and the actuating element can be mounted in a simple manner by, for example, a pin or bolt fixed to the connecting element being movably held in the recess.
  • the actuating element moves, the first end section of the connecting element is carried along by the latter and thus also moves perpendicular to the longitudinal direction.
  • the pen in particular has a locking and / or latching device with which the mine can be axially fixed in the active position and / or in the rest position so that it reliably remains in the active position and in the rest position within the shaft during the writing process.
  • the locking and / or latching device comprises locking and / or latching elements arranged on the connecting element, such as latching lugs, which in the active position and / or in the rest position, i.e. in a respective end position of the mine and the actuating element, in a recess of the Shank, for example, engage a correspondingly shaped groove.
  • the connecting element is rotated to such an extent that a force exerted on the mine by a restoring element which biases the lead in the axial or longitudinal direction in the active position causes the connecting element to rotate back prevented.
  • a locking and / or latching device is particularly suitable if the connecting element comprises only one connecting member.
  • the locking and / or latching device is formed by a joint connecting a first and a second connecting member, which joint connects the first and the second connecting member pivotably about a pivot axis.
  • the joint can be moved beyond a dead point for locking when the actuating element is moved from the rest position into the active position.
  • a joint connecting the two connecting members is moved beyond a plane formed by the axis of rotation and the bearing position of the connecting element or a second connecting element on the mine.
