Abstract

L'invention concerne un système de propulsion (100) ainsi qu'un procédé de production d'énergie cinétique pour un moyen de propulsion (150) d'un véhicule. Le système de propulsion (100) est réalisé en tant que système hybride série qui comprend un moteur électrique (140) pour l'entraînement du moyen de propulsion (150), un générateur (120) pour la production de l'énergie électrique pour le moteur électrique (140) ainsi qu'un moteur à combustion interne (110) pour la production de l'énergie cinétique pour le fonctionnement du générateur (120). Le générateur (120) est réalisé sous forme de générateur (120) supraconducteur. De l'hydrogène est utilisé en tant que liquide de refroidissement pour le générateur (120). Dès que l'hydrogène dans l'environnement du générateur (120) dépasse une température prédéfinie, il est retiré du générateur (120) à l'état gazeux et est acheminé jusqu'à un dispositif (110, 180) qui traite l'hydrogène de telle sorte qu'une énergie pouvant être utilisée dans le système de propulsion (100) est produite. Le dispositif (110, 180) peut par exemple être une pile à combustible (180) et/ou le moteur à combustion interne (110) réalisé sous forme de turbine à hydrogène.
