Definitions
- the invention relates to an automatically movable cleaning device with a device housing and at least one drive wheel, the cleaning device having at least one guide wheel in the area of a front housing part with respect to a usual orientation of the cleaning device during movement, the wheel circumferential surface of which for contact with an obstacle and / or a base station protrudes at least partially in the direction of movement over a front circumferential surface of the device housing, and wherein a rear housing part, based on the usual orientation of the cleaning device, has a beveled partial surface with an overhang.
- the invention also relates to a set comprising an automatically moveable cleaning device and a base station for an automatically moveable cleaning device.
- the invention also relates to a method for operating an automatically movable cleaning device, the cleaning device being shifted from an essentially horizontal operating position of the cleaning device to a parking position with an essentially vertical orientation, the cleaning device moving against an obstacle and / or a base station and is raised into the parking position by means of a driving force of the cleaning device acting against the obstacle and / or the base station and / or by means of a lifting device of the base station.
- Cleaning devices that can be moved automatically and methods for operating such cleaning devices are known in the prior art.
- the cleaning devices can be, for example, vacuum and / or mopping robots.
- Such cleaning devices can move automatically within an environment and perform cleaning tasks in the process.
- the cleaning devices have an obstacle detection device, which supplies measurement data for creating a map of the environment and prevents collisions with obstacles while the cleaning device is moving.
- the devices known in the prior art are not currently being used for a cleaning task, they either rest on a base station, for example to recharge an accumulator, or freely within the environment, which means that due to the size of the partial floor area covered by the device housing of the cleaning robot, a relative large parking space is required for the cleaning robot.
- a cleaning device in a parking position can have a disruptive effect, particularly in confined spaces. Therefore, for example, from the WO 2016/196622 A1 and JP 2007319447 A Base stations known for automatically moving cleaning devices into which the cleaning device can move while moving vertically, or in which the cleaning device is moved into a vertical parking position by means of a pivotable lifting device.
- the beveled partial peripheral surface have an angle greater than 75 ° and less than 90 ° with the direction of movement, particularly preferably an angle of 80 ° to 87 °.
- the rear housing part in relation to the usual orientation of the cleaning device during a cleaning operation has a beveled peripheral surface with an overhang.
- the device housing of the cleaning device thus has a beveled partial peripheral surface with a slope of over 90 ° during the use position, so that the partial peripheral surface of the device housing is not perpendicular to the plane of the floor surface.
- This inclined peripheral surface serves as a floor space for the cleaning device during the parking position, the cleaning device being inclined by the incline with the front housing part in the direction of the obstacle or the base station and being able to lean there over the at least one guide wheel.
- the cleaning device is therefore not exactly vertical (based on a horizontal floor surface), but inclined towards the obstacle or the base station, so that a particularly stable parking position is achieved.
- the guide wheel always maintains contact with the obstacle or the base station in this inclined parking position, so that the cleaning device can move particularly comfortably out of the parking position and move into the original position of use.
- the inclined partial peripheral surface has an angle greater than 75 ° and less than 90 ° with respect to the direction of movement.
- An angle of 80 ° to 87 ° is particularly preferred.
- Such an angle has proven to be particularly advantageous in practice in order to achieve a stable standing position of the cleaning device, which, for example, can also withstand contact by people and / or pets.
- the horizontal extension of the cleaning device is greatly reduced, so that the partial floor area covered by the cleaning device in the parking position is small.
- the cleaning device has a guide wheel which, when the cleaning device is in the normal position of use, can hit an obstacle and / or a base station.
- the guide wheel thus leads the device housing in the direction of movement. Due to a driving force of the drive wheel and / or the guide wheel and / or an additionally provided additional drive wheel, the cleaning device can drive up the obstacle or the base station and reach a parking position which has at least one component in the vertical direction. In the park position, contrary to the usual orientation, the cleaning device is no longer in an essentially horizontal position during a cleaning operation. Instead, at least the guide wheel is lifted off the floor surface and the cleaning device is tilted, so that the partial floor area covered by the cleaning device is reduced.
- the cleaning device can move up on the obstacle or the base station until an almost vertical alignment of the cleaning device is achieved, so that the device housing of the cleaning device is in a position of use is set up by up to 90 °.
- a housing circumferential surface of the device housing which was previously, ie during the cleaning operation, aligned essentially perpendicular to the floor surface, serves as a storage area for the cleaning device in the parking position.
- the parking position can be taken at a suitable location in the environment, preferably predetermined by a user of the cleaning device, but alternatively also at a base station set up for such a parking position, which at the same time also has, for example, a charger for a battery of the cleaning device and / or facilities, For example, to transfer suction material from the cleaning device to a collecting container on the base station.
- the guide wheel can be a purely passively running wheel of the cleaning device, the drive wheel and / or an additional additional drive wheel applying the driving force of the cleaning device, which is required for driving up the obstacle or the base station.
- the guide wheel then only serves to guide the movement of the cleaning device in the vertical direction so that the parking position can be reached.
- the guide wheel itself can also be driven and apply a driving force to the obstacle or the base station.
- a vertical parking position can reduce the space required by the cleaning device during a rest phase.
- the cleaning device that can be moved automatically for the purposes of the invention can in principle be any cleaning device that can perform a cleaning task, in particular a vacuum robot, a mopping robot or also a combined vacuum-mopping device. If necessary, precautions must be taken if the cleaning device is designed, for example, as a mopping device with a liquid tank and could lose liquid due to tilting.
- a rear housing part based on the usual orientation of the cleaning device, has a displaceable peripheral partial surface, which can be displaced counter to a spring restoring force when a weight of the cleaning device is applied.
- This configuration is equally suitable for beveled or non-beveled peripheral partial surfaces of the device housing, which serve as a floor space for the cleaning device in the parking position.
- the partial peripheral surface is designed in such a way that it can be displaced relative to the remaining partial peripheral surfaces of the device housing due to at least partial deformation, displacement or other displacement movements, so that the shape of the partial peripheral surface can be changed so that a particularly stable parking position of the cleaning device can be achieved can.
- the displacement of the partial circumferential area takes place due to the loading of the displaceable partial circumferential area with a portion of the weight of the cleaning device which acts on the partial circumferential surface and which increases due to the progressive tilting of the cleaning device. If the part of the weight of the cleaning device acting on the partial peripheral surface overcomes the spring restoring force, the partial peripheral surface can be displaced and the device housing can thus also be deformed in the area of the partial peripheral surface. It is possible that special support elements, planar surfaces or the like are formed on the circumferential surface of the device housing in order to ensure the stability of the parking position.
- the partial circumferential surface is designed to be resiliently deformable and can be converted from a relaxed, non-deformed shape into a tensioned, deformed shape, and vice versa.
- the partial circumferential surface can have an elastic material which can be deformed and returns to its original shape after the deformation has been eliminated.
- the resilient material may preferably be a metal which has a deformed shape and an undeformed one Can take shape.
- the deformation is achieved by applying a weight force when the cleaning device is tilted into the parking position.
- the partial peripheral surface can be designed as a bistable spring element, two stable states being characterized in particular by a convex and a concave shape of the partial peripheral surface.
- the partial peripheral surface of the device housing used for the parking position has a spring-like property. In the substantially horizontal position during a cleaning operation of the cleaning device, this partial peripheral surface preferably forms a shape-corresponding part of a convex device housing, i. H. part of a side surface of the device housing. When getting up into the parking position, the weight of the cleaning device increasingly acts on the partial surface area.
- the spring-like material property and shape of the partial peripheral surface then effects a deformation of the partial peripheral surface, for example in the manner of a click spring, whereupon it is concave.
- a spring element in particular a helical spring or a leaf spring, is assigned to the partial peripheral surface.
- the partial peripheral surface preferably represents a partial area that is separately movable with respect to the further partial surfaces of the device housing.
- the displaceable partial peripheral surface is opened during normal cleaning operation of the cleaning device due to the spring restoring force of the spring element held in the position unloaded by the weight force, in which the peripheral partial surface usually forms a closed and shape-corresponding shape with the further partial surfaces adjoining it.
- the partial circumferential surface is pressed by the greater weight of the cleaning device in the direction of the interior of the device housing in the direction of the interior of the device housing, which is so far back that the cleaning device in the parking position is essentially for example on the Edges of the non-displaceable sub-areas that have remained to the left and right of the peripheral sub-area rests.
- the spring element pushes the displaceable peripheral surface back into the starting position as soon as the spring restoring force overcomes the acting weight of the cleaning device, which is usually the case at the latest when the cleaning device is no longer on the peripheral surface.
- the device housing has a holding device in the area of the front housing part.
- the holding device can in particular be a magnetic element, a latching element, a hook, an eyelet and / or a projection.
- the holding device is used to secure the parking position at an obstacle or a base station.
- holding devices of this type are advantageous when the device housing of the cleaning device does not have a beveled peripheral partial surface, so that the cleaning device is essentially vertical on a horizontal floor surface.
- an additional holding force is exerted on the obstacle or the base station by means of the holding device.
- the cleaning device advantageously has one or more holding devices which correspond to holding devices of the obstacle and / or the base station.
- the cleaning device which is used in conjunction with a corresponding base station, have an eyelet in which a hook of the base station engages, or vice versa.
- Corresponding magnetic elements can also be provided, for example either the cleaning device having a magnet and the base station having a magnetizable partial area, or vice versa.
- the cleaning device can also have one or more projections which can be anchored in a surface structure of an obstacle and / or a base station in a particularly simple manner. Latching elements can also be provided on the cleaning device, which enable a particularly secure hold on an obstacle or a base station, but possibly require a device to release the latching element from the latching again.
- the invention also proposes a set of an automatically moveable cleaning device, which has a device housing and at least one drive wheel, and a base station with a connection area for connection to the cleaning device, the connection area being a connection element for connection to a corresponding holding device of the cleaning device wherein the base station has a lifting device displacing the connecting element, which is set up to displace the connecting element and the holding device of the cleaning device connected to it starting from a lower position in relation to a usual vertical orientation of the base station to an upper position, and vice versa
- Lifting device has a rail guide, with which the connecting element is in operative connection so that the connecting element can be displaced along the rail guide.
- the advantages of the proposed set result from a combination of the cleaning device according to the invention with a base station.
- the base station is designed with the proposed lifting device so that the Parking position of the cleaning device can be achieved by pulling up the cleaning device by means of an external drive.
- the cleaning device can, for example, be hooked into a connecting element of the lifting device, or otherwise connected, and then pulled up by a vertical displacement of the connecting element of the lifting device until the parking position is reached.
- the lifting device can, for example, have a rail system with a linear motor or the like.
- the connecting element of the lifting device can also be designed in different ways, for example have a latching element, a hook, an eye, a projection or the like.
- the base station can also carry out normal service activities on the cleaning device, for example charging an accumulator using a power supply unit, blowing out a suction material container of the cleaning device using a blower, vacuuming or the like.
- the invention also proposes a method for operating an automatically movable cleaning device, in which the cleaning device is shifted from an essentially horizontal operating position of the cleaning device into a parking position with an essentially vertical orientation, the cleaning device against an obstacle and / or a base station drives and is raised into the parking position by means of a drive force of the cleaning device acting against the obstacle and / or the base station and / or by means of a lifting device of the base station, and the cleaning device in the parking position with a sloping peripheral surface of a rear relative to a usual orientation of the cleaning device Housing part stands on a floor surface, so that the cleaning device with a Angle greater than 75 ° and less than 90 °, particularly preferably an angle of 80 ° to 87 °, is tilted against the floor surface.
- the transfer of the cleaning device from the essentially horizontal position of use to the parking position can thus take place either by means of the cleaning device's own drive force or by means of an external drive.
- the parking position can be reached, for example, by pulling the cleaning device up into the parking position by means of a lifting device of a base station.
- Figure 1 shows a cleaning device 1, which is designed here as a vacuum robot.
- the cleaning device 1 has a device housing 2, the underside of which is oriented essentially parallel to a surface to be cleaned during a use position, ie is also oriented horizontally when the cleaning device 1 is arranged horizontally.
- the device housing 2 has a circumferential housing surface 12 which includes all side surfaces, including a front and rear side of the cleaning device 1, based on a normal direction of movement of the cleaning device 1 during a cleaning operation.
- a partial peripheral surface 13 of a rear housing part 6 has an orientation that is inclined relative to the other partial surfaces of the peripheral housing surface 12, so that the device housing 2 has an overhang in this area, which is characterized in that a The top of the device housing 2 protrudes beyond an underside of the device housing 2.
- ⁇ 85 ° between the underside of the device housing 2 and the inclined peripheral surface 13.
- the inclined peripheral partial surface 13 thus also has an angle ⁇ of approximately 85 ° to a floor surface.
- the cleaning device 1 has two motor-driven drive wheels 3 (only one of the drive wheels 3 is visible in the selected illustration), as well as a cleaning element 4, which is designed here as a bristle roller and is located below the device housing 2.
- the cleaning device 1 has two guide wheels 7 which are arranged in the area of a front housing part 5 of the cleaning device 1. Each guide wheel 7 has at least a part of its wheel circumferential surface 8 beyond the circumferential housing surface 12 of the device housing 2 and thus leads the remaining subregions of the cleaning device 1 during a normal forward movement of the cleaning device 1.
- two additional drive wheels 9 are arranged, of which only one can also be seen in the figures.
- the additional drive wheels 9 are also driven by a motor.
- the cleaning device 1 has an obstacle detection device 19, which is designed to detect obstacles 10 within the vicinity of the cleaning device 1.
- the obstacle detection device 19 has a detection area within which existing obstacles 10 can be detected.
- the obstacle detection device 19 is here, for example, a triangulation measuring device which can measure distances to obstacles 10 within the environment.
- the obstacle detection device 19 specifically has a laser diode, the emitted light beam of which is guided out of the device housing 2 of the cleaning device 1 via a deflection device and can be rotated about an axis of rotation that is perpendicular in the use position of the cleaning device 1, in particular with a measuring angle of 360 °. This is an all-round distance measurement around the cleaning device 1 possible.
- the surroundings can be measured in a preferably horizontal plane, ie in a plane essentially parallel to the floor surface.
- the measurement data recorded by the obstacle detection device 19 are used to create a map of the surroundings.
- odometry data from the drive wheels 3 and / or the additional drive wheels 9 can also be used to create the map, which data are used to verify the data measured by means of the obstacle detection device 19.
- the obstacle detection device 19 fulfills two tasks at the same time, namely on the one hand the scanning of the surroundings of the cleaning device 1 in order to set up the map, and on the other hand the detection of obstacles 10 in the sense of collision avoidance.
- the cleaning device 1 moves on within the environment and performs a cleaning task, here for example sucking up suction material from the floor surface and cleaning the floor surface using the cleaning element 4, which is designed as a bristle roller the cleaning device 1 is out of operation for a long time, it is stowed in a parking position in order to wait for the next job.
- a cleaning task here for example sucking up suction material from the floor surface and cleaning the floor surface using the cleaning element 4, which is designed as a bristle roller the cleaning device 1 is out of operation for a long time, it is stowed in a parking position in order to wait for the next job.
- Figure 2 shows such a parking position of the cleaning device 1, in which the cleaning device 1 is placed on its rear housing part 6 and, due to the inclined peripheral surface 13 formed there, is additionally leaned against an obstacle 10, for example a wall.
- This parking position has an optimal stability, so that the cleaning device 1 also with For example, if it is touched by people and / or animals in the vicinity, it does not fall over. Due to the beveled peripheral partial surface 13 on the rear housing part 6, the cleaning device 1 is not vertical to the floor surface, but rather tilted towards the obstacle 10.
- a base station 11 can also be used to place the cleaning device 1 in the parking position.
- the cleaning device 1 is moved towards the obstacle 10 (or the base station 11), with the front housing part 5 of the cleaning device 1 pointing in the direction of the obstacle 10. It is advantageous if the front housing part 5 is aligned essentially parallel to the surface of the obstacle 10, so that the largest possible contact surface can arise between the cleaning device 1 and the obstacle 10 when the cleaning device 1 is placed against the obstacle 10. With continued movement of the cleaning device 1 towards the obstacle 10, the guide wheels 7, which are arranged on the front housing part 5, come into contact with the obstacle 10.
- the cleaning device 1 Roll up the obstacle 10 by means of the guide wheels 7 without any substantial friction of the device housing 2 on the obstacle 10 occurring.
- the cleaning device 1 moves up on the obstacle 10 and tilts noticeably until the inclined peripheral partial surface 13 rests completely on the floor surface.
- the cleaning device 1 leans with the guide wheels 7 on the obstacle 10, so that a particularly stable position is reached.
- the cleaning device 1 takes up a significantly smaller area of the floor than in the use position due to the essentially vertical arrangement of here approx. 85 ° to the floor surface, so that the cleaning device 1 is stowed in a particularly space-saving manner.
- the drive wheels 3 and the additional drive wheels 9 are rotated in the opposite direction to the previous start-up, so that the cleaning device 1 rolls down the obstacle 10 again, the inclined peripheral surface 13 is raised again from the floor surface and the cleaning device 1 is back in the essentially horizontal position of use tilts.
- the Figures 3 and 4 show a second embodiment of the invention in which the cleaning device 1 has a partial peripheral surface 13 on the rear housing part 6 of the device housing 2, which is a spring element 14.
- the spring element 14 is designed in the manner of a bistable spring element 14, which can assume two stable states, namely on the one hand the one in Figure 3 shown state in which the peripheral partial surface 13 is convex, and on the other hand the in Figure 4 shown state in which the peripheral surface 13 is concave shaped.
- the partial peripheral surface 13 designed as a spring element 14 fits into the rest of the shape of the device housing 2 in a shape-corresponding manner.
- the cleaning device 1 When the cleaning device 1 is moved into the park position based on this, the cleaning device 1 again travels up the obstacle 10 by means of the guide wheels 7 and with the help of the driving force of its drive wheels 3 and additional drive wheels 9, whereby the weight of the cleaning device 1 is visibly applied to the partial peripheral surface 13 relocated. As soon as the weight force acting on the partial peripheral surface 13 exceeds the restoring force of the spring element 14, the spring element 14 is pressed from the convex shape into the concave shape, so that the in Figure 4 The shape of the peripheral surface 13 shown results.
- the partial peripheral surface 13 is concave so that essentially two support elements arise at the transition areas between the partial peripheral surface 13 and the other parts of the adjacent device housing 2, which stabilize the cleaning device 1 in the parking position shown.
- the cleaning device 1 is supported here, for example, at least from one side by the obstacle 10, against which the drive wheels 3, the additional drive wheels 9, the cleaning element 4 and / or the guide wheels 7 can rest.
- the formation of the peripheral partial surface 13 as a spring element 14 can also be supplemented by a bevel of the peripheral partial surface 13, so that an inclined parking position, as exemplified in FIG Figure 2 shown, results.
- FIGS. 5 and 6 show a third embodiment of a cleaning device 1 according to the invention, in which the peripheral partial surface 13 of the rear housing part 6 is assigned a separate spring element 14.
- the spring element 14 is here a helical spring, the restoring force of which acts against the peripheral partial surface 13, which can be displaced relative to the other partial areas of the device housing 2.
- the partial peripheral surface 13 is embedded in a shape-corresponding manner in the device housing 2 of the rear housing part 6 when the spring element 14 is in a relaxed state.
- Figure 7 shows a fourth embodiment of a cleaning device 1 according to the invention.
- the cleaning device 1 has a holding device 15 in the form of a magnet integrated into a guide wheel 7, which is in operative connection with a magnetic configuration of at least a partial area of a base station 11.
- the magnetic sub-area of the base station 11 can be, for example, a sub-area comprising iron and / or nickel. Due to the holding force acting on the cleaning device 1 by the holding device 15, a greater driving force of the drive wheels 3 or the additional drive wheels 9 has to be applied in order to return the cleaning device 1 from the illustrated parking position to a substantially horizontal use position.
- the holding device 15 has an electromagnet which can be switched on and off to transfer the cleaning device 1 from the position of use to the parking position, or vice versa.
- latching elements, hooks, eyes, projections and the like come into consideration as holding devices 15.
- the holding device 15 is preferably arranged on the front housing part 5 of the device housing 2, so that the cleaning device 1 is held in the parking position at a highest point of the cleaning device 1. This ensures increased stability in the parking position.
- the Figures 8 and 9 finally show an exemplary, fifth embodiment of a cleaning device 1 which, in combination with a base station 11, forms a set.
- the base station 11 has a connection area 16 to which the cleaning device 1 can be coupled.
- the connection area 16 has a connection element 17, which is designed here as a hook.
- the connecting element 17 is used to connect to a corresponding holding device 15 of the cleaning device 1, which is designed here as an eyelet.
- the connecting element 17 of the base station 11 is by means of a lifting device 18 from an in Figure 8 lower position shown in Figure 9 Upper position shown can be moved.
- the connecting element 17 is in operative connection with a rail guide of the lifting device 18.
- the connecting element 17 can be displaced along the rail guide by a motor.
- the cleaning device 1 approaches the connecting area 16 of the base station 11 in such a way that the holding device 15 of the cleaning device 1 comes into contact with the connecting element 17 of the lifting device 18.
- a user of the cleaning device 1 can manually control an operation of the lifting device 18, for example.
- the operation of the lifting device 18 can be initiated automatically by contacting the cleaning device 1 and the connection area 16 of the base station 11, in particular the holding device 15 and the connection element 17. Due to the vertical displacement of the connecting element 17 of the lifting device 18, the cleaning device 1 is pulled up at the base station 11, whereby this is in the in Figure 9 Relocated parking position shown.
- the parking position of the cleaning device 1 remains secured by the connection between the holding device 15 and the connecting element 17.
- a return of the cleaning device 1 to the in Figure 8 The position of use shown takes place by operating the lifting device 18 in the opposite direction, so that the cleaning device 1 rolls down again on the base station 11.
