Claims (15)

  1. Garage door drive (1) which has a garage door drive component (4) which is designed and intended for being fitted above head height, in particular for fastening to a garage ceiling, and which has at least one electrical connection socket (10) for the connection of external electrical devices, characterized in that the connection socket (10) is connected to the garage door drive component (4) by means of a connection cable (11), and in that the connection socket (10) has a cushioning (12) on its outer side.
  2. Garage door drive (1) according to Claim 1, characterized in that the garage door drive component (4) is a drive housing (5).
  3. Garage door drive (1) according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the cushioning (12) at least partially surrounds the connection cable (11) too.
  4. Garage door drive (1) according to one of Claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the cushioning (12) has a flexible and/or reversibly compressible foam.
  5. Garage door drive (1) according to one of Claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the cushioning (12) encircles a plug socket (13), or in that the cushioning (12) encircles a plug socket (13) composed of a hard material.
  6. Garage door drive (1) according to one of Claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the cushioning (12) is formed in one piece, or in that the cushioning (12) is formed from multiple pieces.
  7. Garage door drive (1) according to one of Claims 1 to 6, characterized in that
    a. the connection socket (10) has an insertion opening for introducing a plug along an insertion direction (14), or in that
    b. the connection socket (10) has an insertion opening for introducing a plug along an insertion direction (14), wherein the insertion opening is free of the cushioning (12), or in that
    c. the connection socket (10) has an insertion opening for introducing a plug along an insertion direction (14), wherein the cushioning (12) or at least a portion of the cushioning (12) can be removed, in particular without tools and/or without destruction, for exposing the insertion opening.
  8. Garage door drive (1) according to Claim 7, characterized in that the cushioning (12) or a portion of the cushioning (12) protrudes laterally beyond the insertion opening.
  9. Garage door drive (1) according to one of Claims 1 to 8, characterized in that
    a. the connection cable (11) is of flexible design, and/or in that
    b. the connection cable (11) is a spiral cable at least in parts.
  10. Garage door drive (1) according to one of Claims 1 to 9, characterized in that the garage door drive component (4) contains a cable drum, or in that a cable drum is arranged on the garage door drive component (4), at least a portion of the connection cable (11) being wound onto the said cable drum or at least a portion of the connection cable (11) being able to be wound onto the said cable drum.
  11. Garage door drive (1) according to one of Claims 1 to 10, characterized in that the cushioning (12) has a non-abrasive surface on its outer side.
  12. Garage door drive (1) according to one of Claims 1 to 11, characterized in that the connection socket (10) hangs down freely from the connection cable (11) when the garage door drive component (4) is fastened to a garage ceiling.
  13. Garage door drive (1) according to one of Claims 1 to 12, characterized by an electric drive motor which is designed to be connected to a power supply system, wherein the connection socket (10) is connected electrically in parallel to the electric drive motor.
  14. Garage door drive (1) according to one of Claims 1 to 13, characterized in that the connection socket is arranged at one end of the connection cable, while the other end of the connection cable is provided with a plug connection element which is inserted into a mating plug connection element of the garage door drive component.
  15. Garage door system which contains a garage door and a garage door drive (1) according to one of Claims 1 to 14 for opening and closing the garage door (2).
