Description

The present invention relates to activities and water sports such as canoeing, kayaking or rafting, for which we use natural or artificial water streams that allow the training of practitioners and the course of competitions.

Water sports, such as canoeing, kayaking or rafting, can be traditionally practiced in natural rivers that may have been developed to define specific courses in the river's natural channel. This requires little development, but the location is necessarily determined by the geographical location of the river.

Alternatively, artificial rivers were created by diverting a portion of the flow of a river into an artificial channel, or obtained by pumping water into a reserve. For example, whitewater stadiums have been created in Olympic venues. In this case, the river beds are made of poured concrete on earthworks of appropriate shape, and this results in a cost of realization and very high installation. The subsequent use of these whitewater stages is infrequent, so the very high expenditure is generally considered excessive.

Moreover, it has already been described in the document EP 0 569 499 B1 a method and a device for arranging an aquatic course in whitewater, consisting in providing, in the bed of the river, holes opening onto the upper surface of the bed, and placing in the bed of the river elements of obstacles each having an obstacle element body and a fixation rod which penetrates into one of the holes.

The document US 2002/142851 A1 discovers a water slide, including a constant pipe able to guide a flow of water between an upper entrance and a lower basin, the slide is formed of several elements, and the water slide provides one or more effects to slide.

But so far, with artificial rivers or known stages of water, infrastructure can not be moved later, and its cost of implementation is very high.

The problem proposed by the present invention is to devise means making it possible to very substantially reduce the cost of producing and installing a river of white water, and at the same time allow the subsequent dismantling of the river of white water, its transport to another site, and its assembly for later use in that other site. The invention also aims to allow easy modification of the shape of the river bed and obstacles.

Pour atteindre ces buts ainsi que d'autres, l'invention propose une rivière d'eau vive, comprenant un lit de rivière apte à guider un flux d'eau entre une entrée supérieure de lit et une sortie inférieure de lit, et comprenant des moyens d'alimentation en eau pour introduire le flux d'eau à l'entrée supérieure de lit ;
selon l'invention :

To achieve these and other goals, the invention provides a river of white water, comprising a river bed adapted to guide a flow of water between an upper bed inlet and a lower bed outlet, and comprising means for supplying water to introduce the flow of water to the upper bed entrance;
according to the invention:
  • the river bed is formed of a succession of unitary bed modules, adjacent to each other, and assembled according to respective contact faces,
  • the single bed modules are carried on a lower face by a modular lattice support structure.

Thanks to the modular structure of the river bed and the supporting structure, it becomes possible to build the river of white water from prefabricated bed unit modules, whose production cost is reduced, to transport unitary bed modules. and the elements of the carrier structure from the production site to the site of use, and to assemble the unitary bed modules and the low cost carrier structure at the site of use.

It also becomes possible to dismantle the river of running water after its use at the site of use, to transport the unitary bed modules and the elements of the carrier structure from the site of use to a subsequent site, and to go up the river of white water on the site later for another use.

The unitary bed modules may advantageously be molded elements based on a plastic material, for example a plastic material such as polyethylene or polyester.

In fact, the plastic may, if necessary, be loaded with glass fibers or other elements to increase the mechanical strength.

The unitary bed units can be formed with multiple elements or monobloc elements. If they are formed with multiple elements, they can be formed, for example, into three pieces or two pieces. If they are formed in three parts, they comprise, for example, a lower branch limited by two opposite transverse contact faces and two opposite longitudinal contact faces, further comprising two lateral branches limited by two opposite transverse contact faces, comprising in in addition to a longitudinal contact zone bordering its surfaces and opposite one of the longitudinal contact faces of the lower branch. In another embodiment of the invention, the lower leg has only one longitudinal contact face and a contact zone on the edge of its surface and is opposed to a longitudinal contact face of the two lateral branches, the lateral branches are limited in size. in addition by two opposite transverse contact faces. In another embodiment of the invention, the lower branch has two opposite longitudinal contact zones on the edge of its surface and they are opposed to the two longitudinal contact faces of the two lateral branches, the lateral branches are further limited by two faces. opposite transverse contacts. Advantageously, it can further be provided that:
  • the unitary bed modules have blind holes opening on their upper face guiding the flow of water,
  • obstacle elements each comprise an obstacle body integral with a fixing rod, the fixing rod being selectively engaged with a small clearance in one of the blind holes of the single bed modules.

In this way, elements of obstacles can be arranged in the river bed, to adapt and modify at will the whitewater courses.

In practice, it is advantageous to provide that the blind holes are identical to each other, and that the fixing rods are identical to each other, to allow the free positioning of the obstacle elements in any of the blind holes unitary bed modules.

This facilitates the modification of whitewater courses, for example between several successive events of a competition.

Such barrier means with blind holes and penetrating rods are described by way of example.

Other means of removable and interchangeable obstacles may be used, without departing from the scope of the present invention.

According to the invention, the modular lattice support structure comprises:
  • lower elements whose assembly forms a load distribution soleplate able to rest on the ground,
  • upper sills, distributed under the underside of the unitary bed modules,
  • a lattice structure connecting the load distribution flange to the upper stringers.

Such an arrangement makes it possible to adapt easily to the conformation of the generally planar floor, and guarantees the regularity of the support of the unitary bed units.

To further facilitate the adaptation of the structure to a floor possibly non-horizontal or non-flat, and to ensure the level adjustment of the river bed, the lattice structure may advantageously comprise telescopic amounts of height adjustment.

According to an embodiment adapted to constitute a stage of living water, the river of white water according to the invention may comprise:
  • at the upper bed entrance, an upper basin receiving the feed water,
  • two lateral bed branches, generally parallel to each other and spaced apart from each other, connecting the upper basin to an intermediate basin located at an intermediate level between the level of the upper bed entrance and the level of the lower bed exit,
  • a central bed branch, connecting between the lateral bed branches the intermediate basin to a lower basin forming the lower bed outlet.

In this way, the spectators can be arranged all around this set, having a satisfactory view on the course of exercises or competitions. The upper basin serves as flow distribution areas for the two side bed branches, and as a tranquilizer for the water supply. The intermediate basin serves as energy dissipator at the arrival of the side branches of bed, and supplies water to the central bed branch. The lower basin is used primarily as the arrival area, as the damping area of the water flow for the central bed branch, as a loading dock for users, and as a buffer pond for the water supply means such as pumps.

In practice, the central bed branch may have a width greater than the width of the side branches of bed. In this way, one can imagine parallel course competitions, two competitors simultaneously engaging in the respective lateral branches of bed, joining in the intermediate basin to then travel, elbow to elbow, the central branch of bed until lower basin.

According to a first embodiment, the bed unit modules can each form a bed section occupying the entire width of the river bed, and whose length is less than or equal to the maximum authorized width of a non-exceptional road transport vehicle. . In practice, this length is less than or equal to 2.50 m, to comply with the standard of congestion of road vehicles in Europe.

In this way, the unitary bed modules can be transported on a road transport vehicle by being arranged so that the width dimension of the unitary bed unit is found in the length of the road vehicle, and so that the length of the module unitary bed is found according to the width of the road vehicle.

In this first embodiment, the successive bed unit modules are assembled according to respective transverse contact faces.

Advantageously, each unitary bed unit can be limited by two opposed transverse contact faces, generally flat, and may comprise sealing means to ensure the watertightness of the junction between the respective transverse contact faces. adjacent bed unit modules in an assembled situation forming a bed section of the white water river.

The flat shape of the transverse contact faces facilitates the modularity and interchangeability of the single bed modules, which facilitates assembly and allows variations in the shape of the river bed.

The sealing means, integrated in the transverse contact faces, also facilitate the assembly for the construction of the river of white water, as well as the disassembly for the dismantling and the subsequent transport of the river of white water to another site.

To further facilitate changes in the shape of riverbeds, it can be provided that each unitary bed unit has a shape selected from a limited series of bed unit module shapes, said limited series of bed unit module shapes comprising at least a unitary bed side branch unit form, and at least one unit central bed bed module form.

In that the shapes of the single bed modules are limited in number, the cost of producing the molds is reduced, the same mold being able to be used several times in the production of the unitary bed units necessary for the production of a river of water. 'living Water.

In practice, it is desirable to give the lateral bed branches a non-rectilinear shape, with curves and rectilinear portions. For this, the bed side branch unit module forms can comprise at least one rectilinear unitary module shape, whose transverse contact faces are parallel to each other, and a unitary curve module shape, of which the transverse contact faces are angular with respect to each other. Note that the curvature may be transverse and / or vertical.

According to a second embodiment, it can be provided that the bed unit modules can be formed with multiple elements and comprise side bed unit modules with an L-shaped transverse profile occupying all or part of the half-width of the river bed. , having a lower leg limited by two opposite transverse contact faces and a longitudinal contact face, and having a lateral branch bounded by two opposite transverse contact faces.

In this way, we can design bed unit modules each having a smaller volume, which reduces the manufacturing cost of the molds, and which reduces the weight of each unit bed unit for ease of handling .

In this second embodiment, it can advantageously be provided that the lateral bed unit modules comprise rectilinear lateral unitary modules, with transverse contact faces parallel to one another, and lateral unitary modules of curve, having faces cross contact angularly relative to each other.

These different forms of lateral unit modules make it possible to produce rectilinear sections and curved sections of river bed.

In a third embodiment, it can be provided that the bed unit modules can be formed with multiple elements and comprise three parts, that is to say a lower branch and two lateral branches, as defined above.

In one and the other of the embodiments described above, it can advantageously be provided that sealing modules, of elastically compressible material, are interposed between the contact faces and / or the contact zones of the unitary modules. adjacent beds, sealing between adjacent bed units and allowing orientation variations between adjacent bed units.

In the embodiment illustrated on the figures 1 and 2 a river of white water according to the invention comprises a river bed 1 adapted to guide a stream of water 12 between an inlet upper bed 2 and a lower bed outlet 3, and comprises water supply means 4 for introducing the stream of water 12 to the upper bed inlet 2.

In the illustrated embodiment on the figures 1 and 2 , the river bed 1 comprises, at the upper bed entrance 2, an upper basin 5 receiving the feed water. The upper basin 5 is connected to two side bed branches 6 and 7, generally parallel to one another and spaced apart from each other. Each lateral bed branch 6 and 7 connects one of the lateral ends of the upper basin 5 to a respective lateral end of an intermediate basin 8, which itself is connected in its central part to a central bed branch 9. central bed branch 9 connects the intermediate basin 8 to the central portion of a lower basin 10 forming the lower bed outlet 3. The upper basin 5 is disposed above the lower basin 10, and at a distance L1 of the intermediate basin 8. Each of the bed side branches 6 and 7 has an average width L2, while the central bed branch 9 has an average width L3 greater than the average width L2 of the bed side branches 6 and 7.

En considérant la figure 2, on voit que le bassin intermédiaire 8 est situé à un niveau intermédiaire H2 entre le niveau supérieur H1 du bassin supérieur 5 formant l'entrée supérieure de lit 2 et le niveau inférieur H3 du bassin inférieur 5 formant la sortie inférieure de lit 3.Considering the figure 2 it can be seen that the intermediate basin 8 is located at an intermediate level H2 between the upper level H1 of the upper basin 5 forming the upper bed entrance 2 and the lower level H3 of the lower basin 5 forming the lower bed outlet 3.

Such a river of white water illustrated on figures 1 and 2 is particularly adapted to constitute a stadium of white water, limited by a polygonal contour 11 around which can be distributed spectators who will all have a good visibility of the events occurring on the white water courses.

À titre d'exemple, on peut donner aux parcours d'eau vive les dimensions suivantes : H1 = 5 m ; H2 = 2 m ; H3 = 0 m ; L1 = 50 m ; L2 = 2,50 m ; L3 = 6 m. Simultanément, on peut prévoir un flux d'eau 12 de 5 à 6 m3/s.For example, the following dimensions can be given to white water courses: H1 = 5 m; H2 = 2 m; H3 = 0 m; L1 = 50 m; L 2 = 2.50 m; L3 = 6 m. At the same time, a flow of water 12 of 5 to 6 m 3 / s can be provided.

La paroi de fond 60 se raccorde à deux parois latérales 63 et 64.Considering the figure 3 , illustrating the river bed in cross-section along the bed side branch 6, it can be seen that the stream of water 12 is guided in a unitary bed unit 6a according to a first embodiment, generally U-shaped open towards the above. The unitary bed unit 6a comprises a bottom wall 60 whose lower face 61 is flat. and whose upper face 62 has blind holes such as holes 13, 14 and 15. The bottom wall 60 is connected to two side walls 63 and 64.

The blind holes 13, 14 and 15 each allow the selective attachment of a removable obstacle member 100. Such an obstacle element 100 comprises an obstacle body 100a integral with a fixing rod 100b, the fixing rod 100b being selectively engagable with a small clearance in one of the blind holes 13, 14 or 15 of a unitary bed module 6a.

The modular lattice carrier structure 16 comprises lower elements whose assembly forms a load distribution plate 17 able to rest on the ground. The modular lattice support structure 16 further comprises upper longitudinal members 18 which are oriented in the longitudinal direction of the bed side branch 6, and which are distributed under the lower face 61 of the unitary bed unit 6a. A lattice structure 19 connects the load distribution flange 17 to the upper longitudinal members 18.

As illustrated schematically on the figure 1 , the river bed 1, for example in the bed side branch 6, is formed of a succession of bed unit modules, adjacent one after the other, and assembled according to respective transverse contact faces. There are for example the two bed unit modules 6a and 6b, adjacent to each other in plan view.

For more details, we now consider the figure 4 , illustrating on a larger scale the unitary bed units 6a and 6b according to the first embodiment. The unitary bed unit 6a is bounded by two transverse contact faces 65 and 66, which are generally flat and opposite one another.

On the figure 5 the same unitary bed unit 6a has been illustrated in front view, and on its transverse contact face 66, sealing means 67 are distinguished to ensure the watertightness of the junction between the transverse faces. respective two modules of adjacent beds when they are assembled to form the river of white water, for example as shown in figure 4 .

The sealing means 67 may for example be made by a continuous groove connecting the upper zones of the side walls 63 and 64, and in which is engaged a bead of elastic material forming a compressed gasket when two single unit modules of bed 6a and 6b are pressed against each other.

Considering again the figure 4 it is seen that the unitary bed unit 6a in top view is generally rectangular in shape, that is to say that its transverse contact faces 65 and 66 are parallel to each other. Such a unitary bed module 6a is a rectilinear unitary unit, that is to say that it is adapted to form a rectilinear stretch of river bed. By cons, the unitary bed module 6b has transverse faces 68 and 69 which are angular with respect to each other, that is to say which are not parallel but form between them a non-zero angle C . Such a unitary bed module 6b is a unitary curve module, that is to say it is adapted to produce a curved section of river bed.

We now consider the figure 6 , illustrating in cross section the central bed branch 9 of the figure 1 . Similar to what is done for the bed side branches 6 and 7, the central bed branch 9, in this first embodiment, consists of a succession of bed unit modules such as the module 9a. This unitary bed unit 9a comprises a bottom wall 90 having a flat bottom face 91 and a top face 92, and comprises two side walls 93 and 94, the assembly forming an upwardly open U-shaped structure for guiding the flow of water. 12. Similarly, as illustrated, there are also provided blind holes opening on the upper face 92 and in which can be fixed removable obstacle members 100 and interchangeable.

We also find, on the figure 6 , the modular lattice bearing structure 16, with the load distribution flange 17, the upper longitudinal members 18, the lattice structure 19 and the telescopic uprights 20 for height adjustment.

En se référant à nouveau aux figures 1 et 2, on distingue en outre, dans le mode de réalisation illustré, deux toboggans de départ 21 et 22 qui descendent depuis une plate-forme de départ 23 jusqu'au bassin supérieur 5 respectivement au voisinage des entrées des deux branches latérales de lit 6 et 7.Referring again to figures 1 and 2 , in the illustrated embodiment, there are also two starting slides 21 and 22 which descend from a platform starting 23 up to the upper basin 5 respectively in the vicinity of the entrances of the two side bed branches 6 and 7.

On considère maintenant le second mode de réalisation illustré schématiquement sur la figure 7.We now consider the second embodiment illustrated schematically on the figure 7 .

In this second embodiment, the unitary bed units comprise side bed unit modules with an L-shaped profile. For example, the lateral bed unit module 6c comprises a lower branch 70 bounded by two transverse contact faces 71 and 72. opposed and by a longitudinal contact face 73, and comprises a lateral branch 74 limited by two opposite transverse contact faces 75 and 76. The lateral bed unit module 6c occupies all or part of the half-width of the river bed to be produced.

On the figure 7 , the assembly of two identical symmetrical side bed units 6c and 6d makes it possible to form a river bed section, each of the lateral bed unit modules 6c and 6d occupying the half-width of the river bed.

It is also possible to interpose a parallelepipedal spacing module between the longitudinal contact faces 73 of the lateral bed unit modules 6c and 6d, to modify at will the width of the river bed thus formed.

The lateral bed unit modules 6c and 6d, having transverse contact faces 71 and 72 parallel to one another, are rectilinear lateral unit modules for making rectilinear sections of river bed.

In this second embodiment, the curved river bed sections can be made using lateral unitary curve modules such as the module 6e, the transverse contact faces 77 and 78 of which are angular with respect to the other.

On the figure 7 , there is further illustrated another embodiment for the sealing means between the different bed unit modules. This other embodiment of the sealing means can be used in both embodiments of the previously described unitary bed modules.

In this case, the seal is provided by sealing modules 80, of elastically compressible material, interposed between the contact faces of the adjacent bed unit modules 6e and 6f. By compression, the sealing modules 80 seal between the adjacent bed unit modules 6e and 6f, and they also have the advantage to allow orientation variations between the adjacent bed unit modules 6e and 6f, without losing the seal. In principle, the sealing modules 80 may advantageously have a small thickness, in particular a smaller relative thickness than that shown in FIG. figure 7 which is schematized for illustrative purposes. The contact faces of the adjacent bed unit modules 6e and 6f are structured to oppose the vertical displacement of the sealing modules 80 under the effect of the weight of the water.

The present invention is not limited to the embodiments which have been explicitly described, but it includes the various variants and generalizations thereof within the scope of the claims below.
