Description

The invention is concerned with a weapon, in particular with a small-caliber weapon, which comprises several weapon barrels which are combined to form a tube bundle. With the tube bundle, a possibility is created to be able to change the tube on site, regardless of the shot. The change not only minimizes the load on the individual barrel, but also increases the duration of the weapon. In addition, functional reliability of the weapon in use is better guaranteed. In particular, the weapon can be transferred to a safety position during transport or when not in use, in which no weapon barrel comes to rest in front of the lock.

In the case of machine guns or machine guns, the barrel of the weapon usually heats up after prolonged use, also due to the high rate of fire and the high number of shots. If a certain limit temperature or number of shots is reached or exceeded, this causes wear on the gun barrel, among other things. The gun barrel must be changed.

Jeder Lauf gibt pro Umdrehung einen Schuss ab.Barrel guns are known to reduce wear on the individual tubes. So-called barrel bundle weapons are also known as Gatling. In Gatlings, several barrels are concentrated around an axis in such a way that they rotate as a bundle. Each barrel has its own bolt and its own ignition system, for example its own firing pin. The locks are unlocked, opened and locked again during one full rotation of the barrel set. When opening and locking, the reloading function takes place, whereby a cartridge is inserted into the open breech of a barrel. The barrel is turned further, the cartridge is inserted into the chamber and ignited. With further rotation, the closure is then withdrawn again, with the empty cartridge case being pulled out and is ejected. This process runs continuously in all runs. Each barrel fires one shot per revolution.

A multi-barrel weapon and an associated belt system are disclosed by the DE 10 2010 007 876 A1 . The multi-barrel weapon here comprises six barrels, which are rotatably mounted around an axis of rotation in the form of a barrel bundle on the front weapon part. The drive is electric. Functionally connected to the barrels is a locking part which has several firing pins in the number of barrels that are aligned with the barrels. Also the WO 2011/046653 A2 and the U.S. 3,698,283 A reveal a multi-barrel weapon. The barrel change also takes place here depending on the shot.

A multi-barreled automatic weapon comes with the DE 2 111 060 A1 described, which has several gun barrels rotatably mounted about a common axis, constructed similarly to Gatlings. The advantage of this type of weapon is that the shot load for the individual barrel is minimized, especially during continuous fire, and is distributed across all barrel. The advantage of DE 2 111 060 A1 is that this weapon can also be used to fire caseless ammunition.

Taking up this idea, the present invention proposes a type of tube bundle with several weapon barrels, preferably three, for a particularly small-caliber weapon. For example, after a longer shot load on one of the gun barrels, another gun barrel is brought in front of the breech via a barrel changing device that works functionally with a control curve of the barrel bundle, regardless of the shot itself. This allows the loaded and heated gun barrel to be replaced by another. This is done by simply turning the gun barrel within a special holder on the gun or a gun housing for the gun barrel.

A handgun with a kind of barrel bundle reveals the U.S. 4,494,332 A . The weapon has several different cartridge chambers in one housing. The housing can be separated from the weapon in order to bring one of the cartridge chambers in front of the breech. Weapon barrels can be screwed onto the cartridge chambers on the front.

Guide curves for drum weapons are known to those skilled in the art. So reveals the DE 10 2008 018 892 B3 a drum weapon comprising a weapon barrel and a drum with a plurality of cartridge chambers located therein. The cartridges are gradually fed to the gun barrel via the drum. The function control for feeding ammunition over the drum is circumferentially as a drum circuit in the form of a guide curve involved. The drum itself is rotated using a slide switch, which is made up of several parts and is guided by a control cam on the weapon side.

A drum circuit with a guide curve is also disclosed DE 10 2008 015 893 B4 . This guide curve is characterized by the fact that it is designed as a subdivided guide curve is. This allows the length of the drum to be reduced. A drum and ammunition drive with a control body arranged around a weapon barrel is disclosed in US Pat DE 10 2008 063 768 B4 . An external drive is functionally connected to the control cam. A driver engages in the control cam through which the drum rotates when the driver is moved forward within the control cam in the firing direction.

The invention is a weapon with the features of claim 1.

The tube change or the adjustment of the individual tube according to the invention itself can be carried out by an operator or automatically. With an automatic change, the number of shots can be taken into account, from which the load on the current weapon barrel can be derived. If a specifiable shot load is determined, e.g. using a shot counter ( EP 2 518 430 A2 ), the barrel can be turned. Alternatives are conceivable, such as temperature sensors etc. which are attached to the weapon barrel and trigger a signal when a predetermined temperature on the weapon barrel is exceeded. The firing operation of the weapon can then be interrupted and the barrel can be changed.

For this task, the tube bundle is not only stored in a special bearing, but is also held in this so that it can rotate. This storage is characterized by a front fixed bezel and a rear fixed bezel, each of which has a foldable, removable or swiveling upper part. Sliding rollers are integrated in these steady rests, which support the rotation of the tube bundle. This construction allows, unlike the solution in the US 7,448,306 B2 , a simple change of the weapon barrels in their entirety as a barrel bundle. the US 7,448,306 B2 discloses a mount for a grenade launcher comprising screwable brackets.

The gun barrels are for their part preferably integrated in a common holder which, similar to a drum, has a control body on the circumferential side in a partial area. In a preferred embodiment, the weapon barrels are firmly inserted and caulked in the holder or the tube bundle, so that they can also be exchanged more easily individually.

The front section of the weapon barrel support / holder is provided with a larger inside diameter than the weapon barrel (s) to be stored. In this section, for each weapon barrel, a bearing part enclosing the weapon barrel in the area of the weapon barrel mounting is integrated with a slot in the front area of the bearing part. This construction achieves a certain level of resilience, so that the expansion of the weapon barrel caused by the increase in temperature of the weapon barrel is better carried out by the bearing part can. The pipe support allows for length and diameter adjustment. Further details are described in a parallel application by the applicant, to which reference is hereby made.

The present structure of the holder of the tube bundle also allows the inclusion of only one or two weapon barrels with the same basic geometry, which can be carried by the holder and rotated in the storage. In this way, different customer requests, in particular with regard to the total weight of the weapon, can be individually addressed, and the weapon can be varied depending on the customer.

Another advantage of the above-mentioned tube bundle weapon is a safe transport, since the weapon barrels can be adjusted in their entirety for the transport so that none of the weapon barrels is in front of the lock or is in alignment with it.

The tube bundle 1 comprises a front, muzzle-side tube holder 5 and a rear, breech-side tube holder 6 located below the two other weapon barrels 3, 4 located next to one another. This weapon barrel 2 is aligned with this one breech 50 and only interacts with the breech 50 in this position.

In a sub-area 7, the pipe collars! 1 has a control body 8 with a control cam 9, which in turn is integrated in the control body 8 on the circumferential side. The tube bundle 1 as a whole can be adjusted via this control cam 9 independently of the shot of the weapon 100, and a tube change can thus be carried out. The circumferentially integrated in the control body 8 Control curve 10 or its course, such as rise etc., is in turn matched to the number of weapon barrels that can be inserted into the tube bundle 1, ie, to the maximum number of weapon barrels that can be integrated into the tube bundle 1. In the present embodiment there are three weapon barrels 2, 3, 4, each of which must be rotated through an angle of 120 °.

Fig. 1a shows the tube bundle 1 'with only one weapon barrel 2. A tube bundle with two weapon barrels 2, 3, (4) is also conceivable. The control curve 9 can then also show the same course for this tube bundle as in the case of three weapon barrels 2, 3, 4, since the adjustment or rotation of the tube bundle 1 is independent of the shot.

A storage 20 of the tube bundle 1 (1 ') generally shows Fig. 1 which is then in the weapon 100 Fig. 3 is involved. Both representations show the safe transport position of the tube bundle 1. Neither is aligned with the closure 50.

According to the invention, the bearing points are formed by two stationary steadies 21, 22 which are spaced apart from one another. The distance is preferably obtained from the length of the control body 8. In the preferred embodiment, the steady rests 21, 22 each have a preferably removable upper part 21.1, 22.1 in the form of a quick-release fastener. In addition, sliding rollers are preferably incorporated in the steady rests 21, 22 (not shown in more detail).

The tube change is preferably carried out electrically via an actuator 10 ( Fig. 2 ), for example via a motor. This actuates a bolt 11 which realizes the rotation of the tube bundle 1. The weapon barrels 2 - 4 then also rotate with the control body 8, so that another weapon barrel can be brought in front of the breech 5. Alternatives to changing tubes are known to those skilled in the art.

Sheets 13 can be provided between the weapon barrels 2 - 4, which serve to cool the weapon barrels 2 - 4 ( Fig. 3 ). In this way, the gun barrels 2-4 can be thermally separated from one another. A variant supporting the cooling is shown with the integration of a tube 51 having openings, which also contributes to the stabilization of the tube bundle 1, 1 '.
