Description

The invention relates to a device for sealing the filter press space between two filter press elements in the wedge zone of dewatering machines, especially double belt presses consisting of two rotating filter press belts, with at least two opposite sides of the filter press room between the filter press belts arranged elastic sealing strips which are attached to a support strip.

Such seals are used in twin-wire belt presses to limit the fibrous web, in particular pulp web and to prevent lateral leakage of the pulp, in particular pulp suspension in the region of the wedge zone. In the area of the wedge zone, the pressure on the suspension is continuously increased, so that a stable seal is required. Such sealing devices are for example from the DE 34 04 422 A1 known. The attachment is very complex and therefore in an exchange, which must be due to the wear from time to time, also very time consuming. Attempts have been made here by means of bolts with a bayonet connection to create a simplification, but then the terminal block and the support bar must be secured by welding in position. Other sealing devices include the EP 0 299 765 A2 known. Here, a plastic block is used, which must be very precisely adapted to the geometry of the wedge between the filter press belts (screen belts), which occur even at a low wear leaks. Furthermore, the shows DE 31 39 797 A1 a lateral edge seal of a filter system with a drum filter and a press belt. The seal is connected to the filter drum with a dovetail joint. With lateral load of the profile piece, there is a risk that this part gives way and the gap to the press belt is no longer tight.

The aim of the invention is therefore to provide a sealing device which is easy and quick to assemble and has a long life with complete sealing effect even when worn.

The invention is therefore characterized in that the sealing strips are connected to each associated support strip by a dovetail joint. The assembly and disassembly is then quite easy, with only a screw for securing is provided at the inlet (the largest distance between the two filter press belts). The different length expansion of sealing strip and support strip by the different materials is made possible by the fact that the sealing strip in the dovetail connection can freely expand in the direction of the outlet (closest spacing of the filter press belts).

An advantageous development of the invention is characterized in that the sealing strip consists of a base body and adjoining sealing lips and the sealing lips in the region of the base body have a smaller thickness. As a result, the wedge can be made closer together, resulting in thinner and better pressed pulp bands.

A favorable embodiment of the invention is characterized in that the base body has an upper and a lower longitudinal groove. By shifting the kink of the sealing lips in the area within the body, the kink can not be damaged. In addition, this can reduce the gap between the filter press belts.

  • Fig. 4 eine andere Variante der erfindungsgemäßen Dichtvorrichtung,

darstellt. The invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the drawings, in which:
  • Fig. 1a a wedge zone of a double belt machine
  • Fig. 1b a cross section through the wedge zone after Fig. 1a along the line II-II
  • Fig. 2 a sealing device according to the prior art,
  • Fig. 3 a variant of the sealing device according to the invention,
  • Fig. 4 another variant of the sealing device according to the invention,
  • Fig. 5 the installation situation of the sealing device after Fig. 4
represents.

Fig. 1 a shows a wedge zone 1 of a double belt machine also called twin wire press or twin wire press. Here a pulp suspension, in particular pulp suspension, is introduced in the area of the inlet rollers 2 between a top wire 3 (or upper filter press belt) and a bottom wire 4 (lower filter press belt) and dewatered by the pressure rising continuously in the wedge. As a result of this pressure increase, the suspension would emerge on the sides. Therefore, sealing devices 5 are used on both sides, which are also intended to limit the web width of the pulp web. In cross section in Fig. 1b It can be seen that the sealing device abuts both the upper wire 3 and the lower wire 4. The existing in the area 6 pulp suspension, which is formed into a web here increases the sealing effect of the upper sieve 3 and 4 Untersieb 4 sealing strip 7. The sealing devices 5 are adjustable transversely to the web running direction, so that different web widths can be adjusted.

Fig. 2 now shows a sealing device 5 according to the prior art. The sealing strip 7 made of elastic material (elastomer) is connected by screws 10 by means of a terminal block 9 with a support bar 8. Both the support strip 8, as well as the terminal block 9 are generally made of stainless steel. The fastening of the sealing strip 7 and terminal strip 9 to the support strip 8 is carried out by a number of screws 10 over the entire length of the sealing device 5. Alternatively, a number of bolts may be provided which function as a bayonet lock, in which case during assembly, the terminal block must be moved. It must then be fixed at their ends to the support bar 8 usually by spot welding. The wings 7 ', 7 "of the sealing strip 7 are pressed by the suspension against the upper sieve 4 and the lower sieve 4 and therefore seal well, the upper sieve 3 being supported by a mostly perforated wedge plate 11 while the lower sieve is supported by a wedge plate 12 The squeezed liquid then passes through the top wire 3 or bottom wire 4 and the adjacent wedge plate 11 or 12, which often have a plurality of holes.

Fig. 3 zeigt eine Variante der erfindungsgemäßen Dichtungsvorrichtung 5. Fig. 3 shows a variant of the sealing device according to the invention 5. The attachment of the sealing strip 7 on the support bar 8 takes place here via a dovetail connection 13. When mounting the sealing strip 7 is pushed onto the support strip 8 here. The previously required terminal block 9 ( Fig. 2 ) is no longer necessary. This design allows for quick and easy assembly and disassembly of the sealing strip 7. The sealing strip 7 must be secured only at the inlet end (largest distance of the filter press belts 3.4 near the guide rollers 2) with a screw. This position is always easily accessible and therefore there are no other parts to dismantle. The different length expansion of sealing strip 7, which consists of elastic plastic, such as Robadur, and the support bar 8 made of stainless steel is unhindered possible that the sealing strip 7 in the dovetail joint 13 can expand unhindered. The wings 7 ', 7 "of the sealing strip 7 can be compressed very far, but this is limited, so that always a gap between the filter press belts 3, 4 and the sealing strip 7 remains.

Fig. 4 shows the sealing strip 7 of a further variant of the invention. The sealing strip 7 is executed on its one side with the dovetail joint 13. On the other side, the wings 7 ', 7 "extend. Between the sealing strip body 14 and the wings 7', 7", grooves 15 extend over the entire length of the sealing strip 7.

Fig. 5 then shows the installation position of the sealing strip 7 according to Fig. 5 , It can be seen here again that no terminal strip is required by the stable dovetail connection 13. By this configuration is also possible that upper sieve 3 and Untersieb 4 merged to the height of the sealing strip body 14 and thus the gap can be reduced. This increases the web quality. Also, the kink of the wings 7 ', 7 "laid in the connection to the sealing strip body of the wires away in the sealing strip body 14 so that it can not be damaged.

The application is not limited by the examples. Thus, e.g. The most diverse materials are used for sealing strip and support strip.
