Definitions
- the invention relates to a packaging unit for one or more individually removable products, in particular tablets, wherein the packaging unit comprises a blister pack and a bag-like overpack, in which the blister pack is enclosed.
- Blister packs have become widely used in many applications because of their cost-effective manufacture, their hygienic and hermetic properties, and their ease of use, particularly for the packaging of pharmaceutical products such as tablets or dragees, or nutritional supplements.
- blister packs are provided for distribution with an overpack, which in addition to the conventional known cardboard boxes increasingly overpacks are used in bag form.
- pouch packaging offers manufacturing advantages, as it can be printed inline, for example, whereas carton packaging must be re-produced whenever the imprint is changed.
- the WO007030067 A1 a housing as an overpack for a blister pack, which allows the removal of a tablet from the blister pack only if the blister pack has been previously moved from a secure position to a picking position.
- the blister pack is held by an actuator in the backup position. Only after unlocking the actuator, it is possible to push the blister pack in the removal position.
- the housing is a reasonably complex and expensive product that is only suitable for a particular tablet and packaging size. As a disposable article, the over-housing would be very expensive. If the overpack is intended for multiple use, after removing the last tray, the user is responsible for inserting and securing a new, full blister pack in the overpack.
- DE 10 2009 042858 A1 discloses an overpack for blister packs wherein the overpack protects the blister pack against accidental removal by children.
- the overpack is formed like a box and consists of several, optionally elastically formed layers, wherein at least one layer openings are introduced.
- the blister pack is slidably disposed in the overpack and removal of medicaments from the blister pack is only possible when the blister openings are aligned with the apertures in position.
- US 5,150,793 discloses a device for preventing unintentional removal from a blister pack, wherein the blister pack is slidably disposed in a housing and can be moved for removal in the housing via corresponding openings.
- the housing may be constructed of plastic, cardboard or composite materials.
- the present invention has for its object to provide a simple, inexpensive and easy-to-manufacture child protection for blister packs that are packaged in bag-like packaging.
- a packaging unit of the type mentioned above in which the blister pack is movably arranged in the overpack and can be brought into at least one removal position, in which removal of at least one of the products is made possible, wherein the blister pack has at least one positioning element and the overpack or a blocking element arranged in or on the overpackage has at least one receiving element for the positioning element, and wherein the positioning element arranged on the receiving element defines the removal position.
- a packaging unit consists exclusively of disposable materials, with the security features can be easily and inexpensively incorporated into the overpack or the blister pack. Manufacturing can in most cases be done with the same machines that are already used to package the products in the blister pack and to package the blister pack in the overpack.
- At least one chamber bowl of the blister pack can form a positioning element. This allows the implementation of the inventive idea, without having to change the conventional form of blister packaging.
- the at least one chamber bowl or the several chamber bowls which form the positioning element can be free of products. This is advantageous, for example, when the chamber cup can be damaged or deformed during positioning in the receiving member or this deformation is required for fixing the chamber cup in the receiving member.
- At least one positioning element can be formed by an extension of the molded part of the blister pack.
- the extension of the molded part of the blister pack for example laterally beyond the area in which the product containing chamber cups of the blister pack are arranged, for example, allows the extension to give a shape that fits positively into a corresponding receiving organ.
- a "key lock" system can be realized, which allows accurate positioning of the blister pack in the removal position.
- the receiving organ can be protected with additional means against an inadmissible taking the removal position.
- At least one receiving member may be defined by a molding in the overpack. Such a shape is easy to manufacture and easy to use.
- This formation can be designed in an advantageous manner for receiving a Kammernapfs blister pack. As a result, it is easy for the user to recognize how the blister pack is to be arranged, and it is also easy to check whether the blister pack or its positioning element is correctly arranged in the receptacle.
- the molding can form a receiving bay in the edge region of the overpack in a further advantageous embodiment. This is particularly easy to produce, for example by the shape of the welding or adhesive zones on the edge region of the overpack.
- the receiving member can be activated and / or deactivated by a user intervention.
- the opening of a molding acting as a receiving member may initially be closed by a separating element which must be pierced by active force in the correct place first to allow positioning of the positioning member in the receiving member.
- an edge region of the overpack, in which the receiving member is located could be formed foldable, so that the opening of the receiving member must be released only by folding the edge region before the positioning is inserted into the receiving organ, or can be closed again by folding back , It can also, it may be necessary to first remove security elements such as stickers or portions of the overpack to activate the receiving organ.
- At least one receiving member may be defined by a weakening point in a first bag film and / or a second bag film of the overpack.
- a weakening point - such as a material thinning or perforation - can be very easily introduced into the film material, the weakening point can be introduced, for example in the bag film on the side of the chamber cups (which is referred to herein as the first bag film), so that the first bag film in the region of the point of weakness can be pierced, for example, with a provided as a positioning chamber cup or an extension of the molding of the blister pack.
- the point of weakness may also be introduced into the sheet material facing the back wall of the blister package (which will be referred to herein as the second bag film).
- a part of the bag film defined by the point of weakening can be pressed into a chamber bowl provided as a positioning element in order to fix the blister pack in the removal position.
- the weakening point may also be designed as an elastically or plastically extensible region or it may comprise materials or elements which are not part of the actual bag film.
- the weakening point can be arranged such that at least one chamber bowl of the blister pack breaks the weakened point when the blister pack is moved into the removal position. This allows a particularly simple handling, especially if the breaking is done automatically when the blister pack is brought into the removal position with sufficient force.
- breaking the weakening point may require moving the blister pack along the backplane of the blister pack.
- a part of the blister pack can be inserted into a receiving bay arranged in the edge region of the overpack, in which the weakening point (s) is (are) located. If the inner height of the receiving bay is too low to accommodate the chamber cups, the foil material of the overpack is pushed up in this area from the chamber cup on insertion, thereby breaking the weakening points.
- the chamber bowl or the chamber bowls can be fixed in the removal position.
- At least one product chamber of the blister pack with the product delivery side can be arranged in the removal position above a breakthrough point provided in the second bag film of the overpack.
- the breakthrough site allows the product contained in the product chamber, or the tablet contained therein, to be pressed and removed through the rear wall of the blister pack and through the puncture point of the second bag film.
- the break-through point can be formed, for example, as a round, slot-shaped or cross-slot-shaped weakening of the film material.
- Breakthrough sites and weakening points in the bag material can be introduced in a known manner by mechanical cutting or punching of the bag material (according to a method which is also referred to in the art as "Kisscut") or by means of a laser.
- the fracture behavior of the bag material may be further improved, for example by the use of appropriate fillers added to the material and known in the art.
- fillers with which the bag material can be filled or underfilled include, for example, talc, silica or chalk.
- a plurality of different removal positions may be provided in the overpack. This makes it possible, for example, to specify dosage regimes for the sequence of drug entry. The user can recognize on the basis of the already recognizably used receiving organs or positioning elements, which part of the dosing regime he has already taken (for example, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, etc.), whereby revenue errors are avoided or at least recognized immediately.
- a blocking element which has at least one receiving member for the positioning element, integrated into the overpack, arranged in this or connected thereto. This extends the selection of security measures according to the invention. Furthermore, the blocking element can ensure additional stability of the packaging.
- Fig. 1 to 3 show a first embodiment of the packaging unit 1 according to the invention in three views.
- the packaging unit 1 consists of a blister pack 3, which in turn is packed in an overpack 4.
- the blister pack 3 consists of a molded part 16, in which, as is known, a plurality of chamber cups 7 are introduced.
- three chamber cups 7 are shown, each defining a product chamber 12, in each of which a product 2 can be located.
- the molded part 7 is covered in a known manner by a rear wall 13, which generally consists of an aluminum, paper, plastic or composite foil, which is pierced upon removal of a product from the blister pack.
- the exemplary blister pack 3 six product chambers 12, but only in four of these product chambers are products 2 and the other two product chambers 12 are empty. As will be discussed in greater detail below, the two empty product chambers 12 serve as positioning elements 5.
- the products 2 are generally medicines, usually in tablet form, but other piece-like products could also be packaged with the packaging unit according to the invention, such as household detergents, such as cleaning sticks, Fertilizer tablets or pesticides, or any other products that are to be protected from access by children.
- household detergents such as cleaning sticks, Fertilizer tablets or pesticides, or any other products that are to be protected from access by children.
- the overpack 4 consists essentially of a first (upper) bag film 8 and a second (lower) bag film 9, which are joined together at their edge by a sealing region 17.
- first bag film 8 and second bag film 9 are for convenience of reference and description only, and may be the same or different films.
- the film is referred to as the first or upper bag film 8, which is located above the blister pack 3, that is on the side of the chamber cups 7, and accordingly, the film, which is below the blister pack 3, that is Side of the rear wall 13 is located, referred to as a second or lower bag film 9.
- the overpack 4 is considerably larger dimensions than would require the size of the blister pack 3. This allows the blister pack to move and rotate substantially freely horizontally within the confines of the overpack 4, the size preferably being such that "turning over" the blister pack in the overpack 4 to a position where the scraps 7 of the second, lower bag film 9 would be facing, is not possible.
- the second bag film 9 On the second bag film 9 (see Fig. 1 ) are arranged a plurality of breakthrough points 11, wherein the arrangement of the breakthrough points 11 of the arrangement of the product chambers 12 of the blister pack 3 corresponds, which are filled with a product 2. Only if a product chamber 12 is located just above a breakthrough point 11, the product 2 located in this product chamber 2 can be seen by the corresponding Kammernapf 7 is pressed in a known manner, so that the product 2 by the breaking up at this point rear wall 13 and the also breaking breakthrough site 11 can be pushed out and removed.
- the position in which the product chambers 12 containing the products 2 are aligned with the break-through points 11 is referred to herein as the "picking position".
- the blister pack 3 can move in the overpack 4, however, the product chambers are generally not aligned with the break-through points 11 or the blister pack 3 is not in its removal position. In another position, however, it is not possible to pass the product through the rear wall 13 and the to press second bag film 9, as this offers without breakdown point 11 too much resistance.
- the breakthrough sites 11 can be designed as weakenings or perforations and they can, as in Fig. 1 which in this case correspond to round shape of the product 2, but they could also have a different shape, or be slit-shaped, cross-shaped or arranged for example in a U-shape.
- the break-through points 11 can have any desired shape which allows the product 2 to be pushed through.
- the first bag film 8 has two weakening points 10 on.
- the weakening points can be carried out in a similar manner as the breakthrough points 11 in the second bag film 9, but they do not serve the removal of products 2, but they have a function as receiving means 6 for the positioning elements 5: From the user first the blister pack 3 in moves the removal position, then serving as positioning 5 empty chamber cups 7 are pressed by the respective weakening points 10, whereby they are broken so that they can act as a receiving member 6 for the positioning element 5.
- the weakening point 10 may also be formed elastically or plastically deformable, so that the first bag film 8 in the region of the weakening point 10 forms a formation when the positioning element 5 is pressed into the weakening point 10.
- a preformed formation may be provided into which the positioning element 5 is inserted.
- Fig. 5 shows a further embodiment according to the invention, in which the receiving member 6 is formed as a molding 14 in the edge region of the overpack 4.
- the formation 14 can be defined, for example, by the course of the inner edge of the sealing area 17.
- molding 14 has two juxtaposed receiving bays 15 which are separated by a positioning wedge 18 from each other.
- As a positioning of the molding of the blister pack 3 is extended at one end and there forms two extensions 19, which have a corresponding to the receiving bays 15 of the molding 14 shape.
- the formation 14 with the two receiving bays 15 is formed wider than the two extensions 19 of the blister pack 3, so that the exact positioning of the blister pack in the removal position, in particular by the Positionierkeil 18 which engages in the space between the two extensions 19. On the one hand, this makes it easier to find the removal position and at the same time ensures high child safety.
- FIG. 6 and 7 show a further advantageous embodiment, which is also based on a receiving member 6, which is formed as a formation 14 of the inner edge of the sealing area 17 between the first bag film 8 and the second bag film 9.
- the molding 14 has a substantially U-shape whose contour corresponds approximately to the shape of the edge at a narrow end of the blister pack 3.
- the blister pack has no extension, but has a conventional shape, wherein the outermost two chamber cups 7 (ie, the two chamber cups at the end of the blister pack 3) are empty and serve as positioning elements 5.
- the receiving bay 15 formed by the molding 14 has a height which is smaller than the height of the chamber cups 7 of the blister pack 3, so that the narrow end of the blister pack can not be easily inserted into the receiving bay 15. However, this is necessary in order to bring the blister pack into the removal position, which are defined by the break-through points 11 in the second bag film 9.
- the first bag film 8 has for this purpose above the receiving bay 15, two U-shaped weakening points 10 which are broken by serving as a positioning element 5 two empty Kammernäpfen 7 when the blister pack 3 is pushed with its end with sufficient force in the receiving bay. At the same time, the two positioning elements 5 are positioned and fixed by the U-shaped edges of the broken weakening point 10 in the removal position.
- the receiving organs so for example, the weakening points 10 in the embodiments of the Fig. 1 to 4 and 6 to 7 or the receiving bays 15 at the edge of the overpack 4 in the embodiments of Fig. 5 to 9 be protected against unauthorized use by additional means.

- the removal opening 26 is again arranged on the side of the second bag film 9, the removal opening 26 is again arranged.
- the edge of the recess 27 forms a receiving member 6, in which the acting as a positioning element 5 edge of the blister pack 13 can be positively received.
- the removal opening 26 of the embodiments of 10 and 11 can be additionally secured for example by a reusable closure label.
- the blocking element 24 may for example also be integrated into the first bag film 8.
- the second bag film 8 may have stretching areas, into which products 2 can be forced out of the blister pack 3, wherein the stretching areas deform elastically and / or plastically in order to receive the respective product. After pushing out the product 2 from the blister pack 3, this is still within the overpack 4 and can then be brought by shaking or moving to a removal opening 26.
- the overpack may be transparent or transparent in all embodiments, or have transparent or transparent locations that serve the orientation. Instructions on how to remove the products can be printed directly on the overpack, for example in the form of pictograms.

Description
The invention relates to a packaging unit for one or more individually removable products, in particular tablets, wherein the packaging unit comprises a blister pack and a bag-like overpack, in which the blister pack is enclosed.
Blister packs have become widely used in many applications because of their cost-effective manufacture, their hygienic and hermetic properties, and their ease of use, particularly for the packaging of pharmaceutical products such as tablets or dragees, or nutritional supplements.
However, the ease of use also allows small children to remove the tablets from the blister pack, which causes problems with child safety because children can confuse the medication with sweets. This problem is compounded by the fact that drugs are also increasingly being flavored to adults, to facilitate their ingestion and to improve their acceptance.
Most blister packs are provided for distribution with an overpack, which in addition to the conventional known cardboard boxes increasingly overpacks are used in bag form. Amongst other things, pouch packaging offers manufacturing advantages, as it can be printed inline, for example, whereas carton packaging must be re-produced whenever the imprint is changed.
Although this solution offers a high level of security, it has some disadvantages. The housing is a reasonably complex and expensive product that is only suitable for a particular tablet and packaging size. As a disposable article, the over-housing would be very expensive. If the overpack is intended for multiple use, after removing the last tray, the user is responsible for inserting and securing a new, full blister pack in the overpack.
It is to be expected that many consumers will not adhere to these safety precautions and will remove the tablets directly from the blister pack in the usual way.
The present invention has for its object to provide a simple, inexpensive and easy-to-manufacture child protection for blister packs that are packaged in bag-like packaging.
According to the invention, this objective is achieved by a packaging unit of the type mentioned above, in which the blister pack is movably arranged in the overpack and can be brought into at least one removal position, in which removal of at least one of the products is made possible, wherein the blister pack has at least one positioning element and the overpack or a blocking element arranged in or on the overpackage has at least one receiving element for the positioning element, and wherein the positioning element arranged on the receiving element defines the removal position. Such a packaging unit consists exclusively of disposable materials, with the security features can be easily and inexpensively incorporated into the overpack or the blister pack. Manufacturing can in most cases be done with the same machines that are already used to package the products in the blister pack and to package the blister pack in the overpack.
In a preferred embodiment, at least one chamber bowl of the blister pack can form a positioning element. This allows the implementation of the inventive idea, without having to change the conventional form of blister packaging.
In this case, in a further advantageous embodiment, the at least one chamber bowl or the several chamber bowls which form the positioning element can be free of products. This is advantageous, for example, when the chamber cup can be damaged or deformed during positioning in the receiving member or this deformation is required for fixing the chamber cup in the receiving member.
In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, at least one positioning element can be formed by an extension of the molded part of the blister pack. The extension of the molded part of the blister pack, for example laterally beyond the area in which the product containing chamber cups of the blister pack are arranged, for example, allows the extension to give a shape that fits positively into a corresponding receiving organ. In this case, a "key lock" system can be realized, which allows accurate positioning of the blister pack in the removal position. In addition, the receiving organ can be protected with additional means against an inadmissible taking the removal position.
In a further embodiment of the invention, at least one receiving member may be defined by a molding in the overpack. Such a shape is easy to manufacture and easy to use.
This formation can be designed in an advantageous manner for receiving a Kammernapfs blister pack. As a result, it is easy for the user to recognize how the blister pack is to be arranged, and it is also easy to check whether the blister pack or its positioning element is correctly arranged in the receptacle.
The molding can form a receiving bay in the edge region of the overpack in a further advantageous embodiment. This is particularly easy to produce, for example by the shape of the welding or adhesive zones on the edge region of the overpack.
In an advantageous manner, the receiving member can be activated and / or deactivated by a user intervention. For example, the opening of a molding acting as a receiving member may initially be closed by a separating element which must be pierced by active force in the correct place first to allow positioning of the positioning member in the receiving member. On the other hand, an edge region of the overpack, in which the receiving member is located, could be formed foldable, so that the opening of the receiving member must be released only by folding the edge region before the positioning is inserted into the receiving organ, or can be closed again by folding back , It can Also, it may be necessary to first remove security elements such as stickers or portions of the overpack to activate the receiving organ.
In a further advantageous embodiment, at least one receiving member may be defined by a weakening point in a first bag film and / or a second bag film of the overpack. A weakening point - such as a material thinning or perforation - can be very easily introduced into the film material, the weakening point can be introduced, for example in the bag film on the side of the chamber cups (which is referred to herein as the first bag film), so that the first bag film in the region of the point of weakness can be pierced, for example, with a provided as a positioning chamber cup or an extension of the molding of the blister pack. The point of weakness may also be introduced into the sheet material facing the back wall of the blister package (which will be referred to herein as the second bag film). In this case, for example, a part of the bag film defined by the point of weakening can be pressed into a chamber bowl provided as a positioning element in order to fix the blister pack in the removal position. The weakening point may also be designed as an elastically or plastically extensible region or it may comprise materials or elements which are not part of the actual bag film.
In a further advantageous embodiment, the weakening point can be arranged such that at least one chamber bowl of the blister pack breaks the weakened point when the blister pack is moved into the removal position. This allows a particularly simple handling, especially if the breaking is done automatically when the blister pack is brought into the removal position with sufficient force.
Advantageously, breaking the weakening point may require moving the blister pack along the backplane of the blister pack. In this case, for example, a part of the blister pack can be inserted into a receiving bay arranged in the edge region of the overpack, in which the weakening point (s) is (are) located. If the inner height of the receiving bay is too low to accommodate the chamber cups, the foil material of the overpack is pushed up in this area from the chamber cup on insertion, thereby breaking the weakening points. At the same time, the chamber bowl or the chamber bowls can be fixed in the removal position.
In a further advantageous embodiment, at least one product chamber of the blister pack with the product delivery side can be arranged in the removal position above a breakthrough point provided in the second bag film of the overpack. The breakthrough site allows the product contained in the product chamber, or the tablet contained therein, to be pressed and removed through the rear wall of the blister pack and through the puncture point of the second bag film. The break-through point can be formed, for example, as a round, slot-shaped or cross-slot-shaped weakening of the film material.
Breakthrough sites and weakening points in the bag material can be introduced in a known manner by mechanical cutting or punching of the bag material (according to a method which is also referred to in the art as "Kisscut") or by means of a laser. Optionally, the fracture behavior of the bag material may be further improved, for example by the use of appropriate fillers added to the material and known in the art. Such fillers with which the bag material can be filled or underfilled include, for example, talc, silica or chalk.
In a further advantageous embodiment, a plurality of different removal positions may be provided in the overpack.
In a further advantageous embodiment, a blocking element, which has at least one receiving member for the positioning element, integrated into the overpack, arranged in this or connected thereto. This extends the selection of security measures according to the invention. Furthermore, the blocking element can ensure additional stability of the packaging.

The
The

It is also possible to remove the

The
The blocking
